You get what you pay for in the Grandium. It is very well located, and within walking distance of the city centre and of many of the cities main attractions. The excellent Prague public transport system (Metro / Tram) is also within an easy walk. The hotel is much larger than appears from outside, and as soon as you walk through to the foyer, the overall size becomes immediately evident. I was with my son (middle-aged), and we both felt that the hotel lived up to expectations in almost all respects. The overall surroundings in the lobby were bright and airy but were generally pleasant places to relax in. There was an adjoining bar area if you would like to enjoy a chat over a drink. The rooms were very pleasingly laid out and well finished. The breakfast choice was superb. It would be hard to come up with a breakfast item that was not available. Any time that I interacted with staff, they were extremely pleasant. Overall, a good experience. Happy to recommend.

One of the best hotels I have been to. Located in the center, on a street parallel to the main street. The staff is unmatched! Large and luxurious rooms. The room is cleaned every day. I really have no words. Highly recommend

Excellent experience in general, very clean room, comfortable bed and good breakfast. The location is also very good. I would just improve the Internet speed during the busy hours, can be a problem for someone working from the hotel. Not enough to lose the 5 stars rating though.

Beautiful hotel with extremely friendly helpful staff. The staff in the morning are very efficient clearing away dishes from your table. Room was spacious and light, everything we needed in a room. We used the restaurant once and found the young waiter to be very nice and the food was very good. We also had a cocktail in the bar one evening and they were delicious and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend this hotel

Nice hotel for the price. Several things to mention...We had a room directly above the smoking area at the entrance which meant we had cigarette smoke in our room the whole time and eventually we had to close the windows which was really uncool as there was no fresh air in the room (and no window in bathroom either). Breakfast was alright, orange juice is not fresh but diluted stuff. And it's loud with loads of business men in white collar shirts talking like a flock of sea gulls 😏 The bed is very comfy and the room clean. The staff is semi friendly but not very energized to really go out of their way. It would be nice to see someone work there who REALLY wants to make a difference. We missed that in every staff connection. Would I recommend this hotel? Depends what you want... It's clean it's close to the train station and it serves its purpose. If you want to be treated like wanted guests then no, not recommended. I travel for work and privately a lot and have a lot of hotels I've seen real customer service. This is not one of them. But it was okay.

First off, this is not a 5 star hotel as it is advertised and for the amount you pay. Food - The dining area is nice but the breakfast buffet is average at best and the restaurants/bars are extremely overpriced and the food lacks any flavour. Services - cab arranged with hotel staff the night before was late and costs more than double what an Uber would cost. Rooms - small and dated. Shower did not work correctly and the bathroom floor was consistently wet. Fitness - no gym. Location - the only reason worth staying here is for the location. However, there are much cheaper alternatives in the area.

This is a really good hotel. We enjoyed our stay in a nice clean room and with a nice breakfast. I think we got the feeling that they had had trouble with stag do’s in the past, and there were notices about being fined for making noise late in the evening, and further fines for removing breakfast items. This all seemed a little bit non-five star. We also never got our milk replaced from the first night which again slightly dampened the views on the the service, but it was lovely otherwise, and well placed. I would certainly consider staying in here again.

Gorgeous hotel. Very Convenient and close to everything you want to see in Prague. 4 minute walk from the main station where the airport express bus stops. Amazing breakfast options as an added bonus! Couldn't fault it.

This is the worst experience I've had at a supposed five-star hotel. We had requested a double bed room, but instead were given a room with two single beds. When we tried to change rooms using the phone in our room, we were told to wait for staff. After waiting for 15 minutes without anyone showing up, we called the front desk again, and they assured us the staff were on their way. Eventually, two staff members entered the room without uttering a single word or even offering a greeting. They simply started combining the beds and putting on bed sheets. The room itself was shockingly dirty and far from comfortable. To make matters worse, water wasn't complimentary, and they didn't provide any slippers. The bathroom appeared to be designed for handicapped individuals, with only a curtain for showering, causing the entire bathroom to become soaked after showering. The water temperature was anything but consistent, fluctuating between cold and scalding hot without warning. When we return to collect our baggage, when handing our number tag to the staff, staff starting to speak to their colleagues in Czech for 5 minutes without letting us know what’s going on. After they finish their conversation, the staff just show us to the luggage room like nothing happened. So we just stood there for 5 minutes waiting for them chatting.

This hotel was a disappointment, it didn't meet our expectations at all. The room was very small, the temperature couldn't be adjusted, it was constantly hot, and the windows were locked, so we couldn't even ventilate the room. We requested a double bed room, but instead, we got a twin room where the beds were pushed together, making it uncomfortable. The toilet seat was loose and slanted, the room service did not noticed even several days after. Breakfast was okay, although the quality of the drinks was poor. For dinner, you could choose from the same few dishes every day, most of which were very spicy Asian foods. (as i know it is the same for months) It's more like a 2 or 3-star hotel, definitely not a 5-star one.

We had a very nice stay at this nice hotel. The staff greeted us when we checked in, and he was very polite and professional. The stay included breakfast buffet and food selection was great. We enjoyed it very much. The hotel was pretty big and looked high-end. It was in walking distance to the major tourist area and close to the public transportation at the same time. The room was clean and good size. The bathroom had a bathtub as well. They cleaned the room and provided clean towels every day. The price was reasonable, and I'd highly recommend the hotel.

Room lovely but fridge not working and shower screen ineffective - they corrected the fridge issue the same day. Bed very comfortable. Even put a cot with all the bedding in there. A first for all of the hotels we have stayed at. Breakfast delicious and lots of options. Would benefit from a lot more fresh fruits like apples, bananas and oranges. The juices provided tasted rather sweet/added sugars, but all in all breakfast was excellent! Would recommend.

Absolutely stunning hotel! we loved everything about it, the Location , which is only a few minutes walk from the main street, walking distance to main attractions. Rooms are beautiful and very clean. Breakfast was absolutely great. I can’t share enough how much I’m happy with this hotel and the management, my grandmother lost her diamond ring and earrings in the room which was sent to us by mail. Big thank you for the great service!

Room was fine albeit the cleaners will throw out anything left out such as receipts and we ended up losing a ticket to a show. The beds are tiny. If you are larger than the average male then the single bed will be a difficult sleep. The wifi didn’t reach our room adequately so we couldn’t watch anything using our phones or maintain a signal for calls. The food was mediocre. Whilst there was plenty to choose from at the breakfast, I found that the staff cooked pork in the same pans as the vegetarian options and you could taste it. The cost was about right for what you get but don’t expect much.

Really nice hotel, extremely clean. And great location, breakfast was great too, one of the nicest hotel breakfasts I have ever had. Room was nice and warm considering how cold it was outside. Beds were comfy and room was spacious. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel in an ideal location as we had everything close by combining direct access to the city center on foot and quiet. The hotel's great asset is its breakfast, which is excellent, in incredible quantities, excellent quality and a wide variety. We were full for almost the whole day! The room we stayed in was excellent and exactly what we needed. The cleanliness is impeccable as are the amenities. The internet signal was strong and stable. The staff is very kind and ready to serve us at any time. We highly recommend it to everyone!

Fantastic hotel! Housekeeping were great, reception staff were so friendly, free breakfast was amazing and even included champagne. I had a baby and they were so happy to organise a cot and high chair for my room. Very cheap price for the quality you get. Lifts can take a while but it wasn’t too bad. They also carried our bags to our room and organised a car to the airport for us. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

We stayed for 5 days. The room was mostly clean. We had a room to the courtyard - which was really great, no noise disturbing us. The bed was OK, the AC is better kept at Auto-mode. Breakfast is OK, but not really brilliant. You get all you need, but nothing more. And in doubt, I would book it again, because overall it is alright - no nasty surprises.

This was the smallest hotel room we have been since we have been in Europe. The bed was super hard and uncomfortable. Although everything was clean and the staff was pretty nice. We also got a massage and it was good. They do it on the floor which was different but no complaints there. The spa and sauna was nice as well but they should add alcoholic beverages to the area. The hotel is in a nice area but they could upgrade the beds.

Beautiful hotel. Staff were very helpful. The whole place was very clean and well presented. Breakfast gave you many choices from hot to cold. All tasty. Would stay there again as only a few minutes walk from Wenceslas Square.

A great hotel with a great breakfast buffet. Overall a very enjoyable stay. I will say though that it is a smaller building with small corridors and the room I had certainly was a bit of a bummer. For a 5 star hotel you’d expect a bit more comfort and luxury. It was spacious, so that was great. Location is great, close to the central station but also close to the main touristy areas of the old town with lots of restaurants and shopping options. Overall nothing to complain about, but also a bit too expensive for what it is.

Nice hotel in a great location. 5-10 minute walk from the square and Old Town. Modern and clean. We paid for bed and breakfast but only opted for breakfast once. Good selection but some of the hot selection was warm at best and wasn't our usual choice. There are plenty of places a five minute walk away which offer fresh breakfast for 250-350 Czech Krona so we did this instead.

Room is not super clean. The bed sheet is not clean. The floor carpet is very old and dirty. Need to change to a new one soon. The cleaner just stare at us when we say hello to her in the morning. I am wondering if it is normal since we encountered many rude and racism behavior in Prague. The breakfast is the same everyday, the waitresses looks cold and unfriendly. The only good thing is the water is constantly hot and water pressure is good. Not the cheapest hotel either. A distance from the old town too.

Everything was amazing!!! Room really clean and food delicious. Yasmine (the receptionist) was really nice and always ready to help us. The hotel is in a very good point to go everywhere. We had an amazing experience at the sauna too. What to say? Thanks for everything!! And when we will come to Praha we will stay at Grandium again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Enjoyed our stay. The room is quiet, clean and tidy. No issues, staff helpful and hardworking. Also, plenty of fresh produce to choose from at Breakfast, which is served from 06:30 - 10:30

Just a quick visit Hotel very near the centre. Car parking is available. Large hotel, it was busy when I stayed Very bright and lots of mirrors. Breakfast was a good choice of hot and cold food. Rooms were clean and comfortable, I was upgraded to a deluxe room, however the view was shocking.

I've been there in July with my family. The hotel has a great staff. They did their best to make my son's birthday special. Angelina the Ukrainian waiter was super. I liked everything, also the internal shop. The only thing I didn't like are the pillows and the curtains (the light was blowing from the borders every morning. For this reasons, sleeping was not ideal, but not so different from any other hotel in Europe. Location is top! Continental breakfast was very good. Highly recommended.

Very good hotel with the best breakfast and the biggest I have ever seen. The hotel is in the best position possible near the centre and all the stores with 10 minutes walk from the old town centre. The rooms were quite small but I am ok with that, but the window opened very little and the room was extremely hot. The stuff was very helpful in everything.

Stayed for 3 nights and it could not have been better. The air-conditioning kept the room nice and cool during a hot weekend in Prague. Everything was cleaned to perfection daily. The breakfast was great - hot and cold savoury and sweet options. The staff were friendly and helpful. I hope to be lucky enough to stay here again if I return to Prague

Great hotel, very good service, rooms are big and clean and we loved it! But it’s definitely not a 5-star hotel as described. Breakfast is nice but I’m not sure it’s worth the extra price. Location is perfect. A minute walk from the main avenue and 2 minutes walk from the Airport Express bus station.

Had a 3 night stay here at the start of October 2021. The hotel is lovely and the rooms are spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable as well! The on site restaurant is great - had the best burger I have ever eaten! The waiter was brilliant as well, so professional and friendly! The buffet breakfast is good as well! All staff encountered were friendly and helpful and check in and out was easy and smooth! The location is excellent and in walking distance to all of the great sites Prague 1 has to offer. Definitely recommend this hotel and I would stay here again. Not close to the airport, so make sure you download Uber and book a car through that - at least half the price quoted from local taxis, and a very friendly service!

Paying for a 5* hotel we at least expected to be shown to our room. We stayed for 3 nights and our room wasn't cleaned once. On the plus side the location is perfect, the lobby is clean and feels grand. The hotel bar made great cocktails and fairly priced. Overall happy with our stay.

  • 3/5 Sherry T. 2 years ago on Google
The room and facilities were good. Everything was clean and the room was serviced each day. There is a lot of variety at breakfast BUT it’s not a “standard” variety of breakfast food. There’s rice and grilled vegetables and potato wedges. Selection of sweets at breakfast was good but the hot food is very disappointing. Not much fruit selection and juice is artificial stuff. I would recommend the accommodation but dont pay extra for the breakfast. There are many nice local cafes with a delicious selection of quality food at better prices.

50% of the guests did not wear mouthmasks where they should. We mentioned it on 3 occasions to staff and reception. Nothing was done. The last reply we had was 'people are fed up, they do what they want'. We asked for a complaint form at the reception and they said they hadn't (I do not think this is legal). A big deception. It made us feel not at ease...we never had the feeling staying at a 5 star hotel. All my life i have been traveling and staying in good hotels. I never experienced anything similar. I am thinking fining a formal complaint.

Had a great time in Prague, at least in Hotel Grandium. Everything was as expected for an 4 star hotel, the extra plus is where it's located, you have just 2 min to walk to the center but got no problem to sleep with open window at night.

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a hotel. They compare countless booking web sites and typically will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This resort is one of the most well known in this area. I have been coming here for a very long time. If you stay for a few nights you for sure will love it I'm sure! One of the best hotels I have been to. Located in the center, on a street parallel to the main street. The staff is unmatched! Large and luxurious rooms. The room is cleaned every day. I really have no words. Highly recommend

Very nice hotel. The reception gave us good tips for our visit. Room with a lot of space and minibar full. Cleaning done everyday. We also enjoyed the spa and was excellent! Breakfast time was an adventure (a lot of people and self service) but at list unlimited food and drinks. Very disappointed about the noodles restaurant. The hotel is really nice with a lot of staff. as written everywhere the restaurant closed at 11pm and it is not true. We wanted to eat at 10.15pm last night and clearly we were not welcome. Two waitresses very busy organising the next day breakfast. We left after a long time waiting (no one came...) two other couples in the same situation also went out without eating!!!

Amazing place to stay! We spent 4 days in this beautiful hotel and we had a great time there! Super friendly and helpful staff, rooms are spotless clean and food in restaurant is amazing! Veal cheeks in sauce is delicious! I highly recommend this place and will come back again for sure!

Very nice hotel. The staff was very polite and kind. Small but comfortable room. One thing which was unacceptable is the the view. Very claustrofobic. Lunch was ok but breakfasts was served in very small area and the line to the coffee machine was awful. The hotel is in very good location - Walking distance to the old town.

We had an amazing stay at grandium hotel. It was only a six min walk from the train station and 3 min from the centre. The staff was very kind and patience. We received a warm welcome and a warm goodbye. The rooms where very luxe and clean. We also got an amazing massage at the hotel for a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel!

Slept well. Elevator broke down for 4th floor room, it can happen so no problem with that. Well located to access the center. Queue for breakfast, impossible to say in how long approximately there will be place for 2 people, not possible to be refunded because we had a train to take at the end of the morning so without information on the delays it would have been more than correct. When you sell and offer a service, either you manage to provide it, or you reimburse it. Note that we were offered to make a lunch box but it is not the same service to eat in a restaurant in the hotel or to make a take away as in a camping.

Room was a bit smaller than i expected, and the rug wasnt perfectly clean (but really, far away from being called as "dirty", no worries), but still big enough or our family of 3. The service is really friendly and helpful- they really deserve a medal. Lobby is stunning, the whole hotel is really pretty. For breakfast we had same food to choose from everyday, but was rich enough to eat something else every day (we stayed for 3 nights) and vary from fat meat through sweet pancakes and cereals to fresh fruits and vegetables. I really, really enjoyed the stay. I reccomend this place with my whole heart and for sure for my next trip to Prague ill stay there.

This was a fine stay until the last night I decided to have a nice night in and order room service and then get a massage. I ordered the pad Thai and then went to bed around 1130. I woke up at 0100 to me having to run to the bathroom projectile vomiting. This continued until 8am. I was only throwing up the food from room service. I called the desk around 0600am asking for medicine and they said they had none. I then called again to extend my stay because I couldn’t move out of bed. They let me extend it for 10 euro an hour. I really had no choice because I could barely move or function. My body hurt so much. I went to the desk at 11am on Sunday to get my new card and hurried back to my room because I still felt so sick. At 1500 on Sunday I went to check out and explain what happened. The lady at the front desk was so so mean. She said I sounded suspicious and why didn’t I bring this up when it was happening and I explained because I was throwing up and felt awful. She talked to the main manager who was just eyeing me down the whole time both talking very rude. She came back and once again said she thought I was lying since I didn’t bring this up sooner. I asked for my bill and said that’s it I’m leaving. I highly recommend staying anywhere else but here. Not worth the price

The location and the room is great. We wanted get a drink at the hotel bar but the bartender working must have been having a bad day. When we walked in and asked for a table he gave us attitude saying to seat ourselves. After we found a table and sat down we waited for him to bring us a menu or ask for our order. He just stood behind the bar looking at us. So I walked up to the bar and asked for a menu. The service was so bad we just walked out without ordering anything. Also, I had an early flight so we checked out at 4:30 am and they said they couldnt check the room to see if we ate or dank anythi g from the room bar. They said that would check later this afternoon and charge the credit charge they had on file if there were any issue. I was in a rush so I let this slide, but I stayed at lots of hotels around the world and this has never happened. Be aware.

Had a 3 night stay here and had a pleasant stay. Rooms were very clean and spacious enough for the two of us to work. Staff were very friendly and helpful in pointing out where to get some food late at night when we arrived. Didn't like the fact that they had an atm which scammed us with a very high exchange rate and transaction fee. We were later advised by our local walking tour to avoid these ATM's for the exact reasons
