Arrive Early. Poorly management of the venue meant there wasn’t enough seats. Part of our party had to sit in the corridor. Not the jazz club experience we paid for. We came at 915 for a 9pm show, had to queue for half an hour, despite having bought tickets in advance then only to find there was no seats for us - the venue finally sorted additional seating in the aisles and this spilled into the corridor where one of our party sat with a very restricted view. The band were great and the venue is cool - it’s however poorly managed; they clearly oversold tickets tonight.

What a great jazz club in the heart of Prague. We saw Bohemia Big Band and they were fantastic. No food but drinks were reasonable and they had snacks (peanuts, pistachios, etc.). Be prepared with some coins for coat check. We paid for our tickets in advance but seating was open and you can likely get tickets at the door for some shows. If it's a better known artist, I'd buy my tickets because the place isnt big. I recommend 2nd line of seats on the left of the band so you can see everything and not be too close to the drums for larger bands.

What a beautiful night, we attended the Frank Sinatra Jazz Night. The staff were very helpful to assist us finding a place for two people as all tickets were all sold out. The performance was out of this world, the singer and the musicians took us by far to a very beautiful jazz journey Indeed the best Jazz Club I ever attended Hats off and must try when you visit Prague.

Such a miserable experience! We used to like this jazz club for it atmosphere (6 years ago). Now it became a rip off for tourists. They sell much more tickets than seats. We had to sit at small stools in between seats. Place was overcrowded. Huge line at the bar and overcharged drinks. Also now they sell special VIP tickets. Very disappointing evening at the overcrowded place. Music is ok with long breaks. Overall, I would not recommend it for people who search for nice relaxing evening without stress.

Really disappointing, for the reviews we read even in the Guardian (British newspaper) and other links. We paid a cover from $18 euros per general seat. Does not include wardrobe. Since you must leave a "tip" or "money in a basket". You are your own waiter, meaning that you or your companion continually miss the concert sequence. I don't want to imagine paying almost 40 euros for VIPs who don't have waiters either. They're just closer to the stage. The flayer said that the concert was starting at 20 hrs. We arrived 19:45 and the concert was starting one song before. They should also train their bartender because for the total expense you make, they can pay him a course. It has been the worst "Old fashioned" I've ever had and the worst "piña colada" I've ever seen prepared. Better you go to "James Dean" the cocktail menu is really good. Or to Oliva Verde in front of the clock. Really good negroni. Then the cloakroom manager got our clothes wrong. So, what is the reason they give you a token? The night before we paid for the "Jazz boat" that for around $35 euros (without dinner or drinks included) we witnessed an incredible jazz trio with a night walk along the canal. Was JULIUS ĎUSO BAROŠ with a really good bas and pianist that we listened. In Prague there are several jazz clubs it is a pity that we discarded another one near the clock for this one. It's a shame that some places just make their name famous and then go to sleep.

We were there for a jazz concert. The music & flair was very nice. Be there early to get a nice seat! The room is really small and usually a lot of people attend. You will need cash for the wardrobe. There is a little bar next to the concert room, the drinks are pretty basic.. but you go there for the music.

I came with high expectations since it’s a very old classic jazz bar. I was disappointed as it felt like a tourist trap!! The space is nice, but the experience wasn’t. If you are looking for a real jazz experience, this isn’t the right one. The singer was annoying and talking and laughing too much between the songs which made it feels like a tourist show that’s not enjoyable. I’m giving the place two stars for the great drummer and pianist who were amazing and I enjoyed listening to them. The seats as others mentioned are side facing the stage which made it uncomfortable. The performance was from 7-8:20 pm but they took 20 mins break after less than 30 minutes. Usually, it should be for 2 hours!

The performers were great. The staff were quite bad and don't care about the amount of noise they created to disturb the show. They were asked multiple times by audience members, but did not care enough to be quiet. The behaviour is no surprise, though, given the managers example, he seemed to go out of his way to be rude and dissmissive when we were waiting to enter or asking simple, polite questions. Was genuinely ashamed of himself when he offered us 2 cds as part of the "merchandise" included in our ticket. Laughable. Imagine pissing away a 60 year legacy because you don't care about the experience of your customers. VIP seats? please. So disappointing.

Europas ältester Jazzclub. Tolles, kleines Ambiente! Schöne Musik. Tickets günstig. Man muss auch kein VIP Ticket kaufen um gute Plätze zu haben. Reicht wenn man etwas früher kommt. Sehr empfehlenswert, wenn man schon in Prag ist und Jazz mag.

I checked the program schedule on the Reduta Website before I visit. of course, I made a reservation in advance. me and my husband sat right in front of the stage, and it was very enjoyable to hear the live sounds of the musicians and singers. the atmosphere was also very nice. this is a club I would like to visit again nest time.

Amazing jazz club but needs refinement. You have to make a donation for using the cloakroom if taking in rucksacks or bigger bags. They don't reserve seats for you like it says on the website. It's first come, first serve. Obviously alcohol is a little pricier here, plus the bar is tiny. I do recommend the beer from the saxophone tap though. Sound was a little off from the speakers. But overall once you're sat down enjoying the jazz, it's brilliant. Wish they did table service during the mini intervals. One of the staff tried clearing the tables whilst the jazz was still ongoing near the end and made a scene dropping glasses. Go if you love jazz but it's not quite what I thought it'd be, but for the price and entertainment it's a great experience 👍

I love this historical place. The whole vibe that is created here is amazing. If you want a special evening with good blues or jazz, this is the place to go. Two things that could be improved: On a busy Sunday evening, there is only one guy working behind the bar, while the whole place wants to get a drink before the show starts and during the break. Weird in my opinion. Also I don’t really like how the chairs and couches are situated compared to the stage, that’s always on your side. It makes sitting here uncomfortable. The jazz and the general vibe makes up for everything though. Besides the two issues I would still recommend everything to go here!

Lovely place, outstanding music. Giving 1 star less because the bar situation was rather stupid. Only 1 person serving which took forever. We waited the whole break just to order the first drink. I suggest they have a 2nd person there helping out with glasses, mixing and or payments. The live music performance was splendid! Cozy atmosphere.

Music was OK (not great not terrible) but that might vary according to your selection. My comment to the manager would be: 1) pay the guy at the cloakroom some decent money because the way he asks for tips is just embarrasing 2) refurbish the seating so people do not need to sit with their head turned completely left/right or provide them with neck massage vouchers after the show 3) give the bartender proper training so that should not touch the fruits for cocktail with fingers she takes money with, should not take people's drink when not finished from the tables, should be able to say "hello" to the guests, she should make the wine glasses dry before giving them... 4) make more than two copies of drinks menu so that people can choose while waiting in the long queue Everything would be perfectly fine if this is low key / alternative jazz bar but it is silly that Reduta tries to act as a leading club of Prague Jazz Scene...

I would recommend to stop by if you visiting Prague. It's nice, retro club with really good music. I wouldn't say it's overpriced as you are in the center of the city. It's better to book the tickets in advance and also make a reservation. Although the reservation won't guarantee any space, I would recommend to come a bit earlier to find a good spot. We came 30 mins before it started and it was a good decision. My boyfriend really like jazz and I took him there for his birthday as surprise and he really enjoyed it. Thank you!

Its the oldest jazz club in Prague and there is a lot of history; many legendary musicians been here. The overall atmosphere is very nice and the performance was good. The staff were below average, the bartender needs training and their manager(guy for the costs) is not very polite. You have to leave your coats in the entrance and you have to pay a tip or 'money in a basket'. It will be better if you book your tickets online, since its a small place and it is always crowded.

The oldest jazz club of Prague! Many legendary musicians been here and it totally worth it to get a vip ticket so you sit in one of their seats! The sound though wasn't the best... No sound engineer in the console and the mixing was unbalanced! It's a pity that legendary place not to have the best sound! We heard 2 bands. The one with the woman singer was really good! The other one us musicians were really good but as a band they need more practice for sure!

It had a good band playing, but what was supposed to be a tribute to giants of the saxophone had very little of it on their repertoire. The place is expensive and half, the better half must I say, is reserved for absolutely no-one and stays empty. Not worth the money! Only gave 3 stars cause the musicians where actually very good, but the venue deserves only 1.

An intimate club setting to enjoy some of the finest jazz Prague has to offer. Grab a drink and sit down for a great show. If you want to sit close to the stage, grab the VIP tickets and get ready for a very fun night of smooth jazz. If it's good enough for William Jefferson Clinton to play a set on the saxophone, it's good enough for you to spend an evening enjoying live music in the heart of Prague.

Lovely jazz by great musicians. 5 stars for them, the management scores 2. Some recommendations for improvement to the management: 1. please ensure some air-conditioning as the air is not breathable with 80-100 people in the hall; 2. please do not allow food in the hall. The place is so squeezed, that it does not feel comfortable stranger eating sandwiches almost over me. Everyone can survive 2 hours without food and Prague is full of lovely pubs and restaurants tourists can go after the jazz sessions.

This is definitely a tourist trap and a gimmick set up to milk tourists. The venue is decorated with cheesy foam board prints because they can’t even bother to frame their pictures. The musicians were talented, and so was the singer, but you could tell he was on a tourist circuit; he would make the same jokes at every table during intermissions, thinking one table could not overhear another, and he would have these lead-in monologues to songs that were so awkward and rehearsed and contrived. The band takes a break for 15 mins every 3 songs. Every song sounds the same. The light was surprisingly bright, so they didn’t even have that dim jazz club vibe. The musicians were wearing old polos and cargo shorts and New Balance sneakers (to be expected), but the singer tried and yet was wearing a frumpy, wrinkly vest. It was a very low energy performance … the talent was there, but it seemed like they had done it a thousand times. There was no feeling or emotion on stage, which made things even more uncomfortable as a spectator. This place is really lame and overrated. Yet another gem of history turned into a corny circus show for visitors. I wouldn’t recommend unless you feel like fighting off the feeling of cringe all night.

Little place to listen to jazz. So we looked for a jazz club that has live performance, and we didn't disappointed. The place is pretty small but the listening area is nice that way. You have one room to order a beer whenever you want, and wasn't that expensive. The place costs money, and it's not cheap, but it has its unique style. The band was good and the sound was OK. You can keep your coat at the front without cost.

The music and venue were great for a New Years Celebration. However, we were extremely disappointed by the “3 course meal” that was included with our tickets. The food was simply an assortment of sandwiches, cold meats, cheeses, fruits, and some pastries that was served at the same time. The music was fantastic and the singer welcomed every guest individually. When the food would have been better, it would have been a fantastic evening.

(Translated by Google) Huge disappointment. The club obviously only benefits from its wasted glory. Right at the entrance we were surprised by the presenter who probably bounced off the cottage from the fire, otherwise I can't explain the outfit, unfortunately everyone was dressed like this, including the band members and the singer. Absolutely undignified and embarrassing. For a drink, you have to go for one girl who can't catch up at the bar, the prices are burnt out, the quality is lousy. In addition, the repertoire did not include even half of what they promised on posters and on the web, the singer also had problems with English, let alone entertain the audience in some way. Basically, I don't know what else could be ruined by others, they won't teach us there anymore. Naprosto nedůstojné a trapné. V podstatě nevim co by se ještě dalo zkazit dalšího, nás už tam učitě neuvidí.

It was my dream for such a long time to visit a jazz club and Reduta made this dream fulfillment really perfect. Beautiful music, nice atmosphere. It was a little bit crowded and hot, though. You'd better take it into account and don't dress up to warm;) It's popular place, so it will be better to book tickets ahead or buy them at least an hour before the concert. Otherwise you will spend pretty long time in a row for tickets.

Try to arrive at least 20 min late, when they inevitably starting stacking people over each other, you're will be on top at least :)

An excellent memory during our visit to Prague :) We went there without reservations, there were a few places left but it is true that it is more prudent to book. A music event is always great with great performers! Tickets for the club are not cheap, but worth it. Clean and cozy nice club. The tall man in the cloakroom instructs the guest to pay a mandatory tip in a bouncy unclassifiable style. I have never encountered such unintelligent behavior anywhere in the world. This is not the first time I've been here, this man has treated us the same way. Shock, repulsive figure.

    1. The guy that works in the jackets' closet was rude and not very nice, what effects the beginning of the evening. 2. VERY CROWDED. We got two seats and one of them was facing the wall with no ability to watch. Even after the concert started, people tried to find a place to seat. The easy solution is to simply sell less tickets... In case you don't have enough room. 3. One more problem caused by the small place - people can't get their drinks because there is no way to get back to your seats!!! The music was fine but it depends on the specific concert.

FIRST TIME AT A JAZZ CLUB. A club with amazing history. Didn’t know Bill Clinton played the sax here. The Ella tribute band played my all time favourite jazz tunes, Girl from Ipanema and Dream a little dream of Me. Thank you
