Some of the best Mexican food I've ever had! The drinks menu is expansive, with plenty of options for both lovers and haters of tequila. The food was perfect. The portions were large, the presentation of dishes was stylish and sleek. Staff were friendly and quite attentive. Staff offered suggestions. Would certainly recommend to any Mexican food lover!

This may be the best restaurant I have been to in Prague. The service and food were both amazing. Not only were the staff welcoming and accommodating but they also let me know in advance that because they were extra busy with a large group that food could take up to an hour to be made. This was great to know because if we were super hungry then I might have opted to try a different place. But I was happy to just enjoy the atmosphere and have some nachos. I don't think I can emphasize enough how good the food was. The meat was cooked to perfection and the seasoning was very well balanced. We had nachos, tacos, and a quesadilla. Plus a few drinks. I really enjoyed the bloody maria it was nice and spicy how I like it. Next time the only thing I would do differently would be to call in advance to make a reservation. (Even though they were able to get me in without one). Overall I really enjoyed this place and will absolutely go again and bring friends with me. I highly recommend going here.

Agave Restaurant is a very nice Mexican place a few minutes walk from the center of Old Town, Prague. Living in the US, and big fans of Mexican food, we definitely have some high standards - despite this, we were very impressed with the food we got here! Some of it might not necessarily have been that traditional, but it was a neat blend of Mexican and European, and it turned out excellent! We got the following: frozen mango margarita, piña colada, azetca guacamole, salad with beef taquitos, quesadilla pollo con mole verde, tacos de cerdo ibérico, tacos dorados de birria, and the atole for dessert. For a Mexican restaurant way out in Prague, thousands of miles away from Mexico, the food was really good! Very flavorful! The drinks were both great - super fresh and absolutely no complaints whatsoever. The azteca guacamole was amazing! It was a unique spin on classic guacamole and ended up being one of the best we’ve had. The salad with beef taquitos was amazing as well - one of the best salad dressings we’ve ever had, and the beef taquitos (while not crispy like normal) tasted excellent! The quesadilla pollo con mole verde was very good too - even though it wasn’t like traditional mole, it just tasted really good. You’ll definitely like it! And the same goes for the birria - definitely not like normal, but the flavor profiles were spot-on and definitely a dish you’ll be very happy getting. The tacos de cerdo ibérico were super good! No complaints!! The atole was an AMAZING end to the meal - the Mexican donuts were so, so good and something I wish I had more of. I am going to try to make these at home because they just don’t have anything like this in Mexican restaurants in Florida!! All in all, an excellent restaurant, and certainly worth stopping in if you’re craving Latin food in Prague. Definitely make a reservation (because it gets really busy) and enjoy!

Due to our short vacation in Prague, my girlfriend and I decided to go to this Mexican restaurant since we both like the food and the place has a good reputation. Sadly, we left disappointed. It started with our reservation. The waiter attended us to our table, which was in the same room as a big group of customers who were really loud, which is why I asked if it would be possible to get a table close to the entrance where no one was sitting. The waiter made an annoyed face, but he checked the bookings and said it was not possible. This was the first annoyance, because, during all our stay, the other tables stayed empty, so the waiter apparently just lied. Great food & good service! So far, Agave Restaurant is the most authentic Mexican restaurant in Prague. Fast service and clean restaurant! Also, Agave has a great ambience and décor. We did not have a reservation but we were given a table before the evening's rush hour. Therefore, I recommend making a reservation or come a couple hours before supper time. We ordered vegetarian nachos and Tacos de Avocado. The nachos were loaded with toppings and tasted so good that we had to order a second round of nachos (the portion was good for one person). The tacos were tasty and had a good amount of toppings although I would have liked the dish to include three tacos instead of two as they are small. Lastly, my main critique is the quantity of ice in the classic margarita (on the rocks). They went very heavy on the ice therefore, there was barely any actual drink in the glass. Upon a second drink, I requested less ice and the margarita was much better. I look forward to having another great meal at Agave Restaurant :)

I highly recommend this restaurant both for the food and the great staff! The girl that served us was very helpful and nice. Large restaurant with plenty of seating. Food was good, nothing super flavorful. Birra tacos were good, you get 3 instead of 2 like all the other tacos. Hamburger tacos had a thin beef patty layer. Carne asada tacos were not as spicy as my husband thought they’d be with the waiter mentioning it.

We had a wonderful meal at agave! My husband was confused why I chose a Mexican restaurant to eat at in Prague, but soon understood. The drinks, while good, were not stellar. The service is excellent. The staff takes great care to explain ingredients of each dish. The food is ok-ish compared to Mexican food you get in US. Garden seating lacks ambience and not polished at all. Don’t order guacamole with chips! No onion in guacamole and neither were the chips salted or fully baked. I would highly recommend trying out their home made habanero sauce. The prices were on the higher side compared to restaurants in this area.

At first everything was ok, the waiter was friendly, proactive and frequently asked if we are ok. When it was time to take our mains we asked upfront if it was possible to have the dishes come by two instead of all at once. (We ordered shared dining but did not want all dishes for five people at once and prefer to spread them over the evening combined with some cocktails). The waiter said that this was not a problem and happily toke our order. And there is where it began; all our dishes came at once. No apologies, no nothing, only a small and bit angry reply that ‘it was not possible’ and he walked away. This was the same waiter that toke hour order not more then half an hour ago.
