A tad bit over rated but beautiful nonetheless. Beautiful grounds and trees surround the tower. After hiking up steep hills to see it, I was grateful for the “I Love You” cafe east of the tower. Homemade pies and cakes with a nice glass of lemonade to enjoy. The whole area is a great place to walk around exploring or just sitting under a tree resting, enjoying the view. Oh yes, there’s a Tram you can take up and down the mountain if you don’t want to hike all the way up.

Amazing views from the Tower. The price is a fair price, I didn't have to queue long - around 3 minutes. I paid to go up on the lift, which was well worth it, and then walked back down and then walked down the hill to Charles Bridge (which my legs regretted the next day) I definitely recommend visiting especially on a clear day. You can see the whole of Prague

It's definitely a must. Spectacular views 360 degrees. Take the stairs, it's up there but you'll feel good about it. The way down is way easier than the way up. On a clear day, you can see everything for miles.. Great for photography. May not be okay if you have a fear of heights or being high up in a structure.

Prague from this view is more beautiful that I could imagine. The views are amazing, worth to go up. The elevator is out of service, so you have to go on your own, by stairs. I tried twice to go there and in the weekend it was full of people, so I came back on working day and enjoyed everything. Recommended!

Great views all around from the top of the tower and a great walk getting there. The tower is the hill overlooking Prague and you climb up through apple orchards and woods. Entrance to the tower is 150Kr (they didn't take credit cards, but there is an ATM machine right by the ticket counter). You can take the stairs or an elevator to the top of the tower. Take the stairs !

This place is a must for newcomers to Prague. Here you can get an amazing view of the city at any time of the day. You can get to the tower by foot (which is a somewhat challenging but enjoyable walk), by car or by the lift (or whatever it is called) that takes you all the way up. I recommend the walk if you are a fit person and if the temperature is not too high. Otherwise go for any of the other options. To get to the top of the tower you must pay a ticket, which is not expensive. Then you have to climb up using the stairs. This is also somewhat challenging but on your way up you get a great view.

A beautiful walk up the hill (or you can take the historic lift, also a super experience). Go up the observatory (it's easy, there are lifts), the views on the old city centre of Prague are definitely worth it. From there it's a short (15 min), easy walk to Strahov Monastery. The library is, not yo be missed. The walk back to town is scenic, down hill and ever so beautiful, esp. just before sunset. You'll need at least half a day. A five star experience!

Definitely the high point of Prague (literally). There's two options to go up in the lift or the stairs. The stairs has various seats to rest on in case you need a breath or to take in the breathtaking views. Via the stairs you get two areas. A middle platform and the top. It can become quite crowded at the main area to look out across the city but worth waiting and just seeing the views. Really worth it and a bit of exercise too! Thou from middle platform to top there are barely any seats on that way up or down. So be prepared.

Best 360° view over Prague, separate staircases for people coming down from the ones coming up, it is a bit of a climb but there are benches for resting at each level and there is an elevator as well. Probably not the best thing for the ones afraid of heights but if you will find the courage to climb you'll not regret it.

(Translated by Google) Very nice and not only the beautiful view to beautiful Prague from the tower above but also in the vicinity of the tower itself you have a very nice park with beautiful nature and beautiful garden and of course also nice restaurants and a shop with souvenirs and toilets. if you are hungry or thirsty then it is not a problem at all plus you also have a beautiful view outside of Prague and beautiful nature but of course you can also eat and drink something inside if it would be a little cold weather or a little rain and me I personally like the best with the cable car from the bottom to the top, but you can also walk up through beautiful nature in the park surroundings of the lookout tower of Petrin (Original) Heel erg leuk en niet alleen de prachtige uitzicht naar de mooie Praag vanaf de toren boven maar ook in de omgeving van de toren zelf heeft u hele mooie park met mooie natuur en prachtige tuin en ook natuurlijk leuke restaurantjes en winkeltje met souvenirs en toiletten ook dus als u trek heeft of dorst dan is het helemaal geen probleem plus heeft u daar buiten ook natuurlijk mooie uitzicht naar de omgeving van Praag en prachtige natuur maar natuurlijk kunt u ook wat binnen eten en drinken als zou beetje koude weer zijn of beetje regen en ik vind persoonlijk het leukste met de kabelbaan van beneden naar boven maar u kunt ook zelf naar boven lopen door prachtige natuur in de park omgeving van de uitkijk toren van Petrin

I recommend to buy a ticket online. It's fast and uncomplicated and also you have the opportunity to add a visit in the house of mirrors for more favorable. You can choose between an elevator and maybe about 300 steps, but I recommend to walk because of the sight. There are two reversed stairs, so you don't have problems with people walking downstairs. In April the elevator was broken, but if you want to use it you will have to pay little more. The view is stunning.

One of the most beautiful scenic points! It definitely worth climbing. During my visit, the elevator was not functional. Attention, there is an extra fee for it, apart from the ticket price. There are 299 steps to climb 😁 The area has several places where you can get refreshments from. I recommend visiting.

I would recommend you to go to this tower by walking. I have climbed for 35 min from down to the top. I have enjoyed the city view by stopping when ever I get tired. Meanwhile you will walk across some old buildings or it might be a fort wall from the past. As you reach the tower you can buy a lift or stair walking ticket to reach to the top. I took stair ticket and climber to the top. You get a breathtaking view from the top. It was an amazing experience. Please don't miss this place if you visit Prague.

Observation tower in Prague, replica of the Paris Eiffel tower. 63,5 metres high, Stunning views of the city at the top of the platform and from the tower’s middle half balcony as well. You can get to the top through a small elevator with an additional charge, or just go upstairs through the staircase.

A very beautiful hike to the top. There is a museum also on the top of the hill. A ticket is to climb the tower. There is a gift shop at the ticket counter. There are two platforms, one in the middle and other glass covered at the top. Some cafe also available near the tower

The railroad is interesting and if you be lucky you will have a good city view. The area around tower is covered by tall trees which block your view for landscape photo shooting. To have a good view you should take a ticket and go up, but then you need a full-frame camera for high-quality photos.

The whole area provides great views of Prague from different angles. I don't think it's worth going up to top of the tower as you can get similar views from the observatory areas of the park. You can use the tram to climb up to the hill as walking up might be exhausting but I definitely suggest to walk down to enjoy the beauty of the park.

The tower is in a good condition, there is no problem with buying tickets, as the stuff is very kind and speak english very well. In my opinion it it not so hard to climb the stairs to the tower top, so you can save money on additional elevator ticket. The view is really nice - but it is a must see? Hard to say - for me it’s not a „mandatory” checkpoint during your stay in Prague, but if you have some time, it might be worth to go there.

It is a great view from the top of the tower, but there is always a line so morning time is the best. You can either go by elevator all the way or by stairs. Stairs have shorter line.

You can take stairs easily so don’t waste money in buying elevator option. Views are good but don’t keep very high expectations. Tower is shaking slightly and you can feel this. Good experience to see the city view from the top

Inspired by the Eiffel Tower, this steel construction gives great views of Prague The tower is available to enter for a fee. There is a lift to the top that can be accessed for an additional fee. The tower stays open until 2100 at night and gives great views of the city in night and day. For anyone who enjoys heights, or views, or 19th century engineering, this is a great place to visit.

It looks like Prague's little Eiffel Tower. If you have a head for heights, be sure to make your way to the top. The combo ticket for the Mirror Maze and the tower is 260 CZK. If you want to take the lift, it's an additional 150 CZK. I would recommend taking the stairs, as you can capture some fantastic photos on the way up. It can get quite crowded on the highest platform, as some people seem to need to take about a thousand photos before moving on. Once you're at the very top, you'll feel the tower sway a bit, which is a pretty cool sensation.

We did not go to the top as there is no elevator. Had the best mulled wine at I Love You. The churches are nice and the walk was welcomed. We rode the funnicular which was fun and interesting. Recommend the Lookouts as well. Would visit again.

Fantastic views of Prague offering a different perspective from the Prague Castle. I would highly recommend the extra 150CZK cost to get the elevator to the top, but you can also just take the 100+ stairs if you are feeling athletic.

Great views of the city of Prague. It’s a good walk up the hill but you can also take the funicular which doesn’t cost much. The staff are also friendly and there is an elevator for an extra price for those who find the stairs difficult.

Amazing views of Prague City. Good place to take pictures and videos of surrounding areas. A little windy and chilly, I suggest bringing a hat and gloves. Cost extra to take elevator to the top. If not, it's a lot of walking and a lot of steps. Nice little cosy cafe at the bottom. Wonderful pastries and cakes. Plus amazing hot chocolate.

(Translated by Google) Ok, the lookout tower is nice, the exit is very well solved and the descent from the lookout tower is by two independent stairs, which wind around the tower. And the view from the lookout tower on Prague is really beautiful. I walked from old town to this place. It was a good hike for me but looks like there is a funicular to this place called Petrin funicular. I paid 150 CZK for tower entrance. Unfortunately elevator was not working and I had to climb the stairs. View is beatiful but on top of the tower, view is only from glass and it prevents the view.

Great place to visit, the views are stunning. When we visited the lift was out of order so had to climb up and down. Nearby is a restaurant by the monestry that serves local beer that revives you instantly. The best way to get to the tower is via the funicular train.

Nice view above prague. Very cheap entry (~4,50€), you can pay with card. No long waiting line. Toilets have fees. One stairs are going up and one stairs down, so no crossing between up and down.

Nice view of the city. Usually no significant queues on weekdays. You need to climb the stairs to get to the top. Seems there is/was an elevator, but it is not operational at the moment. In terms of height it was not bad at all. I have fear of hights and I was still able to enjoy the experience.

The view from tower for the city is good. You can also climb halfway to the garden and see city view. To enter the tower 150ck is entry fees and another 150 is you want to use lift. The gardens around are nice to relax but nothing exceptional. If you take day pass, funicular is added in price not thing if there is one on this route though.

Must visit in Prague to have a beautiful panaromic view of the city and its surroundings Will suggest to take the Funicular car up to the observatory. Although, you need to climb quite a bit of stairs to get to the top, the views are worth it. You can also pay and take the lift.

While I visited the funicular was closed but this tower can be also reached by bus (keep in mind you will have to walk some 15 minutes before reaching the tower). The prices are reasonable. If you want to use the elevator you will have to pay an extra fee. It might get quite crowded at times. The view is amazing though. One of my trip's highlights!

Fantastic views of the city. This 19th century tower is charming and doesn’t take too long to climb. Don’t expect to take the elevator as it was out of order on our visit. Plenty of rest stops on your way up.

Can visit once. Not great but have good views of prague city from the top. Costs 220 Kc per person to go to climb the top on stairs and 360 Kc to use the lift to go to the top. More than the tower, the funicular trip was fun.

Recommended to get a nice sight of Prague. I would suggest going via the stairs as it has a second sight spot in the middle of the tower. The top view is pretty nice, but it can get a hit crowded sometimes as it is a bit small. Still would recommend it.

Must visit place, get public train from uzjed and come to petrin, its cool. You can use your same city transport ticket for this train also. The train from Uzjed is a rop-pull train that goes up the hill where petrin tower is there. This route is super.

A little bit expensive (around $10 per person) but has incredible views. Definitely worth the price on a sunny day! And if you're visiting Prague Castle, you've already walked halfway up the hill so might as well continue a bit further up! We were there at the middle of the day on a Wednesday in October and it wasn't too crowded. But I imagine it can get quite busy in the summer! Also worth noting that at the very top there are windows, not all of which can be opened, so some photos will have glare. BUT, there are good windowless opportunities while on the stairs and first viewing platform.

The view is really great. There is always a line but it moves fast. You can get food right at the tower and have lunch in a great park. If you walk to the tower be prepared for about 15min of uphill climb. Get the combo ticket with the mirror maze which is near the tower, we had some laughs in it

It was a hell of a hike to the top of the hill but we'll worth it, there is a small rail to the summit but the wait was too long for it. There is a small charge to climb the tower but by god the view was incredible, there is a lift inside fir the frail or infirm but once again there is quite a wait for that I would 110% recommend this as a bucket list while in Prague.

If you like views of Prague on the way from the Strahov Monastery to Petřín, then you will definitely like the view from the lookout tower! There is definitely no place in Prague with a better view of Prague Castle. The lookout tower has a separate staircase for ascent and descent, which unfortunately a few tourists during our visit did not understand, and avoiding them on the narrow staircase was quite unpleasant.

A beautiful place, after an exciting climb you have a wonderful overview of the city. There is a lot of crowding at the top, which could be improved, perhaps with a traffic light system so that people can only get on again when something has become free at the top.

  • 5/5 Andrei M. 3 years ago on Google
You can take the furnicular railway marked green on the map and you can use the 30 min ticket that you can buy at any yellow ticket dispenser in all the station. It's really easy. On top there are nice views and it's a great walk down lasting like 20 to 30 min. The entrance to the tower is 50 czk, when we arrived was 21:00 And the tower was closed, but on the Prague.net was mentioned that is open till 2200. I believe that there are great views from the top.

Best view over the city an the Karlsbridge. The entrance does not cost very much. Walking up takes maybe 5-10 minutes, since it is only 60 meters. Due to the double helix stairs, it is one way traffic the whole tower, which is also kind of corona safe.

  • 5/5 Denisa U. 3 years ago on Google
Yaaaas views!!! I loved it :). The stairs weren’t too bad, you can always stop and catch your breath if needed. I was a bit intimidated by having to go up so many steps since I am really unfit but it was pretty easy and the view was fantastic.

You can reach top of Petřín Hill either by foot, which I would assume is bit of a track, or by funicular which I think was about 24 crowns. There you will find Petřín Tower from which you will be treated to a lovely view of Prague which is well worth seeing. I visited this place twice and loved it each time.

The walk up here from the castle is very nice and relaxing going through the park. Up there you can find the mirror maze that we didn’t enter because of bad reviews on google maps. Also you have the tower itself we went up with the elevator that is a special experience on its self. The view is absolutely gorgeous and worth the time and money . We went down walking. Down at the tower there is a small cafeteria with beer soft and hot drinks, some snacks like pizza and toast.

We went up by foot because we thought it isn't too far and looks easy, well we recommend paying the small price for the cable tram to get up, it's a fun ride as well! You can go up by foot if you really want a challenge, at the top there are free water dispensers, which kinda saved our day. The view from the tower is incredible, you can look over the entire city of prague and you can stay at the top as long as they are open. You don't have to buy a ticket for it, the ticket is just for the elevator to the top. If you take the stairs it's free.

This tower is an excellent place to see the entire city from above. It can be challenging to get to the top of the tower if you decide to take the stairs. It was a little scary for me because I am afraid of heights. But once we were at the top, the view is unbelievable! When we were there some windows were opened and we were able to take pictures. The park around the tower is beautiful!

Worth a trip to see the beautiful city of Prague. The views are amazing. Unfortunately the elevator is out of service so the only way up is the stairs. It was a cold climb in November but worth it. Recommended!

  • 4/5 5kdesertfox 2 years ago on Google
Trip to tower is through a park up a hill or you can take funicular, which is I would advise, since they are not that common. Once you are up it is just a 5 min walk to the tower. The tower itself is pretty high, with 2 viewing platforms. There are 2 stairs, one for each direction so you will not encounter people going oposite way, which is nice. Top viewing platform might be a bit of a challenge for older people so be aware, however there are benches on the staircase going up in case you need a rest, so it should be fine. Top offers nice views of Prague old city and Castle, with Strahov stadium. Tower does move with a wind, not much but you can feel it so be prepared in case you are afraid of such things. At the bottom there is a place to buy a tickets, gift shop, toilets and small place to get drinks/coffee. During warmer days there are also some market stalls in the park nearby.

A nice location looking over the entire city from the tower. The lift was out of order but climbing up was not hard. Worth the visit if you have time and saw already most of the city. Reaching up can be done from the neighborhood below through the park or using the fenicular.

  • 5/5 Dean Ben I. 2 years ago on Google
I was in the tower after travelling in the gardens, from there you can see the whole city. Unfortunately, the elevator does not work, but there are not a lot of stairs. Worth the climb to the top.

  • 5/5 Brandon P. 1 year ago on Google
Pro tip… go in the evening or early morning hours to avoid the crowd. Amazing views! To capture the whole tower put your phone on pano and turn it sideways.

  • 5/5 Saed S. 1 year ago on Google

  • 4/5 Kazem G. 1 year ago on Google
This is a small replica of the Eiffel Tower looking over Prague. The path to the tower includes a short climb. The path itself is beautiful. Climbing the tower needs tickets. You can pay extra to use the lift. From the top of the tower, you will see a nice view of Prague. I think the ticket price is a bit expensive for what you get though. One good point is that they will show a not at ticket office if the visibility is low on the day which helps you decide if you want to spend the time, energy, and money to climb the tower or not.

Historical landmark, with 360 view of Prague. Not crowded, even though it was a weekend. It was the long queue for the cable car, so we took a walk instead - it’s approximately 10-15 mins walk, up the hill, which can be challenging for someone. Other option is to walk to the middle station of the cable car (6-7 mins uphill) and from there to take cable car.

  • 4/5 Z C. 8 months ago on Google
there are a lot of people on the tower but the view is very good. there are 299 stairs so I wouldn't walk up there because there is an elevator. also if your scared of hights, you should take the elevator because when your almost at the top, the walls of the stairs disappear.

  • 5/5 Mark N. 9 months ago on Google
Interesting tower, built for a world's fair. A nice place to walk through, sides a large stone city wall. Very pleasant area. This leads to a large park which meanders down the hillside towards the river.

  • 4/5 G G. 7 months ago on Google
Petrin tower: you will be able to get amazing view of the city. It is 58.70 metres high, and 299 steps lead to its peak, which is at the same altitude as the real Eiffel Tower. Be prepared to walk up - and there are two viewing areas. Amazing views and kids love it. It gets crowded in the afternoon so work around.

  • 4/5 Ralf W. 7 months ago on Google
The view from Petrin Tower is phenomenal. You can see all of Prague and from the observation deck. You can reach it by stairs or elevator, which costs 150 czk extra. This also enables handicapped persons to enjoy the view. You can reach the tower by car and park in the close by residence area or with a cable car from the town area. Close by is also a observatory with an exhibition and telescope to watch the stars at night. Also worth a visit.

  • 5/5 Lorna M. 7 months ago on Google
An honestly amazing view of Prague! We climbed the stairs, which was a fun way to ascend. The views were spectacular, and if you buy the combination Petrin Hill ticket (that also gets you into the mirror maze and the observatory), it is a great price

  • 5/5 dan electricity b. 6 months ago on Google
Must visit when in Prague, the views are simply incredible. Definitely worth the queues, I recommend getting the elevator up and then walking down to see things from a different perspective. You do have to pay more for taking elevator unless you have a Prague visitor pass or something similar. Mirror maze nearby and carousel, refreshments and food are available too.

  • 5/5 Deniss I. 6 months ago on Google
Amazing view, it is not an easy task to climb up, but the view of Prague is worth it! Costs 270 CZK + 150 CZK if you want to use an elevator. In case you suffer from fear of heights or claustrophobia - I do not recommend going up as you may end up having a panic attack, especially as the tower moves on the wind. The stairs are open, so if you suffer from fear of height - better take the elevator.

  • 5/5 Abhijeet V. 6 months ago on Google
Reasonable prices for an unmatched 360 degree view of Prague. Elevator available for an extra charge. Just 2 people at a time and longer waiting for elevator

  • 5/5 Mira D. 6 months ago on Google
Petrin is definitely worth visiting, amazing view. There’s a wait, a queue to get in. Buy tickets at the end of the queue. Price is ok, plus you can include the glass mirror in the ticket, which is 100 metres away. You can go up by stairs, or pay extra for a lift. I say, if your legs work, walk up, it’s an experience & you can see Prague view slowly open up in front of you! There’s toilets on site. And they sell ice cream in summer. Nowhere to sit really, so kids might be a tiny bit bored, but definitely worth the wait ;)

  • 5/5 Usman K. 5 months ago on Google
The view of Prague from Petrin Tower was simply amazing and it really resembles like Eiffel Tower from outside. I used the stairs to reach to the top although there is an option of elevator too which can be used with an additional fees. We can see all the main landmarks of Prague from the Petrin Tower. There is a restaurant and food place to sit and relax at the ground floor. There is a sitting area outside for people as well as swings for children to play and enjoy.

  • 4/5 The U. 3 weeks ago on Google • 21 reviews New
Offers a great view even in relatively bad weather. But the surcharge for using the elevator is absolutely not worth it. Then I'd rather use the 150 CZK to go to the café next door for a coffee
