I went there with my friends. We were 4 and the idea was to try traditional food. We ordered 4 different main dishes, side dishes, wine, beer and desserts. The food was overall tasty but not special and maybe not really traditional, rather than touristic. I was disappointed when I asked the waitress, how much grams of meat was the steak and she answered 250grams. My friend asks how many ribs is the dish with the ribs and she said 3 ribs. The food comes and guess what: the portions were extremely small. My steak was mostly 100grams and my friends plate was *1 rib*. We just laughed... the side dishes were good except the fried potatoes that were less than 20 pieces. We order desert and the bring chocolate cake that was not warm with ice cream. First time I see combination of non warm sweet work ice cream but nevermind. The portions of dessert were 2 bites the sweet and 3 bites the ice cream. Summary: I wouldn't go to this restaurant again to try traditional food. I wouldn't never go to this restaurant if I am hungry.... *very small portions*. I hope they become more honest or maybe the waitress becomes more knowledgeable about the food served.

(Translated by Google) This is a restaurant like a pub, just arrange it nicely, it looks nice and tastes ordinary for the money terribly weak !!! And as they decide in the Master chef, the whole competition is a scam and the whole Czechia knows it !!!

Good location, in front of Újezd tram stop and Petřin area. Food was tasty and served beautifully. The prices are higher than average. The staff was friendly and responsive. We were asking to prepare differently main dish for kid, due to allergic issues, and it didn't make any problem to cook a piece of meat according to our needs 👍🏼 thanks for that.

Very good food, but make sure you book in advance! There are few tables because it’s a family run business. Waiters are passionate about their food and explain each element of a dish and what wine pairing goes best with each! Only complaint was there were a lot of small flies attracted to my red wine but not bad. Duck was good, gnocchi was also good!

Absolutely stunning food, service, and ambiance. The chef has done a fantastic job complimenting the name of the restaurant with his superb dishes. The courses were in perfect harmony with one another and flowed smoothly from one to the next. We had the 10 course meal during our honeymoon, and it was the perfect way to end our time in Prague. It is expensive, but if you are going to splurge on a meal while in Prague, this is the place to do it!

(Translated by Google) It's an interesting experience, but I wasn't very excited about it. The portions are very small. Don't expect to find yourself here much, it's more of a tasting. Something is good, something is not. But what I have to praise is the approach of the staff, so nice and professional service can be seen little where. Another thing I liked was the wine. All types of wine are carefully selected for the meal, the staff will present them to you and pour them, each into a designated glass. The wines are very tasty.

(Translated by Google) We had to visit the field restaurant for several reasons. Because of the Michelin star and because of the chef Radek Kašpárek, whom we saw in the competition masterchef. Place in the restaurant only for reservations, but fortunately was not a problem. Ordered on Saturdays on Sundays. From the outside, the restaurant is very inconspicuous, almost tucked away. Welcome to the restaurant nice, helpful. The interior made a pleasant, clean, cozy impression on me. We had a ten-course tasting menu with wine pairing B. And I have to say that I really enjoyed the food from the beginning. Perfectly brought, presented, served with an idea. Taste-perfect interplay. My husband and I enjoyed talking about the food. Look at him before you eat him. Every course pleasantly surprised us with something. Wines very good and well combined with food. Atmosphere relaxed, pleasant. So for us, a perfect taste experience that was really fun. Yes, it's not affordable for everyday visits, but if you want to make yourself happy or buy someone a gift, you will definitely not make a mistake. (Original) Field restauraci jsme museli navštívit z několika důvodů. Kvůli michelinské hvězdě a kvůli šéfkuchaři Radku Kašpárkovi, kterého jsme viděli v soutěži masterchef. Vína velmi dobrá a dobře nakombinovaná k jídlu.

We discovered this place after petrin tower visit (it's in front of the funicular entry). I went with my family (7 people) and could take a sit without any problem. Waiting time was so good and the food as well. Special mention to the Czech plate and goulash. If you love wines, you will find a lot of them available and the waitress explain everything you have to know about them before taste. Very recommended

Wonderful! Went for lunch and got the pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon. The meat was perfectly cooked, and dish had tons of flavor. They can't make the traditional Czech dishes as gluten-free, but all the grilled meats can be ordered when gluten-free sides. Lots of options for excellent Czech wines by the glass. Highly recommended.

The coolest dinner spot we went to in Prague! The spot was so popular that without a reservation, going at a random time (~4pm), we still had to wait for a bit to get a seat. The food was warm, delicious and hearty, and the coolest and best thing I found was their wine selection: they didn’t have a wine menu, but let you try and taste a few wines depending on your preference before deciding on what to get - even for a glass. We ended up getting a wine from a local family winery that was so good that we not only had a glass in the restaurant but bought a bottle to go. Highly recommend!

We recently had a fancy 6 and 8 course dinner here and the food and the restaurant looked great, service was impeccable, prices absolutely adequate. However, the fancy looking food tasted very bland, in german we would say "Schaumschlägerei" as there were many foamy sauces and dips which had not much taste to them at all. At some point, I had to ask for salt and pepper. And no, I didn't have corona at the time 🤣

Cosy little place very busy and a bit of a gem. Booking advisable as they were turning people away when we arrived at 19:30hrs. Food very good and reasonable sized portions. Good sized wine list at competitive prices. Service a little forgetful at times but new staff. Easy to find and just across the road from a tram stop and park. From Archibald hotel it is a 5 min walk through the park.

Excellent! Both food & service were of fine dining standard. The ladies that served us were amazing. Very attentive. You could tell they were passionate about being a family run restaurant and only using local fresh produce. Shimona (sorry if spelt incorrectly) was amazing. Her knowledge of the wines was outstanding. She allowed us to taste several before deciding which one we preferred. If all this wasn't good enough already, the price was very reasonable. We would have expected to pay much more for what we got back home. Could not recommend this place highly enough! Loved it!!! Thank you for an amazing experience!

Definitely the best restaurant in Prague. Seen the reviews on Google so booked a table. Service was amazing from start to finish, food was outstanding and prices were low. Definitely a must try in Prague for traditional food , fine dining and amazing wines to match. 5 star experience.

We visited at 3:30pm, so we had the restaurant to ourselves. Almost walked past it because the entrance is within the hotel and not on the street. We skipped the degustation menu and had three starters, a soup and a main. The pate started and the truffle soup were outstanding. All our food came at the same time, which meant the table was a little crowded. There was no tablecloth, which would have completed the experience of a fancy high end restaurant. The meal came with complimentary amuse bouche and bread with artisanal butter, which was a pleasant surprise. The prices are extremely reasonable. Total bill came up to 1000kc for two, prior to tips. Best meal for quality and price we had in Prague.

I've spent a fair bit of time in Prague, and I keep coming back to this restaurant. Their food is true to the Czech style of food, their spirits are local and of the highest quality, wine selection is always on point. Their prices are more than affordable and the dish you get are always perfectly portioned. I mean this when I say that it is undoubtedly my favorite restaurant in Prague. Go check them out, they are welcoming and amazing at explaining everything from wines to spirits. The staff is friendly and you're guaranteed to have a great time. (I would have posted a pic of the main dish, but it was so appetizing that I had to dig in straight away :D )

I had the lunch degustation menu at Field Restaurant with the non-alcoholic pairing. Field is a classic Michelin restaurant which experiments with some interesting ingredients. I specially liked the third dish with beef, potatoes, yolk and dill. I do recommend the non-alcohol pairing if the wine pairing don’t fit your taste.

Considerable work is done in the kitchen to see real works of art arrive on our plate. Well done to the whole team, we had a perfect dinner. (Original) Wow. Found this place on Google while we were in Prague for the weekend and called for a table. It's small, so I would recommend a reservation. As soon as we showed up, it became apparent that this was going to be a good experience. Everything, from the service to the food to the wine pairings was absolutely fantastic! I would recommend going for the tasting menu (only if you're HUNGRY) with wine pairings. The wine list has obviously had a lot of thought and care put into it. We tried some great wines from the Czech Republic and the surrounding areas, and they all went amazingly with the food they were paired with. The food was lovingly prepared and I've honestly had worse meals at places with Michelin Stars. For the price, this was the best meal I've ever had, hands down. Maybe the best meal, even regardless of price. Can't wait to go back!

If only there were 10 stars to give this place. WOW what a great restaurant! This place is run by a family ever since it's opened. Great ambient, and well designed. Now, to the food - so what they do is taking a traditional Czech food and give their own adaptation. And it's just great! I had the tasting menu and EVERY dish was just perfect. Interesting ingredients from local farmers/wineries/local cheese and so on. There are a lot of ingredients that they are making in house. I think the pictures are speaking for themselves. And the cost is ridiculous for what you'll get. Like I said, 10 stars!

We tried the six course tasting menu with wine pairings for lunch today. We are both gluten free and the staff was able to modify the menu for us so that we could enjoy all of the courses. We really enjoyed all of the food; we're both pretty new to Czech and Slovak cuisine and the menu gave us an excellent introduction to the flavors. Despite being a rather upscale interpretation of the food, the focus on locally sourced products and the friendly service grounded the experience. For each course we got to choose between two applicable Czech or Slovak wines, which was very unique and appreciated. I also liked that it was a family business: our waitress's brother grew and slaughtered the pig whose belly we enjoyed, for example. Overall despite being upscale it felt like being welcomed into somebody's home. The food and wine was of course all excellent, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

This restaurant is amazing and I highly recommend you try and visit. It’s small and there’s no AC so on a hot summer night it’s not the most comfortable, but the staff is very friendly, helpful, and professional! The food is traditional, it’s not a big portion by any means, but the quality is good. The flamed pear with absinth for dessert was awesome. Nice view of the park/hill and easy to get to by walk or public transit.

Yesterday we had the best experience in Prague!!! After 3 days eating "the same" in all the restaurants, we were fortunate to discover the Czech Slovak Restaurant and the surprise was huge!!!!! The food and the service is extraordinary (we have eaten much better than in some Michelin star restaurants that we have tried...). The food is excellent, km0 and cooked with love and intense and surprising flavors!!!! We ate a Tartar steak that we will never forget!!! In addition, we taste excellent wines from the region that they know how to promote and value with love and respect for their culture. And, best of all, it is a business run with the love of the family (brothers and cousins working as a team) and three different venues with tickets for all audiences. 100% recommended and essential !!!! Many thanks family!!!! Raúl from Barcelona

I just had the most wonderful meal at Czech Slovak Restaurant. I had the mushroom soup and the venison/game goulash. It was all just incredible - rich flavors perfectly melded together. I was done with beer for the day, but they do provide samples if you're interested, which is very nice. My waiter was excellent, very friendly and packed up my leftovers. The price was extremely reasonable. This is everything you could want in a restaurant. I wish I could give it 10 stars! Edit: had to come back for the homemade schnapps and dessert! Don't miss the braised pear topped with absinthe and set on fire with walnut-cinnamon ice cream! This restaurant was the most fun place I went in Prague. I wish I could come back and live in this neighborhood for a while. A big thank you to Jakub, my favorite waiter ever ♥️

My personal favorite restaurant in Prague. Everything they prepare is a piece of art. Their drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, are amazing (everyone must try their lemonades). Food, all three appetizers, entrees and desserts, are gorgeously plated. The combination of flavors and textures is simply fantastic. Finally, they have their own beers and pear liquor. This is the type of place you bring people to impress.

After reading all the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor, I had to visit the Czech Slovak Restaurant when I visited Prague, and it exceeded all my expectations. I had the 8 course Degustation menu with paired wines and every course and wine was superb. What elevated this from being a fantastic dining experience to being one of the most amazing and memorable was the passion and dedication of Henrik; part owner and maitre d and the superb service from Denise; Henrik’s wife and my waitress. The restaurant is beautiful; a very calming, relaxed and romantic atmosphere. If you have a passion for great food, wine and exceptional service, then if you visit Prague, you must visit here. In fact, I would suggest that it is worth going to Prague just to visit here! Thank you, Henrik and Denise for the most amazing and unforgettable evening.

We found this family-owned restaurant by chance and were lucky enough to be let in for lunch, since it seemed to be booked up for the whole day. This was easily the best find of our holiday in Prague: the food was exceptional and the service was perfect, super friendly. The owner even came out at the end of the meal and offered us a glass of their homemade schnapps (which was delicious!). We liked it so much we kept bringing it up the next few days. I immediately saved this place and it is definitely going to be the first restaurant I book next time I'm in Prague!

Fabulous experience. The sommelier is quite a character and one who knows his business. Our entire dining extravaganza was less than £55 complete with local wines, draft beers and a taste of homemade brandy which nearly blew our socks off. I'd expect to pay twice as much in major UK cities for this type of service. I can definitely recommend this place especially as it's just a little walk away from the well trodden tourist route. First class hospitality where the waiters spoke multiple languages including English, Spanish and German. Booking recommended.

(Translated by Google) A really outstanding restaurant - every dish was in a kind of "classic" Bohemian, but interpreted in a modern way with great ideas. Seldom eaten so well, even beyond Prague. Service is also on a very high level without it coming across cramped. The drinks (large wine cellar, homemade juices) are of the same high standard. The price of the most expensive main course on the menu was € 14, which is expensive in comparison but also worth every penny. The only drawback is that there was no vegetarian main course on the menu. The partly vegetarian starters also make a delicious meal. And you can't sit outside - it's a shame when the weather is nice, but the food makes up for it several times. And afterwards you can wonderfully walk along the Vltava to the Charles Bridge. Einfach perfekt 👍🏻

An amazing restaurant with superb food. As we were a large group, we had the "short" tasting menu of only 8 courses. Each course was better than the previous, all innovative, playing on the different taste buds and different textures. (Translated by Google) Absolutely famous gastronomic experience, higher price definitely justified. The staff, specifically Czech-speaking (but originally from Slovakia) Bára, with whom it was fun to discuss taste impressions from the first amuse-bouche to dessert, also has a great deal of credit for that. A good idea is also a non-alcoholic pairing, which is reminiscent of alchemy, and for example the appetizer of chanterelles added birch lemonade to a completely new dimension. Inspiration from molecular gastronomy permeates the entire tasting menu. All in all, Field clearly deserves its reputation and position. Celkem vzato si Field jednoznačně zaslouží svou pověst i pozici.

(Translated by Google) Someone in the reviews complains about portion sizes. The Michelin-starred restaurant is not a feeder. But why there has to be "something" to win from the speakers. How about live music? The cook can be seen through the window. Do not wear headgear - a symbol of the craft. So 4 stars, even for repeated the same "sprinkles" on dishes. On the contrary, 6 stars for friendly service.

Good starters (gnocchi and goat cheese) and the mains were almost good, but didn't quite work. The pork tenderloin looks interesting but the parts didn't really come together into a coherent whole. The venison stew's sauce was just too heavy and salty for us, started off great but quickly became a chore to eat. Friendly service and quite a charming place, so I'd say worth a try, but don't arrive with sky high expectations.

We were attracted by the location and high rating, but our experience wasn't very satisfying. The portions initially looked big, but that's only because the food is spread around the big plate. The food was ok, but not excellent. The waitress wasn't very helpful and her recommendations turned wrong. The salad with goat cheese, which she said is like a main dish, should have been warm, it was fully cold and for 200 kr it had 3 very small pieces of cheese and only leafs. It was a simple salad priced as a main dish. We had to wait and look for the waiter when we came and when we wanted to pay, having the feeling of an empty place. Like nobody is interested to serve you.

Elegant dining for not much more than the average Czech prices. They serve a very tasty stout. Elegant reduced and a bit hipstery but nice atmosphere. Went in and ordered the pulled pork and got over charged twice the amount. Said 115 Czech Koruna and paid 275 with a 45 Czech koruna charge for water included. It's a tourist trap and would advise nobody from abroad to go. It's in a tourist area too by the way. Czechs are reknown for incomptent behaviour and bad service but this was bad for these standards when I asked can I move table sue to sun shining in the eyes the waiter suggests going to sit by another window. Oh and food portions tiny. Absolutely terrible and will report to the police for theft.

We were quite disappointed because there are an high ratings. the soup was very salty the rustic fries were frozen. The service was confusing and not very welcoming.

Great food and amazing service. Very nice location, and easy to get to with trams passing by right outside. I was here twice, and I'll definitely return again in the future. Highly recommended 😊👍

Best food I had so far in Czech Republic, the meat was tender, melting in your mouth, and the sauce was exceptionally well seasoned Must go to for everyone visiting Prague

This was one of the most fantastic dining experiences I've ever had! Locally owned and family run restaurant with incredible food, matched with exquisite local wines. At each course you get a choice of two different wines which was a lot of fun! Highly recommend!

It's all about the food. Very tasty food in a no-frills restaurant. But the food is enough reason to keep going back....yummm!!

Good food, comes in big portion. I ordered the Czech plate, that is consisting of pork meat like brisket, sousage. A little bit fat bit tasty. Update after we paid, prices on the boil are slightly higher than the one on the menu.

Service was good and professional. My friend and I ordered the goulash and the roasted duck leg. The beef gulash was well cooked and tasty but way too heavy on salt. I don’t recommend the duck leg which was extremely dry.

We came here because of the great reviews and our expectations were met by far. This restaurant has a small menu so everything is fresh and a great wine list of local Czech wine. The sommelier is amazing, extremely knowledgeable and the place is worth a visit just because of her!

Reserved this restaurant for a very long time because of the attractive photos. Warm services with detailed introduction about the dishes. 4 course menu is really enough for us as we are not that Hungary today and two of us are kids within 90 minutes, finally we still overrun until 8:30. Clever for the restaurant to have a sofa for customer who arrived on time while waiting for the table. Both starters are not I quite like so better don’t comment. Goose soup is a bit too salty for me. Mushroom soup is great with potatoes in it. Main course we choose something more regular like pork and chicken only instead of rabbit, deer and goose. The pork is out of my imagination that can do something like that. Is that a real traditional Czech style? Or a fusion one. Not quite so sure. I prefer the pork instead of chicken, chicken one tastes no special for me. What surprise me is desert ‘the apple pie’ not the very unhealthy super sweet style,it’s the best tonight. But what’s the most important for a fine dinning is better without kids under 10. One more thing is for beer 🍺, they will bring you some to try before you choose, that’s really generous and well service. I appreciate that a lot.

This restaurant is just great. We came here in a group of five and expected a "normal" restaurant. We were surprised of the fancyness, as it doesn't look like it from the outside. The service is OUTSTANDING. We reserved a table and when we were there, the table wasn't ready yet. We could wait on a couch and we even received an aperetif on the house. The six course menu was great and really tasty. I can recommend the menu with vine, because in every course you can try from two bottles and then choose which you want. To all the vines and courses we received information about the heritage, fun facts etc. If you can afford it, definitely a must-go!

Very good traditional Goulash with deer and boar. Also a good local wine. The home made ice tea is nice (not so sweet). Only the goat salat as appetizer would get a 5-star but overall the service and food I enjoyed. Recommend this place. Pricing: 10-16€ for lunch (only the food)

I am excited to share my experience at this establishment, where I had the pleasure of trying the traditional Czech dish goulyash and local beer. To my surprise, the beer I received had a high alcohol content of 13%, unlike the conventional beers that typically have a lower percentage ranging from 4-7%. Despite this revelation, I thoroughly enjoyed the beer, which complemented the flavors of the goulyash. The dish was exceptionally tasty, and the pricing of the establishment was relevant to the quality of the food and drinks. Additionally, I found the service provided by our waiter to be exemplary. He was attentive, courteous, and displayed a genuine interest in ensuring our satisfaction. As a result, we tipped him generously to express our appreciation for the exceptional service. Overall, I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking to indulge in authentic Czech cuisine and beverages. The food, drinks, and service are all of exceptional quality, and my experience was nothing short of fantastic. Thank you for reading my review, and I hope you enjoy your visit to this restaurant as much as I did

Surprisingly we were the only ones at lunch time, the services was very quick. Both mains we tried looked and tasted great.

Great restaurant to sample local cuisine in a elevated fashion. Enjoyed a mushroom soup appetizer along with the confit duck! Robust flavors and wonderful service.

Great place with amazing food with a twist. Not just brutal Czech cuisine (still being nice though:-). And not pure high cuisine. Something in between, very tasty and very friendly staff. Kraft schnapps is highly recommended! For evenings having reservation is a must.

Absolutely one of the best meals I had during a 3 week tour of 6 countries, and an unbelievable experience especially for the price. During the meal we kept remarking that this should be a Michelin-star rated restaurant because the food was so incredible, and were amazed when at the end the bill was only $28 (USD) each between two people. That was for the pate as an appetizer, splitting two traditional dishes, plus a dessert, two beers, and two Cokes. Simply amazing and a must if you are in Prague.

First day we came here without a reservation we couldn’t get a table so we booked for the next day, and we’re glad that we did. The service was very friendly and attentive, but fast. And the food was fantastic, with different seasonal options as well as Czech staples. Will come back if I’m visiting Prague

Absolutely phenomenal! We made a reservation not knowing we were signing up for an eight course tasting menu, but damn are we glad we did! Food was outstanding and the servers were very kind (they even accommodated my cocktail choices instead of doing the wine pairing they offered 🙃). 10/10 would recommend 👌

My food portion was small but the taste however was good, for the price they are charging they should consider changing their portion size, I was still hungry after my dinner here 😭 service however was wonderful, everyone spoke good English and were very prompt to serve us. Atmosphere was also cozy and warm. Close to a tram stop.

The place itself was fine, but for the relatively high price the food was very average (even though there was nothing wrong with it per se). I would probably not come here again, because you can get a lot better/more interesting food for the same price in many other restaurants in Prague.

Great experience! This restaurant was really good! The dishes were very delicious and nicely served! The service was great! Waiters were really helpful and friendly! The prices were fair for such a restaurant and food quality. I recommend it!

Gute Preise. Wieder gerne…

A good modern Czech meal. I wish there was more bacon in the gnocchi and the fried onion was a bit more crunchy. The seasoning was great, but it’s just insufficient meat and condiments that were not cooked well that we couldn’t finish this one. The baked other dish with the baked sirloin was very good though.

Service was wonderful. Food was amazing. Atmosphere was just ok. Room was uncomfortably warm taking away from the experience. However would absolutely recommend the place for a nice Czech meal.

Great flavors, can tell care goes into the version of these dishes. Had the goulash, came out with Luke warm sauce but everything else was perfect. Didn't distract from the flavors. Would definitely recommend.

So let's get serious about traveling and food. It is restaurants like this that are the gems of truly local, culturally correct, and excellent dining. This is Prague so eat the best of this fabulous cities food. No pizza, burgers, kabob, and sushi. This little family restaurant served my son and I am extraordinary meal. Rich, creamy mushroom soup followed by a game goulash (deer, boat and mutton) and duck confit. Each was superb.

Called to make a reservation at 5 am and was told we didn't need to make a reservation for 6 am. Arrived early, and at first, there was only 1 more table occupied. So, I was a bit worried. Quickly, the restaurant filled fully. The kind waitress advised the goulash, which was really yummy. As desert, we had the puff pastry cake. Also delicious. Sweet, but not too sweet. Only 1 point could be improved. Toilets are down the stairs. They need a more regular cleaning.
