The rooms are clean and thats it. The staff is rude. The food is disgusting and the breakfast are mostly leftovers from the night before. Its better to buy your own food. There is no water in the building and the vending machines are not working. So you have to drink the bathrooms water. (also no water in fridge). At nights, all the lights goes off to save electricity (which is understandable) but i have to find my way to my room in the completely darkness.

I don’t know where to start. 1) Room Disgusting. There were yellow and white stains on the bedsheets. Mould in the shower. Everywhere was some kind of small insect. Beds were hard and smelled horrible. Carpet was dirty with stains and smelled like pee, just disgusting. All furniture was scratched and used. The AC wasn’t working. We had to pay extra for the wellness although I was told it would come free with the room. 2) Staff The staff doesn’t speak English and was very arrogant. I asked someone for some milk and she told me they don’t have it when I could see it right behind her. They were using their phones all the time and didn’t pay attention to us. Only students cared for the customers. 3) Food Breakfast consisted of leftovers from dinner. I found a bug in my food and hair in the jam. Muffins were dry, pancakes uncooked, bread stale, beans hard and uncooked, ham and cheese smelled weird. Water was served warm, the glass was dirty along with all the dishes and silverware. 4) Location It’s convenient that it’s near the city centre but the surroundings are disgusting and metro is way too far. Homeless people “live” all around the building. If I could give zero stars I would because they don’t deserve even the one.

Dirt, dirt, dirt! This is how my room looked immediately upon entry.🤢 There was dirt under the bed, looks like they didn't have time to clean it. Door handle on bathroom door as well! I didn't know a fridge could be so disgusting inside. 🤢🐀 This is not what I expected from a 4 star hotel. I do not recommend.

We came here for educational purposes. This hotel is the worst at its services 1) hallways are too dark and the lights keep turning off every 1 min 2) receptionist was very rude with us (we are underaged) and yelled at us saying “it’s not my job” like another client said. 3) food was awful. Cheap. Smelt awfully. 4) pillows are very flat. Not comfortable at all 5) some of my friends found left overs in their balcony. Poor room service. 6) The location of the hotel is very bad. There’s fog all around and makes it a scary place… I expected more…

Stayed there last week. Very crowded on arrival, massive old communist hotel. Rooms clean but basic. Breakfast was quite poor, all the basics were there but poor quality. Quite far out of town but easy bus connection to the nearest metro, do you can be in town in 20 minutes. As it says in the description, low key lodging, don’t expect too much.

Everything about this hotel feels old. When the weather's cold the carpet feels really damp. Elevator is really small and not modern-sized.

It is inconceivable that such hotels still exist in the 21st century. Rooms from the communist era, food of despicable quality (especially breakfast), crumbling beds, stained linens and bedspreads, a facility full of dust. It needs renovation and that's it.

Well... Arrived with a tour group from Germany, we were actually looking forward to a friendly hotel, but everything turned out differently than we had hoped! the hotel is the purest disaster! the staff are aggressive, friends were scolded and hit by the hotel staff! Service = -10 Points , quality = -10 Points, location = -10 Points, friendliness = -10 Points, cleanliness = -10 Points !!!! Stay away from this hotel, it is the hell on earth !

xcellent hotel. Superb facilities. Whenever, we visit islamabad we stay here. Very efficient and courteous staff. The complimentary buffet breakfast is to vouch for. Also the free upgrades that we very often get. Last year when we visited in Dec the standard had deteriorated. But now they have bounced back. Undeniably one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Keep it up guys. My favourite hotel anywhere in the world. Can't even think of staying anywhere else in Islamabad

Genuinely one of the worst hotels I’ve ever been to. Was on a tour and arrived at around 9 pm. The inside was almost completely dark save for the reception desks. All facilities were closed and just really creepy, especially at night in a foreign country. I was lucky enough to have a tour guide who led us to our rooms, but the entire way we had to rely on phone flashlights. The elevators are so old that they don’t have sensors and multiple people almost got utterly wrecked by those doors. There were many hallways with little signage such that I probably would’ve been lost if not for our tour guide. Prague in summer is expectedly quite hot, a fact I was fully prepared to deal with. HOWEVER, the rooms have no air conditioning nor any fans. The window was already open when we got to the room, likely kept open by previous guests, but it meant that there were already dozens of bugs swarming all the lights. I shared the room with one other person and we both got basically no sleep due to the combination of the heat and the bugs crawling on the ceilings. Breakfast had a large selection of food, though none of it was good and we have reason to believe that most of them were leftovers from previous days. The lack of sleep only made my appetite that much worse. I never wish to return here again. The money saved from this hotel are not worth your mental health nor your sanity.

I would recommend this hotel. The room was well equipped, the only thing is that the hair dryer does not work well, so I would advise you to bring your hair dryer. The breakfast is excellent and very varied.

This experience was bad. Breakfasts are extremely low quality. Lot of different leftovers - sometimes from last day, its really bad. Lunches also - potato salat was the worst one I ever tasted. Rooms are old, but atleast clean. So thats probably decent part - if you are not paying more than 1,5k for it. If you for some reason end up here, there's bistro above hotel like 4m by walk, go there for food instead. It's nothing special, but cheaper and much better than anything on the hotel. Good luck! 🍀

This was probably the worst hotel I have stayed in. It was worse than a 3-star hotel. There was only one staff member at 11pm and it was the receptionist who was not friendly. The keys she gave did not open the door and we needed to go back down. She gave keys to another similar room but they did not open the door as well. We needed to get down the 2nd time. Afterwards she gave keys to a different building saying as if “It is a better room, for the inconvenience caused”. However the new room looked just like what we originally booked. The halls were dark, there was unpleasant smell everywhere. The room was very old. The bed was utterly uncomfortable, there were two mattresses on the bed and they kept separating from each other. There were no robes and slippers. The hair dryer was not working. There were no towels in the second bathroom. No water, coffee, tea, kettle in the room. Do not recommend at all. There was a motel we stayed in once, and it was way better than this “4-star hotel”.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed. At the beginning of May 2019 I went there with a business group of around 40 people for a 3 nights stay. It took almost 2 hours until everybody got their rooms because the hotel did not find our reservation in their system and told us to leave. Repeatedly. Although the reservation was there and it was fully paid. The moved us between their 2 Receptions twice, with all our luggage. In the end they found the reservation and gave us the rooms... The first 2 nights we had no heating although we repeatedly ask for it - the hotel said they can't do anything about it because they are related to the public heating system which was closed that time of the year (but in the third night we had heating...). At the end we were fined for stopping the bus for 2 minutes in a rainy morning to collect the group from a different entrace that they did not use for groups - all of our rooms were in that area of the hotel and there was no rule written about NOT stopping the bus there(they had many rules written regarding the parking and the bus, but not that one as I was very attentive for following all the rules). I noticed many other guides arguing with the Reception for different things so I am sure that not only our group was badly treated.

This hotel is like a push-up bra, looks great when you first see it but once as you get to the room it’s nothing but disappointment. Over charged the hell out of us, the free breakfast looks like it has the same food from 20 years ago, staff was rude and all the accommodations they claim to have are closed 99% of the time. Just sleep outside if your choices are this hotel or the streets honestly.

It is a very bad place and I do not recommend spending the holiday here. When we asked for help from the reception, they were very rude and shouted at us. I will open a case against them. They could have spoken to us kindly, but they are very bad.

Some years past I visited Prague and stayed at the Top Hotel. I am considering visiting Prague again for business and without hesitation will be booking at this hotel again. I found the staff very helpful in directing me to the most interesting venues in the city. I also liked my accommodation which was spacious and clean. The surrounding gardens were a pleasure to walk about in. The food in the restaurants was acceptable but not the best. I can recommend this hotel to other travellers to Prague.

I checked in four hours ago. I have a three night stay, but I doubt I will last that long. Staff are rude, receptionist ignored me for five minutes and then was rude. Bar staff at 'the lobby bar' was rude after I commented on the fact he overcharged me for a beer with more foam than beer and has just walked over to make his point again. Room is large but needs a refurb, not sure what some of the stains on the carpet and net curtains are.... Nothing is open inside except the tacky looking souvenir shop. It's trying to be a tacky Vegas, and it's succeeding. Avoid at all costs. If I am surprised in the morning I'll amend my rating, but don't hold your breath! Addition 1. Ok, it got better and worse. Better: I understand why the staff are a little curt, they are very undermanned. I have, so far, seen three members of staff. Worse: to go to my room I needed a torch, none of the lights were on, or worked with the switches. I think the issue with the place is just that they are trying to save money.

The elevators get stuck. The hotel is old and the food is bad. The personell is friendly but English is difficult. 4 out of 5 restaurants are closed and the Wellnessarea is a joke. It reaks of chlorine in the Hall way and the carpets are coming of the floor. Most fountains do not work and there are many cosmetical flaws in the Hotels Hallways and on its walls. To keep it short: This Hotel is a joke the food is bad and all their advertisments are from several years ago. Most things are broken and there is no beauty left. Do not go there. 1/10 would not recommend.

We came here as a class for our school trip, and we all like it. The ambiance is good. There’s a lot of things that you can do. The foods are also good it’s like 4 over 5 (4/5). The rooms were also good, but the only problem is it’s far from the center you have to take the bus and train. But above top hotel is a good place to stay. ❤️

The perfect place from which to explore Helsinki Very comfortable and warm room. Plenty of electric sockets to charge my devices and work with my laptop. Great TV and really excellent hot shower, so easy to use. Friendly staff and fantastic breakfasts. I love the Karelian pies. The hotel is very central within easy reach of shops, eating places and metro, trams, buses and the Central Station. I will certainly be back."

  • 2/5 Marc L. 4 months ago on Google
A perfectly mediocre room and stay. Not close to downtown. Bus and metro are not close by. Rooms and decor are outdated and the only nice thing I can say is that the staff are doing their best. Breakfast is a buffet style with plenty of options but dinner was not always available. I recommend asking the front desk for help with food delivery or make plans to eat out. If you just need a basic place to stay and have your own transportation, then this is the spot.

I had a bad experience with this hotel. I stayed there because of a convention which I attended was held there but I do regret not going to another hotel in the vicinity. Pro: + the room was spacious + The architecture has an interesting flair Con: - there was no automatic light in the hallway. I arrived at night and had to find my room withy phone flashlight - the hallway was filthy (see picture) - the rooms were very noisy. I kept waking up at night from coughing and snoring sounds from other rooms - the breakfast selection was sub-standard and the taste was blant - the service at the hotel bar was horrible. Rude and incredibly slow - the food and drink station at the convention hall did not accept euro nor card - room service only cleaned very superficial and didn't clean the bathroom at all it seemed - the bed was not uncomfortable per se, but incredible small (I'm 1.93 m ) - and my personal highlight: the shampoo ran out on the first night. I went to the reception at around noon and asked for it to be replaced. They said they will take care of it. I went to my room after a full day at the convention only to see the shampoo was not replaced. I went to the reception, they called roomservice and then said to me that they are sorry, bit roomservice has left already, they cannot so anything right now. And then they told me, that there is a store around the corner, I can go there and buy some shampoo. This audacity baffled me so much I urge everybody to book another hotel, even when they will spent all day in this hotels convention centre!

We did not realize that you have to pay extra to use the swimming pool even though it's part of the hotel.liggts on the corridors are off so if you walk to your room you have to manually keep switching it on.internet connection was poor and TV channels only working 5 of the 20!after complaining we were told that nothing can be done about it.definatelly not a 4star hotel!!!!

No care given when we told them about the crack in the wall allowing cold draught through Instead of changing our room they have refused saying there's nothing wrong, made me go and look at the job with a security guard who there was a language barrier with so very difficult. Whoever the manager working on Christmas Eve is needs sacking 0 customer service Shoddy rooms Rude staff Stained beds Dark halls Dirty carpet Dirty entrance Would like full refund Dirty gaudy hovel of a shed

Huge hotel with grand lobby and hallways on the ground floor. Breakfast was included and had many to choose from. The food quality could be improved. The room and the bathroom inside are big and are kept clean. The carpet is a little worn-out. The elevators are tiny, got stuck in one of them, but the serviceman came to help and got us out promptly.

Do yourself a favour, do not stay at this hotel. Worst hotel ever. I am in chock. Asked for king size bed, got à single bed. The mattress is so hard, I am contemplating sleeping on the floor. Flattest pillow. There is no lights in the hallways, just pitch black. Hotel fool extremely noisy, full of kids sports teams. Kids running around and screaming all day and all night. Food is horrible, and yes, as mentioned by other clients, breakfast is leftovers from dinner of the day before. Thought about getting drunk to forget this nightmare, but even the wine is not drinkable.

I was in Prague 5 times and this time was terrible. I don’t need somebody to love me, but if you run the hotel you should be at least nice to people who’s leave money on your place. The customer service was terrible. The design of the hotel is from 89’ and the service also. I can’t find any positive thing to be honest. I never been in place like this. Choose another hotel people if you want to spend nice time in Prague, because the Top Hotel is the bottom of the bottom.

It must have been awesome 30-40 years ago. There are different sections B C E at least, the building is huge. As I compiled the E is the best and B is the worst in terms of level and condition. We had the joy of the opportunity to visit section E and C. E being the "superior" category. In C the air conditioning was not working in July 2023. In E it did, but don't expect to be life changing :). In general the hotel is not terrible, but very old, kind of renewed partially, but old and socialist style. So compare the price if this is very good, than it's possible to stay here 1-2 days.

Extremely beautiful hotel BUT unfortunately most of the staff's attitude is not customer orientated. The staff has zero communication skills including the hotel manager herself. The reception didn't have enough workers so I had to queue 15 min to check in. The security yelled at us and embarrassed us infront of everyone because we parked accidentally in the VIP parking but didn't want to help us to find the customer parking. He was shockingly aggressive for no reason. Especially the Wellness section is a disappointment; the gym is like from the Soviet Union and so was the worker who treated us like a Soviet gymnastics teacher or prison guard (idk, maybe some customers like it?). Breakfast was terrible consisting mainly of dry bread and bad dry cakes. The hotel didn't apologize the bad treatment in any way. Terrible experience, can't recommend unless you like Soviet stuff. :)

Excellent triple rooms which are actually suites. Good selection for breakfast though buffet is rather spread out. Would have given five stars had it not been for poorly lit rooms and non functioning table lamps

  • 5/5 Elek I. 7 months ago on Google
The hotel is very pleasant, and the staff is kind. In my opinion, the negative comments are not true anymore. The breakfast and dinner are abundant. There is one downside, but it's not a reason for me to give 4 stars: the colleague working at the bar seems experienced, but a more customer-oriented approach would attract more people.

On the plus side, the rooms are large, the Executive breakfast was great, the room cleaning seemed thorough and the conference facilities are prolific. If you are a sports team or a local wanting to bring a large group for meetings or a conference it should be perfect. For an international traveller, not so good. My air conditioning did not work for the duration of my 10 day stay (in spite of reporting the fault) and some of our conference and meeting rooms had no or intermittent air conditioning. They only have 20 irons for over 800 rooms so you may experience delays in doing your ironing! The staff were efficient but not very friendly (except for the very capable students and catering staff who looked after our conference catering). The hotel is at least 15 minutes from the centre of Prague so it was difficult to do any sightseeing or use the city restaurants during our stay.

It looks like i haven't been in the same hotel like other people here. Was there in January, and was pleasantly surprised! Hotel itself is not the prettiest outside, but with very nice hallways and receptions. But the room was literary revelation! Enormous, remarkably clean, including huge bathroom, with all new furniture, bar, flat TV, night lamps... My impression was more than good with the accommodation. Staff were not super-pleasant, but they were not rude at all. they were just OK. Meals could be better, but i have visited many hotels with more stars and better reputation, but with much worse food. At least, Top hotel offered enough food, and it was eatable, if not even delicious! Finally, for the money I've paid for this arrangement, Top hotel is the place I would recommend to all!

The behavior of the staff is not friendly 🤦🏻‍♀️ I arrived at the hotel one hour before the delivery time of the room and although I informed them, they did not deliver the room key to me and kept all the passengers in the lobby until two o'clock in the afternoon and suddenly a long line for Room key delivery was arranged. This was the first time I saw such a strange event. What was worse was that after waiting and handing over the room key, when I got to the room, the room was not ready for delivery and the staff was cleaning the room and I had to wait outside the room for them to clean the room. Many facilities are not available. Quality of Room is poorly but breakfast is acceptable.

The owner schould bring more people, that will work in hotel. There was only one " poor" women ,who made check-/-out, was responsible for all the questions and problems of the guests and she was really damn tired. Another person on the reception is needed during the day. The rooms were middle sized, but according to the price. Housecleaning- personal was nice, but also tired, cause only one person was working on the huge and long floor. The breakfast was good, but for the muslims( like us) there was nothing else except "Späk, pig svinina" mortadela. But others was good : enough salads, joghurts, dreanks, sweets, vegetables and fruits, cheese etc. Lokation ist a little bit far away from the Prag . But with a car only 25 Minutes to downtown. Parking near hotel must be payed.

Used to work here as a waiter for a couple of times. Has seen everything from the inside and I can say it's much worse than what regular visitors can see. The food is cooked in insanitary conditions, the kitchen equipment is outdated and dirty. The furniture is damaged, the carpets look like they haven't been cleaned since the USSR collapse. The hotel could've been TOP 50 years ago but those times have passed. The hotel managers are unprofessional, they've hired 4 waiters for a breakfast where were 900 guests. They ask for money from refugees though it's said they can stay for free. Can't say anything about rooms, but since everything's so bad I wouldn't say the rooms are much better. So if you want to feel the spirit of the soviet era, the hotel is for you, but be prepared for a food poisoning

We stayed here from 14th to 24th May. Worst hotel I have been in years. Please note; this is NOT a 4 star hotel. This is at best a 2 star hotel and here is why: 1) Hallways dark, and lights off everywhere. We had to ask receptionist 5 times to turn on the light in the lounge area so we can eat food around 9pm. Last day she even said its not her job and we had to eat in the dark. 2) Nothing works and everything is closed. All restaurants except 1 super mediocre one are closed. Bowling ally broken. Japanese garden pond empty. 3) Food is utter trash. I paid for breakfast (included in price) and stopped taking it after 3rd day since it made me sick. Sausages tasted like death. Eggs tasted like putrid decomposition. Only viable options were cereal due to all the unnatural preservatives keeping this food healthier than the old stale bread and toxic cheese. 4) Rooms are not cleaned at all. Towels are only changed sporadically and there were days when the room cleaning service was not available. When we did not know about this and asked for a towel, they did NOT provide one. 5) Beds are uncomfortable, no additional pillows available. The ones provided are flatter than my folded boxer shorts. 6) Everything is dated and looks like something out of 1980s. Lift rattles when going up. One of them stopped working on last day. Hallways super dark and only turn on when you click the switch (no automatic lights). 7) Bath is unsafe to get into, very high and slippery. 8) No bar open ever, drinks from reception constantly bought out and are expensive. I would never return to this hotel even if I had a congress or event. I would rather always eat food bought with a courier then risk my health here. The hotel is as dark and empty as the receptionist. I felt safer watching the shining. Hope everyone is made aware by this review at rhe gravity of this hotel.
