The place is kinda good, the staff are all nice with us during our vacation there, but the terrible point that there was a lot of fight at mid night, women knocking on your door at mid night (i was in a privat room). one of the staff opend the door when i was sleeping in the morning without any explanation and when i go out to talk with him he starts avoiding me, those are terrible things about security and controling the place i wish the responsible of the hostel will give more attention to.

Absolutely fantastic hostel with lovely staff, amazing decor and a friendly environment. The bar downstairs is active and has great live events and bands. There is a wide range of utilities - a TV, free coffee, free towels, a garden, a kitchen, clean and good showers, lots of games, and friendly staff who will help you out with anything you need. My only negatives is that I booked this through HostelWorld and so was not told that check in stopped after 10, and was told the reception was 24 hr (which it isnt). Had it not been for the lovely volunteer Marcel who happened to be awake and checked me in, I would have had to sleep downstairs for my first night, and this review would not be 5 stars. I would highly highly recommend this Hostel.

So much positive energy there! All the staff is very kind and helpful. Regarding the breakfast, they even had soy milk and lots of fruits 😊

Special, tasty vibe - good music, they have a stage in the "pub section" with live performances which are hold almost every night. Cheerful staff, really helpful guysm Cozy relaxed atmosphere. Beds are okay. Curtains, privacy OK. Kitchen is okay. Free tea & Coffee. During the night smoke could crawl into the room. if windows are open. No AC!

Not bad. The bar is a place for exhibitions and live events (music, poetry reading etc). Cool atmosphere.

This was my second time staying at this hostel, and again it was wonderful! The staff is excellent and helpful, the rooms are nice and the bar is lively. As a traveler in my 30s, the environment wasn't too much of a party hostel, but there was enough going on to keep it fun. If you prefer a soft bed like my friend who came, the beds aren't the best and though there were some loud guests one night who left the bathroom a mess, you can't fault a hostel on the guests. Would recommend!

A little bit away from the centre but lots of trams near by that get you there in just a few stops. One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Atmosphere is great and people are lovely. All beds have their own privacy curtain, fan, light, and plug socket which is great

Very friendly and helpful staff! Very nice and affordable hostel overall, with a lively bar at its basement. We stayed at the deluxe double room at the uppermost floor. It was fully equipped and very nicely decorated. The receptionist even let us leave our luggage there before our check-in and for some hours after our check-out as well. The only downside which removes one out of the five stars is that is was not clean and the dust was visible in places you wouldn't want it to be (like the bathrooms). We would definitely recommend it to friends though!

The hostel is located on the "border" of the Žižkov neighborhood, some 15 minutes away from Prague Old Town by public transport and some 10 minutes walk to Žižkov main square. I stayed in one of the very basic 10-beds dormitories, bunk beds here have no plugs, nightlights or small shelves to store your stuff but mattresses are comfy. The downstairs bar is nice, they organize different activities (karaoke, jam sessions, play nights), is open to the public and is a meeting point for all kinds of expats. As somehow the access to the upstairs dorms is not completely safely separated, during my stay there was a case of theft (money & documents) from a non-hostel guest.

I stayed here for a week. Great hostel, very fairly priced, nightly bar open and game nights. Very cool decor and centrally located near mass transit. The staff is very friendly. It gets a 2 thumbs up.

A good hostel: but please be aware that a tourist scammer named Anderson (from Angola) uses this place to find people to steal from and con. If you happen to visit and meet this "Anderson" - it is a sign that the hostel is not adequately protecting its guests. I emailed the hostel about this incident and received no reply. Anderson is a liar, a thief, and a cheat: please be aware that he (and potentially other scammers) have been operating in this hostel.

If you want to go to a place that is full of people that are more then friendly, amazing and helpful for his is the place for you! The breakfast are amazing and if you want to go to the center of the city a bus stop is less then a minute away. You can take the 207 bus to go to the center of the city. Nights in this hostel are amazing mostly because of the bar downstairs. You can bond and make friends like never before! I was staying here for 5 days and I could not be happier!! Definitely recommend this place. If you won’t be a jerk everyone will do the same for you.

Awesome receptionist really cool dude, showed and explained everything needed, if I got more time I would stay longer, it's cheap and nice hotel, I like their stylr, live music from dj, nice place, if you know some basic conversational English you can speak pretty much with everyone. I'm Czech my self and I like to experience something like this. If i could give more stars surely will.

Nice place with awesome service. The reception was really helpful and welcoming. There was free tea, Coffee in the lounge. Though the rooms were without a window to the outside and there was no proper communal space for the ammount of people staying here. Other than that the location is good with a quick connection to the city center and close to the bus station.

Cozy lounge with free coffee and tea, next to the bar room where events are held almost every evening. Above the ground floor with reception, lounge and bar there are two floors with dormitories, on the second floor there is also a guest kitchen. The building does not have an elevator. The shared kitchen has basic equipment and shared refrigerator/fridge so you can store and cook own food, but as many others have pointed out it is not as fresh as you could wish. The bed in the dormitory was stable and comfortable, it had a storage box underneath and a curtain to get extra privacy Each dorm floor has separate wc and shower rooms for women and men respectively. The biggest drawback was the lack of hot water in the showers, at best it turned close to lukewarm.

To be honest, I loved this place. The decor was amazing, the jam session was an absolute blast and I liked the general vibe of the entire place. Our room wasn't the cleanest and we didn't really get enough duvets so I slept under my sweater, but it was still fairly comfortable. Not giving 5 stars cos I fell into this weird dent under the window where the radiator was and skinned my knee. If I'm ever in Prague again, I'll definitely book a room here. Cheers!

Not a quiet hostel by any means - keep that in mind if booking, it can get loud and chaotic. The rooms were fine, they fit their purpose. The bathrooms could have been better, sometimes there wasn't any hot water. The common areas were very pleasant, a mix of cosy areas and places with music. Great if you want to socialise.

We had a really great time at Brix! We first had a group booking and then some decided to extend our stay for one more night. They were kind enough to let us keep the same rooms, which was amazing for us! We all ended up in rooms of 8 beds - the rooms were not extremely big, but if you are with friends, it does not matter, I assume it is a bit different with strangers. It was also clean, including the bathrooms and the small kitchen. They also provide towels for free and other things in the bathroom like shower gel or a hairdryer. I think the only "annoying" thing about the rooms was this code that we had to enter to unlock our doors - sometimes it was not working and other times if you forgot your phone inside, it was a bit hard to remember it. Being in a 8-beds room, we also had to pass through the 12-beds room, which made me feel like I was always a bit loud, disturbing those sleeping there. Other than that, everything was perfect in the room and super clean - the lockers were also big enoug, but bring your own lock! The location is a bit far from the centre, but nothing a 20-min tram ride cannot solve! Prepare yourself for climbing a hill to the tram station, other than that, there are many places to eat and have a drink around. The hostel had also a nice common area (the artwork is impressive!!) and a bar - we did not spend too much time there, but I assume it is another way to enjoy some of the evenings. Overall, I recommend it! It was one of the best hostels!

Nice staff. Dirty kitchen. Probably moldy. Me and my friends all got symptoms of mold. Otherwise nice atmosphere. Would not recommend for a long stay.

The hostel is very nice, the stuff is very available and extremely nice. The only negative thing of our stay were the showers, that were cold (we were showering late, around 11 pm) and not super clean.

Over all pretty good with nice amenities but the beds aren't that comfortable. Decent place to stay for events in Forum Karlin.

I only used their bar for a meeting with my team and I think waiter in glasses is so cool. He served with a lot of respect and candour. I will definitely recommend this place for other services

I wasn't there to sleep, but to party. Bar is big with dancing floor and stage, so sometimes there are DJs parties. Smoking is possible on cozy courtyard. Good sound and beer for 50 CZK/2euro.

I had the best stay at Brix, met a lot of wonderful people, there were events happening all the weeks (the Wednesday’s open jam sessions being my favorite one). They have karaoke nights, chess nights, open mic, etc. There’s a very nice backyard where you can hang out and talk with people from all over the world, everyone was so nice. The staff working there was so gentle and welcoming, always friendly. I first thought I was staying for two days and then I kept extending my stay, finally stayed for almost two months. I would love to come back as soon as I can.
