Restaurant Czech restaurant

👍👍 Only local wines & beers. I live in Paris, France but lived in Czech Rep for a while and can guarantee the real, local, authentic taste. I was surprise to find such a good restaurant so close to the main railway station. The food is absolutely amazing, full of taste, authentic, homemade. Wonderful. People often mention good, restaurant, beer, Czech, taste, Prague, friendly, service, local, prices,

I had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant in Prague! The prices were great, offering excellent value for traditional Czech food. Its convenient location next to the main train station, just a 7-minute walk away, made it easily accessible. The atmosphere was delightful, with a charming rustic ambiance created by the abundant use of wood. The warm and cozy setting enhanced my dining pleasure. The menu showcased a range of mouthwatering Czech dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors. From hearty goulash to tender roast pork, the food exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service throughout my visit. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone seeking an authentic Czech dining experience in Prague

A very nice restaurant right in the center of the old town of Czech capital Prague. The ambiente and atmosphere are beautiful. There are art prints on the dark wood panels and walls. The prices are fair. Food and dishes are of high quality, taste very well and are fresh made. You should not miss the opportunity to test and taste the fine Czech ales. Service is very fast and they always try to meet guests' goals. Here I First time testen a mixture of blond and dark ales: very good!

Amazing local Czech food, big portions enough for two people, reasonable prices, good draft beer. Must try Roasted Pork ribs and draft beer Pilsner urquell. Just be careful about the bread that they serve without asking as they charge u 60 CZK for it.

We went there for dinner because we were looking for a original Czechia Kitchen. I had a half duck and the taste was really amazing! The portions are really huge and the taste was really incredible good! If you looking for a original Prague kitchen it’s definitely worth to go there! Highly recommend that place!

This was the first restaurant we visited in Prague whilst looking for Czech food, and it felt very authentic! The food was excellent, with extremely large portions at a very low price. I had the "Jindřich" and my partner had the "Roasted pork ribs with honey and black beer". Both were some of the best food we ate during our entire 2-week trip, with both dishes having plenty of unique flavours. Service was prompt and friendly enough, pretty standard if you've eaten in UK pubs. Unfortunately the cheap food and beer resulted in a large group (10+) of men, along with multiple smaller groups, drinking at the surrounding tables with all the resulting boisterousness you'd expect! When we entered there were 3-4 couples scattered around, by the time we left it was around 50% filled with drinking groups of men, with only a couple of other customers. This absolutely isn't the fault of the restaurant, and the loud drinking groups weren't aggressive or anything, but it does make it impossible to talk or relax, and can be a little disconcerting on your first night in a country! Of course, it's partially our fault for visiting on a Friday afternoon (4:30pm). In summary, I would visit again, but would perhaps aim for lunchtime or a weekday.

We wanted to taste the typical Czech food, so we booked a table in this restaurant. The goulash with bread dumplings was spicy and soft, very delicious. Also the broth with meat and noodles was a good choice. Sadly the service was very very slow. I would have gone for a dessert as well, but we lost a lot of time waiting for any waiters.

RECOMMENDED! I was more than satisfied with my dish of grilled meat (beef and chicken were superbe), coming with plenty of tasty sauces and at a very convenient price! The choice of beers is wide and half a liter comes for just 2€.. Finally the service is very fast too!

Well you get food at a very reasonable price. We didn't really like either of our dishes though and it was conspicuous that the food arrived less than 5 minutes after ordering. For the gulash that would have been ok but for the meat not so much.

It feels like 90s place. I love the decor and service was ok. Paid 421 czk to duck and the beer. Not an expensive place specially comparing to portion. Definetely I advise.

Looks a real local pub with traditional cezch food. Ordered beef goulash with bread dumpling and beef veggie broth. Both very good with very reasonable prices. 288czk about US$12+. Very filling.

Traditional Czech cuisine with quick service and good prices. The atmosphere was also great, really good place for a chill date or to just have a great time with some friends.

Service was average, a bit too hasty for my taste. Atmosphere was easygoing and nice. A bit loud when we were there, but still fine. The best aspect was the food. The food was great from taste/quality perspective, and the portions were large. The beer was also great. Overall a really great traditional restaurant with very good value for the price. So it's 5 stars for the "package" from me, even though not everything was perfect.

This is a very cozy restaurant. Gives the feeling of being in typical Czech restaurant. Food was very good and came at a good price. Location is very central.

Good little restaurant outside of the tourist zone. Good beer, food was delicious. Steak was a little overdone for my taste but the mushroom sauce that came with it was yummy. Nice overall atmosphere, friendly service staff with limited english. But we managed to get what we wanted. Good place for a local flavor.

Local pub / restaurant located in the center of Prague. Mainly cuisine based on typical local meat (pork and chicken), quite good and well cooked. Very good beer at German levels. nice and friendly staff. Nice and well furnished place. They accept euro as currency.

Lovely local Czech food. To be honest we have not found a restaurant that makes bad Czecz food. Love Prague and all it has to offer. This place was very close to our hotel and we came on the last day, wish we had been before.

If you want to eat typical czech food, not with some specials for tourists, this is good choice. Waitress is so kind like you are. 🙂 And you will have your food so quickly. Every pubs looks like this a few years ago, every food tastes like here. Sometimes you can find similar pub in the village. And this is not expensive, especially for the center of Prague.

If you like a place with traditional czech food and having a nice time with friends around a pair of beers, it will your place. Daniela attended us nicely and very receptive in english. If you don't have enough czech crowns, they accept euro or card, in the menu appears the currency exchange. Full recommended it!

Horrible beer, horrible food. Staff who was annoyed by our presence. Salad Caesar was missing bacon, croutons, taste… Greek salat wasn’t greek at all. I’d rather not comment on the salmon. Our last visit.
