Hostel's ambience is very rustic, and we'll maintained. The rooms were very clean, and the staff at the reception were extremely friendly. They also can give good recommendations on things to do in Prague, if you ask. The hostel is pretty eco friendly, and has good WiFi coverage. There's a kitchen and a bar in the facility, and a garden in the backyard. In summer, this could be a good hangout spot to meet new people. The one inconvenience I had in this hostel is that there were only 4 power outlets in the shared room for 6 people. So we had to time share the outlets. Otherwise, this is a great hostel, and I would definitely stay here when I visit Prague again.

Good hostel experience! The staff was friendly and helpful. Slept in the 12 bed dorm and had a good night sleep. It was calm, actually even very quite during my stay. Good kitchen facilities (stoves, microwave, kettle, toaster, kitchenwear…).

I’ve been to many hostels in Europe and have never felt as unsafe as I did here. They had a code to enter the main room, but that does not make a difference when the staff lets people into private rooms anyway. Do not trust your luggage in the room even if you rented the entire room! When we checked in, we carried our luggage up the stairs only to find a room full of other people’s luggage (we rented a private room). When I told the receptionist, he responded “there aren’t people in that room”. So it’s dirty and people left their stuff? He eventually reassigned us to a different room and the door to the bathroom would not close due to a broken lock (see photo) and there was no shower curtain or water retainer so the water from the shower just flooded the entire bathroom (see photo). Additionally, none of the rooms our group rented came with towels, even though this was arranged prior. One set of people in our group that rented a different room ended up getting locked out in the afternoon one day. None of their keys would work and the receptionist’s master key also did not work. Their solution? Wait until 9am the following morning for their technician to come and fix the door. But they had no available rooms to allow the girls to sleep in and all of their luggage was locked behind that door. The bathroom door being broken makes a lot more sense after that. The rooms do not look like the photos advertised by the hostel. You’ll feel like you’re living in an old orphanage with Annie. The cellar living quarters is cute though. Breakfast was not restocked well. Our group was large so we divided into two smaller groups and by the second group, there was no hot food left.

The hostel itself is great value for the price. It's cheaper than most accommodations and at the same time is clean, offers a good breakfast at a decent price and has staff there 24 7. And the best thing about it is that you meet wonderful people from all walks of life there

By far the best hostel in Prague! I've been to the mixed room and the ladies room. Would definitely recommend the ladies one if you are a woman. It's a very cozy, comfortable place suitable for any kind of plans in the city. And trust me, it's way better NOT to be in the centre. The kitchen is a dream for anyone on a budget who enjoys cooking, it's packed with amenities and tea and some free ingredients 💕 Special thanks to Robert and to the recepcionist with long curly beautiful hair and flawless style (I feel terrible I can't recall his name) please give them a promotion, employees of the month!

I was surprised by this hostel. i chose it over higher rated ones because it was $10 cheaper per night Some people have rated this low for being unsocial... True they don't have a lot of events going on, but they do have people talking. the way the common area is situated, people end up talking and hanging out, and that's my idea of the best kind of social hostel! Yes the hostel is far from the main area of Prague, but 100% worth the money you save to travel an extra 10 minutes to get downtown

Great hostel with very friendly staff. It’s built in a historic feeling building with a really cool basement serving as a breakfast place/kitchen in the day and a nice bar at night. Although not very close to old town, it is only a short and convenient tram ride away. Met some really cool people there as well. I’m looking forward to my next stay here!

Perfect place to crash in Prague. Amazing hostel, 24x7 staff available, really clean and neat beds. We loved our stay, made some friends in the underground bar and the garden area is also pretty nice 👍

Really nice hostel to book for students. They offer all you can breakfast for 10€. Also they accept cash in eur but with an exchange rate of 23€. Towels and hair dryer can be rented for a cost of 1€ and 2€ respectively. 12 bed dorms has three layered bed, so if you are unfortunate you might get the topmost, which is quite difficult to climb up and down everytime.

This is an AMAZING hostel to meet people! It has a cozy space, a great ALL you can eat breakfast (with many things + fruits, yogurt, granola!) to get you started well (and with a discount if you buy the voucher the night before!), and very nice staff at any time of the day! The bedrooms are comfy. The washroom ratio is good! Don't miss the farmers market close by! (It has great affordable coffee & pastries) We decided to stay longer but they were full, so we moved to a different hostel that was NOT as cool or as good (for about the same price )

Really cosy hostel for a very good price. Nice common areas with space to eat, chill, watch telly and play games. The kitchen was well equipped, though an oven would’ve made it even better. I travelled with four other friends and we had a great time in the kitchen and meeting people in the common room. Beer was cheap. Bathrooms were possibly the best hostel bathrooms we’ve come across. Only downsides were the triple bunk beds & it was quite far from the city. Although, it was close to a good supermarket.

I came here to heal from a surgery I had just two days ago and everyone at Sir Toby's has been just wonderful. Due to my own forgetfulness I didn't realize I couldn't check in as early as I needed to after the surgery was done and they re-organized everything to get me an available room despite this. They even bring me breakfast to my room because I can't properly walk right now and have been super nice and forthcoming at the reception. I'll recommend this place to everyone I know. Thank you for your help, it is so appreciated Toby's staff. ❤️

My stay at Sir Toby's is coming to an end and I already know I will miss this place. Everything has been going great from the beginning to the end. The receptionnist that welcomed me was really nice and told me everything I needed to know. I stayed in a female 6 beds dorms and I have to say the room was really pretty. Room and bedsheets were clean and storage is well thought. Its nice having a break from bunk beds as well. The kitchen is very nice looking and has everything. And there's also a pub downstairs. Location is good, near public transport and the main quarters (Old Town and Mala Strana). Thanks to Sir Toby's team. Highly recommend and will be back.

Nice stay all around. The house is surprisingly quiet. Of course it's not the city center, but there are restaurants nearby, and e.g. a Penny supermarket. Tram station is not far around the corner.

This is a really nice hostel. Super clean and friendly vibe. I’m a bit older so booked a private room which I thoroughly enjoyed. The bar in the evening is a good spot to meet new people.

Excellent hostel with friendly staff and travellers. Clean, cheap beer, good Wi-Fi, and a place to put ur luggage for the day when you check out. Bring a lock if you want to secure your items in the lockers under the bed or the luggage room. Nice garden too.

best hostel experience ever! the bar was so fun and people here are quite social (dont go if youre wanting a lowkey prague trip hahah). extremely friendly and helpful ppl at front desk, and very clean bathrooms and bedrooms. the triple bunk situation was Lit as Hell. loved my time here. great price and location!! holeosovice is so cool. definitely take a look around and eat dinner at one of the asian restaurants closeby (super cheap + lotsa vegan options). i also really recommend the buffet breakfast here its super cheap. the building itself was so beautiful too, love the old wooden vibe

Great hostel with great history. Staff is so good and polite. My favourite place here is bar (Open by 19:00-12:00), all bartenders are amazing, so cozy atmosphere and cheap drinks, u can ask to play your music, or take a guitar and play by yourself!

Very nice hostel, clean sheets and bathroom. We liked the breakfast and the bar room itself. There is yougurt and muesli, sausages, potatoes, cheese , fruits and more. Get a free small beer by booking through their website. It is not in the city center but you can easily get to the center by train. There is a purple mixed parking outside of the hostel but you can park there only of you arrive before 22. If needed there is P+R holistovice very close where parking costs 100 czk/day.

The place was super friendly. They have a good environment. The staff was so nice. They even give me tips for my Prague trip experience that were really useful. I definitely recommend that place for tourist and travelers from all around the world. It was even cheap

Stayed in a 12 person room. Not much I can say bad about this place. Only thing is that one of the cleaners shouted in a language we didn't understand at my friend. We were just sitting in a bed on the opposite side of where there was a lot of mess. Nice bar and a decent kitchen. Receptionists and garden is very nice. Trams make it easy I would go again.

Second time staying here. Not changed at all. Such charm and fun. Best place to spark up conversations with random travellers and visit the beautiful Prague. Very quirky! Close to shops, bars and other amenities, Trams 2 mins away. Everything is only a tram and a walk away. The staff here are banging, friendly and fun. We love the quirky corners and the beds are so comfortable!

One of the best hostels I've been to! Super friendly staff, very clean and beautiful interior and rooms. We had a two-single bedroom which was spacious, clean and comfy and it had a beautiful sink with mirror in it. The shared bathroom was also very clean and very modern with a big rain shower. There are balconies and a big garden which is cozy and full of plants 😊 the basement with the bar and the kitchen are very nice as well. The only negative thing for me was the bad air in the basement/bar/kitchen, especially the luggage room - there should be better ventilation or air cleaners. The Tram station is very close and you can reach the centre of the city easily from there, but it takes about 20-30 minutes to get there. One tipp: right next to the Hostel is the Vnitroblock, you can walk right in (very cozy, industrial look) and there are cute stores, e.g. a thrift store and an amazing, very spacious bar at the end. Definitely recommend to go and get a drink there.

The hostel is very clean, rooms very comfortable and people at the reception is very nice. Cozy terrace and basement also. The only problem I had there was with wash and dryer machine and a young boy managing claims not used to. The instructions are not so clear. We were two guest trying to figure it out how to use it and the result was that I lost half of the money in the dryer machine not using it. This boy came to "help me" and he just not did help me, but in the middle of the conversation he basically invented that my attitude was not the right one (we were literally exposing our points of view, but he didnt like when I ask him if there was any possibility of giving to me money to recover the time lost), so he literally told me that for my attitude he was not going to do anything. Before that even I told him that I knew was not his fault but if he could help me to recover the time I didnt use with that machine and he answered that the instructions were clear and that nobody had problems before (when we were two people without understanding). He was clearly too young without any formation or experience dealing with claims. Unfortunately I have to discourage the use of.this service. If you need to wash, call somebody from the reception to go with you so they activate everything for you. Otherwise youre gonna loose a lot of money and this young guy will not help at all.

Not the best location, but is close to some good places to eat, the staff are very friendly, and the tram system in Prague is very well done and cheap making it quite easy to get around. Highly recommended.

This is one of the best hostels in Europe. If you are in Prague traveling, this is the one. Pros: -Perfect location to get to the city center quickly. -Incredibly clean, large rooms. -Amazing staff: the manager is incredibly kind and all the receptionists go above and beyond. The staff was like a family while I was here. -Tons of common room space to eat, meet other travelers, relax. -Bar with cheap drinks and lots of solo travelers of all ages. Cons -You will keep extending your stay and never want to leave. One final thanks and shout out to the staff, best hostel in Prague!

Sir Tobys Hostel definitely passes the vibe check!! The best spot to stay in Prague! The hostel is vintage, clean and a great place to hang out and meet new people. The staff elevated our experience even offering us survival goodies when my travel buddy fell ill during our stay. (S & B deserve a special thanks) Management is super accommodating even working with guests to host a painting & Art night (Thank you E for an amazing stay!)

I’ve stayed here for a couple of days and really enjoyed myself. I was traveling by myself and socializing was rather easy in this hostel, mainly to the bar in the basement which was also the common room. The prices at the bar were also pretty cheap. Cleanliness was usually also pretty good. After all I’d say if you like smaller, cozier and more personal hostels where you have lots of opportunities to socialize, then this hostel will serve you really well.

  • 5/5 Sebastian R. 1 year ago on Google
The best hostel I’ve visited so far. Lovely staff, clean room with sheets and a fan included. The hostel has a super cozy basement with a nice kitchen, chill space with couches and a bar. 24/7 lobby.

The receptionist explained us the city. It was a cheap and clean hostel. People staying there were cool! Only problem is that it is very far to the downtown. But it is an opportunity to discover the other parts of Prag!

It was terrible. One of the worst night of my life. It Was very dirty and it smelled terrible especially the bathroom. It was not worthy at all. So expensive for this kind of room and hotel.

I got a double/triple private room with a friend and it was a great experience! The room was surprisingly large and had a private bathroom with shower. It was clean and easy to access thanks to the elevator. For the price, the room provided all the amenities you'd see at a hotel. I really liked my stay here and would 100% recommend this place to others!

Super nice, clean and social hostel but what would you think about integrating recycling possibilities in the kitchen (organic waste, plastic, bottles, etc.) or in the rooms as well ? I bet young travellers like me and my friends would love that !!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. My phone stopped working at one point and they tried their best to help me. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was good and the beers were cheap. It is a distance from the city centre, but its worth the extra 10 minutes on a tram.

👍👍 For me, the best place to eat in Prague. Not only drinks, but also foods arrive at your table on trains. On some tables, trains return to even take empty plates! On top of that - the food is delicious, same goes for drink. The staff is very kind and polite. I definitely recommend this place.
