Food was good but the waitress treated us all the time as if she was totally annoyed. At the end she was annoyed as we asked to pay separately. She told me THEY ONLY TAKE CASH so I went to the closest ATM that wasn't working. I asked if it was possible to pay in euros (with a good compensation for the favour, I offered 5 euros more than the 10€ bill) since we were living Prague one hour later. At that point she told me very angrily that they are not a bank pointing at the sign (inside the restaurant when we were sitting outside). Totally unrecommended as the service is totally rude and not foreigner-friendly.

It really is a simple Czech pub, so don't expect any modern environment, but the main thing going for the place is the amazing selection of beers - they have all kinds and you're sure to find one you'll love. Soup was also good. Service was okay.

Classical old-school pub on the edge of infamous Žižkov district. Very good and uncommon selection of few interesting draft beers, traditional Czech beer sides/snacks and classic meals done well and rougher but professional attentive service makes this place a great go-to if you're in the area and look for a couple of beers and something good to eat. Or if you wish to get the glimpse of how it looked in traditional Czech pubs of the past. Despite pub's central location, it's not as busy in the afternoon and they kept the prices at reasonable levels. Unfortunately, the trade off is that you can only pay with cash (the ATM is few minutes up the road).

You cannot pay by card and the Czech koruna parity does it as it pleases. Disappointing. An employee (very tall) said, forcefully, that they are not a bank but only a restaurant. Don't go if you don't have Czech crowns!

Very nice place for beer and for food. Selection of beers is outstanding 9 drafts and All of them fantastic - prize-wise aswell. Food served very quickly, even with couple tables taken, Large portions, reasonable prices, lower than in pubs near centre. Very recommended.

Typical Czech pub with a selection of draft beers from small Czech Breweries. The food is tasty, but portions are quite big. Love their "česnečka" and weekend menus. The pub only accepts cash, but there is an ATM over the street, which makes it ok, if you are used to card payments...

Started a little shakily being we were English speakers but the staff relaxed and a good time was had. The food options included local specialities, were well Cooke's, tasty and good value. Worth the visit. Beers on tap as well, good variety.

Food and beers were great, nothing to complain. But the waitress made me feel super unwelcome not being able to speak czech…. Such a pity

Avoid this place.. there are FAR better pubs/restaurants in the area you can spen your money in. Visited a couple times and always felt bitter after leaving so it's not a 1 time bad experience and finally decided to leave a review. The food quality is miserable to put it mildly (can't even boil potatoes so they're not half raw). Service horrendous, staff could be replaced with mcdonald's kiosks and you'd feel more welcome. How they have above 4* on google reviews is beyond my understanding. Never again.

Magnificent beers, amazing burgers, fast and friendly service, this place is PERFECT!

I had the small light beer and the beef in root vegetable puree. It was so good I almost cried. I hadn't eaten all day so that may have contributed but I'm pretty sure i would still have loved it even if I wasn't as hungry. The waiters were nice and service was blazingly fast. I dont think I waited even 5 minutes after I ordered before the dish came out. This was around 1330 or so. Wasnt crammed with tourists, nice old-ish ambience, and prices were very reasonable. Don't waffle with the decision. Just go eat here. I'm even thinking about going back for dinner...
