Bruxx

Restaurant Belgian restaurant

👍👍 The restaurant is a 4,5 deserved rate, I landed 5 stars because of the atmosphere and delicious food. A must try are the mussels accompanied by a Belgian beer or a glass of white wine. Desserts are delicious, the duck I ordered not the best, probably cooked at high temperature so raw inside but hard... People often mention great, beer, mussels, restaurant, service, Belgian, good, delicious, Bruxx, Great,

Amazing beer is here! I love cheery beer Kasteel Rouge and Grimbergen Double. But they are quite sweet, therefore for me super tasty. We also had Tuna steak and Rump steak! Food was great as well, deserts can be seen on the photos, but beer is exceptional!

Unfortunately, it was a bad experience. We've decided to go there to celebrate my birthday. I love shrimps and I wanted to try shrimps in Bruxx. I was not able to finish this dish, because it's were very bitter. There were 3 shrimps (see the photo) and I thought maybe only one - the first one is bitter, but unfortunately no, the second one and the third one also were bitter. About mussels. That's interesting, but this is not our type of food probably. They are served in a large saucepan and we ate literally five pieces and that's it. The waiter was very surprised that we didn't finish the whole pot. So, I wanted to give 4 or 5 starts, because the atmosphere is quite good, nice staff. But these expensive bitter shrimps ruined everything. The second photo there are frogs legs.

It was a great experience to visit this restaurant! Good friend of mine celebrated his birthday there and service was on top. It was pretty crowded, so waiters mixed up our order, but once they noticed that, they quickly apologized and made sure we are ok. In my opinion it is one of the best services provided here in Prague with reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

That was one of the first places visited many years ago when came to Czech Republic. Decoration is still same. It was a bit Crowded just had the beer. Had mussels there where as good as can be in a no sea place! The Cherry beer is my favorite.

Bruxx offers high-quality Belgian fare, the mussels are particularly recommended. With Bruxx’s incredible turnover, I cannot think of a place where the mussels could be fresher other than getting them right at the sea. As good as the regular menu options are; however, the truly excellent and sadly very little praised culinary experience is the periodic specials that chef Olda and his team of artists produce. I do not use the term Artist lightly or in a cliched way because I believe Art is what you will experience if you are fortunate enough to visit Bruxx during one of their Specials weeks. They are always pushing with great passion the boundaries of culinary art. And by Art, I mean the art of flavor. We have dined there nearly two dozen times and now almost exclusively eat only during their Specials Week. Not every single dish will be life-changing, but if you are like us and order all the specials you will immediately recognize that a great deal of time, thought, and attention along with a fearless sense of experimentation was invested into each dish. There will invariably be standout dishes that will provoke conversation, and they will linger in your mind for days and cause longing for some time afterward. The dishes typically focus on combining the highest quality ingredients in exciting and unexpected ways. There is also a great appreciation for textures and how they work in concert with the flavors to elevate the dish. To produce such creations Olda and his team prepare each dish with a great deal of technical skill but never in a way that would ever overshadow the main stars -- taste and texture. Therefore the best dishes we have experienced have never felt pretentious and can certainly compete alongside the best meals prepared at the top Michelin restaurants in the city. For a Belgian-themed Brasserie in Prague to offer such dishes at a very accessible price point is astounding. Olda and his team deserve a great deal of praise for the delicious and thought-provoking dishes they offer their guests. For better or worse, restaurants are not only judged by their food but also by the level of service they provide their guests. Fortunately, Bruxx excels in this regard, as well. The wait staff and the managers operate with exceptional professionalism. And this is not according to the standards of the Czech Republic which are sadly quite low when it comes to customer service. No, the staff at Bruxx excels even by the standard of premier international culinary destinations. So, with an open mind and desire to try these wonderful plates of Art, treat yourself and your loved ones to a wonderful experience visiting Bruxx during one of their Special weeks. You will not regret it. A+E

It is always a popular spot. Great ambience. You can sit inside or outside on the terrace. Unfortunately the food was not great. It really was not. We were a party of 6 and none of the dishes were great. Also pricey, so would not return.

The place was almost packed, so I really recommend booking before coming here. But, it's worth it if you're into seafood, the place really offers fantastic food for you. It's a tad bit expensive, as you'd expect from such an establishment, but not too expensive for seafood items. They also have a good selection of beer on the menu, but whether they veritably have the beer available is another thing, sadly. The service is fast, polite and accomodating, and the atmosphere is without a fault.

Lovely restaurant serving great Belgian beers and food including fresh seafood and mussels. We love the Belgian cuisine and this restaurant is certainly a good place to eat it. The decor of the restaurant is very beautiful with wooden paneling and chandeliers on high ceilings. The staff is friendly and welcoming so it's overall a great experience. It can get very loud though, especially in popular times, so be prepared to shout at each other.

One of the best food experiences in Prague. First of all I would like to thank our waitress who provided the best service for us. Unfortunately I don’t remember her name, but she spoke German with me :) The staff there speaks a lot of languages in general, English, Russian, German and so on. The food was delicious, we really liked the snails. I’ve tried some oysters for the first time in my life, I didn’t really like them but that’s just me. My wife enjoyed the oysters. The beer was great, you can’t go wrong with the Belgian beer. I totally recommend this place!

Underwhelming mussels. Fish and chips is good and the french fries in general. Great selection of Belgian beers. Kids corner is a nice convenience and earned the 4th star.

Food was great and the service was good. Location is great. It's a very popular restaurant and the only cons is that it's very crowded and noisy.

Stays the best Belgian restaurant in Prague - great variety of mussels, and other belgian specialties, accompanied with wide choice of Belgian beer and delicious desserts 🤩

Bruxx is reliable belgian seafood restaurant since 2014.. well.. not only seafood :-) on the "Mírák" square. Generously designed space reminds some old-time brasserie. Having large playroom it is very popular even by young families. Bruxx is mainly renowned for their steamed mussels of different styles. But anything else from the meal menu is well worthy! They do have several good belgian beer samples on tap. I'm usually not having sweet-tooth.. but their desserts and pralines are such tempting and delicious!

I always love to come to Bruxx. I like the environment, the service and choice of beer. Food is not the greatest point, for instance our fish and chips fries could be done better- however everything else is top notch.

Lovely restaurant if you’re attending any event at the National Theatre, which I was. Great food, carefully crafted, seasoned, and presented. My grilled duck was succulent and lush. Couldn’t get anything better prior to a few hours of musical delight!

This is not my first time at this restaurant. The food has always been delicious, just as it was this time. The lobster was prepared perfectly. As for the restaurant itself, it's usually quite crowded, so making a reservation is highly recommended. The staff is very nice, though perhaps a bit too inquisitive.

Might be busy on Friday evenings and we waited a bit more for reserved table. Visited with small kid, kids corner is generous and very wellcome! Had amazing frog legs and onion soup for starter. Tuna steak and mushroom lasagna and rumpsteak for main. Both were delicious and well combined. Great selection of belgian beer and sparkling wine. Service was good and attentive, but one star is deducted for chaotic environment. During weekend it might be just fine!

We had an amazing experience here last night. The service from the moment we walked in was faultless. The chap serving us seemed to pre-empt our every requirement, and our glasses were kept nicely topped up all night! The food was incredible, we had 3 different types of mussels, all delicious and so fresh. Kids loved the soft play (which is nicely hidden out the way!) which kept them entertained before and after the meal. Great for all ages and all are sure to have a great time! My wife now wants to open a Belgian beer bar/restaurant with soft play attached - genius…!

We went there to eat mussels. The food was great and even if we waited a bit we got discount in the end for the waiting therefore 5 starts for service. This is not common in CZ. Adding photo of the dessert 🍮 BTW there is quite big kids playing area which is separate from dining

It was very nice. We ordered a burger and everything was fresh, the bread is kind of crunchy and the Beef is medium, so perfect. Thanks to Jakob, I asked for a honeymoon special, he recommended a special beer and served it with a funny joke.

Nice restaurant with amazing food & beer. The price is quite high considering the place is luxurious. The oyster is super tasty. Recommended!

Food - GREAT! I love seafood, so it was a no-brainer, both meals I tried were just fantastic. Deserts were little underwhelming, but generally very tasty as well. What was a big no-no for me was the environment. Realizing this is not a fault of the restaurant, but rather the guests, I must take few stars off from the environment rating, as there were simply too many kids that were too noisy, spoiled and generally disturbing, and the parents did little to help them calm down. This should nevertheless not spoil your food experience, which was very nice. I guess if you make a reservation beforehand, ask to be seated as far as possible from kids corner😁❤️

For a busy restaurant they’re pretty quick and well organized, the staff are great! friendly and helpful there’s also a dj. Variety of seafood on the menu, some options for oysters, the Pasta and Bree is delightful too, loved it all!

Would definitely recommend : mussels, Tartar and crème brûlée!!! Platter for two was not the best choice personally for me but was cooked well if you just like plain fish but to me tasted a bit blend comparing to other dishes!

Great mussels and fries. Big choice of (not only) Belgian beers. Awesome playroom for kids. You can even buy pralines to go and they put it in a nice box.

From my very first visit 10years ago (or so) after they just opened and I was living just round the corner, till today, it's been an amazing quality and service, which they were able to keep! Always love returning to Bruxx!

Delicious and great service. Had the mussels and octopus tentacle. The tentacle was great, though the gnocchi that accompanied it was just ok. The mussels though, are fantastic. Definitely get yourself some mussels here. Plus their cocktail was also tasty.

I had pistachio crème brûlé, it was amazing! Also the service was great. The waitress was kind and she was even smiling, this is something I couldn't find in other czech restaurants. Will definitely go there again! ✌

We often come here for dinner. Rating 5 stars for the great atmosphere (I love the wooden panels and high ceilings!), for serving delicious food till late hours (not very common for Prague!!), for great beer selection and of course Mussels. Also most of the staff is very friendly, which is very important. On the photo is one of the special dishes, amazing tuna with chestnut sauce, it was insane 🤤 Also, great cakes selection, which makes this place great for a birthday celebration! (Which happens very often and they even put some special music when they bring the cake! Love the approach)

Mussels and snails are good. A grilled set for two is basically tasteless (or with a flavour of coal), so I wouldn't recommend it at all. Service itself is good, stuff wanted to brighten up the set with some complement.

Grew my stomach just so I could eat three meals by myself at Bruxxx… I ordered the mussels as starters with fresh baguette rather than chips. Both were amazing. The sauce was flavoursome to be mopped up with the bread and black mussels were fresh and sweet. Mains was octopus with buratta. This was the best octopus I’ve had! The buratta felt a little random at first then I realised they had some extra crispy bacon bits on top as added salt and crunch which just paired beautifully with the octopus. Definitely a must try. Dessert was good. The pistachio creme brûlée was creamy and paired well with coconut ice cream. I enjoyed it although I wasn’t a fan of the coconut flakes.
