If you go in expecting a 5 star hotel, prepare to be disappointed. If you go in expecting a 4 star hotel, you’ll be fine. While this hotel has 5 stars apparently, it doesn’t really live up to that standard. Rooms (we booked a deluxe room) and hallways are showing their age and some basic things are missing (e.g. tissues in the bathroom). Breakfast is also not a 5 star standard. We waited for close to 30 minutes to check in after arriving late on a Friday night - so not exactly the busiest time. Staff were very friendly and proactive, absolutely no fault here. The hotel was also priced closer to 4 stars than to 5, which is fair. I believe it would do the hotel good to start marketing itself as a 4 star hotel to avoid not meeting expectations. To end on a positive note, the hotel seems to place an emphasis on cleanliness and hygiene as rooms were “sealed” after being cleaned and disinfected and the TV remote was also placed in a bag and disinfected, for example. The location was also great, almost all sights are in walking distance and despite the busy street, rooms aren’t noisy. While I don’t think I’ll personally be returning, I could imagine recommending the hotel to someone while making clear that they should expect a 4 star hotel at 4 star prices.

Stayed here a year ago for 6 nights, very pleasant stay, close to old city, everything was sterilized in the room and at the dining room. The breakfast was little bit expensive , but you have around a lot of options fir breakfast, lunch and dinner plus supermarket. The only issue we had with room faced to backyard where every night some drunk young people were getting outside from the pub and made a lot of noise that we could hear from our4th floor.

Very nice location, close to sights but also shops. The staff was helpful and the meeting room had good acoustics. The room was clean, spacious, with a high ceiling, large bed and nice bathroom. The toiletries were of good quality but no slippers. Overall I would recommend.

The location of the hotel is within walking distance. It was easy enough to get from the airport to the hotel by public transport. The tram stops almost across from the hotel. The rooms are spacious and quiet. The service is great. Sachin at the frint desk is your man for everything. Impeccable customer service from Sachin.

Not a 5* hotel. Good location, nice old house - unfortunately all interiors are quite aged and are in need of renovation. No complimentary water, no coffee machine, no shower (only tub), fridge didn’t cool. Room was quite small, only one small chair, I expect this of towns like NYC or Tokyo but not a „5* hotel“ in Prague. Breakfast is alright, no meaningful beverages in the lobby. Before our stay in 2023, we stayed here in 2010 and we were used better, would not come back.

Best place to stay. We enjoyed everything.. so quiet and clean, and also very polite people and of course an amazing breakfast. I would love to stay there again. PS location couldn't be more suitable for us.. close enough and far enough from everything..

Perfect location, good breakfast with a lot of options and friendly staff. The hotel rooms are however outdated, only the bathroom is nice and spacious. To me it is not a 5star hotel (but maybe for Prague standard it is)

Wonderful rooms and soaps. Beds are cozy, and quiet, staff is helpful. Also held our bags until we went to airport after checkout. 5/5!

Nice clean hotel with walking distance of really most everything. I think it was about a 7 or 8 minute walk to old Town and to the Charles Bridge. A tram runs right in front of the hotel and if you take the 14 it gets you right to the castle. They do have a breakfast buffet for 20 euro/dollars. I didn't try it so I can't say too much about it. But yeah, for around $110 a night for 2 people and the easy access I'd recommend it.

Had top floor room, clean and spacious. Good location really. Our two nights were quiet which is a bonus for a city centre hotel. Didn’t get woken once.

Was a very good and clean place. Staff were friendly and always cleaned rooms. The room was spacious for one/two persons. Would recommend to others as well as stay here again when returning to Prague.

Perfect hotel: strategic location (near every main place to see), delicious breakfast (wide range of food offer), very kind and pleasant staff (they suggested us tours and restaurant) and room perfectly clean. Our experience in Prague has been lovely also thank to this hotel! PS: I suggest to have dinner in “Kozlovna U Paukerta” restaurant, which is near the hotel.

I can really recommend this hotel. My room was on the 4th floor, very modern and very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is very close to all attractions, such as City Hall and Charles Bridge. I particularly liked the breakfast. It was simply gigantic. There were always plenty of places available. I would choose this hotel again and again. Thanks for the great service.

So happy we found this place! Firstly and most importantly Sachin, who works there, is one of the nicest and helpful people we have ever met on our travels. We had a very last minute booking and he made everything so simple and pleasant. He is an absolute treasure. The rooms are very large and have everything you need. Our room was very quiet given we were in a busy part of town. It’s situated so close to old town and the river, you can walk everywhere. I will definitely be back. Thank you Sachin 😊

The stuff are very polite, room is clean and I love the bathtub. The location is nice, 7 minutes to get Kafka's head and not so far from Karluv Bridge.

Schönes Hotel, sehr zentral gelegen. Schönes Zimmer. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Frühstück. Angenehmer Frühstücksraum, kein Gedränge. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksangebot. Besonders gut: Die tollen Spiegeleier.

Historic hotel in a very usefull location, just in between Nove Mesto and Stare Mesto. Warm welcome and assistance from the at the front desk. Wide choice on the buffet served breakfast. No restaurant in the hotel. To improve: a better cafeteria at breakfast; a bar service; bathrobes in the bathroom; better maintenance in the room.

Jederzeit wieder!!!

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Prague. The breakfast was very good. Our room was quiet and super clean. Very nice interior design in the whole hotel. The staff was very friendly. We’re looking forward to our next stay in the Eurostar Thalia in Prague.

Very good hotel, in city centre. For €72 per night, room with 2 beds and bathroom with bath. Breakfast was also good. Friendly people are working here. Don’t put your roomcard by your phone, the chip is not going to work then anymore.

Positive: very big room (junior suite) with both shower and bathtub, very clean, very tasty breakfast and good location. Negative: noisy street and some building work was going on in front of the hotel which was very noisy some early mornings, staff did not advise people without masks to put them on during buffet, the bathtub was leaking, no bathrobes, almost no international channels and all the Chech ones could not be chosen in original language or with subtitles. All in all, happy compared to the offer they had but had I paid full price I would have been disappointed.

I had booked the hotel on their official website and paid for it by credit card in advance. However, on the day of arrival, I was not let in, because they were overbooked. I was offered a room at a 4-star hotel and a refund. Unfortunately, I never got the refund. The room of the ”4-star hotel” was loud and smelled so bad that I was not able to sleep at all. I had to pay for another hotel room to get out of this mess, and ended up staying at the Iron Gate (which was very good). I am still waiting for my refund from Eurostars, but even after several complaints they only offered a discount on my next stay, which of course is out of the question. I do think this kind of behaviour by Eurostars is fraudulent, but I do not have the time and money to launch criminal proceedings. So bitter review it is. Please do not book this hotel, and if you do, do not book on their own website, since then you will have no one else to complain to.

Pros: 1- staff is very friendly 2- you can visit a lot of places by going there by foot. 3- rooms are very clean Cons: 1- bad internet connection 2- Snacks bar close very early

The only luxury in the ‘deluxe room’ was the space of the bedroom. A lot of negative points: bathroom was very small, no toilet brush, no coffee machine, only one seat in such a huge room, electricity for opening velux does not work, very small television, airconditioning makes a lot of noise, a lot of noise at night in the corridor, check-in took almost 30 minutes because a lot of administration, no bathroom stuff as you find in other hotels, coffee machines in the breakfast room where showing two days after each other ‘’needs to be cleaned’’ and ‘’water filter needs to be changed’’, staff is not that friendly, except the lady by check-out.Of course she could not do anything more than telling us sorry. A compensation would be great. Welcome drink (even a bottle of water) would be nice by arrival late night. For us, it is a mystery how they got the 5 stars. Luckely, the breakfast was excellent and made at least something good.

Very nice staff, was very comfortable to ask questions and resolve those small issues I had. As an example: Air conditioner was malfunction so once I told about it , the issue was resolved in timely manner. Great food on breakfast.

The hotel is good if you need a good location to explore the city and afterwards a good night rest. However, the building has seen better days. Pros: +The hotel is well situated close to the Mustek station and a near by tram at the National Museum. Also, close to many points of interest! +The staff is friendly. +The breakfast is good and with a lot of options (fruits, eggs, pancakes, pastries, etc). + Free WiFi +Mini fridge/mini bar +Early (takeout) breakfast Cons: - The air-conditioning never got cold. - Not all the appliances were working properly or were slightly broken/lose (sink, toilet seat, 1 lamp not turning on) - Small tv screen with limited channels - The stair case does not give a 5 star impression

May not be a 5 star hotel that people generally expect. But I believe this is a 5 star because of it's heritage rather than its facilities. Stayed here for 7 nights with my entire batch of 67 students. Loved it. It has some amazing staff working in there, especially, the lady at the breakfast buffet and the gentleman at the reception with a ponytail. One should definitely book their stay here and the hotel rooms aren't too expensive and it's bang in the middle of Prague. Keep it up team!

Very good location in central Prague. Friendly staff, clean room. We never tried the breakfast as there are a lot of good alternatives around with a much better price. One thing the hotel miss to get a better pulse is a bar/cafe in the reception area.

Perfect location, close to my favourite places in Prague. We were able to check in at 8am, as they had rooms available. We appreciated that very much after a long travel sleepless night. The deluxe room was spacious and large bed very comfy. Nice bathroom. Just a pity you'll get just a small window and can't see much. That's why I would recommend it for a shorter stay, 1-2nights. The breakfast was okay, but if it wasn't included in the room price, we think it's not so worth it to buy it extra. Especially scrambled eggs, omelette and bacon weren't good. I wasn't happy with that plate. There were other options to choose from, not cooked things, so at least that was fine. The staff could act more professional, chambermaids don't say hello and the staff at the breakfast isn't very professional either, especially if you understand Czech you'll notice. The F&B manager has still some job to do, it's not a cheap hotel and you expect a certain niveau. Otherwise reception was perfect.

Just don't go there, save yourself a dissapointment.... The hotel is clean, rooms are big and in a good location, but there isn't a 5 star hotel feel - interior is dated, shower & sink leaking, staff is quite unprofessional. Overall staff is friendly but they do some crazy things - they had an issue with electricity which created issues with payments, so instead of waiting to see if my initial payment was processed as my bank advised, they decided to photocopy my credit card and block money on my card without my presence and without even telling me. As a result my bank is replacing my card. Also, I had booked the stay via booking and the moment I checked out the hotel marked my stay as a no show - meaning they can charge me for a no show despite the fact that I have paid for my stay and potentially avoid having a bad review. No idea how this is a 5 star hotel!

Excellent hotel, clean and tidy in a good location. We stayed in room 302, huge bed, huge bath and very quiet. Room cleaned every day. Muscat tube station is 300m away. There is also a tesco 200m away where fruit, vegetables, breads and breakfast pastries put the uk stores to shame and are much cheaper than the cafes.

Overall a great experience in the hotel. Very clean and the staff is very friendly, understanding and proactive. Form breakfast point of view, everything was fine. The room was never full when we ate there (been there at different hours each day and there was plenty of food all the time). Great location, in the city center and close to a tram station for farther distance travel. Wi-fi speeds were terrible. We preffered to use the mobile data instead of the Wi-Fi. You might be okay with just using maps to look for a restaurant, but for anything media-related it becomes unusable. Price-wise, as already mentioned in another comment, it is close to a four star hotel.

Nice spacious room, good location and clean. The Air conditioning doesn't work well at all. My room never got below 25c, pretty noisy as you can hear everything that's going on on the street

The bed , the quiet room excellent.... This would have been 5 stars if it weren’t for the extra service I requested. A simple one- reliable taxi to airport . The receptionist informed me that the cost will be 29 euro. I said fine. The driver (private company ,Pavel Novotny) took all the twists and turns and instead of 20 it took 40 min to airport. He was about to charge me 970 CZK instead of 780 CZK which still is above 30 euro. I did read that Prague taxi drivers are crooks but did not believe 5* hotel recommended one!!!

A good hotel in terms of value for money, great location (everything is in walking distance), friendly staff, comfortable beds, clean rooms. Not a 5-star hotel but a good hotel choice nevertheless.

We stayed here for three nights. It was perfect for my husband and I. The hotel is walking distance to the bridges. A few meters away from Charles Bridge. 10 min walk or so into the old town. Lots of lovely restaurants in all corners. Right in front of the hotel you can catch the tram 22 which is really scenic. Also the hotel is very close to the metro. We didn’t eat the breakfast because we thought €15 euros per person per day was a bit high. Beds, pillows, lightening, bathroom was just perfect! I definitely would stay here again.

I stayed here with my bf who booked the hotel, it was really nice and staff where lovely. My only issue is when they say put your belongings in the safe, defiantly do. I have a ring that I have had for four years wear it everyday. I took it off when I was having a shower and forgot to put it back on(my mistake) I left it on the bathroom counter. It isn't an easy thing to miss. My room got cleaned and when we came back it was gone. I searched everywhere and I couldn't find it. Spoke to reception informing them that it is missing and asked if house keeping through it in the bin or it was picked up by mistake, never accused anyone of taking it. They said they would look into it. When I asked them about it again the receptionist who was on the desk wasn't bothered and just said 'no they didn't find it sorry'. I was very disappointed that it was gone. I understood it was my own fault I forgot to put it back on my hand, but the fact that the one piece of jewelry that was left out went missing. I find it very fishy, Very disappointed with the outcome. I wear this ring everyday and no way did it fall off my hand, I just forgot to put it back on from the rush to be at a tour for 11:00. Recommend to use the safe in the room. Don't want what happend to me happen to someone else.
