For the US traveler if you're expecting a Hilton or Marriott type of experience based on the room price and pictures. Think again and keep looking. It's more of an old Holiday Inn standard. The pictures are not current. Trust me. The hotel is old and tired in general. In need of a major remod in order to deserve to be a Novotel (been to others) For the European traveler. If you're expecting a Novotel experience, think of this Novotel as a tired old Ibis. So in other words just get the Ibis. Don't pay extra for the Novotel experience as you wont get it here.

We had a mixed time at this hotel. All in all, it was more positive than negative and we would consider staying there again. Here are some individual points worth mentioning: Pluses: - Location - Quiet, could not hear other guests or elevator - Pretty clean, furniture in reasonable condition. - Comfy bed (very comfy in fact) - Pool and fitness room on premises - Kids’ play area in the lobby is well stocked with toys for lots of ages and there is opportunity to meet and play with other children staying at the hotel. Some parents might find it nice that this area is RIGHT next to the bar, which is very calm at all the times we were there. Minuses: - The room was too hot for our tastes, and we weren’t able to control the temperature, which contributed to less-than-ideal sleep. - The baby bed was pretty saggy in the middle, we think our kid found it uncomfortable. - As some other reviewers mentioned, the pool is heated but not really warm enough for small kids. - The pool area could use a deep clean. - Although the bed was very comfortable, the pillows were pretty awful. - Our room was tidied every day, but not vacuumed, or not very well.

My recent stay at Novotel was an absolute delight. The hotel's location is perfect, with easy access to the city's main attractions. The room we stayed in was comfortable and well-equipped. The staff were welcoming and provided excellent service throughout our stay. The highlight of our stay was the hotel's pool. It's not often you find a hotel with such a lovely pool in the heart of a city. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring Prague. The breakfast buffet was diverse, with a wide range of options to choose from. In summary, Novotel Prague is a fantastic hotel for a stay in the city. The combination of its convenient location, excellent service, and the added bonus of a pool made our visit truly memorable. We will definitely return on our next trip to Prague.

Clean rooms and good bathtub. Good breakfast but not like in other Novotel hotels that i usually stay so i was little bit disappointed. All interior, breakfast and everything in the hotel is mor Ibis than Novotel so this is really disappointing because if i wanted to choose Ibis i would do it. Service doesn’t exist. When you enter hotel nobody tells you hi or check who is coming to hotel.

A 4* Hotel without Shampoo, I don't know... Friendliness o.k The rooms won't get cleaned automatically... But in general low prices. Shouldn't name it Novotel and it is definitiv not a 4* Hotel!

    1. Dirty and uncleaned room when I checked in , multiple hairs found all over the bed sheets , dirty one, only one bed sheet above mattress, so you can see clearly the mattress which leads to hygiene issue after room host so many people on a daily basis, see photos. 2. sofa bed still be unfolded after I told receptionist I didn’t request sofa bed , he said will have someone to fold it , I return after dinner in 3 hours , still unfolded . 3. Room’s small and smelly , don’t expect it like a standard Novotel hotel. 4. Phone is unable to call out to reception, I had to run down to get them , light bulb is broken , no one changed it. 5. No security at night , lobby’s dirt and broken. A much downgraded 4 stars hotel, certainly will never return.

A luxury hotel? No, but worth it for the price. Located near many cafes, restaurants, and a reasonable walk to Old Town, Novotel Praha Wenceslas Square is a worthy spot. A bit outdated, the rooms were adequate and come with a safe, a little fridge, a desk, and enough storage to put away your things. There's a gym, pool, and sauna that's open early and closes late. If you pay, there's breakfast.

The service was very good, the reception area, especially Petra, she was kind and jolly to the guests. And the girl at the Bar, who made my sister a Bailey Coffee ☕ was SUPER Nice and she speaks very good English! She was so sweet! Breakfast table is great, A lot of choices 🥪 Height Friendly pool. Great Sauna but they did not put a sauna bucket and spoon, so we just used our water bottle to put water onto the stones. Towels, body washes and shampoo were provided. Housekeeping was done well to our friends room, but ours was not as clean as theirs. They don't have Smart TV that offers netflix and YouTube.

We didn't actually stay in this hotel, we stayed at the ibis next door but used the amenities in the novotel as the two are connected. We were served a couple of times by the most wonderful lady at the bar, she was very kind towards us and made a great impression on both me and my boyfriend

The only nice thing I can say about this place is the staff - very kind, welcoming and helpful. Other than that, for this price - I’d highly recommend getting an apartment on Airbnb rather than staying at this hotel. The hotel itself starting from the elevator, going through the corridors, noisy air-con in the room and the overall decorations - look like from previous era. Hotel is described as “modern” - maybe it was, 10 or 20 years ago. AC in the room despite the fact of how loud it is, you also cant really manipulate with the temperature. Technically you can, set it up to max but still feel cold in there. Fridge - not working. Rooms equipment - missing very basic stuff. You will NOT find in there even such basic items as shoehorn or sewing kit. Same for bathroom - only shower gel and shampoo. Forget about cotton pads or buds. Their underground parking has really terrible ventilation system. After the check-out when few cars were waiting in line to get out of it, all you can smell is exhaust fumes in a really really bad way.

A really awesome hotel with amazing staff. Cleanliness is just superb. Small improvements could be not to allow dogs into the restaurant, keep vegetarian food separate so it's not contaminated plus warm the swimming pool temperature.

Nice quiet location to relax after a long day out in Prague. Lovely staff. Housekeeping was quite poor as we ran out of tissues and hand soap, and wasn't refilled. Other than that, I was highly impressed and would visit again!

I placed 5star review for this hotel because it is all worth it to stay here for its price range. affordable, very convenient since it is in the heart of the city, the service is superb, the is swimming pool and gym. the rooms are clean and spacious. 👍🏻👍🏻

I like Novotel in general but this one is one of my favorites! The hotel is sparkling clean, the staff is nice and the breakfast is full of choices, from sweets to salty food, and a chef that cooks scrambled eggs on the spot. Close to the subway and walking distance from the Museum and Wenceslas square. Recommend it, if you are in Prague!

We were there for 4 days end of June, in a mix between business and family trip. The hotel is well located, tranquile, the room (superior) had space enough for three people. Really good breakfast with a wide variety of products and some “live” cooked products as omelettes and eggs. But many times is people which makes the difference, we were lucky enough to be received by Petra. From that moment she was a constant support for the whole trip, from teaching us some Czech expressions to arrange the transport to the airtport, with a perfect mix between professional and personal skills, always nice and warm with us. Only complain was the swimming pool water temperature, too cold for my wife and son

Not good value for money. (Staff are nice) - room is old, it’s just a bigger ibis room, nothing else. Nothing like a 4 star hotel. - facilities are old… - the room card always don’t work after a day in my card holder. So you spent 15mins queuing at the reception and get it replaced!!! They told me it should not stay next to the phone or other cards. But tell me nowadays where else do you put that card? Time is changing, the Novotel hotel management is probably not… very disappointed, this is not about the hotel here but in general, a lot of Accor hotels i went (as a good member) it has the same issue. I’ll probably try to avoid Accor hotels in the future. - it is definitely not worth paying double the price compared to ibis next door and get just a bigger room and maybe a bit more facilities. - again the facilities are old, bed is not that comfy… Also, as a gold member you get two pieces of macron as welcome gift, no room upgrades, so there is no point of getting into gold level… so, anyway, I’ll try to avoid Accor in the future and go for other chains.

Very good hotel, very well located to visit Prague, with a swimming pool, a sauna and a gym. The room was very good, cleaned every day. The breakfast is very generous and good. The staff was really nice, especially Petra who has been outstanding with our Hockey group. We had a very good stay. See you next time!

Extremely welcoming staff members were greeting our group of 9 and very efficiently distributing our key cards. Room was big enough with a desk that you could extend and make more room to work on. I always prefer having bathroom and toilet separately and here it was the case. Comfortable bed to sleep and good variety of food for breakfast and lunch.

This hotel is more like 4 plus. Its easy to get to. Service was fast and friendly. Rooms were clean and tidy. Not massive but the mini fridge was a nice touch. Not the most modern though. Pool is also a nice touch. All included in the price. A few small bars close by and a pizza shop for late bites. Would recommend.

Good located, close to the tram and interesting turistic points. Family friendly? Maybe, we only spend one night there but was ok. Confortable bed to rest and a lot of options to eat or drink around. The only thing bad was that after 7 hours driving with 2 kids, our reservation has a mistake and the guy at the front desk was rude with our group. Then he tried to fix it but I don't think it's the deal a client needs at any time. The staff of the next day was so nice and kind.

The moment I arrived, I was completely shocked by the lobby because it was not suitable for a 4-star hotel at all, the reception behavior was not friendly at all, the room and hallway smelled bad, there was no room cleaning service and no towels and sheets, the pool and jacuzzi were very small. The bar was only open until 8 pm, and the only positive thing about the hotel was its relatively good breakfast, and overall my family and I were not at all satisfied with the hotel.

Comfortable hotel within walking distance (30 minutes) of the old town. Large and clean rooms. Staff professional. Nice indoor swimming pool, gym and sauna.

Don't take breakfast. Looks good on the picture but taste is lacking. Rest of hotel is a great stay with a pool to refresh.

  • 2/5 Leo V. 2 years ago on Google
Rooms are okay. Shower in the bath almost dangerous to get out. Shower head in need of replacement. Not cleaning the rooms will be a significant saving for Novotel, however this is not reflected in prices. No bar facilities after 8 o'clock at night which is unacceptable.

I loved the place. It wasn’t only me but kids also. It was good that they made students from local Secondary schools to do work experience there. Open buffet was so rich in content, we did not need to buy any lunch for three days. 😊

Excellent location, seamless transportation links, room size good and what adds the most value is the staff professionalism and warmth. Our flight got cancelled on day 1 and on requesting to the hotel staff - they were able to allow us to check in the next day and explain the process in a very patient manner. Special shout to the super stars at the front desk - Petra, Katerina, Mila :) We would definitely come back again !! Thank you so much

We stayed here for a few nights and found the location very central. The customer service was great and I would recommend you spend the extra money and opt in for breakfast. The breakfast buffet was exceptional. There was a lot of everything and constantly replenished by the staff. I would stay here again.

Well, I had a mixed feelings. We came late and it was very difficult to find any parking lot in the underground garage. You definitely need to extend parking availability. Secondly, we ordered room for few adults and kid, but the room was not properly prepared. So we were disappointed, but the next day the service on reception was a lot more customer oriented. Also, the vegetables during the breakfast were far away from expectations. The fitness center was relatively small, although the swimming pool is OK, but requires renovation. All in all, it was OK but below my expectations.

Didn't stay here so can't comment on the rooms or the price however staying next door and we can use their facilities and bar. Both very good nice and big for the size of the hotel. Distanced nicely from the main astro clock tower square 10-15 mins walk give or take. Nice more local places to eat with much more reasonable prices.

Perfect hotel for your stay in Prague. I spent 3 nights in this beautiful hotel. It's fantastic location - within walking distance to all the visiting sites made the overall stay in the city unforgettable. the surroundings of the hotel from the begging enhances the experience of the atmosphere of the city. The room was very spacious and well equipped. The shower was perfect. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic with all standard hotel’s food and additionally local specialities. Swimming pool, interior gardens and view from the balcony made the stay really pleasurable. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. I score the hotel 10 on 10. Thank you!

Great location - right by the metro line and tram line. Loved the hotel itself as its modern with great amenities. The breakfast was really nice as well with lots of options. The bathroom was quite spacious as well! The only problem I had (which is why I rated them 4 instead of full 5 star) - is the AC system is centrally controlled and they had set it to heat mode. I am comfortable sleeping in the cold (no matter what the weather is) - I had to unfortunately open the windows and sleep (which led to smoke from people smoking downstairs bothering me). The front desk was kind enough to offer a room on a higher floor to me, but I declined since moving would have been a hassle. Highly recommended hotel for sure!

We had a wonderful welcome at this hotel. The reception team - especially Petra - went way above and beyond to help make our stay as comfortable and easy as possible. From the moment we first arrived we felt welcomed and nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed using the swimming pool (towels and lockers were provided), our room was comfortable (note - if you are a party of 5 you will have a room for 4 as this is the largest room they do) and the breakfast selection was great (salad, fruit, cooked items/pancakes, bakery, juices, and of course coffee - only standard filter though so no latte/cappuccino). We were able to store our luggage and use the facilities after checking out which was wonderful as the weather was awful and we had a late train. Thank you Novotel and an extra special thank you to Petra!

Novotel is consistently our top choice when traveling with kids. It consistently offers an optimal experience with very good breakfast options, well-maintained and tidy rooms, and generally excellent hospitality, although the level may vary depending on the country. If you're traveling with children, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

We had an excellent stay with my family at Novotel at Praha last week. It was my birthday and we were delighted to find a bottle of Champagne and Cake when we returned to the room. It was thoughtful and made our visit memorable. I thank Michal and the entire team in creating a wonderful experience for us.
