I would not recommend staying at this hotel. The owner, a Buryat, openly supports the war and discriminates against people based on their race. It is not a welcoming or safe environment for guests. Please consider other options for your stay.

We paid for superior rooms extra charges to my travel agent. Room no.112 which does not look like star category compared to prices paid.. It's on road side with big tree on windows, can't see anything. Bathroom was too small & slippery. Room walls are thin and you can hear lots of noise from next Room. Hotel is 15 minutes walk from IP Pavlova metro Station and hop on hop off stop. No.3 CNN English Channel doesn't work for my 3 night stay for which I requested many times. No facility to warm up food. My room has do not disturb sign & still house keeping opened our room for cleaning. Which I don't like & complaint to reception. Breakfast was good, but limited options for vegetarian. Elevator was not working/out of order. No swimming pool in hotel & steam/sauna is not free. Overall not satisfied.

A good hotel in Prague. Not in the core old city center but well located, nice neighborhood, safe and plenty of small restaurants and bars. It's not a luxurious hotel but, clean, enough amenities, with very friendly staff. We'll stay again.

My fiancé and I stayed here for four nights in March 2019 and had a very pleasant experience. It is a walk to the nearest metro station but the area is beautiful and quiet. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the food was very good at breakfast. We want to come back to Prague as soon as possible.

I had an dreadful experience at this hotel in Prague. The air conditioning was broken during our stay, and when we brought it to the management's attention, they flat out refused to do anything about it. Instead, they suggested we leave the window open. Well, let me tell you, that was a terrible idea. Our room on the first floor became a magnet for noise pollution. I recorded the cacophony to have proof to dispute this later. The window being open meant we were subjected to endless arguments, the incessant clatter of garbage trucks, and the obnoxious sounds of cars driving on cobblestones. To top it all off, bugs came flying in through the window, making our stay even more unbearable. And let's not forget the weather. We were there during 80-85 degree weather, and without a working AC, it felt like we were baking in an oven. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone, so I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. It's a recipe for sleepless nights and endless frustration. Keep in mind, i am writing this review while I am still staying here, also keep in mind this trip was for my anniversary!

Nice, very clean room. Staff is very kind and helpful. Good location. 5min to trams and subway. It's 4/5 due to lack of parking directly next to hotel. It's possible to leave a car at another hotel's parking. Unfortunately it is attributed to additional cost of 500 KČ per day. Pretty much (50% of daily price of the room). But it can be comprehensible, because parking is overwhelmingly pricy in entire Prague.

Very lovely staff, amazing breakfast, good location, it is unfortunate that our room wasn’t up to standard, lots of insects both dead and alive! We found one in our bed!!

Friendly staff. Nothing was too much to ask. Very clean. Good location in a nice area. A few faults though. Room was outdated. Tv had little to no English channels apart from the news. Railing was coming off the wall in the bathroom which made getting in and out of the bath/shower very dangerous. Walls are paper thin. Actually thought at times other people were in our bathroom. Could hear everything making it very hard to sleep. Bed was not the comfiest and better curtains needed for windows. As soon as the sun rose in the mornings, our room lit up.

15 to 20 mins walk to Subway station. The hotel room was little bit old but the washroom was clean. They also provided weak air conditioner in the room. I highly recommend their breakfast. They offer many choices in terms of food. The staff was nice, casual and friendly. They helped me to order taxi very quick. But there are additional fees for parking if you travel with car.

Friendly and helpful staff. Good location close to lots of bars and restaurants. But not at all noisy. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast, with a selection of options to suit most tastes. I'd certainly stay here again.

Air condition only for cooling ! After the checkout we left our bags they barely talk to us. Breakfast very bad - only the nessecary to say they have food Every day we ate outside. No one in the reception

When we were checking in, a bald guy at the reception was instructing the receptionist to keep an eye on our two year old girl! My bad that I didn't question him. Other than that, the room was just okay, breakfast was good. It is okay for one night stay.

4 Sterne?

This was our third time staying at the Hotel Amethyst and we plan on returning again in 2 years. We like that the hotel is in a quiet residential area and although it is a bit of a walk to the Wenceslas Square, there are 3 trams into the centre within a few mins walk. We enjoyed the breakfast selection, although it is different to what you would get in a British hotel. Ivona and her team were lovely as where many of the rest of the staff. The only thing with the room was although there was a duo, one of the shower heads was scaled over and did not work and the bath did not have a plug! The bed was so comfortable though and the pillows just right.

Loved the experience. Recommended for tourists and new travellers. Breakfast served was also really good.

I would set five stars but issues in the room are destroying the good experience of the hotel in a quiet place in Prague.

Great basic hotel. AC just blew room temperature air but the weather cooled off so not an issue. Friendly accommodating staff

I'd recommend doing the cleaning more often and deeply. There was dust and some leftovers when we entered the room and the days after didn't go better. We found three bottles of water the first day but nothing on the days after. The fridge was empty and the cover doesn't allow the heating going out properly. Service at reception was good. Breakfast nothing special but average.

Lifts were slow. TV wasnt great. No channels in English. Comedy Central Austria was a lottery what language it was going to be.

The service included that are expected for a 4* hotel are either not available, such as a pool, or need to be paid. The majority staff isn't friendly and speak poor English, we were made to wait and look down upon as soon as we spoke English. The toilet were divided between shower and WC which seems trivial but it's not suitable for the price and prestige an hotel of this caliber should provide. The breakfast seemed cheap, bland but plenty of choice was offered.

Lengthy walk back to town center, but cheap taxi ride solved that. Ridiculously small single, but extra clean and pleasant. Well-kept hotel in extremely quiet neighborhood. Would definitely consider again.

Not great, not terrible. It's definetly starting to show it's age. Desperately in a need of a renovation.

Its not the best hotel Ive been so far, but definitely it isnt the worst. I gave 4 points of 5, just because there is a space for improvement. For example the breakfast should be better, especially wider offer of food. What should be better or homemade? Juice, vegetable and fruit, pastry, cheese, cereals. I miss bacon with scrumbled eggs. These are details and I mentioned them only because every other thing was good.

The hotel is modern and chic. The staff is friendly and competent. A downside is the parking situation. There is not enough parking space for all rooms. You will be distributed to other hotels and have to pay between 10€ and 40€ there. The internet also states that the hotel bar is open until midnight - unfortunately it wasn't on any of our evenings.

Excellent rooms. Excellent bar staff who made great cocktails. Amazing location, within 5 mins walk of a wide variety of bars and restaurants. Close to a tram stop which links you to the whole city. Well priced and well managed. The reception staff are happy to help you with everything you may need and are very friendly.
