My experience in the first 30 minutes was very good. My meal was tasty (mixed meat, beef, pork and chicken). I was sick so I could not taste the beer but the tea was amazing. That was until the train with the beer crashed on the turn just before our table and the whole beer splashed over my girlfriend. We had to immediately leave the restaurant and go home. No one from the restaurant apologized. They even suspected that we did something wrong. I think it was taking the turn too fast with too much beer on it. Anyway, that was very unpleasant. The place was also very hot and hard to breath.

For me, the best place to eat in Prague. Not only drinks, but also foods arrive at your table on trains. On some tables, trains return to even take empty plates! On top of that - the food is delicious, same goes for drink. The staff is very kind and polite. I definitely recommend this place.

We really enjoyed our visit here. The food was very tasty. And we loved the unusual idea of being served our food and drinks by a little train. We had the toasts to start, and the cheese burger and the beef in tomato stew dishes for mains. Both dishes were great, but we particularly liked the dumplings that came with the beef stew. The beef stew was on the daily specials menu, not on the regular menu. The topping that came with the mini toasts was also delicious. The only thing that let it down was the service, which was a bit slow and we had to prompt the waitress for everything (e.g. to place our order, to ask for cutlery, to ask for a drink). I would definitely recommend booking this place in advance as it can get busy.

We were really excited to come here to have the trains deliver our food and drinks. The concept is really cool and it was really neat to experience. But unfortunately, the food didn’t deliver at all. I got a goat cheese burger and fries. It was good, nothing amazing compared to other burgers I’ve had in Europe. My husband got the steak special with fries and coleslaw. He said the coleslaw was the best of his meal. The steak was so bland with no seasoning, which has been the case in majority of Europe as well. The drinks were spectacular though. The fresh raspberry lemonade was delicious with pieces of raspberries in the bottom and my husband got a snake bite and he said that was really good. And they also serve Pepsi instead of coke! Personally, I’d recommend coming here just for drinks only before eating elsewhere. They offer a wide range of beers and ciders. They take cash and card. We didn’t have a reservation, but probably smart to make one in case they’re busy.

interesting place. there are always a lot of people. It's better to book a table in advance. If you haven't booked a table, you may have to stand in line for about 15-20 minutes to be seated. The food is average, the beer is tasty. but you have to come here not for the food, but for the atmosphere and how the food was served by the owners of the establishment. Children really enjoy watching the locomotives bring food and drinks. Five stars for this. you can close your eyes to everything else

Great concept. Perfect for family. Been there with two little kids they had a great time and kept talking about trains all the day. The only bummer is food... They could at least make it at Prague average level, which is pretty high for Europe. But no, it seems that priority is show not food. It could bother me less if it wasn't restaurant. Me personally came there for food and was disappointed. Kids were more than satisfied though.

We had to wait a bit longer for our food, but the entire restaurant was packed with people. However, finding a table wasn't a problem as the waitress guided us to one promptly. We even received a "train ticket" as a cute gesture, which added to the charm of the place. The food was delicious, and the service was exceptionally friendly. The concept of using miniature trains to deliver the dishes was truly remarkable. It added a unique touch to the dining experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Furthermore, the prices were also reasonable, which made the experience even better. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a delightful meal with a friendly atmosphere and a touch of whimsy. We may have waited a bit, but the overall experience, delicious food, friendly service, and the innovative idea of food delivery by trains made it well worth it. Don't miss out on this gem!

This resturant is awesome, especially with kids. The only issue we had was with the online reservation system. Our reservation wasn't accepted and the notification email went to my junk mail, so we didn't know. Fortunately, they were able to fit us in on a Saturday night and we had a great time!

This restaurant is a super fun concept with a super lively and unique atmosphere. The menu was larger than I expected it to be which was a pleasant surprise! The service was fine, but nothing outstanding. You're given your table number and pointed in the direction of your table to seat yourself. The server takes your order, then of course the trains bring it. There aren't a whole lot of instructions given. We weren't sure if we put our dirty cups and dishes on the trains coming by or if someone would pick them up. The food was delivered in a timely manner and it was all very tasty! For two people with drinks, an appetizer and entrees we spent about 1200czk which I felt was reasonable, especially since you're also paying for the experience.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing. It's clean and modern and the little trains that bring the food are just wonderful. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a nice dinner with a beer and watch the locomotives bring drinks, food and empty plates and glasses. The service and staff were attentive to everything, it was a very good evening.

So, it shouldn’t really be five stars, but let me start with the critique and then explain why at the end the jury went for 5 stars:) Food: to say it was decent plus is just about right. Served elegantly, ingredients fresh, tasty. But main courses are not served immediately, probably when the place gets super crowded as it did on a Friday evening. This obviously means it arrives lukewarm and not looking freshly served. Other than that - we really loved: - the vibe, the noise, the cheerfulness of the crowd, - amazing concept with the trains, food delivered on tracks - wow! The concept is one thing, but the execution, with so many finely tuned details - a masterpiece that left us in awe, - the menu is reasonably simple and thus the food has the potential to combine both the bar-style with exquisite taste. If only it was served faster from the pan (main courses) and perhaps seasoned more spicy, too.

Great find, busy midweek lunchtime. Very few seats available ( understandable). It's a unique venue with a large sprawling model railway delivering orders of food and drink ( also taking away the empties). We spent a pleasant couple of hours taking it all in and watching the world go by down on Wenceslas Square. Certainly would return.

This was amazing, the trains, the staff, the food. Absolutely perfect - our server was absolutely fantastic and food was great. Dessert was delicious too! We sat for a good while just watching the trains. So easy to loose track of time. We didn’t wait long for a seat but even if we did it would have been worth it - definitely must visit

The experience with all the trains is great but the food is just okay. Note that if you want a train arriving at your table you need to order a drink/some dessert since almost every thing is arriving by a waiter (make sense)

This unique restaurant is so famous (well-deserved) all over the world that I could not rate it for less than 5 stars. Well, this insanely gorgeous rail network for charming train models that deliver great drinks and snacks to visitors right next to their tables is absolutely charming! Despite the crowded, this place is cozy and charming. One drawback that I would note is their high prices. Yes, maybe I am wrong but now I think the prices are very high. Although I understand that this place is completely unique and it is located on the world famous and brilliant square, so beloved by me Wenceslas Square.

Great concept. Family loved the trains. Staff don't care - we stood waiting for 20 minutes at reception and only when the line was down the stairs did someone come over despite the four bar / train loading staff looking at us. Appetizer- goat cheese with jam and cabbage was delicious. Burgers were raw in the middle. Only come here for a drink and to see the trains. Eat somewhere else.

Extremely bad service, even worse food. The trains are exciting until the food and service ruin the experience. Our waiter ignored us all evening so took forever to get anything. Dropped my fork on the floor on accident and asked him for another one to which he said no and didn’t get me one. I had to go ask someone else. We both ordered steak and it was vile. Biggest tourist trap in Prague.. and such a let down as everywhere else we went was amazing so this place really disappointed. Oh, and it was double the price of any other meal we had. As we were leaving we heard a train topple off the tracks sending food and drink flying everywhere.

Trains are awesome and all but rude waiters are ruining the whole experience. I ordered the "beer train" to try 4 types of beer, it was suppose to be 0,2l of each. What I've got can be seen on the attached picture. It's just pure fraud, each of this glasses is half empty, especially the dark beer one looks like it could be no more than 50ml. When I told the waiter about it he said only "yeah, that's okay" and quickly walked away. No, that's not "okay".

My compliment for this great concept. Very funny to see al the little trains going everywhere. Prices are a bit higher than the local average but that's okay because of this concept, you really get the fun out of it. The food is very good.

One of the, I'd call it, hidden gems of Prague. Because it really isn't something you'd go for if you just pass by and see the poster of. The place is amazing and very well engineered. You place the order to a person but get your dish from a small train that stops at your table and you must manually unload. Awesome experience! Something I'd recommend to anyone. For lunch time it also had a lot of places to sit. Prices are responsible and there's even beer tasting.

Even if it wasn’t the best food in my life, It was still nicely served and of great quality. The waiting time wasn’t too long and I just enjoyed the fun brought by trains moving back and forth in front of me. The place is dog and human friendly :) I enjoyed the visit a lot! There are some stairs to take, which could be troublesome for wheelchairs or trolleys. Also, please note the train that stops with your food leaves in a few seconds so make sure you take your plates off instead of taking pictures :)) prices are quite high but given the quality of the food and the entire experience- it’s worth a penny. I would recommend placing a reservation.

I am not a big fan of beer, but I went for the experience. I ordered the tasting of 4 beers and didn't enjoy them much. The experience is interesting, with trains delivering and picking up orders, but the price is high. I recommend making a reservation because the waiting line was too big

The coolest food experience we’ve tried so far! Super fun, quirky and playful food place. We loved it Service/ atmosphere: Long tables with a literal railway station design. The lovely and friendly staff take your order then your food and drink gets delivered to you by a Train 🚂!! So Awesome Food: Delicious, fresh, mostly meat dishes (steak/ burgers/ pork/ beef) good wine and beer. Super fast service too Recommend: Booking, it did get quite busy after we got our table around 19:30 so booking will guarantee you a place

It's a great concept, ideal to go there with kids as they get amazed by the trains that carry drinks and food and stop in front of the requested table. Even though it's full of tourists, prices are honest and the waiters are friendly. The location is optimal as it's very easy to reach it. Bear in mind, you have to take the stairs (I don't think there is an elevator).

A cool concept. The food is tasty, although it's a little pricey. The waitress recommended getting the rump steak and I have to agree, it was quite nice. As far as drinks go, they're alright. Overall, would recommend for an interesting dining experience.

  • 3/5 Alicja P. 3 years ago on Google
The food was quite good. I had salad with goat cheese and pear, my boyfriend had beef check rolls. Trains were amazing and thanks to them we didn't have to talk to rude and incompetent staff. Waitress who took our order didn't know which ciders they have in menu. When we asked which beers are in degustation she answered "yes" and walked away. Our order was delivered fast. When we paid by card we were informed by a rude waiter that tips should be given in cash. Funny, because during our trip to Prague we gave tips for good service and not just for any or bad service, so we just walked away like the waitress.

Quite unique place where the drinks come to the table by a train system. It is very popular so I would recommend you to book a table in advance to make sure you get in. They also allow you to wait for a table but it can be up to two hours wait. They serve quite high quality meat but what a pity that the steak I ate was served well done even though I ordered it medium rare. The drinks come to the table fast and the service is friendly. The restaurant is upstairs and I didn't notice an elevator so this place is probably not a good idea if you are handicapped. Prices are higher than the local average but it is still worth a visit.

The idea with trains is awesome. My kids love this place. We did a reservation in advance for 1:30 p.m. We had to wait 45 mins till the food was served. The portions were very small and food tasted below average. For me a check and no need to come back unfortunately.

Are you a big kid at heart? Do you like great food? Would you like your drinks delivered via a model train? If you answered yes to at least one of the questions this is the place for you. On a more serious note this place is excellent. The food and the service improve of the novelty factor of drinks arriving at your table via a model train. Seriously the speed of the food delivery is quicker than anywhere I can remember excluding fast food joints and it's quality nearly matches the speed. The prices are a little higher than average for Prague (59 for a 400ml draft beer) but considering the location and the quality/speed of the service it's worth paying the extra. Highly recommended

This place requires a visit due to the unusual way of serving dishes. Everything was delivered by mini train:) The beer was good- especially dark one. I give one star less because of our waiter.

(Translated by Google) Surprisingly, a place was found for 7 people without prior reservation. The trains instead of the staff are a pleasant diversion, especially when wearing veils .. Funny place:) The train bring your beer. The hamburger was really good. The beer also. I liked it.

A terrible experience for My family. The star is only for the trains bringing you the beverages and food. Rude staff, they don’t understand or pretend they don’t understand English, so we had a bad time in the beginning, no big deal. The trains were having some problems so one of the waiters served us the food; understandable but when we asked if they could send the train again for the delight of our 2.5 y/o boy the waiter said “that he needed to talk to the manager”. What? OK. I asked the manager and she sent the train twice with no problem. My son wanted to take a closer look and my husband was behind him as he was following the trains coming and going. There’s a place where the trains stop so the waiters put the food on them and my son stopped there as well and in that very moment the manager came and pulled out my son of her way in the most rude way, despite my husband was behind him!!!! She touched my son so I stood up and went in front of her to tell her that what she did was totally wrong, that she should never touch any kid, specially if the parents are on sight she should talk to them first. I talked to the man on the bar and I asked for the manager and to my surprise they told me that SHE was the manager. OMG! Anyway I told her that my son was not doing anything bad, that he was just watching not even touching (which for a 2.5 y/o boy would be understandable but this was not the case). She told me that she just touched my son softly with her hands but I saw her and it was not like that, then she said “OK, I’m sorry I swear I was soft” as she touched my hand to “show me” but to her bad luck I saw her. She made the whole experience very bad. The food was OK and we loved the trains but nobody ever touched my son that way, I felt very bad. the rude staff should always thank the trains because they are the only good thing there.

Interesting concept of trains bringing drinks and food. Waiters only brought the menu. Food tasted good, but unfortunately almost no vegetarian options.

A beautiful and unique experience in Prague.. very reasonable prices and high quality materials sent by trains right to your table!

Genuine railway restaurant, where small trains deputize the waiters. In popular hours it's recommended to book a table in advance, otherwise you may have queuing up. If you have a Vytopna Clubcard, you can get 10% discount from list prices. At vytopna.cz you can buy special vouchers. Unfortunately the restaurant in Brüno was closed ~two years ago, but in Wien there is a new one for kids and railway devoted. A surrounding in Prague a little bit like an assembly line, in Bruno it was more familiar. If you are enthusiastic about railway, you should try it out, but if you haven't a passion for trains, may be become to like little trains. There is a QR code on the tables, it's possible to place an order by means of your phone.

Wonderful for kids! Trains riding through the whole restaurant. Food is good (nice burgers!) and friendly staff. When went out of the restaurant, my kids asked when we would go again 😀

Good food but the best thing I’ve evere had in restaurant is getting food by mini train. Love it!

Very rude staff. We talk to the girl from entrance to give us a 2 people table. She gave us a table somewhere în the corner where wasn't place to sit even for 2 Kids, not to mention 2 people, although there where plenty of tables Free. We asked another table where is more space to stay and she said is not possible. The place was less than half full. We walked away to another restaurant. So, avoid this one if you do not want your dinner ruined. This restaurant it isn't what is used to be.

Food was good. Dessert especially. Trains are cute but engines were a lot different as far as I can remember. Today they pretty much look alike. I was missing something compared to last time I was here. I cannot specify what it is but something has changed in a wrong direction.

The idea of trains is amazing! This was the first place that we visited in Prague, we really wanted to see this. And we wasn't disappointed in this part. But the food.. Yeah, not very well. Burgers were very dry, had almost nothing but meat and cheese, although cheese was completely unmelted. Onion soup was quite okay, but very very greasy, bread in it also dry. Prices are high, which we get, people pay for the amusement, but food could be just a little better. In spite of these factors, we don't regret that we visited this place, for sure we had fun and we were full leaving this place :)

Fun place for adults and kids. Food is tasty and it is great that a train delivers the food and drinks. Given the nature of the place, it attracts lots of parents with kids and tourists. Unfortunately the staff does not speak very good English and the people at the bar were impatient with our 3 yo son. Probably they need more staff to lessen the burden (they all seemed stressed out) and be friendlier.

Wanted a nice late evening dinner, so we came here, I've personally been here twice before, but my girlfriend hadn't, she liked it a lot, for some the trains may be a gimmick but for the first-comers it's something new to kind of experience. The food was tasty and arrived quickly, delivered by none other than one of the many trains going around, and so did our drinks, overall a great visit.

Fun place to eat and have model trains deliver your food and drink. Food was very tasty. Prices were reasonable considering the busy touristy location. Excellent drinks, both alcoholic and non alcoholic. Sadly the trains weren't always reliable and our empty plates were taken away by the waiter which was efficient but was hardly the point of the visit and what makes this place a bit different.

Amazing restaurant. They have one of the best baked potato. Beers are delicious. They have these mini trains that delivers the drinks and foods on your table. Such a wonderful show and tasty foods. Would recommend it to my friends. Plus staffs are so friendly and helpful. They are always smiling 😃

Highly recommend booking in advance as the queues can very large. Excellent food and drinks. All food and drinks are delivered to the table on model trains. Wonderful unique experience.

A great concept for a restaurant and overall very well executed. The service was friendly and fast and watching the trains go round was delightful. The food was good although it's a shame the menu is limited to steaks and burgers - would be nice to see more variety and maybe some local cuisine too. It would also be useful if the boxes the food came in were labelled so you don't have to figure out what each one is yourself. The restaurant area was well decorated with a railway theme, but its a shame the staff uniforms didn't match the theme, and that the bathrooms didn't either. Overall, some room for improvement but still definitely worth a visit if you're in Prague.

Interesting concept to use trains to deliver drinks and food orders around the restaurant. The kitchen and bar areas looks just like a busy trains station. Lovely to watch the trains running around the restaurant delivering orders, brings the child inside us. Food and drinks were delivered quick. In fact our main course came when we were still eating our first course hence the 4 stars.

Five out of five for the trains. Just 2 out of five for the service. Maybe we went on a bad night - but the staff seemed frustrated and not friendly. Some tables have trains running into the middle of them. It’s a clever system, the trains deliver food and beers to your table. So make sure you ask for this when you book your table. A reservation in advance is highly recommended. We booked about 2 weeks in advance. The food was good - just not amazing. The beer was expensive but brewed on site.

The whole experience was amazing so was the food BUT the waitress ruined that experience for us. We went there twice and twice got seated in the same spot so we had the same wait here’s twice. First time everything was perfect so we decided to come back next day. We ordered two different steaks but when they arrived we couldn’t say who’s is what. While ordering waitress made us order extra side because she said there is nothing else and we thought the side comes with steaks. When we were about to pay we asked for tip and we refused explaining we did it day before and the tip was normal. After no tip her face changed, she got rude and just wanted to leave us as fast as she could. Anyway nice place to try with kids and adults !

Unique and enjoyable lunch experience. The restaurant's train-themed 🚂 atmosphere, complete with miniature trains delivering drinks and food to the tables. You might think your dish is coming when you are waiting, but the train takes another way at the last time, which makes the waiting time funny. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. I ordered the steak 🥩 , and it was amazing and tasty. The sweet purple onion 🧅 added extra tastiness. Also, the staff is friendly and attentive. The place was crowded, maybe because of the holiday. However, it is always a good idea to book a table before.

A very surprising experience in Prague. As soon as we walked in, we were surprised by the whole train experience. We went to our table and sat down to pick our beverages and food from a quite significant menu. The waitress was very kind and guided us pretty well in selecting our food. The drinks arrived in no time in the first train which caught us by surprise, making it a fun experience. The trains not only bring your drinks and food, but also come back to pick your dishes up. You end up taking a small role in the whole experience as much as you spend your time watching the whole system work. The food was tasty (I had a medium term tenderloin which was great), the beers were good (it's a good idea to try the beer train, I liked 3 out of the 4 beers it brings you) and you can top it off with a coffee or a dessert. Worth going!

Nice concept for food delivery (on small moving trains). The food was very good, we got 3 different burgher with fries and french fries). We didn't like the beers, they were too bitter and had too much CO2. Asked for alcohol free beer but got it with alcohol instead, not cool. Waiter was a little insistent on the tip even though the trains did most of the work. Overall very recommend for the experience!

Very interesting and unique place. Most dishes and drinks was delivered by little trains :) Our kids were pleased. Our burgers were also tasty. One little minus for a beer train - its 4x 200ml but we received 4x 200ml glasses filled maybe only in a half

A lovely place. We had a great lunch there and the trains were very impressive and amusing for the kids. For arrived rather quickly and was mostly good but not great… Worth the visit if you traveling to Prague with the kids or if you love trains (who doesn’t?!). We didn’t order a table in advance so had to wait for 10 minutes to get one. Enjoy!

When you enter the place on first sight you don’t expect much of it but then the railways and little trains do impress you. I wouldn’t say it’s little kid friendly since kids might try and stop the trains and cause complications. The waiter comes to you by theirselves. It does take a bit for the food to arrive but it’s so delicious and worth the money and wait. I recommend the burgers. It’s a fun little experience

  • 5/5 Simon P. 7 months ago on Google
First of all, the concept of the restaurant already rules...model trains that bring you food and drinks and bring the empty glasses and service away...what's not to like? Couple it with great beer and a great choice of food (we had the dry aged sirloin) it's a whole experience that can only be recommended! Reservation is advised, we didn't reserve a table as we were "only" 3 and it was a wednesday evening, and we had to wait a short while for a table (maybe 10 mins) in the queue...but on busier evenings it might be more of a problem

The place is amazing! The atmosphere and the whole experience were as fun as you can imagine. Food was delicious and drinks as well. 3 of us had steak which was great and one of us had cheeseburger. The meet was really outstanding. The way the food is delivered on the trains is so fun and exciting as well.

You have to visit the railway restaurant! It’s a super fun way to dine and it feels super nostalgic. Is there a better way for your food and drinks to arrive at your table? The food is delicious too! I highly recommend that you try the raspberry lemonade. We booked a table in advance which I would recommend doing too as it’s always busy.

Very fun concept. Both food and drinks come on little trains, which stop in front of your seat. The trains are usually correct (correct order), but we saw some trains make some mistakes (stopping at the wrong place). It is better to make a reservation. We didn't make one, and had to wait for 25 min to be seated. The staff was very nice and helpful. The food was very nice and tasty. We ordered the burger with marinated beef, and it came very well served. It's a bit pricey, but it is fair given the elaborate serving. Overall, it is worth the experience.

  • 5/5 Matteo S. 6 months ago on Google
Simply incredible!! Whoever invented this restaurant is a genius! Not only trains that brings food (excellent marinated meat!), but also all around the train there are little houses that re-create the city. I was astonished also by the fact that the little trains are controlled authomatically by a software. The price is also very fair in my opinion. For the food you can the photo here

I’ve had duck a few times where I live in the United States, and it has always been so much rubbery. Being in an area that I saw signs stating it’s duck season I thought let’s give it a try here. I ordered the roast stock with potato dumplings served on a bit of sauerkraut.with gravy on the side. I’ve never had duck so tasty so deliciously prepared. Bravo! Service was fantastic and quick and during a busy time of the day I did not feel rushed to move out so they could seat another patron. Bravo.

Loved it!! What a fantastic, quirky, playful place. For old and young alike. Tricky to find, in the entrance of the shopping mall. Go up a couple of flights of stairs. Huge long table, almost yo sushi style serving. Quite sociable atmosphere. The serving staff, take your orders of food and drink and the trains deliver straight to EXACTLY where you are sitting. It worked like clock work. We only had drinks. However, the aged beef and steaks looks gorgeous!! A must visit ♥️

Fabulous fun, memorable and unique. As enjoyable for adults as for kids. Bonus - the trains delivering your food to the table don't suffer any cancellations or delays ;-) The staff and service at the table works well too. All in, good value for the fun and quality of the food. And all part of a very memorable day.
