Stacked with a nice crowd of people, this place had a friendly vibe from day one. I was always able to use the shared shower and toilets when I needed to and they were reasonably clean. Beds need a bit updating, could have done with actual pillows rather than what was really a small cushion. I did find it very hot and stuffy in the night. Conveniently located within walking distance of most of Prague's attractions. They stock a small amount of alcoholic and soft drinks. There is a convenient mini market just 1 minute away if you are after a wider choice although it's a bit pricier. Management are quick to resolve any issues, there is always someone manning the reception area.

In the heart of downtown Prague, Ahoy! Hostel is a great place to stay if you plan to be in and out. Location is second to none! As for the rooms, they could use some TLC. No soap or towels, unsteady beds particularly if you’re staying in a dorm and noisy lockers. Hope the next person has a better experience than me. Prague is truly beautiful!!

Very nice hostel in the city center. ☺️ The rooms are very tidy and look modern. Showers and toilets were clean & I had never to wait. The staff in the hostel was always very nice. They are at the front desk 24/7 and answer all your questions. There is starting a free walking tour everyday off the hostel and I really recommend you to join. Michael is a lovely and funny guy who will walk you through Prague. Around 8 pm there is a gathering everyday. You get to know the other guests and can go to a Bar/Club with everyone. Colin knows which Clubs to visit and takes care of you. And he really knows how to party. The hostel has special offers for the club entrance.

This one didn’t quite meet the mark for us. We stayed in a private room Pros: Amazing location- central to everything Helpful and friendly staff Clean room Social gatherings each night and cheap beer Kitchen with fridge (no coffee machine, but instant coffee and a kettle) Cons: Very noisy- if it wasn’t the people in the room next to us, in the common area or in the shower, it was the people yelling outside on the street or the constant garbage pick up (they pick up at least once an hour between 6am-9am). The windows don’t block any sound. CASH ONLY- I missed this on the welcome notification. They will bill your credit card for the deposit, but you have to pay the rest in cash upon arrival. Beds- mattresses and pillows were thin Showers- no soap and one shower was mouldy/musty from constantly leaking No lift- multiple floors of stairs. No safe

I still have NOT received my receipt of payment to date. We had to make the full payment in cash (only) and they could not send me a receipt. The socializing aspect of the hostel was nice (aka, games every night), the staff was exceptionally friendly and the location was great; however the beds and facilities in itself were not worth the price paid.

One of the best hostels I've stayed during my journey in Europe. It's got a very cozy feeling and it's great for socializing! Enjoyed the evenings and night very much, plus it's got a perfect location and facilities are excellent. Great service from Fabi thank you for all the help!!

Even tough we stayed for 1 night it was a lovely experience. Hostel is located in the very heart of the center. Staff are friendly and helpful. It was very clean and there is everything you need(kitchen, laundry, luggage room..). So, it is definetly recommended!!

As a solo traveler from India living in a mixed dorm, i felt pretty at home and comfortable here! They were very helpful at the reception counter as I forgot to bring my universal adapter with me! The fellow room mates were quiet at night and were sensible not to shout or make any noise when others were asleep. The washrooms and showers are separate and clean. Its kinda a few meters away from the old Town square and good cafes. And also pubs etc are nearby! Awesome experience!

A good hostel in the heart of Prague. Wanna thank the professional Peter who helped me a lot with my itinerary. Also my funny friend, Abdul who helped me a lot across my stay. The only drawback that it’s only for partying travelers. If you’re into sleeping -very- early and quiet hostels you’d not feel comfortable. Actually all of the previous could make me still give it a 5 star rating, yet I had a negative experience with “Ondrej”, one of the receptionists. During the check-in for 2nd day -as I booked 2 separate nights- ”, Ondrej began shouting and scolding me, which was unwarranted and unprofessional. I had a simple misunderstanding with another receptionist, and Ondrej's behavior was completely uncalled for. As a customer-facing employee, Ondrej's behavior was unacceptable and made for an uncomfortable experience. I suggest the hostel management speak with Ondrej about his behavior and consider providing him an additional training for customer service. Overall, my stay at Ahoy! Hostel was marred by this unpleasant encounter." Calma man!

I stayed for 2 nights in the 6 shared dorm room. The rooms are maintained clean and the locker provided in the room is big enough! Had great fun at the common room events organized daily and met very interesting people! Location is close the Old Town Center! Great experience, would definitely visit again!

I liked the hostel! The location is perfect - close to Narodni Trida and basically everything you need, whether it is the metro to the airport, some pizza after midnight, a walk across the river or a nice karaoke bar where you can pass by in the evening. There are also some coffee shops close if you need to work remotely like I did. We were welcomed from the beginning by Katie who was amazing <3 - gave us the best energy, although we were a bit tired. Be aware - there are some stairs when you arrive, so if you have luggage, this is something to prepare yourself on your way to the reception. The hostel is also cash only, so keep that in mind! Nevertheless, although we did not have cash when we arrived, we were able to pay after. Other than that, the place was super clean, the bathrooms included, and the room we booked was huge, so it did not feel at times that we were there with other people. You have big lockers and they even helped us from the reception with a lock for free, because ours was small. The beds have curtains so we barely saw anyone else. It felt safe and it was quiet most of the time, I could notice only young people around. I believe the only downside was that it felt too silent, when we booked we expected to meet a lot of people and have that hostel atmosphere, based on the reviews, but it was the opposite. I would not say it was the hostel's fault, they even had some drinking games night prepared when we arrived, but I assume we just ended up in a quiet room. But the hostel is so central that you barely spend time inside!

One of the most thought-through hostels for a comfortable visit to Prague!! Clean and designated restrooms (surprisingly very clean for a hostel), friendliest of stay members (across all shifts), clear instructions on arrival, extra hours of locker access and a common hall for interactions with everyone staying at Ahoy... These would be the top reasons to suggest a stay at AHOY!!! Accessible with a long walk (20 mins) from the main railway station, and located very close to the Charles bridge| Astronomical clock| old town | CITY centre. It has got the location advantage for any visitor to the city. Surrounded by hundreds of cafes (and coffee shops ;) ), eateries and restaurants... NOT TO FORGET to take suggestions from the support desk members (with local information) A hostel with a kitchen facility and fridge... For Supporting long term stay options

Pathetic place, you have to use stairs for 2 floors. For every bathroom visit you have to cross reception. Worst hostel I have ever seen. If you complain they say they will not charge other than booking amount and encourage you to go. Then next day you will see full day deductions in your bank. Fraud people.

I loved my stay at this hostel! It's clean, big sleeping rooms, the location is so perfect! You can reach everything by foot. In the evenings the nice volunteer was organising Drinking games to get to know each other (whoever wants can join) and later we would go to a bar and to a club for 8€ entry. The only "bad" thing I noticed was that you couldn't pay with card, but you could pay with Euros so that was fine eventually. Thank you alot for this great hostel!

As a place to actually stay this hostel was alright besides the lack of an elevator but very disappointing for solo/social/party experience. This hostel runs nightly drinking games and a short bar crawl, and they are in kahoots with expensive tourist trap bars/clubs and will drag you there every night. The girl running the bar crawl repeatedly tried to get everyone to kick on at Duplex (mafia club with 500 czk / 20 Euro cover charge and London/Paris drink prices), she did it night after night and she said things that let on she was getting kickbacks. You will have a bad experience at these places and they cost 5x or more than venues with normal Czech drink prices. Edit: the below reply by the hostel is not at all honest. I'd never heard of Duplex, nice that they admit it's awful here though. Jada would try to drag as many people to Duplex as possible after the first two venues every night.

I enjoyed very much my staying at this hostel, in a 10 people ensuite room. Situated in the very center of Prague, in an old building, this social hostel allowed me to know many people, to visit the center of Prague at any hour, to have a good rest. I recommend the ensuite rooms, because having a separate shower and bath will make a great difference. Very good value for the price.

Best hostel I've stayed at for socialising. This place is perfect if you are looking to meet people and have fun. The hostel staff were accommodating and friendly, in particular Petr who even came out with us on one night to the club. Each night there were drinking games set around a big table which made it very easy to make friends with drinks available for a good price. I found that a lot of people staying there were backpackers/solo travellers. The location of the hostel is excellent, everything we needed was nearby and we never had to take public transport to get around. The rooms are spacious and the beds are fairly comfy, with large lockers available (you need your own padlock). Toilets and showers are fine, there was sometimes a queue to shower in the morning but you can avoid it fairly easily if you don't go at peak time. I would 100% recommend this if you are looking for a proper hostel experience.

We are biking across Europe. The owner of the hostel was really helpful in allowing us to accommodate our bikes in our room. The hostel was beautifully clean and we had a spacious room. I thoroughly recommend Ahoy hostel as a place to stay in Prague

The hostel itself is nice, themed rooms, a common area filled with books, games and opportunities for socialization. The staff and people in the hostel were amazing. Genuinely friendly and helpful. The nightly drinking games and clubbing were a joy as well to be a part of, so thank you! Would and already have gladly recommended the place to friends and will definitely be going back if and when I visit Prague again.

I loved this hostel. The rooms were nice and it was very safe. They have drinking games every night, and go out with everyone after. There are also free walking tours every morning. I went out with the hostel and felt very safe.

Enjoyed a brilliant stay at Ahoy! Hostel. Clean and tidy with comfortable beds and plenty of space. The location is fantastic. All facilities are modern and well maintained. Staff are very nice and helpful especially Adam who goes the extra mile. Also a special mention to the charming intern. The social atmosphere is another plus, met some cool people. Great value for money and I'll be back next time I visit Prague!

Best Hostel ever. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean area and very well placed. You can't go wrong. I stayed in an 8 bedroom mixed dork.

Amazing hostel with friendly staff. The rooms were nice and cozy, everything was very clean, the beds were actually comfortable. The location was perfect. Just a walk away from the old towns sights and grocery store. But the noise from the streets was very loud. All in all best hostel I've stayed in. Cheap and nice and cozy.

My experience at Ahoy! was definitely one for the books! The service provided by the staff was great. They provided us with maps that were informative and then they also gave us helpful information and tips. We stayed in a standard twin private which was great for two females. The facilities (bathrooms, kitchen, common room) were all great and clean. Even the other guests we meet while we were there were also very wonderful. The location was very central for us with the occasional long walks but there are many forms of transportation readily available. As someone who comes from the US, air conditioning was not available but at night the weather was nice enough to sleep with them open and sleep comfortably. Overall, great experience and would recommend to anyone traveling who is young or solo.

I stayed in Ahoy! with my 1 year old daughter (which was maybe the youngest guest). The hostel is very well located near city center but at the same time in a small side street. The staff was very friendly and helpful and in the common kitchen we could find everything we needed. We had a private room which was perfectly clean and close to the bathroom. We stayed just for one night but we can highly recommend it.

I've spent just one night at Ahoy! Hostel but I really loved it. The place was clean and it has a nice ambiance. All the staff was just brilliant!!! Especially Georgia, who was there when I arrived and when I left, was extremely helpful and kind. It's worth to try their dinner.

I love this hostel and would always chose it again when i am in town. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful, the bathrooms are good, the rooms are fine, location is very convenient (close to duplex), they offer activities every day, you can lend towels for cheap. But the best thing about this hostel are the kind of people you meet there

We stayed in this hostel a few weeks ago and it was great choice. Reception stuff is nice. Always ready for chat and to advice local tips. Rooms are large - Splash room. Nice and clean. With easy breakfast and family cooked dinners. Good spot for real backpackers.

The best location, friendly front desk staff, reasonably well behaved dorm mates. Due to location the noise from the streets is a bit loud. Can't really blame the dorm especially for the price. Highly recommended (provided you know what to expect from hostel accommodation)

Great experience, the staff is super friendly and helpful (cheers to Lea and Ondrej), and the hostel is very well located. The roommates were nice and quiet at night. The hostel offers many services: kitchen, washing machine... The place was clean overall. I can only recommend this hostel.

I don't have a lot of experience with hostels, but they were very friendly and offered a lot of activities! They said the tour of the city was free but then they expected that you gave them tips, so keep that in mind. Otherwise very clean and fresh!

Very good atmosphere, people here are very friendly, workers are much helpful and joyful. Also, they have very good price for a place very near to metro and Old Town. Two words: great place!

I stayed at Ahoy! for one month on a volunteer basis with them and I will tell you first hand, this place kicks a$$. It was one of my favorite experiences traveling. They have a great location close to all the action and amazing connections throughout Prague. If you stay there you will get access to the clubs they work with for half price (or sometimes 1/3 price!) plus amazing game nights hosted daily in their common room. The owners Ondrej and Petr will give you the scoop on where to find the best beer in Prague, great suggestions on day and night activities and if you have the time, really amazing locations for day trips outside Prague. Their hostel is also very clean as they have it serviced everyday.

This was my first time visiting Prague, and I have got to say this was one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in! The location is absolutely amazing, three minute walk into the old square and the room was very spacious! I was hesitant to book a 10 bed, but I’m glad I did. Everyone in the room was great and a bunch of us went out together! Just be aware that there is no elevator and it’s a wooden spiral staircase, so that’s the only con but it’s an old historical building so you can’t take off for that!

  • 5/5 josie g. 1 year ago on Google
Really fair prices, good beds, large rooms and clean bathrooms. the hostel makes an effort to be social and it did feel that way, with free walking tours in the mornings and social nights every evening. the kitchen has all the utensils you’d need to make a really good dinner as well.

  • 5/5 Viktoriia K. 5 months ago on Google • 1 review
That was basically my best experience with the hostels! The staff was super friendly- they even agreed to check in me in like early morning, gave me towels for free and even for free gave me the bottle of beer (hopefully I’ll sleep better with that haha). I would highly recommend this place to stay! Thank you and greetings from Ukraine 💙💛
