I'm gonna add to the hype here. This place is seriously good - for what you pay, too! Pizza is what you'd expect to get for about $20/£20 but at half the price. It's basically a hole in the wall but Johnny speaks excellent English and will gladly make half-n-half pizzas to make sure you can try different things on the menu.

The food was exceptional. The octopus was perfectly cooked(crunchy on the outside but the inside is melting in your mouth), the scorpionfish was also interesting and the desert was just🤌🏻🤌🏻. The staff was really friendly and welcoming. Really worth trying if you are in Prague

This review was 2 years in the making because honestly we've forgot to do it, however, today, this small pizzaria has come up during diner, and we had to share how awesome it is. At first, we were just looking for a place to have a bite, we searched google and found Johnnie's. It's small, but extremely cozy. The cook (I hope the guy already won a prize) is so good and so cool. Pizzas are awesome, can be enjoyed inside if you have some room and you can have a chat with some locals. All in all, great place, honest people, and we hope to come back.

One of the best meal for us in the spring trip in Europe. The meal was great and also the wine. I never thought that Czech merlot could be great lile this. They change menu seasonally, so check and make a reservation before going in.

We took two degustation menu for two people: standard and truffle one. It was great gastronomic experience, the course consists of 4 meals, which is more than enough. Each meal is unique (can’t say I enjoyed all of them, but the overall experience is amazing. Service is very friendly. I definitely recommend the place for your gastronomic explorations.

When we first entered the restaurant, I found myself to be a bit disappointed by the light atmosphere in the yard. The setting seemed comparatively dull, though that may be a highly subjective impression. However, the charming waiters soon made up for it and made sure we were comfortable at all times! The service is simply exceptional, even for a restaurant of this kind. Although I am not very knowledgeable about different wines, the wine menu seemed very interesting and the waiter provided helpful insight as to what wine to pair with what dish. But let's get to what matters most: the food and sadly there's not a lot to say about it, because I can't find the words. It was simply amazing: from the way each dish was displayed to the taste, everything was just perfect, so much so that I liked a creame sauce made out of sweet potato which I usually dislike. Don't worry about which dish to pick, I'm certain their all great in their own way. But this comes with a huge downside: The Grand Cru will lift your expectations for what a dining experience can be to a point where it will be hard to enjoy a "normal" restaurant afterwards. That being said I have nothing but yearning for the amazing tastes I got to experience here and wish the kitchen team well!

The only negative is a bit aggressive lights for the eyes in the main room. I hope to find space in this place again.

Had a nice dinner here. I had the tasting menu with the wine pairings. 5 courses and 5 wines. My favourite course was the soup, it was a salted potatoe foam with mushrooms. It had great texture and presentation. I enjoyed the fresh bread and when asked what type it was I was told "special" with no clarification. Special bread was good with the served compound butters, a tomato and fresh garlic offering. I don't think I'd go back if I was in the area again. The tasting menu made me believe I've had the experience and no dish was so good I'd have to go back.

The offer a small menu, where you can choose between a 2 different degustation menus or you can eat a la carte by choosing between 15 different dishes (starter, main, dessert). We went for the degustation menu with 5 courses for 1.590CZK with 2 wine parings for 490 CZK and one single dish. At first we got some homemade bread with tomato and Anchovis butter and then the degustation menus started. I have to mentioned, that the Foie gras, which was from a other earth and very delicious! All the other dishes were good as well. Only the dessert: the chocolate mouse was made in a good way, but it was a little bit boring and do not reflect the high standard of the restaurant. As the single dish we ordered the homemade Tagliolini, which were cooked in a very good way, but they missed to put in the sun dried tomatoes, which are mentioned at the menu. Instead they put carrots in the pasta and this may not happened at this high standard restaurant. We told this mistake the waiter, but unfortunately nothing happed. But all in all I would recommend the restaurant.

Great good, great wine parings, professional service I got the scallops for starters and deer with foie gras as my main. I also got the wine pairing for 2 courses. They offer really flexible wine pairing choices, you can go either by dishes or by glasses. The white wine they recommended for my scallops was fruity, slightly sweet, which complemented the citrusy flavor of my dish. The red for my main dish was nutty with berry flavors. Also went really well with the venison. After two courses, couldn’t help but got a pistachio cheese cake, which was the perfect ending of this very satisfying meal. It’s a must in Prague.

Erster Abend unseres Trips und das Grand Cru war ein Volltreffer. Wir haben alle das Degustationsmenü genommen, welches zwar nicht billig aber auf jeden Fall sein Geld wert war. Die Weinbegleitung endete nicht mit 1/16 sondern wurde genau richtig nachgeschenkt. Eine fantastische Auswahl an astreinen Speisenbegleitern, überraschend, hochqualitativ, animierend. Das Essen mehr als genuss- und abwechslungsreich - ein wahres Fest. Ich darf behaupten: besser habe ich noch nicht gegessen. Auch wenn es etwas feiner ist, hier macht es einfach Spaß Gast zu sein und man wird mehr als zuvorkommend behandelt. Viel Erfolg weiterhin - ganz großartige Leistung. Ich wünschte ich könnte öfters auf diesem Niveau essen!

Its 100% not authentic italian yet one of thr best trancio pizza ever! The ingredients combo are often an insult to italian tradition, yet the dough is so fluffy inside and crispy outside, the cheese and tomato sauce is perfectly balanced. Delightful place - we enjoyed one of the tasting menus, the food was delicious with exceptional wine pairings. The service and ambiance were first class and my partner and I look forward to returning.

A class act. The food, French in style with some local touches, was exquisite. (One dessert did not quite come together for my taste, but the rest was of such high quality that this made barely a dent on the overall experience.) There is a thoughtfully-chosen wine pairing option. Service was very pleasant and well-judged. The prices were very fair for the quality.

My husband and I visited this evening for a nice meal on our final evening in Prague. We've experienced some excellent service during our time here but the service received at Grand Cru was impeccable. From our greeting at the door, to every interaction with staff from taking our orders, bringing out our courses, everything was fantastic. A special mention goes to Dimitry who was so attentive and knowledgeable. He provided a very personal service and made our evening all the more enjoyable. When I chose a white wine, instead of a red, when I was ordering steak, he didn't quibble but instead, once I'd finished, asked me how it was as a pairing. A small thing yet made an impression. The food was exquisite, so tasty and we were so sad when our plates were empty. Even in between courses, the staff are checking in to make sure you have full glasses and even in between course appetisers. The atmosphere is very relaxed and lovely. Should we ever return to Prague we will absolutely be paying another visit to Grand Cru. 10/10 experience, highly recommend.

Wow, just wow. Amazing service in particular Johnny, absolutely sensational, great understanding of the food and wine, made me feel right at home while providing and air if class. The food was sensational an amazing balance between the flavours whilst maintaining each individual to shine. If I could come back I would.
