I went with friends. The food was nice, I had the roasted pork shank (pečené vepřové koleno) which was big and super tasty (1,5 kg) so I can only speak positively about their kitchen. It was a bit problematic that they only accept cash, but this neighbourhood for some reason had a lot of non card accepting places. The others were also satisfied with their meals. BUT... The service was terrible and this is no way to treat a guest, probably just because we were foreigners and tourists. The waitress came, only to our table and demanded that we go in and pay for our meal, while other tables were still being served. Not asking if we would like to order anything else (there was still plenty of time before closing). They also had the audacity to automatically decide how much tip we shoul give, not returning the change when we paid. When we asked for the difference, they were unmannered and threw a 100 cz-crown bill on the counter like some garbage, with some snotty remarks. So to sum up, great food, terrible service and staff.

Nice but busy place for Pilsner beer and Czech food. Better to make reservation. It is possible to sit inside and outside. Dog friendly. Moderate prices.

I've eaten here twice recently, sitting outside both times. The beer is excellent and the pork knuckle was great. I wish there was more horseradish, however. In nice weather the outdoor seating is crowded and getting a table is not assured.

Friendly atmosphere, crowded by locals. Quick and excellent service. A couple of beers, wine, beef tartar, duck.and a pig knee. Food was just great. The tartar Tasted fresh and was great together with toasted bread, garlic. The duck was enormous and had a extraordinary flavour to the red cabbage. Pig knee, well if the duck was enormous this was a monster. 1.5kg pure joy. An extraordinary fried outer, just like candy and a meat inside that just fall apart. A place to revisit. Just over 1100 check

The waiter super rude, very bad attitude, not flexible at all, he was very disrespectful. It's a pity because the place looks nice. But won't come here ever again.

Perl of Prague, one of the best place. Tastiest pork knee with crunchy surface. Duck, perfect, just perfect. Place for locals not touristic.

Visiting Prague for the first time, recommended to come here by a local friend. My last evening, came the whole way from center in half an hour. The waiter says cash only, pin machine doesn’t work. Also doesn’t except Euro. I am so upset and didn’t feel heard. What a loss for me and them. Cannot give any star to the food since the service is my only experience in this place.

The price is above average but the portion of food compensate the price. The service is super attentive and friendly and the quality of the food is excellent. If I want to eat Czech food this is my favorite choice.

Really nice meal - řízek and smažák (schnitzel and breadcrumbed cheese). Hearty portions. Nice garlic soup too. Menu in Czech and English. Friendly chilled staff.

We arrived pretty early so got a table without issue. The service was really good so we never had to wait for drinks which was ideal as the beer was perfect. We opted for the garlic soup as a starter then shared a pork knee that was cooked to perfection.

A czech friend of ours in Prague recommended this place to us for a traditional pork-knee dish. Lovely lady gave us a good explanation about the dish. Very good dish, great portion for two, local cozy atmosphere in karlin neighborhood. Give a try!

The roast Pork knee... oh wow!! Delicious. Simply the best ever. Friendly service, old world charm.. but the pork knee.. man!! Crisp skin, fall of the bone flesh, yum accompaniment of pickles and horseradish.. the plate of food couldn't have been more perfect. Loved it. Totally worth the ratings. If back in Prague.. I am definitely coming back for seconds..

The food was good and the portion was big, also the service was friendly. Turkey leg is their specialty which is a bit too large for 1 person. It can be shared by two or even 3 persons.

The pork knee was recommended to me as 'the best in Prague' and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was joyful and the staff was quite helpful. Highly recommend this restaurant for the ambiance and the excellent food. Try the roasted pork knee or the beef navel as a main course and you won't be disappointed.

The best restaurant ever. Amazing service, amazing food, amazing everything. The service is the best I’ve ever experienced. Whenever we are in Prague this is the first place we visit and I cannot recommend this establishment more. It is an absolute must!

👍👍 For me, the best place to eat in Prague. Not only drinks, but also foods arrive at your table on trains. On some tables, trains return to even take empty plates! On top of that - the food is delicious, same goes for drink. The staff is very kind and polite. I definitely recommend this place.
