This hole-in-the-wall pub was an excellent find. We had the place to ourselves (early dinner). The food was tasty and well cooked. Service was friendly and fast. Recommended!

We stayed in a hotel in front of Diversion. Seeing in everyday, while leaving the hotel finally we decided to give it a try. The staff is amazingly friendly and warm. It is hard to write a reference about the food as my friend and I being vegetarian did not have many options to choose from (in general centra and eastern European cuisines are heavily based on meat). I ordered the burger. There was no patty, just vegetables stacked in between the bun; thus it was not the tastiest veg burger I have had in my life. Edit for the owner as I cannot reply: patty is a small flat cake of minced or finely chopped food, be it meat or vegetables

Such a nice and cozy place. The guy taking orders was really funny and friendly. Whole vibe of the place was just incredible and it was a pleasure to eat there. The food was also really good. There was an option for gluten free pasta with other ingredients of choice. The price was also pretty reasonable and we spent less than 1000kc for lunch fo 4 ppl. I highly recommend this place :)

Again great, 3 different homemade soups for lunch garlic, Ukrainian vegetable, beef one with noodles, and soft main dishes. Available seats outside under umbrella. World Hockey Championship on TV later on today. Great! 👍🥣🍲🙋🍻🏒

I trusted Maps and went there because of the good rating it had. Unfortunately it was a mirage, because it doesn't say that the owner/man who works there is a bit rude and unfriendly. (EDIT TO REPLY) It's good that you remember me. Anyone can understand not having room for another guest who arrives without a reservation, what I can't understand is your rude way of handling guests, and that's precisely what I have no patience for.

Cozy bistro in Prague. The burger I had was outstanding (Spicy Burger). Beef soup was tasty as well. Great atmosphere and outstanding service (very friendly). Will come back for sure!!

The spicy goulash was very good! The dumplings soaked up the gravy perfectly. 🤤

This is apparently the place that popular Czech movie director Milos Forman loved to hang out in. The place is family owned with a very tasty czech-international cuisine. Pasta is amazing and beer as good as anywhere and even veggie burger is delicious - something uncommon for a typical czech bistro. Will come again next time we are in Prague.

Clearly the old man behind the bar does not like his life and can not stand customers. The look of when we walked in was pure disgust, not sure if it was because we were foreigners or had two kids, or the fact that when we walked in we may have left a little bit of snow on the floor. Easy fix old man….get a mat. Anyway we planned to eat a meal and due to the cold response we received I politely asked if we could sit down in case we arrived at a bad time. There were only two tables taken up. He grunted and pointed to a table. I decided not to eat there as we had not received such bad hospitality since we have been in this beautiful city.. We have eaten just around the corner from the restaurant at Hell smoke Bbq and Meduzzy. The staff were amazing and actually made you feel so welcome. Two positives for the place is the food looks amazing. The blonde lady who appeared to be serving food appeared warm and friendly and looked like she was the only one keeping the restaurant afloat. The other one was reading the comments on the negative reviews the old man leaves when you review the place.. priceless! When it was time to pay, I advised the old man we would have loved to have stayed for a meal but he made us feel so uncomfortable and he just shrugged. When we walked out you could see the glow in his eyes thinking…..Yes another bad review. He clearly needs to let the lovely lady that is serving food to be working at the front. The old man needs to get out the back as he clearly does not like anyone and is bothered by anyone walking through his door daring to drink any alcohol or eat any meal. I am looking forward to your review old man as this is clearly the only thing you look forward to in life.

This place was a big disappointment. I don't know, who has written the reviews. The food was something, that we could do at home and with better results. The portions were small and overpriced. The meat in the burger was undercooked. If we weren't as hungry as we were, we wouldn't have eaten the food. Not recommended.

Fantastic place!!! In the middle of ultra touristic city center a cosy place with great bistro food, cold beer and really cool atmosphere! Kids loved their burgers (I hoped I will eat them….forget it) watching sport news :-) I loved mine:-)

My family and I (group of 5 adults and one kid) wanted to have lunch here. The place was totally empty. The waiter gave us an angry look from the moment we entered and sat down, even scolding us for grabbing a chair to fit on the table and for wanting to grab the baby chair we saw on the back. Completely rude. We immediately left. Clearly they are not interested in having any clients. Don’t waste your time going there.

A special place to visit; the owner is the chef as well. The place is small, but cozy with a character, and the service is fast. We enjoyed our time there. I think it is best to order burgers there… he makes them quite well.

A friend and I stumbled upon the Diversion Bistro on Google Maps while looking for a burger place to sit down at. Immediately upon entering, we were served and didn't have to wait long for our food (note it was not busy at this time). My friend and I were absolutely floored at how extraordinary the burgers were. I got the Royal Bacon Burger, and my friend got the Spicy Bastard. As Americans on the search for the best burger, the burgers here are THE BEST without a doubt. We were left speechless at how good they were and were lamenting that we would not have something like this back in the States.

I don't recommend. Older guy ( maybe owner maybe not ,,, I'm not sure ) but he behave like his work is really punish for him . I saw when clients come in and he made that face like " why they are still comming" ... After we left he closed the door , it wast at 19:30 when this place was open

Wide selection of good food on the menu and prepared with care. The service was great and the man, like many Czechs, had good humour.

Great burgers, selection of music and lovely chef/owner. Sometimes the meat is too well-done for my taste so maybe tell em you want it medium-rare and you might also get to know some folks from the local community of Mala Strana district! 5 stars!

Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic local beer. Right next to Old Prague, which is full of bad tourist restaurants with overpriced and poor food, is this place where you can soak up the real atmosphere of Prague, have a great meal and drink, and not worry about how much they'll charge you. True story :)
