As a starter we had the tomato salad with straciatella and the sea bream ceviche, the sea bass and the Czech duck as the main dish. The tomato salad was excellent and fresh so was the sea bream ceviche, but I had expected more flavor from both. The sea bass was well cooked and with a nice and mild vegetable chutney. The duck was interesting, the breast was almost rare (which I liked) and the duck leg was pulled from the bone and fried like a croquette. The side sauce here was excellent but also a bit mild, kind of soothing taste. The wine pairing was good, didn’t expect much from Czech wines but was pleasantly surprised. Overall I rated this restaurant four stars because I would expect bold flavors from a Michelin star restaurant. Everything tasted smooth and soothing but I wished for a stronger commitment to a more memorable culinary experience.

We came to V Zatisi for my wife's birthday. They welcomed us to a nice window table. We both ordered the Zatisi tasting menu, which was 5 courses paired with wines. Our server, Peter, was fantastic. Attentive and helpful. The full waitstaff was just wonderful. My favorite courses were the Monkfish and the Steak Tartar. And my favorite wine was the Chablis. Dessert was also phenomenal. We sat for over 2 hours and were not rushed. It was comfortable and just felt special. Too bad we live 6,000 miles away. We hope to come back again in the future.

I had the five course tasting menu but the pacing of the dishes was very slow, within the first hour of having sat down I had only been served an amuse bouche and the first dish, a fish soup. And even then they forgot to serve the next wine before the second dish. The dishes themselves generally had some nice tastes but nothing extraordinary. The fish dish with pike was actually quite blend and made one look around for a salt sprinkler. The whine pairing with the tasting menu was uninspired, on the verge of being boring. My waiter on the other hand was sparklingly friendly, an extra star for that! I don't think I'll come back, there are better restaurants in Prague at this price point.
