We visited several Absinthe bars in Prague. This location hands down was the best. Great selection with friendly bartenders that are happy to explain your various options. Service always has some flair. Dry ice or fire is used to liven up the experience. Don't be afraid to try the beetle absinthe. They do take credit cards but offer a cash discount. Ok to sit at the bar. There is also a very cozy area upstairs to sit in. In addition to the two types of absinthe service we also tried the cocktails. The Poppy juice absinthe cocktail was delightful and perfect for anyone who might not be a straight absinthe fan. Prices here I felt were in line with other places nearby but they offered much better selection service and atmosphere for the money.

As I’m not a fan of bars in this touristic area of Prague and moreover I’m not a fan of Absinth… I have to admit this is really cool place! Dozens of types of absinth prepared by the bartender in a way that the cocktails turn out to be really good! Came for one shot - stayed for 4 cocktails. Definitely will come back again!

Amazing absinthe bar!! Every time I come to Prague, My wife and I visit this bar. They always have amazing service, the staff is extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. The selection of absinthe is large and expansive. Would recommend to all who enjoy a good drink and phenomenal experience.

I fell in love with this place. The street nearby is loaded with absinthe bars but as we came to Prague this time I knew I Had to go there. The Absintherie seems to be quite small but its actually pretty spacious! Various types of serving and liquor choice. My dream was to experience the traditional way of absinthe being served - poured over a sugar cube on the heated spoon. Unfortunately you can only see the way of preparing the drink when you sit by the bar. We were seated at the table but nevertheless the experience was magical. The interior is 100% green fairy themed, reminding me of an old fashioned bohemian place. The piano guy played so wonderfully, he is truly a master of his art and the music was perfectly completing the whole experience. I'll definitely go back there once I visit Prague once again!

An absintherie with a lot of knowledge, lot of skills, a great absinth tasting, cocktails and hot shots. They speak great English and will answer all your questions while you enjoy a great drink.

The staff was friendly and the place looks great. We tried a macerated absinth and a cocktail which were great(quite different from the absinthe we have in our country). Heads up, it is pretty strong. They also have a small shop where you can buy souvenirs.

Surely one of the Best bar, i’ve done in my life. As a Bartender, it was a real pleasure to try some cocktail here. We even came the day after our first visit. I fully recommand this venue Thanks to all the team.

This place was awesome. A must experience. The place was super busy and hard to find space so ideal to have your experience and go even though you might want to stay on but there will be people waiting on to visit. It’s not so expensive but I would say it’s worth it regardless. The staff were really nice and informative on how to go about using the contraption and friendly in giving their views and opinions.

Quite an amazing experience we had in Prague. We were warned that many absinthe seller in the city are not selling authentic absinthe, so we were weary. However, the staff here was very knowledgeable and provided us with a very interesting and educational experience. We had some absinthe prepared in the traditional manner as well as a fantastic cocktail called the Poppy Lollypop which we loved so much we came back for it the next day.

Friendly staff… explained the different kinds of Absinthe. Drinks were excellent and prices were reasonable. Would definitely recommend this place for an Absinthe experience.

Quirky, seemingly hip and definitely a local spot are the first impressions. Definitely a haven or a heaven for authentic Absinthe lovers… We came here as part of a tour for Absinthe with an Airbnb group. Everything was really 5 star worthy with the exception of rude staff and some patrons. Making off shot comments to us to make clear they were either too cool for school, inebriated beyond their manners or perturbed by tourists. I leave reviews and I never take them lightly; particularly if I am giving critique. I don’t think the how’s and why’s are important but I will say that our experience with aggressive and unprofessional persons here was genuine. Otherwise great place! Don’t let that stop you, it could have been a bad day for whomever was warming a bar stool or bussing drinks around. Cheers…

Bartender is amazing, happily tells and explains intricacies about Absinth and it's making. Stellar cocktails. Watching bartenders craft here is worth visiting on it's own!

The original Absintherie! Super nice interiors and high attention to details, with everything clean and tidy. 🎀 It is a must-see if you are looking for a unique experience based on this infamous European liqueur. I'd strongly suggest to go through some of its story before ordering, so to have an idea of what's on the menu and choose something appropriate for your own taste or needs (country of origin, alcoholic content, etc) instead of flying blind and spending money randomly. [food was not available as far as I know]

Been to a few Abinsthe bars in Prague and this is definitely my favourite. We had two different cocktails and they were delicious! Staff were very friendly and attentive.

The absinthe cocktail of the day exceeded all expectations, tantalizing our taste buds with its exquisite blend of flavors. Even my partner was thoroughly impressed by the remarkable experience. We were overjoyed by the exceptional service and will undoubtedly recommend this place to anyone seeking the ultimate absinthe indulgence.

A must visit for anyone who's looking for some variety from regular cocktail bars and beer gardens. This is an Absinth Valhalla with an incredible amount of absinths to choose from. Our bartender was very attentive and explained everything in detail and was extremely helpful. Be sure to get your cameras ready for the preparation process, it's a mini fire show. Prices are not cheap, but it's a unique experience worth trying. Highly recommended!

It is a one of a kind experience in Prague! Very good place, despite it's location. The menu is quite vast and can satisfy even the most demanding tastes. Big variety of absinthe brands and origins as well as a nice cocktail menu. Also the staff is friendly, helpful and can guide you through the whole absinthe drinking experience!

Beyond cool bar. Must do in Prague. Absinth very tasty, interior simply gorgeous, if only the service was on-point.

We decided we wanted to try some absinthe while in Prague. I assumed we would just be taking a quick shot or something, but it turned out to be a cool experience! We both tried the distilled absinthe which is served with water and dry ice. Although I don't think I'm a huge fan of absinthe (I hate licorice!), we are really glad we went here to try it.

A bit loud, not a lot of space but the bartenders were great, could give nice recommendations, explanations and history or absinthe to virgins 😄 the macerated absinthe was heavenly on the tongue and even smoother with some added cold water, went down the throat almost too easily

Definitely a place in Prague that I'll come back when back in the city. It has a large variety of absinthe but also some tasty drinks. As the pictures shows, the drinks also have a great presentation, specially the absinthe zombie 🧟‍♂️. We had a great evening there... Went there to have only one drink, left after 5 drinks each 😊 Staff explains about the differents types of absinthe and how to drink it and on top of that, also is very friendly

Great place to hangout with friends. We loved the atmosphere here and the location. The service was somewhat slow but it’s tolerable due to the atmosphere and location. Hope to be back and enjoy another brew soon.

Awesome place in the center of Prague! We googled this place while searching for the best absinthe bar in Prague, and found this. We went around 9-10pm and it was still quite empty. The service/waiters were super nice and they helped us order/recommended us what and how to drink. Definitely ask for recommendations and guidance if you haven't been to an absinth bar before! We tried a few of the cocktails and the bohemian way of drinking absinthe. We also met such nice people/complete strangers at the other table, who came to drink with us. The atmosphere here was reaaaally nice and chill. I enjoyed my time here a lot. I will definitely come back.

I was there in July and it was a great place. I had never tried real quality absinthe before and there is truly a wide selection of french, local or other brands... It was a great experience and the service was also great, the waitress was I think called Denissa, she was really helpful and cool. I recommend the place, if you are truly interested in trying a classy glass of absinthe 😉

Knowledgeable staff will recommend you an absinthe, or an absinthe drink depending on your taste. Atmosphere is great and the drinks menu is pretty vast. Would highly recommend.
