Would be a zero star if possible. This hotel are profiting off the covid-19 pandemic. I had a group of 14 travelling to Prague for a friends stag party. Our flights got cancelled (for obvious reason). When I contacted the hotel they told me tough luck and it's not their problem. This was from the operations manager Kristina Skrebkova. Despite the fact during the pandemic I have been able to change all 5 of my other bookings with other hotels to another date or get a refund. I asked booking.com about my case and two people I spoke to on the phone believed this hotel were acting immorally and were deliberately not helping. They said this hotel were unreasonable. They told me to call the week before and they should be able to help. The hotel asked for proof my flight was cancelled. Which I provided this evidence. Then the same operations manager named above told us it's not their problem because we did not book a cancellation fee. Thet told me to book a flight to prague (which was now 3 times the price we originally paid). I mentioned that we had people who work for the NHS in our group and they couldn't get away from work as well as people in the vulnerable category again this despicable operations manager showed no sympathy to our groups situation. Whilst I accept I booked without the cancellation fee. We booked our trip in november 2019 before the pandemic was even on the world radar. I have booked with numerous hotels who have helped me out and allowed us to rebook hotels. This Hotel has awful customer service. Who are trying to profit out of people's misfortune because of a global pandemic. During the pandemic I have seen and witnessed first hand many businesses being understanding and helping people in need. Sadly the 'Hotel Florenc' have woeful customer service skills and are an immoral business that want to profit off a global pandemic. Also disappointing that a huge global company like booking.com want to endorse companies like this. Do not book with this hotel at any cost. There are plenty of more supportive and wonderful hotels who are empathetic to peoples situations in Prague. Absolute scam artists.

We chose this hotel because it’s near the main bus station in town and there is a metro stop very close. So if you want to be near the bus station, it’s a good location. It’s not very close to most attractions, but you can get there on the metro pretty quickly. The rooms were decent size but the carpet was dirty/stained otherwise this place would be rated higher. Breakfast was good and it cost an extra 8 euro for each person. Overall, a good place to stay.

I would like to raise a complaint on Hotel Florenc as they were not customer friendly during the epidemic situation. We made a non-refund reservation to Hotel Florenc in January for June 18-21. We contacted the Hotel 3 weeks before departure and asked for a cancellation with refund or free reschedule based on corona crisis. This time borders between Hungary and Czech Republic were closed! Its operations manager, Kristina Skrebkova were all the time sticking to non-refund terms and conditions, safe situation in Prague and bad economical state of the hotel industry. We described that other reservations (ours and friends’ at other hotels) were immediately refunded even booked with same conditions. During this long conversation, authorities were opening up the border for business travellers between Hungary and Czech Republic, but not recommending any leisure travel. She was trying to convince us that it is safe to travel. We wish she would be in the same situation! We decided not to travel as safety is first, but it is worth sharing our experience with Hotel Florenc. We wanted to enjoy a nice weekend in Prague but it simply became a nightmare. We don’t recommend this hotel to anyone, exceptionally behavior of the management! Choose other hotel which puts customer first!

We stayed there in October 2019 and really enjoyed our days in Prague - also because of the great public transport connection just a few minutes away from our hotel. There are buses, tramways and the subway you can take to get to different places in the city and the public transport system is easy to use and not that expensive! The hotel itself surprised us with the quality of it's rooms, when we entered our room we were blown away by the size compared to it's price. The bed was comfy, the bathroom clean and the shower big enough for people like me, who enjoy food maybe a little too much. The windows opened to the backside where the kitchen was, it wasn't a pleasant view but we didn't care cause we were out in the city the whole day. What made me only rate it four stars (cause the team was really nice too!) were two things: The radiators in our room were on full blast and couldn't be turned off. It was October but it was sunny and warm the whole day so it was way too hot and we had to keep the windows open at all time. I asked for the heating to be turned off but they didn't. Second: I asked for lemons for my tea in the morning and they told me they're out of lemons but will buy some the next day and didn't. It's just a very small inconvenience but still I like my holidays to be as good as possible! (also a supermarket, BILLA, is just around the corner so it wouldn't have been a great trouble) Regardless, we really really enjoyed our stay there and will visit it again!

It’s a 3 star hotel and doesn’t provide restauration or beverage after 10 am. Don’t be thirsty at 6pm I guess. The sound isolation of my room is really bad considering the police station is right in front of the hotel. You are able to hear other rooms tv’s till 4 am ( yes ) between two police sirens. For the first two days, my rooms smelled horrible. I put soap in the toilet and all water evacuation. It was better. The final touch : people smoking outside of the emergency exit door, leaving the door open, gifting a strong cigarette smell in the whole small floor and eventually your room. I also suspect them to smoke in the room because the smoke detector was simply removed in mine. Which is nice in case of fire. At least the staff is very nice and do its best. It’s close to the metro. If you are deaf with smell issue, the hotel is quite perfect.

No parking for the Hotel and the public parking about 1.2€ maximum 2 hours. - rooms are nice and clean the airco was not good in room 301. - Towels should be thrown in the shower if u want to get new clean one. Price was fare the location is goed enough.

Not all of the employee can speak English good enough. I am German and I think English is a Standart to comunicate. But they were friendly the most of the time even if they played on their mobile phone as a receptionist. The room is very beautiful and clean. There not a good landscape you can see from the window but it is a city, come on. Instead you have a bus station and the metro not far away. The breakfast is okay and you have a few vegan options but not much. No soy milk and for your bread you have to take jelly. There a pickles, mais and some salad. Its cost 10 euro/240 crones... The hotel had 4 stars. I think 3 would be more accurate, but it is something between 3-4 stars I would give.

After trying to contact Hotel Florenc directly and through booking.com for a refund or to arrange a alternative date for regarding a booking that was affected by COVID-19, I was constantly greeted with unsavoury responses and was declined several times by Kristina Skrebkova who kept using the excuse that there was no ‘valid restriction’ between the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic What I cannot fathom is at the present time of writing this review is unfortunately a global pandemic has ensued and many lives have been lost in the UK and Czech Republic so why would people not wish to cancel or try to arrange an alternative date in the future. After politely trying to liaise with Booking.com and the hotel directly, I was faced with unmoving responses such as ‘As I have already mentioned’ and ‘Dates cannot be modified’ which indicates a that this hotel is clearly not interested in helping those affected by COVID-19. Sadly a member of the travelling party suffered severely from the virus and still remains in hospital today however no compassion has been shown whatsoever from either corporation. I would avoid this hotel at all costs as well as booking.com and suggest to look elsewhere when going to Prague. If Hotel Florenc check these reviews I am more than happy to speak to them again providing an they can offer me alternative date or refund. Until then my stance will not change. Do not use and look elsewhere.
