Horrible, horrible place! Very dirty bathrooms and horrible kitchen, but unfortunately that's not the worst thing about this hostel... One of the "long-term guests" (as I was told) is a local guy who is every day drunk (or on drugs) and he sleeps in the reception room (which is meant to be used as an area shared by all) every single night!!! He is practically terrorizing all other guests and nobody can have a good night sleep because of him... Constant shouting, swearing, burping and doing many other rude and disgusting things which I will not mention here... Why the owner of the hostel is not throwing him out is beyond me!!!?? None of the other guests dares to confront him because he is very aggressive, so after a couple of days I simply decided to leave and find some normal accommodation... Luckily that wasn't so hard, since Prague has many better places to offer. The only positive thing I can say about this hostel is that location is ok. Unfortunately without a good night sleep, being close to the center is really meaningless... You just constantly feel tired and exhausted.... To conclude, I really can not recommended Bonvolon - especially for GIRLS TRAVELING ALONE!!!

If you're looking for a place to dump your stuff and return to shower and sleep, then this is the place for you. However, if you need to spend the day indoors for whatever reason, then you notice the quality of your choice. Hot water will run out quickly (not a problem in summer, but not super comfortable in other seasons), missing toiletries and kitchen utensils as well as very little in the way of cleaning items. Be prepared to supply a lot of your own things. Other than that, the rooms are decent and your sleep will be fine if you're not accustomed to 5 star accommodation. The location is the best thing about the hostel. Right in the heart of Prague, you will be able to travel anywhere on foot or tram. Recommended for the busy Traveller.

This is definitely a hostel. I was however in a 3 bed apt., shared bath and fully equipped kitchen. What a bonus. Close to lots if tourist sites and tram for easy transport. You can walk here from the main bus station

Don't settle for less especially when you travel alone. The lockers here are not safe!!! Somebody stole my stuffs and found my bag on top of the Tank (in WC), all zippers opened. Much better if you book a Room with no one else!

Nice private room in an apartment, clean, good bed. The only bad thing is that their reception is not always open. If you arrive late you have to call a number and they ask extra money.

The shared room is very old and the check in /check out times are very strict. However the location of the place is quite convenient. If you get one of the private rooms is way better, in another building that is no that old.

Basic but thats exactly what we expected for the money. Clean and tidy and ideal location with only a short walk to the old town and bar/restaurants etc Would recommend if you after a cheap central hostel stop off.

Big rooms, clean, old. Second floor without elevator. Shared restroom, equiped kitchen. Personnel OK, but could be more helpful. Little bit overpriced.

This hostel is disgusting. My friend literally almost vomited when she looked at the owen thing in our room. Dirty, smelly, dark room in the basement with a view to the wall of the next building. There is no microwawe oven, mirror, toilet paper in the studio apartment. The bedding had - I really don't want to know what kind of - stains on it. The employees were rude. We asked for a new clean bedding and a mirror and they did nothing. Only one lady helped us and gave a mirror in 2 minutes, but she doesn't speak english so we had to play phantomime. There were no one in the reception at 9:45. They are open 9:00-18:00. They never answer to phone calls. There is a fine if you cancel the reservation. Booking.com customer service wasn't helpful at all. We really liked the Natascha Kampusch themed escape room (they call it studio apartment). If you would like to stay in an accomodation which gives you the feeling of being close to the mother nature, this one is for you! The bed has it's own fauna, if you are patient and brave enough, you can find new species of spiders behind it! We found extra clothes next to the wardrobe, unfortunatelly we don't like to wear dirty baby clothes with spider webs from the 90's so we left it there, you can find it. The hostel is in the central anyways. Everything is 20 mins walk distance. The non-english speaker lady in the reception was cute and helpful.

👍 A lot of + with one -. This is a very good place for the price (about 26€ or 650 czk/night/person in a room for two people). There is a good kitchen, refrigerator, showers, possibility for laundry and for printing documents, and a nice breakfast. Lidl is right across the street and the Viktoria Žiž...
