Great location and the rooms are spacious, quiet, clean and comfortable. Staff are all lovely. The complementary mini bar was a nice touch. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and I’d come back just for this. Highly recommended.

Excellent boutique hotel in the centre of Prague. Comfortable rooms and very good breakfast. However, the hallways should be more ventilated. Lobby bar with good selection of drinks, bug rather on the pricey side.

I stayed at Hotel Josef for 5 nights in Mid September. Location is great! Amenities are pretty good. Standard hotel gym (small, limited equipment and on the top floor with lots of windows so HOT in the afternoon). Breakfast is GREAT! Coffee maker in the room. There was a sofa and two chairs in the room and sufficient storage for clothing. A mini bar that is stocked with sparking water and juices was included. I reserved a balcony room and on check in was told I was upgraded (maybe to the top floor instead of the 7th, or a better view?). The room was spacious and the balcony was wonderful with a great view. The entire hotel was clean and true to the galleries on their website. Overall I was very happy but two things drove me to a 4 star instead of a 5 star. I thought the bathroom was dangerous. There is a step up from the main floor and there is a very clean glass wall that you cannot see in the dark. I moved furniture on both sides of the glass so I would not walk into it (which I did my first night). Because the entire bathroom is glass you can't really leave a night light on. Second while the staff were very friendly and professional, there were little frustrations and requests were not always handled quickly. For example, my first cleaning I did not get any hand towels and it took several trips to the front desk before they arrived hours later. I got two room keys and left one in the pad that is necessary to turn on the lights and every time my room was cleaned housekeeping removed the card and took it with them. Small things really in service that kept it from being a top notch experience. At a rate of $229 US a night I thought it was a decent value and overall a good experience. I would recommend checking it out.

I highly recommend when traveling with Dogs.. Great location. Friendly staff at lobby bar. Parking garage has limited space for the amount and size of the car. Free Minibar in room.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. First of the positive points that I have for the hotel.... - everybody was very friendly and always had a smile on their faces. - if we needed help, the next second we got it - the minibar (two cokes, two juices and two waters) were included and get refilled each day - the rooms are spacious - enough soaps and towels for the stay - delicious breakfast with an in-house bakery....top notch! - the equipment of the gym was top! Again a complaint on a high level - I'm a gym buff and I would love to decide myself when I want to do sports and when not. So to have opening hours for the gym is ...mehhhh for me. And the opening hours were from 6.30am till 10 pm. I'm a morning person and would have loved to do a lot more in the morning. Sadly I couldn't. They have a timelock why not make use of it. - while the taste and food of the breakfast was amazing I was missing storage space for the plate to fill it up. And if there are a lot of people there...the space to get the food is to small and the access to it is only from one side. The bakery is making amazing bread! The space for it, in my opinion is too small and without an electrical machine or already in slices. Everybody needs to use a knife and some are using a towel so they don't touch the bread. Some are doing that some are not. That could handled differently. All in all. It was a good short stay over the weekend.

This was a small boutique which we love the atmosphere of the smaller hotels. This hotel however had a strange layout and felt maybe a little too modern. It felt more like walking into a car dealership than a hotel lobby. The people were very nice, the rooms (we paid extra for the rooftop room) were a disappointment. The bed was too hard and we expected what was advertised on the website. It was supposed to be a room with glass walls, beautiful rain shower head and view of the city. We had a view of the courtyard and a normal tub/shower. The balcony was nice but looking into the gym (and them looking back) was not. Zero privacy. The breakfast was good but we learned the first day there was a menu of hot items that could be preferred as well as coffee. When you come into the breakfast room this is not offered so you don’t know it’s an option until you see other people ordering food/coffee. There is a normal buffet breakfast also which it what we assumed was the breakfast. All of it is free so maybe that’s why it’s not offered. Definitely order from the menu because the chef is on point! I let them know it was our anniversary and the amazing chef made a to-die-for cake and had it sent to our room. The only other warning is the parking situation. We own a VW golf and it was TIGHT! There is a parking garage which you are charged for and it’s a nightmare to park in.

Good Breakfast it is outstanding what a creative and talented chef. Fitness and Sauna neat, with roof top area, staff is friendly, rooms are clean but not overly big, matrass new, a little on the hard side, big bed. Cloth hangers spoil the perfect impression, sticky and jucky, bring your own.

We stayed a weekend with our one year old son to celebrate our anniversary, everything was great. Nice and very helpful staff with a great welcome in a raining day, the hotel also gave a surprise dessert for our celebration and a nice handwritten card. I advise the hotel to family with young children, they have baby cot and also high chair in the breakfast room, they even provide us the bathing products for babies. The location is very central and close to many nice restaurants. Let them advise you for where to go, we were very pleased.

Stayed here with work and had a great experience. Really friendly staff at the reception. Breakfast was also very good with made-to-order hot food as well as standard buffet style. Rooms were modern and clean. Housekeeping was also good. Great location. Gym on the top floor is also very well equipped but could feel small if more than a few people were there. Would certainly stay again if I am back for work or leisure.

Great hotel with a vast buffet selection and well thought design details - no wonder it is member of design hotels association. Super friendly and helpful staff. Will stay again.

I have been here for business reasons 4 times and will be back in two weeks. For me the best hotel in Prague! Everything is just right here. The rooms, the food, the staff and especially the location!

The staff boosted this rating to 5 stars. When we arrived, the lobby was closed due to remodeling, of which we were very surprised and disappointed. Our check-in associate upgraded us to a larger, more comfortable room for the inconvenience. Amenities were minimalistic, but the room was clean and tidy. The complimentary breakfast was phenomenal, and would be a reason to return. All fresh and local ingredients, freshly baked pastries and breads, and delicious fruit and coffees. The service was impeccable. Thank you!

I had a wonderful 5 nights stay at Hotel Josef. I LOVED their breakfast buffet - such a great selection, and it set me up for the day to come! The staff were wonderful. I was working in my room until the early evening one day and asked if it was too late for housekeeping to visit, and unlike the U.K., the team sent someone up straight away and tidied my room whilst I stepped out. There was one down side to the room - the glass/see-through/semi-transparent bathroom right next to the bed. I was glad I was travelling alone because I definitely would not want to share a room with see through bathroom with my partner. A little mystery keeps things spicy! 😂😂

Good hotel and location, but beware: you may not get the room you booked. I paid significantly more to book their Signature room (the one with glass walls inside) just because it has the proper rain shower, but got a different room with the most inconvenient bath ever to shower in.

Couldn't fault this place. Staff were so unbelievably friendly, rooms were clean and cool due to very good air conditioning. Will definitely be returning!

By far one of my favorite hotels I've ever stayed at around the world. It has an incredible breakfast with made-to-order food and coffee options. The croissants are top notch as well! There was a complimentary mini bar in the room that was refreshed daily. Those working at the hotel were incredibly helpful and friendly, and the location was perfect for site seeing. We can't wait to be back, and we'll definitely stay here again!

By far one of the best hotels Ive stayed in. First of all everyone is so nice and helpful, at our first day we had someone who helped us in planning our trip, and everything he recommended were 10/10 places. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, bed is comfortable! We slept very well. Words cannot describe how good the breakfast is! They make their own bread and pastries in-house so everything is so fresh and delicious! And the breakfast has everything you want including menu options, and fresh squeezed juices!!

Located between old town square and Powder Tower, thus walking through “newer town” to Wenceslaus square or to Charles Bridge is not a long distance. Quiet neighborhood with convenience/ grocery store and a small cafe at the corner. Staff was very friendly and service oriented. We extended our stay an extra night. I was really impressed with how the man who processed the booking, made a point to check if we had any issues accessing our room. Staff greeted us warmly every time we walked through the lobby. Every staff person was as service oriented as you would expect an owner to be. The small bar has a great selection and has been updated and tastefully decorated from the pics seen on a booking site. We stopped for a night cap and were super impressed. Phillip the friendly knowledgeable bartender made well prepared cocktails. His service and expertise was a highlight of our stay. Robes, complimentary slippers, adequate lighting, electrical outlets on each bedside , and refrigerator. The electric kettle and coffee press ( instead of instant coffee) made it a bit nicer. The air conditioning was great and kept us cool and dry. There were some hot and humid days this July. We would love to return to Prague and will definitely stay at Hotel Josef again.
