I don't usually leave bad reviews, but this was perhaps the most disappointing restaurant I've ever been. I ordered the chicken with asparagus and the grilled vegetables as an extra, because they suggested. In similar restaurants around I would have a feast, especially paying this price, but at this one, not only was the size of the portion disappointing, but it was also bad. Dry chicken and extra oily vegetables.

Dear all, we stopped by for the coffee and after our visitation I cannot recommend this restaurant. It started when we were waiting for the waiter. He came, went direct to the one table with a ketchup and he went away. He did not notice that other tables including us need the service. Further we were waiting few more minutes then the waiter came, he did not notice that our table is dirty, so I told him and he cleaned it up. And to our coffee with ice cream, vanilla ice cream was overfreezed - full of big pieces of ice, home made lemonade was not outgoing - only fruit pulp with water without pieces of fruit. There was also mess on the toilet.

This review is not about food. The whole experience was just for 2 stars, unfortunately. What was good? The view and location are perfect. That’s all. We took 3 beers: •quite regular as for taste in fact. •quite expensive as for prices in Prague (4 euro or 90 Kc/each). And we were not able to pay by card. In the heart of the city! And we discovered that just when we asked for the bill. Whaaaat? IDK, I thought that’s impossible in 2022. Hopefully we didn’t order whole course. Not going to come back here. Not recommended either.

Tourist trap to avoid at all costs. Although the view was nice, the rest was I dare say awful. The food was stale, and not only that, it was extremely overpriced. We paid 80 euros for a quantity of food normally priced around 50. I do not recommend it.

I saw reviews after I was here. I don't know for the others and why they have had such a bad experience, but we went there with no expectations, and I can tell this was a really good place to have a nice lunch and beer. Service was good as well.

First place we stopped for a snack on our hols. Only had a very basic sandwich and a small draught beer each. Was presented with a very overpriced bill for almost 600 koruna. The sandwich worked out at almost £8 each and as l said was nothing special. Have been to many other places since and nowhere else was anywhere near as expensive . We had also ordered two different beers but were both given the same ones. The man serving us was not particularly friendly either. Not to be recommended for service, decent food or value for money. Plenty of better places to go where you will not feel you have been ripped off!!

I was looking for a Czech restaurant. This place disappointed me greatly. Felt like I scared myself and was scared at the same time. This place is lonely. Felt like a ghost town honestly. Starting with the waiter, he wasn't friendly at all, he felt fed up talking to me. Then there came the darkness of the place too which made it more grim. When you enter this place, it's like you are back in the medical days. Nothing has changed at all. Nonetheless, this brings me to the food. I should have ran out the moment I saw self-service shelves like those in sub-way. I asked the man if they use the microwave, he said yes and some other words. I took it as though he didn't understand what I meant. They warm the food in this restaurant. Whoever goes to this place, they will warm your food. They won't cook it. My chicken bone was warmed up. How I know this is that it was crispy like it was burned. I couldn't eat the food. Everything felt like a scam and unhealthy, unoriginal and unbothered.

Nice background, but the waiters we’re slow and they we’re forgetting our order. It’s unexpacteble expensive, and you can pay only with cash. Overall it was a bad experience.

There is a lot of bad reviews but I have to share really nice experience with Gotika. The food was great - our favorite "vyprazany syr" (fried cheese), portions were just right - I don't like huge portions that end up in the bin and this meal was just satisfying. Drinks were lovely, the location is amazing and we really enjoyed dinning and relaxing there. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Prices are as expected for this location - next to the Charles Bridge. Thumbs up for Gotika.

We had the best schweinshaxe here. Skin was crisp, and the meat was very tender. Better than any place in Germany! The place is quiet and the service was friendly.

The view was nice but there was no wifi and you have to order food, the waiter was so rude..

The waiter refused to let us sit on an empty table because we weren't going to have dinner at 5:30pm. Unbelievably rude.

Way too expensive. Very bad food. Very bad service. Caesar salad is lettuce, mayonnaise, pre-grated cheap cheese and four tiny bits of chicken.

Pretty much like everyone else says -- it's expensive, even by US prices. We were the only ones there and ate inside (due to weather). The service was decent and quick enough but the food was hit or miss (mostly miss). The portions were tiny too, making it more of a fancy place than we wanted/expected. Most likely, a little outside the center, we'd get twice the food for half the price with better taste.

The reviews where bad, but the location perfect, so we tried our luck and it paid off. The food was good at an average to low price for touristic places. The amount of food was not excessive but plenty to fill up an stomach. The salmon, broccoli spaghetti and aubergine in the oven where cook to perfection. The service in these places usually is quite bad, bossy and imposing, but here they where good, friendly and effective despite the amount of costumers that they had. I usually do not leave good references for touristic places but I guess bad expectations leave good taste.

This place is a tourist trap : first prices are much higher than elsewhere. Then, when we went to pay the waitress ask us if we would tip. I don't think that's something to ask to client.

I felt a mandatory to post this truly accurate opinion for every other visitors from the world to safe precious travel time with your lovers. This place is definitely not recommended. The guy who has the short cut was laughing alone by staring us and it seems like racism for me. Furthermore, It was so funny that the other colleague aksed me to pay for the tip with such terrible service.

We ordered a mixed traditional bohemian dish. I like grilled potatoes, but the ones here were the worst I've ever had in my life, and so were the "Knödel". But the worst thing was a plastic bag of waste lying under my bench, that had obviously layn there for quite some time and never has been removed. I started to guess what in the world might be in it. Since the food wasn't good at all, I didn't want to raise one even more fuss and we just left as soon as possible. I read many other reviews here and I can agree to almost all of them. In this area the restaurants outside tables are all only for meal orderers, not for drinks-only. Maybe they all are owned by the same person. It's a pity that this restaurant with such a beautiful view is being operated this way. What a waste.

Very unfriendly, arrogant and not interested in service. I have got refused, because we just wanted a beer instead of eating there. It was not a prime time, lots of free tables and it is a pub. Try to stay away from this place.

Awful food, they charge you extras additionally from what is written on menu. Not worthy of money. Nice view and that's it!

As mentioned by previous guest this is sadly not a good experience. At best a tourist trap with excellent location, at worst a scam since no restaurant worth it salt would knowingly serve this food at these rates. The menu was unclear but even with added side dishes our food was extrenely barren, dry and sad. Hopefully they can improve because this is not okay.

The food was laughable. It was expensive, bland and small portions. Atleast the view was nice.

I give one star because i can't give less. The place is great but the service, once they realise you dont want to eat just to have a drink, they treat you like a second class client. It is basically just a tourist trap with doubled prices for traditional meals and beers. There are much better restaurants in the area with welcoming atmosphere. Avoid this if you can
