A place where I have to pop up for a beer every time I visit Prague. The best beer in town. Good food as well. Hard to get place and let’s be clear… tourists are not really welcomed there with arms wide opened. But that’s make a unique atmosphere over there. Place that could be my only purpose for visiting Prague even for just couple of hours. Before you make your first visit make sure you checked out the history of this place.

Great beer bar centrally located in Prague. They have only one type of beer on tap I believe but it was amazing. I had three! We also ordered the sausage dish to share. They sat us at a table with another couple so don’t be surprised if you’re thrust into close quarters with people you don’t know at a communal table. We got along really well with a couple visiting from Amsterdam and had a really nice time! Don’t expect to be wowed by the friendliness of the staff, but still a great place you should check out if you have the time. Minus one star for being cash only. Nothing ruins a nice meal like having to run to the nearest atm to close out your bill.

Well known pub in historical center of Prague with great beer and Czech food for good prices. You can feel here original non touristy beer culture. It's better to make reservation or come during non busy time, because it is small and very often packed with locals and some tourists who likes to eat and drink beer like locals.

I believe this pub doesn't deserve the high rating it has. The staff is extremely unfriendly; they hardly engage with guests. My impression is that tourists are unwelcome; at least, that's how they treat them. The concept is interesting, but I wouldn't go back there for sure.

I'm usually not a fan of pubs that feel very old timey and don't seem the cleanest, but this is an exception - the atmosphere is totally unique and you truly feel like taken back in time. The staff doesn't really talk to you and can't be called nice, but in this place it strangely fits and just adds to the experience. It really is a place just for a beer (and they just keep bringing you new ones without asking you - if you don't want any more, you need to cover your glass).

Classic old school beer hall located in the heart of Pragues old tow. There's no music - just the noisy jingling of glasses and the chatter of the, predominantly local, patrons. You get seated where an empty chair is available and within seconds the waiter serves a beer - no questions asked. You are expected to drink, because that's what this establishment is for. It just feels lovely - out of a different time - rough and charming at the same time.

One of the few ‘old Czech’ pubs left- especially in the Old Town. Historic and proud of it. Take a seat - you’ll probably have to share with a local - your beer will appear, enjoy and repeat. Cash only.

Great neighborhood pub with excellent food! The jalapeños with blue cheese are AMAZING!! Very spicy and delicious. Goulash is very good and the sausages are better than most!

An absolute shame!! Excellent beer, decent food, decent prices. So it seems.. How could it be than that three different groups at two different tables (Czech and foreign) were all significantly overcharged?? An accident? I don't think so.. No card payment possible, no final bill offered, so no trace.. I used to come here regularly, but no more! So be aware! Record your prices before you order or don't come here. Thumbs down big time for this kind of behaviour!!

This is THE pub in Prague 🥇 Often very busy, it's a vibrant traditional pub with quick service, Czech food classics and a beer you will fall in love with.

The flying tiger is a mad dash back in time You sit. They bring you delicious fresh draft beer. Only one kind. They bring more. You pay. Classic boisterous loud pub. Didn’t even realize there was a menu.

I had a fantastic time at this pub with a real Czech atmosphere. The waiter was attentive, bringing me a new beer as soon as he saw my glass was empty. Despite being busy, they served the beer quickly and efficiently. The food was delicious and exceeded my expectations. One of the things I loved about this place was feeling like a local. The atmosphere was welcoming and I met some interesting people. I highly recommend this pub for anyone looking for an authentic Czech experience and some of the best beer around. Five stars!

Food is ok. Beer is lovely. Staff is not the most welcoming but still it’s a great experience. You most likely will be sharing tables with others (which we loved) worth mentioning it’s CASH only

This is exactly what I wanted in Prague, great food and cold beer. It is more like a beer hall, which is wonderful! More locals too. The goulash was fantastic! Remember to read the sign, cash only.

Legendary pub. Lighting fast service, waiter is like a hawk watching all the tables, if he sees an empty glass you got it immediately changed for full one, lovely atmosphere and great food, for good price ofc

If you only go to one place in Prague, make it here. Leave your reservations at the door and have a Pilsner or six with the locals. Don't forget to put your coaster on top of your glass to show you're finished or the beers will keep coming!

One of Prague’s most iconic pubs in old downtown. It is almost impossible to get place here. Visited mainly by regular local guests. The staff has its own specific way of dealing with endless inflow of tourists and guests with special wishes. This is a place with heritage and prefering things as they were (in a good way) vs new and trendy.

Local place that offers original Czech food. Very nice bread and roastbiff, decent portions and prices are super affordable for the great quality, warm service straight to the point!

Probably the funniest, truly local, busiest and with greatest atmosphere in old Town. There is only one option of beer and you will be given another glass as soon as you're about to finish one. It is not a place to take your time on drinking, but it is worth for a few rounds. The vibe inside is amazing,, with locals spanning from late 20s to late 70s. Totally recommended

One of the most cozy, crowded little Prague city center pubs. As it is quite popular and full of real regulars, it is quite difficult and stressful to get to a place. It is worth arriving at the opening, or visiting the place with a small group of 2-3 people. Once you’ve managed to get a table (typically shared with other companies) and be able to keep up with the fast pace dictated by the waiters by drinking beer, you can have a real and unforgettable local experience. With the gentle barbarians. Bust of Hrabal opposite the entrance.

Special back street ethnic bar in Prague.. I recommend you take a wander of the beaten track to find the place. Great atmosphere, excellent service and friendly staff. Great beer and food. Superb value. And you get to chat to people from all over the world.

One of the latest typical places in the city center. Very authentic: don't expect English, very "old" atmosphere and you cannot pay with card (but you can in Euro). They will choose you where you can sit, probably in a table with other people. Absolutely recommended.

Best place I had on my trip to Prague!!! I have the snails and the rabbit and I was blown away. For the price I feel this was amazing food. First time having snails and I am glad I took the dive here. Just amazing. As for the rabbit I would happily say It was the best I have ever had. My wife have salmon and then goulash. Presentation and taste was 10/10. They claim the goulash is best in town and that a claim I would happily stand over. Service was nothing short of perfect. 10/10 can't wait to return

Very nice place & very authentic. The food was really good: we had jalapeños, steak tartar and roast beef! We really recommend it! You could feel the Chzech Spirit & the beer was really amazing.

Definitely a must visit! You don't even have to order drinks. They bring a beer immediately. As soon as it is empty, it takes less than a minute to get a new one without asking for it. When you are done, put the coaster on your glass. The Roastbeef is nice too and fits well with the beer

Great place, great beer, very nice food. The place frequented by Hrabal and with big, burly barman behind the counter. Go and enjoy your pictures of beer. Just remember you cannot pay by card there.

We wanted to enter the place and the waiter did not even speak to us, he directly slammed the door in our faces as the place was full. he was rude, I don't recommend !

The best service I've ever whitnessed in my entire life. The 3 Czech giga chads working the bar will provide you with your next pint 30 seconds after finishing your current one. Just be aware they only have 1 beer on tap and they will probably throw you through the wall into next door if you try ordering something else, but even if that happened it'd still be a worthwhile, genuine Czech experience for any forileign tourist.

Little cosy restaurant tucked away off one of the busiest streets. Really good food, service and atmosphere. Reasonable prices too and the Czech plate was delicious.

The best. Excellent quality pilsner. Great service (yes it’s true they might not speak English but if you want that go somewhere else). Simply excellent pub and it’s an example of how pubs should be in Prague.
