A pleasant surprise in the very heart of the city, if you don't look closely enough, you might (dis)miss it. Which would be a shame. Feels like you've stepped into the past, and a knight might challenge you for a duel! Personnel very sweet, dinner excellent. Would recommend, will definitely visit again when in the area.

A gem, hidden away from a main street on a stairs. Authentic medieval atmosphere with attention to details, nice selection of well prepared food and super friendly and attentive service from the owner lady herself, who's owned the place for more that a decade. There are other places around that pretend to be "medieval" but those that I've seen are cheap touristy reap-offs and this is the only one worth visiting.

This is an interessting and lovely place. It looks pretty normal from the outside, but after you enter it, you will be fascinated. It's dark and looks medieval. You have a fireplace and a medieval interior. Food is cheap and you have a huge selection. Also good beer selection. 60 Kronen for a beer. Friendly staff and also clean toilets. It's wonderful and I will come again.

The best place in Prague! Incredibly delicious food and cozy atmosphere. Very wonderful hostess of this place. Now, when we come to Prague, we will always go to this place! Highly recommend!

Awesome place to treat yourself after a long day. Great staff (unusually friendly compared to other restaurants), serving both traditional and more creative dishes, vegetarian dishes available, great homemade lemonade, Mead cocktail, and beer of course. Pork ribs, beef goulash, are yummy. Fire dancing on Fri and Sat evenings.

Fantastic experience. The staff worked towards providing for our every need (despite our lack of linguistic knowledge of the area). One of the few locations that had a recommended (by German friends) Krušovice beer. Great gem!

We intended to walk by, but the location piqued our interest. We had some linguistic issues, but we got by. We were able to eat because of the wonderful service. The atmosphere is fantastic. The food tastes weird, but when you consider that we are currently in "mediaeval" times, everything is OK.

Amazing food and staff. Traditional Czech food. Homemade, fresh and very tasty. Reasonably priced as well. The lady that served me was very lovely and helpful. I loved it so much I came back the second day! Definitely recommend and will come back if I am in Prague. I had a vegetarian soup and pancakes made with sauerkraut and the second day I had goulash. All were delicious.

One of the best dinners we had in Prague in a very interesting place such as this. The concept is medieval, low light and candles, very different than other restaurants! A bit hidden from the main street, but definitely worths a visit. Food was really tasty, we had cabbage soup, potato wedges and svichova.

We have been coming to Jaroslava for years whenever we are in Prague. She is a very nice and friendly owner. The food tastes very good, the mead is fantastic. Visit Jaroslava in her Taverne if you are near the castle you will not be disappointed.

Very nice place to grab some drinks, the decoration of the place is on point makes you feel like in a real medieval tavern ;). We grabbed some drinks and some snacks very tasty. Also have to say that the girl serving that day was very polite. Highly recommend it if you are around town!!

One of the best places we've been in Prague. The atmosphere was amazing. The food was delicious. If you're looking for a quiet place to sit and enjoy a conversation by the fire, you've got the jackpot. Every dish we had, was excellent and we tried most of the menu. After hiking up and down the city and taking in the sights, me and my girlfriend were hungry and looking for a place to eat. Initialy we passed by this place but eventually decided to go in as it looked like a cool place to be after a day in the sun. We were pleasently surprised, the staff was nice, the decor was interesting (who doesn't like dinner in candle light) the food was VERY tasty and it didn't break the bank. I definitely reccomend it!

What a nice stay here in November 2021, the atmosphere was just right and the inside so cozy! It felt like a time travel. The food and the service were amazing, i hope soon the fire shows will be back as well! The restaurant is also bigger than one would expect 😉 Highly recommended! Greetings, Mike
