Update: New visit, after one year . Some interior decorating improvements. Quality still in extreme condition ❤️. Extremely highly recommended espresso bar in the center of Prague. Specialty espresso at his best quality. Espresso shot full of flavors!! Staff is multilingual and very helpful with the order. Location is perfect to start your day with a coffee to go or stay in their minimal and design store. Beware.. only for coffee lovers 🫶❤️☕

Ema is still my go-to place for great coffee, unbelievably delicious buchta and just a place to sit down and read a book or catch up with a friend whenever I’m in Prague.

Sehr coole Idee!

Wanted to find a good third wave coffee place with various coffee selection. The place is somewhat minimalistic, more or less self-service. There are only shared spaces (along the windows and shared tables in the middle), meaning that if you seek a little privacy for yourself talking, it’s not the place for this. They brew most of their stuff from coffee from Ethiopia, although they also have Guatemala and Kenya (the roasts aren’t noted anywhere though..). We’ve had Batch brew, which was brewed from Guatemalan coffee; it was pretty much tasteless, once the coffee became a little colder you could taste some bitter-sweetness, but altogether it was a pretty “mehhh” for a batch brew coffee - for at the time 55CZK (2.25€). We’ve also had an espresso - brewed from Ethiopian coffee -, which was a step better, but still the taste was a somewhat okay-ish brewed coffee. One thing to note, you CAN’T select the type of coffee for your espresso. I think a third-wave coffee place shouldn’t advertise itself as a third wave coffee place offering micro-lot coffees, if you can’t even choose the type of coffee you want to drink. We’ve also had some cake - it was good, nothing to really compliment or criticise. Overall, this place has not too much to offer, especially for the money, which seems to be a little on the overpriced side (which, unfortunately, can be said for most of Prague’s coffee places).

My favourite spot to visit for coffee in Prague. I normally choose a latte or espresso. This branch is in a good, convenient spot and perfect to sit out in front on a warm day. The latte was silky smooth and not too bitter and the espresso was subtly but pleasantly cocoa/tar-like (tar being complimentary!). Friendly and welcoming service - of course would recommend highly.

A top notch little coffee house in Prague situated next to the academy of sciences. At the moment there is a fair bit of construction in the area, but access is still not a problem. Was greeted by friendly people working here and the coffee menu was very good. This place may come across as a bit stiff, but it is quite the opposite once you order and have a seat, definitely no signs of hipster pretentiousness here. Coffee was very good as was the cinnamon bun (Snek), almost as good as what one could get in Scandinavia! Keep up the good work!!

I like the style of this coffee. But it's noisy to stay inside. Coffee and croissant is ok.

One of the few awesome speciality coffee bars in downtown Prague. EMA delivers excellently poured, frothed and served coffees by skilled barista. A great selection of pastries, sweets and sandwiches is available - all delicious. The atmosphere is hip and vibrant, and a great place to start your day with energy. The staff is friendly and efficient. My favorite café and for me the best way to start into the day when in Prague.

Excellent coffee spot! As amateur coffee lovers we spoke with the friendly baristas on the gram, water flow and time they used to achieve the great espresso shot. All the staff were super friendly and we bought some beans to try at home.

I enjoyed my experience at this Cafe and of course my cappuccino. It is a bit of a younger and alternative atmosphere. My main minus point of this cafe is because it is very popular there is not enough seating and you are sometimes forced to sit outside if you don't want to stand. Overall a nice cafe.

The place looks nice. Coffee is mediocre, crousin as well. They don't have light sugar, which is weird. Overall, i would say 4/5

Super fun espresso bar. Not a ton of seating but some of the best coffee you’ll find in Prague! There are also a ton of locations all throughout the city. Try the Cappuccino 😋

As a coffee lover, coffee quality is on the top of my criteria when I evaluate a coffee shop, and the place has great coffee however I was very disappointed by two things: 1) tables/seats are really uncomfortable and 2) the place has no wifi (what café has no WiFi in 2023!?), therefore I could only stay like 10 min here, I’m not sure if this is part of the concept but, for me the atmosphere and experience while enjoying the coffee is equally important.

Best coffee place in Prague. Free tap water and cozy seating. Not a lot of seats available if busy.

Delicious cake and coffee (that you can also order with oatmilk), friendly staff! The place is a little small and quite busy.. which might be kinda uncomfortable for some people… However, the coffee is delicious, so it’s worth it ☺️

One of the best speciality coffees in Prague and their service is out of this world amazing!! Everyone speaks great English which is helpful when (like me) you don’t speak a word of the local language. The sandwiches were fantastic and the pastries even more so! Definitely a cool trendy type place / hangout - great for sitting down on the patio and people watching. Especially so on a weekend ;-) I went back 3x during a single weekend. That’s how good it is! Must tried are the croissants and the TOASTIES sandwich!!

Top specialty coffee place. Every coffee is special, from rich doppio (double espresso) to the creamy and tasteful cappuccino and flat white 🥰🌺

Specialty coffee in Prague. We tasted washed Ethiopian cortado and it was really good. A lot of people spend more time here enjoying good coffee and working. They also have a variety of bakery.

Consistently the best coffee shop we go to, both in CZ and throughout Europe. Cozy environment, pleasant background music, decent choice of quick eats and amazing coffee beans. You can't ask anything more!

Great coffee and fabulous trendy interior. This is definitely the best coffee in the area and open at 8 which is earlier than others in the area. Would be great if they have more milk options - only oat and full fat cows milk.

I miss this cafe so much since last time I visited it. They have nice coffee and pastry. The coffee shop is very wide open and enlightening by the nature light, very beautiful place. This is one of my unforgettable places while I was traveling in Prague. Hopefully l can go back to have a coffee again after covid..
