This used to be the best beerhouse in Prague - but expectations are higher now and standards have shifted. Beer is still great, food is ok, but service is a bit lacking and forcing people to pay in cash is simply just not pleasant experience.

Friendly staff, good bear Zlatá labuť 11°. Tasty burger with fries. But the pickled hermelín was neither ripe nor spicy at all. They shall make the aircon stronger since the kitchen refried oil smell impregnates your clothes and hair once you drink only 2 beers in this pub. It is really a good place to drink smaller breweries beers. The place could be cleaner and their tables need some fresh paint.

A cool local beer house that underwent recent renovations. The name is literally translated, "bad times" Czech humor is dark so that's their way of riffing off of the whole Cheers show thing. When you go inside the simple door that you walk in leads to the stairwells that go downstairs and some that go upstairs hallways that wind around this place actually sprawls. There's different bars to drink at with different menus; you should know that there is actually a beer garden upstairs if you go far enough. I actually think the subterranean downstairs bar is probably the coolest escape.

One of the best beers in Prague. Definitely not one of those places that are labelled “for tourists” only. It felt great to discover a place that is not flooded with foreign people but native ones mostly. Very democratic prices for beer. Friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyed my time a lot.

Came back here after a vacation 7 years ago and I still love the place. Now that I moved to Prague I know I'll keep visiting. Not as crowded as before, the top floor and the basement is closed yet still they serve fantastic beer and one of the best burgers I've ever had. Place is cash only do better prepare for this in advance.

Absolutely delicious burger and fried camembert cheese. Prices are so good, and the beer is outrageous 😂 😍! Highly recommend. Cash only!!!!

Nice and cosy place with an excellent selection of beers. The food is also fantastic here. Service is fast and willing to help with a selection from the wide variety of beers. A huge disadvantage is that they do not accept card payments, only cash.

Consists of couple of bars, each having different special beers (that they make themselves!!!). Excellent czech food. But not many healthy/veggie options. Also I would recommend reservations. And it's cash only.

Came to this place with close to no expectations as I'm not much into beer, more so Czech beer. It ended up being very pleasant surprise. They got some ciders and wine as well, and selection of soft drinks and liquors, kitchen runs till 9:30 PM. The atmosphere is really cozy and the staff is absolutely terrific. If you're in the area and looking for a place for a meal or a drink, give this place a try.

It is crowded on Friday nights. Hard to find a table if you do not have reservation. I strongly recommend Bad Flash Lost Chance if you like IPA (85CZK 0.5L 07.01.23 price).

A surprisingly huge joint. Lots of good biers on tap though, many craft brewery and BUDVAR so gotta be, right? I did not have any food (regrettably, I really should have), but their kitchen is mostly open so you could see it all being prepared. Looked good, so that's a win too. If you're thinking of visiting, just do it.

Our favourite bar so far in Prague, really nice vibe with great beers and food.. the chicken wings and czech potato salad were great. Staff were nice, will probably be coming back during the rest of our stay :)

The beer menu changes everyday and they are tasty and economical. Recommended. Only problem is that THEY TAKE CASH.

This bar has 3 levels with an excellent range of taped beers on the ground level and even more on offer in the basement. Food excellent too and top marks for no smoking. Service was excellent and worth the travel. We picked up the number 18 tram from Narodni Treda

Service was slow, the poor girl needed more help to get to all customers. Also my food never came, they forgot my order and gave us different types of beers, then we ordered. It looks like a nice place, if only there would be more staff to help out on the floor.

The food was excellent, the staff very friendly. We came for goulash, which unfortunately they didn't have, but we ate ribs and wings and it was one of the best we ate in Prague. Any recommendation!

Busy, popular. Good food choices. Was cash only when I went. Well worth it. Nice cellar bar is booked out early

Cash only! They accept EUR but will give you change in CZK! Great selection of mostly Czech craft beers on tap on 3 different levels of the establishment. Snacks and food are great as well (we've tried the burger, ribs, fried cheese, pickled sausage, picked chili cheese - everything was great). Staff is welcoming and attentive. Prices are reasonable. One of the best bars in Prague so far.

Quirky bar with a cosy atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit, but be aware that they don't take cards, only cash

It was something different from the overcrowded touristic restaurants you can find in the city center. No one will stare at you with a serious face asking for a tip, the food is not cooked the day before and served in 3 minutes (you can’t even make a salad in 3 minutes), the staff was very friendly, human. That was the most genuine food experience I had in Prague.

Great traditional Czech pub with a wooden interior and an interesting changing beer selection. The food is good but the chicken burger is absolutely outstanding.

Beer selection for Czechia is decent, but a bit too much pilsner (which is good, but available everywhere). Has a fridge downstairs with some very good (and relatively rare) Belgian beer (e.g., Cantillon, Beersel, Tilquin) for a good price. Bartender spoke zero English.

Great bar! Due to COVID, I haven't seen the place at it's full potential, but even still the meal was lovely and the beer on offer is great. The atmosphere (wooden traditional pub) adds to the experience.

Pub with great food and beer! The schnitzel was especially good. They were playing some pretty good metal too!

Friendly staff. Amazing choices of beer on tap. Real local experience. Delicious Czech food /03.06.2019

Loved it, the service was kind and nice, good choice of beer and alcohol. Only shame was they accept only cash but if you are ready but if you are prepared, there is no problem :)

  • 4/5 Richard B. 2 years ago on Google
Great, classic beer place but it is a pity that currently only one floor is in operation. I look forward to see all floors open again.

Good ambience, good beer ,but the food could be more fresh ,the meat was a bit smelly and same for the potatoes salade .

Excellent Czech pub, great food and nice service.

Good service but charged extra 50kc for chips with a schnitzel and 35kc for ketchup, and wasn't told these basic things would be extra. Just a bit of a rip off place unfortunately. But good beer.

👍👍 For me, the best place to eat in Prague. Not only drinks, but also foods arrive at your table on trains. On some tables, trains return to even take empty plates! On top of that - the food is delicious, same goes for drink. The staff is very kind and polite. I definitely recommend this place.
