The Stars system allows people to estimate quality of hotels without checking pictures and reviews. And 4 stars is already a "premium" class which is not anyhow about "Galileo". It's barely 3 stars hotel. Rooms are old, but comfortable, location is not bad. And that's it from pluses. The breakfast is just basic with horrible (HORRIBLE!) coffee, like in some cheap motels. Bread is mostly not fresh, fruits are pretty often spoiled. It's also freezing cold 🥶 in the breakfast room, unfortunately I didn't have sweater, warm socks, and scarf with me, because it is summer. But it would be useful every morning. 😂 The street, where the hotel is located, has a few restaurants, that work till midnight and it's very loud. At the same time, AC in our room was very old, stinky, and loud, so we had to "sleep" with opened window - not possible to get a proper rest. Even toilet paper is almost transparent. 😂 Such "4-stars" cheating is just unacceptable.

The location is for sure an advantage of this hotel. It's oldish but well maintained. Clean linen. Stayed there for 4 nights. The breakfast could be a way better in the aspect of variety as well as in organisation. If you come a little more than in an hour before it finishes you will eat leftovers with many items not available by this time. They barely refill breakfast during the service.

We stayed for a week and really enjoyed it. Huge room, hotel is very modern and clean. Good bed, great bathroom. Good breakfast buffet. We had a corner room on an upper floor, overlooking the Main Street and trams, and it was very quiet.

Only a short walk to city centre. Trrams and bus stops just around the corner. Nice quiet area,a few pubs and restaurants within meters of front doors. Rooms were spotless. Breakfast was very good with views of city( on top floor)

Perfectly good budget hotel, room clean and well serviced every day, restaurants and bars on your doorstep as well, but a good distance especially to the old Town area. For the price is recommend it.. Breakfast included and out was good. Coffee from the machine was nice!

One of the most important purposes of a hotel is providing a good place to sleep. This hotel got some things very wrong. The first is having a 3 hour timer on the AC. Get the room nice and cool before bed. Then wake up a few hours later sweating because the room is now much hotter. Why not link the AC to the occupancy card slot by the door? It meant we woke up uncomfortable every night. The door to the bathroom makes a crazy loud noise when it hits the floor. We probably woke up adjoining rooms because of trying to close the bathroom door in the middle of the night. So so loud. The curtains don't close. There are plastic runners at the top, no idea what they are supposed to do, but for us they stopped the two curtains meeting fully. Resulting in bright sunlight entering the room in the morning. Even simple things like, don't put the AC controls facing the bed with its bright LED that can make it hard to sleep. The chair is also really noisy when its feet are slid across the floor. The room above did this and it was crazy loud. Simply adding soft pads on the chair could help fix this. We booked a double bed, e.g. a large bed for two. What we actually got was two single beds made up as single beds but pushed together. That means if you want to be close one of you vanishes down a gap between the beds! Most of these issues are very easily fixed. The impossible one is the trams that run past the room. They shake the bed and the rumble is impossible to ignore. They can't fix that of course, but you should be aware of it. On the plus side the room is a good size, breakfast is great. Shower is decent although could be better thought out (control is directly under the shower head so easy to knock) I doubt I'd stay again. Overall disappointing stay.

The hotel looks nice and well maintained from the outside and on the inside. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The hotel was close to transport links but we chose to walk to most places with the weather being dry during our stay. It was only a 30 minute walk to the Old Town Square, and there were lots of local shops and restaurants that we discovered while walking around. We had a room situated on the front of the hotel, and although we had seen a few reviews about noise during the night time and early in the morning, we were able to get a good nights sleep and were not woke up by any noise so this wasn't an issue for us. We could hear the lifts in the hotel and movement from above sometimes during the night and in the morning but again that wasn't an issue for us as we expected to hear other guests moving in a busy hotel, just like we have in all hotels we've stayed at in the past. We had a small issue with the plug in our bathroom sink getting stuck so we reported it to the front desk before we went out for dinner and by the time we came back to the hotel it had been sorted so they were very efficient with resolving this issue. Staff we interacted with were friendly. There were plenty of tables in the breakfast room, the staff were very efficient cleaning up empty plates once you were finished with them, and there is a variety of food to choose from at the breakfast buffet. I would suggest to go to breakfast early to avoid the rush, we went late one morning and had noticed some of the pastries and plain slices of bread had ran out and were not restocked. There was also a high demand for use of the toaster at times as there was only one for the whole breakfast room and it took longer than expected to toast the bread, but most guests seemed to notice this as well and we were polite and waited in turn to use it. Overall we would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Great place, helpful staff, rooms are very pleasant. Just remember , if you have a room at the front you will hear the trams rumbling past during the night. Breakfast room at the top of the hotel was great place to eat the plentiful variety of food.

My stay in the hotel was a really poor experience. Room had windows on to the very loud street with loud noises and screams up to 1 or 2 AM, so getting a good rest was impossible. Breakfast was very poor with absolutely terrible, terrible instant coffee.

really nice hotel in the new town of prague. plenty of good bars & places to eat all around the area. rooms were very clean & were cleaned every day. staff were polite & very helpful, windows are double glazed so there is no noise from outside also no noise what so ever inside the building.for breakfast you need to get the lift to the fith floor, food was ok but on our last day the scrambled eggs had run out & people were milling around for about 20 mins unti they came out with a dish of about a dozen fried eggs which were very hard, apart from that its not too bad. its about a 35 mins walk to the old town but just around the corner you can get the tram.

Great hotel, everything you need for that Prague City break, a decent walk to the main town, far enough away from the tourist crowd but close enough to so many fantastic restaurants locally. My only negative is the hotel is completely tiled, so sound bounces around from outside the room and can be a bit noisy, especially at night.

As someone said below, no frills hotel! We enjoyed our stay here, good amenities and came with breakfast. Could do with some areas being updated but this doesn't effect your stay. Tram stop just outside the hotel which will take you to the centre of Prague. Good staff, would recommend!

Our Trip to Prague was a family trip for a few days away to soak it all in. We done it all. Climbed the steps up to The Clock Tower, the view overlooking Prague was stunning. Charles Bridge what a bridge!! Leads you over to the Old Town and Prague Castle just jump on the tram for free. Takes you all round the city. Hop on hop off so easy accessible. Only home definitely will be back in Prague.

I don't understand the bad reviews. Clean hotel, spacious rooms, tranquility, helpful and kind staff, perfect location for visiting the city, abundant breakfast with a very nice room with windows where you can admire the view. I recommend to anyone who wants to spend a time in Prague without problems.

Great location to visit Prague! The rooms were clean and we were quite happy with the breakfast too which offers a wide range of different dishes. I had concerns about the clogged shower filled with hair. I asked for it to be unclogged, which was promptly done. The shower hose is clogged too abd the water pression is good but it feels more like stepping under a cascade than a shower.

We stayed in room 402 for one night. The room was ok, nothing special, but fine for one night. The WiFi connection in the room was unstable though. The buffet breakfast was served on the 5th floor in the new building and it was descent. Although there was spoiled milk and when I complained about it to the staff they didn't believe me. Eventually, they replaced the milk but I was really unpleasantly surprised that they didn't know how spoiled milk tastes and they wanted to argue about it - crazy. The location of the hotel is great. It's quiet there but still very close to two metro stations. Overall, the hotel was fine for the price we had paid.

I visited this hotel about three years ago and have booked again for next year. Slightly out of the centre of prague but with several restaurants and bars close by the hotel is clean and comfortable breakfast is continental with plenty of choice, staff helpful and friendly we enjoyed our stay there.

Great location, quiet at night (apart from the regular clatter of trams, but we quickly got used to that!) Good breakfast (continental and cooked options), huge bed and generous room size, especially in the superior rooms. Good curtains and triple glazed. Excellent location, easy walk to nearby tram and metro stops and many small and reasonable eateries within walking distance (and some very nice places on the same block). Friendly staff. Would recommend!

Lovely hotel, just a ten to fifteen minute walk from Wenceslas Square. Good spacious rooms and welcoming receptionist

Comfortable large room. Helpful staff. Big drawback was the streetnoise throughout the night of the trams and cars. Expected to a certain level in a city but I felt this was worse than I would class as standard

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel! Everything was perfect: veeery spacious rooms with bathtubs, sweet and kind staff, location is 10 min walk to National museum and Main avenue, delicious breakfast with great city view! Many thanks! You’re doing great job!! With best regards, Valeria.

No frills hotel! My room was small but they let me check in early with no extra charge. Super helpful. Especially Andrea! Decent breakfast. Little far from city but also quieter and still plenty to explore! Would come again!

Lovely large rooms. Comfortable. Large powerful shower. Reception staff are warm and welcoming. Breakfast had a good selection, constantly topped up and food was warm. Coffee was decent. Good location, transport close by and walkable to curry center. Lot's of shops, restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Will definitely stay again.

We got a huge room on the corner of the first floor. It was next to the tramline, but it didn't bother us much, since the noise was reduced well by the walls and windows. The room was clean, fresh and modern. The bathroom was nice too. Wifi worked well. The bed was pretty large and comfortable. The breakfast was okay. I expected a wider range of selection of food, but it was okay for our 3 nights long stay. The hotel is from walking distance of the interesting parts of the city. I think we got this all for a fair price, would recommend.

A great base to explore beautiful Prague. Great breakfast selection of fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, cereals and breads. We stayed in the older part of the hotel which had character and was cleaned to a good standard. Staff were very helpful too!

Clean friendly hotel. Reception staff speak good English. Opt for superior room in new part of hotel, much more spacious. Tea & coffee in rooms. Close by tram stop to all area's. Only down side is on tram route, during night trams sound like distant thunder but should only affect the lightest of sleepers

Lovely hotel with spacious, modern rooms in the new wing. Our room was huge and clean however a bit empty, I could have imagined more shelves for example. There was complimentary coffee and tea in the room which was nice. Receptionists were friendly and welcoming, they spoke English very well. Breakfast wasn't the best, there wasn't as much choice as I would expect from a 4 star hotel but it was okay-ish. Room was quiet, bed was surprisingly comfortable, we had great quality sleeping. Distance from Old Town is good if you are looking for a hotel at a quiet area, 20-30 minutes of walking or 10-20 minutes with public transportation (there is tram stop right next to the hotel).

Stayed for a week in January, walking up to the hotel, you are greeted by a period facade, the building is impressive. Front door is electronic and opens with ease . The interior is awesome. Beautiful untouched period interior. The reception is manned 24/7 . Booking in is the easiest I've ever done abroad. Entering the room which is spacious, your met with a personalized greeting on the tv. Fresh water daily free of charge placed in your fridge, free use of the room safe. Good clean hotel breakfast is great , staff are brilliant wifi is exceptionally good. Cleaners are excellent. 15m walk to the old town..lots to look at. Well worth the visit. Will be back again .

My son and I loved the place. We had a such lovely welcome and Petra was exceptional. She's such a lovely lady, couldn't have done any more for us. The Hotel itself was very clean and we got upgraded to the newer part of the hotel. Our suite was also massive. Definitely recommend the Hotel.

The hotel is far enough away from the crowd to be peaceful but so close to the nearest metro station that we found it perfect. All of the staff were so welcoming and friendly with great local advice. The breakfast room is very nice with glass on 3 sides, we visited in January but I am sure the doors would be open in better weather as there is a terrace. If we return we would certainly stay again. There is a good selection of bars and restaurants at a far more reasonable price than in the centre.
