Hermitage is a really nice hotel but what was a pleasant surprise was the scent. Beautiful smell throughout the hotel and also the rooms! I was a little worried about the train tracks but thanks to the triple-glazed windows it was quiet. It is a former printing house from 1907 remodelled and turned into a hotel so it's a new and modern place. I don't think there is anything we didn't like. I mean the place is a little busy but has a very nice lounge and restaurant and cafe next to it. Prague is the heart of Europe and it has a certain magical vibe. Especially in the evening, it turns into a very different city (yes I know, like many other cities). But Prague is different, it's small enough to walk anywhere, and public transport has signs in English (unlike Vienna, boo!) and offers green spaces as well as large shopping centres. And if you need a bit of quiet try a countless number of places of worship of different fates. But what you must do is take a walk (a bit hilly) to Prague Castle to admire the city of hundred spires, you'll know what I mean when you get there.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, a tram stop close, only a 3 minutes walk down to the river. It’s also easily also accessible by walking along the river from the downtown or back in 20 minutes. We had a room with a fantastic view. The parking fee is more fair than other hotels nearby and in a completely secure garage under the hotel. The best part of the experience is the staff especially at the front desk reception they are extremely responsive, friendly and kind. Also the breakfast buffet was fantastic.

We spent four nights in October in a Superior Double Room. What can I say, it's certainly a very good hotel with virtually no flaws. If you're planning a trip to Prague and are unsure about which hotel to choose, you can opt for the Hermitage Hotel Prague with confidence. The building used to be a printing press. I find it remarkable how they've redesigned it, not forgetting its roots, and have immortalized them on various walls with pictures and documentation. It's located near the city center, but not so close that you'd get caught in traffic chaos when driving. Additionally, the hotel offers both outdoor and garage parking. Outdoor parking costs around 17 euros per day, which is quite reasonable for Prague and relatively cheap. The rooms are top-notch, very clean, in a quiet location, and incredibly spacious. They have international channels on the TV. The breakfast spread is extensive, and the food is consistently delicious, although there might be a rush at certain times. The hotel bar serves great cocktails and drinks until 10:00 PM. You can also grab a coffee to go during the day. We also used room service to have a burger delivered to our room, which was excellent and reasonably priced. I highly recommend it. Regarding the location, you can either take a 40-minute walk to the city center, catch a tram just around the corner, or use the Bolt app for the easiest way. I'd like to emphasize the excellent service and friendliness of the staff. When visiting Prague again, I would definitely book here without hesitation.

Hotel was fine. Clean, friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Not very luxury though. Towels a bit thin and small and also had soap dispensers instead of miniature toiletries. Not too far to walk to the river and further attractions.

The Hermitage hotel is in the heart of Prague near the Vitava River and near many of the wonderful attractions that one goes to Prague for in the first place. For instance it's not that far from the Charles bridge and the castle, or Old Town. But for those of you who would be coming from the US, it's important to remember that anytime you're going to a European, especially former Eastern European region, what you define as luxury maybe smaller than what you're used to. However, they make up for it with amazing service, history, sites, customs, and traditions. Our hotel rooms are quite comfortable, but small by US standards, even though it is their luxury room. The only thing we actually don't have is the balcony. But that doesn't really change anything. The air conditioning is minimal, so you would need to anticipate making great use of the windows which means you need to have an idea of what the weather forecast is. Also take note of the power supplies and make sure that you're adequately prepared with adapters. Closet space is minimum, and simply speaking, it's an elegant, simple setup. There is a safe in the room, and a mini fridge which comes fully stocked with snacks beers and booze. Pricing is pretty good. NOTE: "Type" the restaurant and bar downstairs closes at 10:00, so if you're looking for beer late at night make sure you have gotten it by then. Otherwise there's a pizzeria around the corner that can hook you up. For morning coffee there's a tray with instant coffee on the bottom shelf inside the closet. One interesting note is that the ground floor is floor 0. + floors going up and - floors going down. We are enjoying our stay here and in fact have a few different rooms with extended family all staying here and advise you to do the same!

Stayed 3 nights. Good location. Clean comfortable rooms. Easy to get Bolt or Uber rides always. Checked us in early. Friendly staff.

The room was nicely arranged. The breakfast menu had many options to choose from. The reception staff were very kind and informative, providing a map and suggested locations to visit on check in. They offered 24hr transport passes, which was very convenient as the public transport was very close to the hotel. The gym on the top floor can be a bit noisy for the rooms on floor below at nights and mornings. This was the only negative experience during the stay.

Very good hotel with the parking garage. Great service! Special thank you to the receptionist Kate for quick professional and friendly solution of our issue. The breakfast was good, enough variety, the only one wish to have more vegetables and a salad, herbs. The hotel is situated in a calm location not far from a city centre - only 5-10 minutes by tram or taxi.

We love staying there. The breakfast was really good, the rooms are big and very comfortable. You have a lot of trams close to the hotel so it was very easy get to the historic center, also you can go walking. I will love to repeat here

Lovely hotel, quiet, very modern and clean. Staff very helpful, breakfast was good. Location was good for us approx 30 mins walk from old town if you don't want to walk plenty of transport and a tram a short distance away. Would definitely recommend.

Unable to compare this to other hotels in Prague but I would imagine it’s one of the best. Really friendly helpful staff from start to finish on our 3 night stay. The rooms have everything you would expect, clean and spacious with nothing looking worn or broken. The breakfast was really nice and is worth adding on, I’m confident everyone would find something they like. The location is a bit out of the centre which I personally preferred as it can get busy on the streets in some of the main tourist areas. We didn’t get any public transport whilst exploring the city because the weather was so nice and it was nice wondering the streets which we always felt safe but the city is very well connected and i can’t imagine you would struggle getting anywhere you wanted on some of the cool looking trams. The hotel has a bar and restaurant which looked really nice but we didn’t get chance to sample, U kroka is a nice local restaurant which is only 5 minutes away, in relation to local bars, Prague has so many! Thank you for making our Prague experience so much better.

Lovely modern hotel in a quiet area, very helpful staff spoke good English and helped with everything from tram tickets directions and arranging our taxi. Rooms very comfortable and breakfast very good and plentiful. 5min walk to tram stop we took the 17 tram to Charles bridge or you can walk it past the river in about 30min or 10min on regular trams.

Beautiful hotel, spacious rooms, good breakfast but broken house keeping. No cups for coffee and cleaning service doesn't do their job at least in the case of my room. Additional perk for fitness freaks - close vicinity of a CrossFit gym

Overall we had a good stay, however it feels more like a three-star hotel than four (no pool or sauna!) especially at this price. It would benefit from: fresh juice at breakfast, and a fresh waffle maker, and conditioner in the shower

The hotel lobby and convention look nice and are well heated. The room is basic. It’s clean which is great. As I haven’t been feeling my best here, I did ask for an extra quilt like an hour ago and still haven’t received it. I called again to be sure they knew what i was requesting for and the lady at the front desk confirmed house keeping would bring it around. The extra quilt came after the probably the shift changed and they were very apologetic, offering me a half board voucher to make up for inconvenience. I had already eaten, but the gesture was still nice.

Located within close commute to old town. This is a good hotel to stay at. Staff are friendly and supportive. The breakfast buffet was nice. Only small let down was the size and cleanliness of the rooms. The water pressure of the shower is slow and weak and bath room felt a bit cramped in the room we had, it is too close to the door. I do recommend.

We had a 4 night stay at this hotel April into May. The hotel was lovely. A clean, classy modern reception with funky seating area which was usually quiet and allowed peaceful contemplation or reading. The bar was small and inviting with the restaurant round the corner giving it a bit more privacy. The rooms are absolutely ideal for a city break/short stay hotel. The Bohemians FC football team stayed there the night before their match against which ever of the Prague trams they were playing, so it must be decent... I only gave 4 stars because being located in Prague 2 it is that wee bit further away from most of the big attractions you would visit on a city break here. That being said, it's very close to the Vyton tram stop which can take you where you need to go. The trams in Prague are so good that this 4 star location could be a 5. This hotel is a nice walk to the Riverside, which is itself a lovely walk into the old town. I would stay here again

This hotel is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and reasonably priced. What impressed me the most though was the service. Wow! I've worked in customer service for many years and I was impressed. From the receptionist who checked us in to the young man and woman who work at the bar, and have been training for a short 6 months turnt a not so great experience at the restaurant (the food we were served was quite disappointing and tasteless) into an amazing example of exceptional customer service. The restaurant was a huge disappointment and compared to other restaurants in Prague quite expensive for what you get. I expected much more and for the price the food was simply not acceptable. The breakfast though was extensive and pretty good. It took us about 20 minutes to walk along the river to the city centre which was fine for us. However, there are some great cafés and pubs in the area very close to the hotel. Czech and French. Would I stay there again? Yes, probably.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Hotel staffs were very friendly and welcoming. Location is less than 10 minutes from city center. Tram stations are closed by. There is a convenient store next to the hotel. Hotel bar is very nice as well. I will definitely stay here again.

Good hotel! And they served us well! The minibar is quite pricey but u guess it’s so worth. The hotel is not far from Charles Bridge and also from tramway. It’s in quite neighbourhood so you can sleep peacefully

Very good location, friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. Everything is very clean. Nice decorated. Good gym on 6th floor. Perfect for visit Prague, walking distance to main highlights (or easy access to tram around the corner). Enough restaurants in area. Pickup and drop off airport arranged by hotel was perfect (800 czk one way)

Excellent hotel! Nothing to complain about at all. The staff were very kind when we arrived, our room was spacious with a big bed, and breakfast was good too!

5 nights here, for work mainly. Room was ok, comfy bed but weird pillows. Clean as expected. Breakfast could have a bit more healtier options. Staff mainly polite. There was an expensive fee for room service which I find it ridiculous. Overall I wouldn't stay here again, not because it was bad, but could have been better for the price.

We booked a room for 2 nights but the plans have been changed and we asked at check in that we need just 1 night. At the sight they wasn’t able to change it and told me to wait till morning. In the morning I came for check out in the morning and they told that impossible to change the booking So I was 1 night but paid for 2 The reception is nice renovated but the rooms with the little smell of Soviet hotel…

Stayed here for 4 nights. Excellent hotel experience from start to finish. Located in a quiet part of town, which suited us down to the ground. Lovely rooms and excellent staff. Highly recommended.

Comfortable room with everything you need. It was clean and cozy, with modern furnishing. They have The Breakfast. The variety of fresh options was a pleasant surprise. It is an excellent way for a tourist to start their day of discovering Prague. For that, I am grateful. The location is ~20 min walking distance from the old Town, but the tram commute is nearby. Vyšehrad Fort is close; visit it as well.

This hotel is just really good! The reception will give you some amazing recommendations for all kinds of places (from restaurants to hairdressers and other services) and the staff is very friendly. The room will be cleaned every day however they won't change your bed sheets or towels every day. Overall, the hotel is very quiet and you can really enjoy some peace here to relax. They also have a restaurant inside but honestly it's better to eat in some of the local restaurants to get a better price and food variety. My experience here was really great and this will definitely be my hotel for the next time I come to Prague. As a big plus, they also accept dogs and even have some toys for them. 😁

This is a lovely place to stay when visiting Prague. The staff are super helpful and there are a couple wonderful restaurants nearby that offer great Czech food and beer with pleasant atmospheres. The breakfast at the hotel was good, too. The location is nice, near Vyšehrad for good views of the city and close to trams that can take you wherever you would like to go. Highly recommended.

Excellent stylish and clean hotel. Friendly staff. Good breakfast, pastries pleasantly surprised me. The beds are really comfy. The room has everything one might need. I loved the breakfasts do much but needed to leave really early because of my early flight. The hotel was kind to give me a decent breakfast box. But I was very sad that the box did not contain your great croissants and other produce but rather pre packaged cookies:) but still a nice extra. Thank you for everything!

Well located, only 5 minutes away you could enjoy the view and drink by the river, neighborhood is quiet calm and chill. Fresh and decent breakfast! The reception is much less professional or nice compared with the staffs in restaurant or cleaning. I won’t recommend the mini bar either cause we found some molds on the bottles…….

The inside has been really well done up, everything looks slick, modern and clean. The layout of everything is highly convenient - very good interior design, there's power outlets in every place they may be useful, which I found greatly useful. There's plenty of space where it's needed, drawer for the table, everything feels in the right place and is very useful. Delightful breakfast buffet, very friendly and helpful staff - really a pleasure to be dealing with the staff here. Good noise isolation, comfy bed. My stay couldn't have been any better.

Overall it was a good experience 😃👍🏼 I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Hermitage Hotel during my visit to Prague, and it was truly a delightful experience. The hotel offers nice and comfortable rooms that were well-appointed and provided a cozy atmosphere throughout my stay. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast served at the hotel. The variety of options available, coupled with the high quality of the food, made for a delightful start to each day. The attentive and friendly staff added to the breakfast experience, ensuring a pleasant and enjoyable meal. The location of The Hermitage Hotel is another aspect that I appreciated. While it is situated just outside the city center, it is still conveniently walkable from the heart of Prague, taking around 20-30 minutes along the water. This scenic stroll allowed me to enjoy the beautiful surroundings while heading to the main attractions.

Very nice and clean rooms. There are cases in some hotels rooms where i found something broken or not working but not the case here. Great personell and the service experience was pleasant. In the morning at breakfast you have a lot of food, drinks variety and the quality it's great. Location it's gonna be the only downside cause it's a little far from some point of interest. For me and my girlfriend was not a problem cause we like to walk on the streets and see even the parts of the city that are not so popular. Overall good experience for a small vacation.

Loved the Hermitage hotel. Great location. Nice comfortable rooms but the selling point is the high quality service from the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Nothing is a problem to help you with and they make you feel so welcome. Highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Prague 👍

I absolutely loved my stay at hermitage hotel. In our case, breakfast was included and it was super nice buffet. The location was perfect, quiet neighborhood and really close to the city center. Very lovely hotel! Everything was fully working and very clean. The staff is really friendly and willing to help. The gym is amazing with a great view. So everyone who is willing to pay a bit more for a stay in Prague: totally worth it.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Good sized rooms and facilities. The bar and restaurant prices are above average for the area, but it is a 4 star rating hotel. Really good breakfast. Only downside was no USB sockets in the room.

The hotel is very nice, beautiful and with refined decor. ALL staff from the front office to the FeB is all very friendly and attentive, always available to accommodate your request. Also, for my birthday, I found a surprise in the room, champagne, cake, and a card, much appreciated. High recommended.

  • 5/5 CJ 1 year ago on Google
The rooms are clean, have a decent size and are well equipped. The view was also kind of good. The location is very good as the city can be easily reached by foot (closest is the dancing house). On the weekend there was a market nearby along side the river. The service was outstanding and very friendly. We just had one complication with one employee which the other personnel solved for me. I'd definitely recommend this hotel and would consider coming back. Parking is reasonably priced at ~ 25 € / night.
