Hi Visited Prague for the weekend and stayed at hostel elf. The staff was amazing and welcoming. There was a free dinner ben cooked and everyone sat down together to eat which made it really easy to meet people. Loved staying here. Definitely recommend

A decent hostel to stay in when traveling Prague. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the showers are great (mostly in the lowest floor near the kitchen since those are the newest). The hostel crew is super helpful and I loved the interactions with them - willing to help with anything and just nice people in general. Anna and the Spanish guy that works there (can’t remember the name now) are awesome (: They’re are 2 downsides - the hostel is too far from the city center (30 mins of a fast walk) and the vibe which is way more chill then what you ought expect (region or a party hostel). Have fun!!

Ive stayed in 10 different hostels in the last 4 years, this was, by far, the worst. Dirty, old, very noisy and unpleasent. i stayed 3 days there trying to sleep between 23 to 7, well, every night got awake 3/4 times because of people partying and entering/leaving the room between 2/6 AM. Location wasnt terrible, but you need to walk around 20 min from city centre which isnt ideal either. From my opinion you will only enjoy this hostel if you come with 2 or more friends, expecting to drink alcohol most part of the day and partying every night, but if you want to do a different kind of tourism, this is not your place.

Where to begin.. if I have to sum it up, awesome experience! So I traveled with 2 friends (25-32) for 2 nights. The location is very good cause it's right next to the central bus station and there's a bus stop in front of the hostel. Plus in the same block you can find options for breakfast, lunch, quick bites, groceries, etc. The rooms and the toilets were always clean and generally taken care of frequently. Each bed has a curtain (which for me is a huge plus), 2 plugs and a bed light. The sound isolation is also worth praising, except from the windows which due to the warm temperatures we left them open but again it was never too loud. In the rooms there are also lockers where you can store your stuff. The staff was very friendly and helpful for anything you might need for your stay. They are all a bunch of happy, friendly and warm hearted dudes, with whom we always had some fun and nice conversations in the outdoors area. Special thanks to Johnny who gave us few tips for the less touristic, but much more authentic places to visit, and had so much fun with! I think I speak on behalf of all 3 of us when I say, we'd totally recommend this hostel and for sure stay again in our next visit to Prague. Cheers ✌🏽

I recommend staying at hostel Elf. The kitchen is well equipped with a big dining table next to it, perfect for meeting folks. There are curtains in the rooms which is always a plus in a shared room setting. I met people both nights that I was there and made new friends to go out with. The common area outside is absoutely perfect for socializing, the beer at reception helps too ;). Stay here and have fun.

Very nice place and staff! Would recommend it. Access could be better (steep narrow stairs, no dedicated parking). If you are coming by car I would recommend you first trying to park in the white zone in front of the place - during weekend it's free almost all the time (Saturday 8:00 - 12:00 it costs 1.6 EUR / hour).

Johnny was by far the most accommodating kind person I've ever met in a hostel. He was very interactive and very kind and very helpful. He seriously makes the hostel 10/10. He also cooked a vegan curry which I didn't expect as I'm vegan. He accommodated this knowing that there were vegans in hostel and made this instead of Mac and cheese, The gesture and kindness was there 100%. I said it! free food! The hostel was really lovely and easy to engage and make friends with people I had a really great time. I felt right at home! Thanks again Johnny!

Located within walking distance from the bus station, Hostel Elf is great The only thing bad about it was the walk up those damned steps on an extremely hot day, with all my luggage. A bit of warning would have helped! But, nonetheless, the staff here (especially Barbara) were fantastic. The rooms were clean and the beers were cold. Half a litre of beer for 35 Koruna. Cocktails for 70. How cheap is that? Well, ten Aussie dollars bought a hell of a lot! It is across the road from an all night delicatessen, and you can get to anywhere very easily from here. A great place to stay.

What can I say about these guys, we came here on the 14th of April on a stag with 10 people and we stayed for 4 days. The place was immaculately clean, the other guests were all very friendly and respectful of each other’s/ communal spaces but the real hero’s were the manager Johnny and his colleague Tereza. They really made our whole trip much more enjoyable with their professionalism as well as a pair of really friendly faces. I like to think we as a group made friends for life with the people we met here and we honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. I was apprehensive about staying in a hostel but really glad we did! Do the bar crawl it’s good fun! Thank you for having us guys, we’ll be back for sure :)

Great staff, lovely low-key vibe and really well connected location. Couldn’t recommend more highly! It’s perfect if you want somewhere to meet new young people from all over the world. They run trips out and have BBQs every other night. Thanks Elf team :)

This hostel is a lot of fun. The location is great and the staff was super friendly... even when we rolled in from the club at 4am. The toilets and showers were always clean. They have a nice patio to hang out on.

I've been to a lot of Hostels, but I have to say that this was my favorite so far. The people there were so friendly and welcoming, the kitchen was nice, also the garden and the place to sit outside was beautiful and full of plants. A perfect hostel for travelers who are interested in meeting people from all over the world. Highly recommended!

Apart from the great location and affordable prices, this hostel provides something that other just can't: the heartwarming experience of truly meaningful encounters. The Elf Hostel is terrible. There was blood in my bed sheets when I arrived, the smell was awful, the people in the front desk were racist with me and my friends and there is a insane amount of spiders and bugs inside the place. (I mean BIG spiders) IF YOU WANT TO ENJOY PRAGUE DONT GO TO THE ELF HOSTEL. good luck travelers PD. Its not very relevant, but the doors had a very erotic and mysterious art that really had me uncomfortable in the night. (you can see it in the attached photo)

The third oldest Prague hostel. With unique atmosphere for those who are looking for true traveller's experience. Perfectly located near Main Train station and short walking distance from downtown.

Friendly and welcoming hosts and great chilled out atmosphere. We stayed here as a group of 12 during a stag weekend. Would recommend grabbing a pizza from the place downstairs!!

One of my best Hostel experiences so far. The Hostel was very social, clean and offered a lot of different activities like Pub-Crawls or Free BBQ. Staff was very friendly and always had an open ear if you needed something. If I come back to Prague I will stay at this place again for sure ;)

I met so many incredible people and had a very comfortable, enjoyable stay!! - the booking & check-in process was easy - safe, hostel had a coded gate, plus keycards for each room - the staff was personable, friendly and helpful (offered great local recommendations as well) - very clean/well maintained + good facilities (well-stocked kitchen, many bathrooms and showers, free towel rentals, paid laundry services available) - super social – the hostel runs a pub crawl and bbq & great shared/social spaces (Outdoor patio/garden area) - free coffee & tea, and breakfast is also offered for ~60ck (2 pounds) per day Bonus: their friendly & adorable hostel cat, Obi <3 the only issues were that the wifi wasn't great, and I didn't realize the hostel was cash only, but neither of those are a big deal by any means. thank you so much to the whole Hostel Elf team! 🤗

I stayed in Elf Hostel as a solo traveler for a few days. It was an amazing experience - Friendly staff, nice and clean rooms, chill atmosphere. It was really easy to make new friends over there. Great hostel.

Best hostel in Prague. Don't worry about the distance from the old town because the public transport is very convinient. Traveled alone and it was the best experience ever. I also recommend the pub crawl that this hostel is organizing.

Generally speaking it's ok, what you see is what you get. I had a regular experience with my bed, the only one in the room without courtain, and they never minded to fix it in the whole 5 days I stayed. Also, the internet service is quite poor. The proximity to the Old Town, however, is a plus.

There was music until 4 am from a club below so we couldn’t sleep. I asked for help to the recepcionist and he was polite and trying to be helpful but in his words “I can’t do anything if the sound comes from outside the hostal” If you want to be able to sleep after a day of traveling dont come here

Really great hostel for solo female travellers! I felt very safe and comfortable. The staff are great, and really go out of their way to make sure your enjoying your stay. The garden is a lovely spot to get to know everyone staying at the hostel. I never had a dull moment. The place was clean and tidy. Only problem is that the cleaners will come into your room without knocking. You can easily hop the 207 straight into old town or walk. Good spot for some restaurants, cafes and a stop shop.

Johnny is the best he really made our stay unforgettable! Atmosphere amazing! Terrace was great! Free BBQ! Beds comfy! Very clean hostel easy to meet people too! I would 100% stay again!

We were here with our university society March 2023 - fantastic hostel! Great price, very homely, the staff was very helpful. Would definitely recommend for groups visiting. Stairs tho.

Prices are awesome. Athmosphere is super casual. Terrace is great. You have all equipment from a shower to a locker for ur stuff. Receptionists are chill and the community events are fkn great. Will come again in summer :D

Top notch. I felt in this place so welcome. I came suddenly without plan for 2 nights. Stayed 6 nights instead, hospitality of the stuff and Prague itself wouldn't let me go. Me and 2 friends spent 4 days in Prague, and we stayed at Hostel Elf. The location is not far from city center, the rooms and bathrooms were properly clean, and the kitchen has all the tools needed to cook every meal needed. Nonetheless, I think what stands out the most about Hostel Elf is the staff. We were always properly received by everyone, and there was even a free dinner in one of the days we spent there. A special thanks to Ben and José, who made sure we had a great time, and were one of the best staff people I’ve came across the different hostels I’ve been. I’ll for sure come back, it was a pleasure!

Hostel Elf was an amazing place, my friend and I had an amazing stay and we loved it so much that we had to extend it two more nights to keep enjoying the fun. Ben and Egor are amazing workers at the hostel. They are such personable people, Ben cooked amazing meals for everyone and Egor brought the vibes and made everyone feel comfortable. The other workers were so friendly and helpful but these were the ones that I talked with the most. Such a family vibe at this hostel, everyone always down to chat and hangout which is how it should be. I’m obsessed with this place and the people. I’ll be back.

Easily my favourite hostel I’ve stayed at. From the rooms to the service to the welcoming staff, I had an amazing time staying here. Great for solo travellers as there’s almost always something going on in the common area. If you’re lucky enough to stay there while Ben is working there you’re almost guaranteed an awesome night of fun. Free dinners for the whole hostel on Wednesdays and Saturdays too which really gets everyone talking and meeting new people with great food too. Wouldn’t recommend any other hostel while staying in Prague.
