Plus some of the best beer and dessert we’ve ever had. 🍻 Dinner was so good, we went again the next day for lunch. When you enter the restaurant, you think you’re in a butcher’s shop because, well, you are. The first room is the butcher where you can choose from different cuts of meat to be cooked on-site. We instead kept walking to the second room which had a cafeteria-style line with lots to choose from. Everything was amazing, and relatively affordable too given the large beers and top-notch flavor. Check it out if you’re ever in Prague!

You can just also stand and it on the huge table that's in the middle of the restaurant which used to be a bank. The queues are long inside the restaurant when you want to order beers or food. What a cool concept. We really loved everything about this place. We visited twice, once to dine in, and once takeaway meats to cook at home, and we were incredibly impressed both times. Highly recommend the pork neck from the front counter, as well as the fine selection of slow cooked meats out back.

It was an incredible experience in Prag. The meat was top quality. Right when you enter, you see the butchery counter with all the different things you can eat / order / get prepared for yourself. We tried a lot of the stuff there, and it was all really good. You can also get some already prepared food, like the name implies, cantine-style. It also looked really good, but we stayed with the butchery. They prepare it all the way yu want it to be and serve some side-dishes and fresh-made sauces / dips (test the chimichurri, it´s worth it!). The staff was truly one of the nicest and sympathic in all over Prag, hands up for them. Even the place is interesting. It´s a former bank and they kept some of the inventory, especially the old banking counter, a massive marble table right in the middle of the room. Definitely worth a visit while staying in Prag. But beware, the prices are a little higher than in your average restaurant. But totally worth it!

I would likely rate it a 2 or 3/5 but as I know this restaurant isn’t catered to me, I think others would still enjoy it.

They are making the best meat dishes! Every single piece of meat we have eaten was delicious and amazingly cooked. Even the side dishes like potatoes and vegetables were very tasty. The biggest problem with this place is to find a table. You order your food and sit wherever you see available. As a group of 4 people, it was challenging to find a table to sit. We had to act fast and argue with people to secure a table for us.

Outstanding place for causal meeting with friends, is you hate view of raw meat you might struggle there. Besides this, food is amazing, service is fantastic and prices are reasonable! Interior is really kept in good condition and really spacious!

It's a self-service restaurant, most of the meat is already prepared and you can place an order at the counter in the indoor hall. You have to wait for the steaks as they are cooked to order. We tasted many of their specialties and were very satisfied. There is no possibility of reserving a table, all the spaces are shared and to eat you have to find your own place or even stand. The quality is very high but I suggest to avoid peak hours because we had to wait outside for 40 minutes since there were two of us, but for groups it is more difficult.

What an amazing consept... Self service with the best meats available in Prague. Share a table with strangers and get to know them. Best place to be if you love food and a good vibe. Well done

Amazing beef tartar, a big portion for a great price. The bread is fresh and you can take as much as you need. Pickled veggies are also very tasty but my favourite were those smooth boiled potatoes that melt in your mouth with the tartar sauce. You have to be aware tho that you need to order at the different stations for drinks and food. Some dishes will be brought to the table but it's more self service. Kantyna is definitely worth the hype.

A special experience!❤️❤️❤️ Unfortunately there was no T-bone steak, so I ordered tenderloin. It was absolutely delicious! Carpaccio was great, but you should definitely order steak! And the service of the staff was good, and they took care of me in many ways. Thank you!🥰

Very unique place in Prague that should be on your list when you visit. It is a meat eater paradise! When you enter you get a kind of scorecard where they will write down what you order (majority of the meat is already cooked or you can get some other cuts from the butchery) and you take it to wherever you can find a seat. Do your self a favor and DO NOT MISS on the Bone-marrow!

Very very delicious food for a very affordable price. The concept it’s also very interesting and you don’t have to wait long. I would if visiting Prague, here should be one of the places where you should eat.

Although the staff didn't really speak English, they tried everything to make sure I got what I wanted to eat and drink. The food was simply amazing, I went back a second time to try the things I hadn't had yet. Every type of meat you try is so tender. The food is very oily and greasy but the taste is amazing. The price did not disappoint either. The concept might be a bit vague for non-Czechs when you first enter but once you understand it works great. They'll fill out the card for you and you just pay before leaving. I would honestly go here again whenever I get the chance. The place itself is just very casual and low-key in a kind of trendy way. It wasn't busy when I went there but it was certainly not quiet. A lot of locals seemed to be eating here. Me and my boyfriend did spend a little more money but not because it was expensive, we just ate a lot. We went for a late lunch and were full all evening.

I loved this place. When you enter you get a paper card that you handle to the the staff every time you want food or drinks. Food can be bought by weight or per dish depending on what you order. I tried two different meats and both were fantastic. The place used to be an old bank so it’s definitely an experience to eat there. Strongly recommended!

You can eat many kind of meat dishes, and all of them are delicious, which you can’t find in Japan. Above all the sheer volume of the food like some kind of event. The popular atmosphere is one of the elements that makes it enjoyable. On the other hand, it was difficult for foreigners to understand systems and prices, and it was more expensive that I expected.

Popular place in Prague. Young crowd. Good vibe, good food, especially the pork. A bit noisy inside. Dogs are allowed, that was a bit of a surprise. All in all, worth visiting.

Amazing! Do not be intimidated as a tourist, what you will be met with is a butcher shop at the entrance. Walk past and there will be someone handing you a paper. I suggest to find a table first and then take the paper to place your orders either at the butcher out front, or the hot meals in the middle. Kantyna will always be full and popular with the locals. Ordered their beef carpaccio, nothing short of amazing! Fresh and flavorful! Also had some potato pancake (a tad salty for me) and of course their burger and a side of chimichurri which is chef’s kiss. Had everything with beer. Will go back! Highly recommend!

Incredible place! The best food we had in Prague. Great atmosphere and amazing service, meat to die for. Good overall was of amazing quality and great value for money. Would go there again (especially as there was a very hot waiter 😉)
