This place is in my TOP 5 for breakfast or brunch. Beautiful surroundings, attentive service and perfect food! I can recommend eggs benedict and strawberry waffles for myself. Yummy!❤️ It is better to make a reservation in advance, this place is always fully booked. In the summer, you can sit outside and have breakfast next to the river and the view of the Prague Castle.

Busy cafe with nice-looking and tasty breakfast. Staff were friendly and attentive. Good quality and price ratio. Would recommend to book a table though, I think we were lucky to be seated on site because of rainy weather. Cake display looks good too, saved dessert for the next visit. Definitely recommend.

Really lovely Brunch place! Enjoyed the food and environment very much! The price are very reasonable and you get good quality food. You can even order a breakfast deal with egg Benedict, avocado toast, waffle with fruits and coffee of your choice for 335ck! The only thing is that they don’t have many vegan option, there was only one vegan waffle, while no salty option! But still they put effort to make adjustments for me. Really appreciate it! Definitely check this place out, you have great views over the river:)

The place is full of light and super welcoming. As you step in you get fresh and light warm vibes. It looks clean, warm. Please mind that this place is pretty full so you might want to consider reserve a place before visiting. Though the place offer outside seats which mostly available, the inside of the place is the welcoming and preferable for most people. We got coffee which was decent and pancakes which was good. The lancake itself made well buf if youre more of a chocolate style lovers this might not be the right choice for you as its more fruity and less chocolate vibes. Its a great place for morning coffee with a good bite when you feel for more vibes and not just a cup of coffee alone.

Great little cafe that is close to the water. We came in to try the honey cake, which had been recommended to us. Unfortunately, they did not have honey cake that day, but instead we got to try some of their other amazing desserts and coffee. The service was a little slow, but the beautiful ambience and decor made up for that.

Good speciality coffee, they seem to know what they are doing. One of the most expensive flat whites I’ve had (95kč, about 4€ for the house blend), but the location is excellent. Unfortunately some of the staff was stressed and unpleasant: the barista was very rude to her colleague, even disciplining her in front of me after I asked what coffee was available in the mill, snapping at her that she should know that.

Beautiful coffee to chill and eat very good food, specially sweets. It has an incredible view of the river and Prague’s castle. It also has a small terrace if you want to enjoy being outside, although the view is not good. Definitely recommended!

Thanks to Monika's kindness, we secured a table promptly and placed our orders at the best café in Prague. The service was quick and efficient. If you prefer avoiding long queues at other cafes, I highly recommend this place.

Favourite place for breakfast/brunch. “SmetanaQ” breakfast combo is a great deal offering one egg Benedict, avocado toast and a strawberry waffle, along with a cup of coffee of your selection! Friendly staff, unfortunately it is often packed and they do not take reservations during weekends, so I recommend to arrive at 9am sharp. PS great mimosas!

I had a great breakfast here! I got their SmetanaQ combo which included a small portion of avocado toast, eggs benedict, and strawberry mascarpone waffles plus my choice of coffee. It was very reasonably priced and I got to have a little bit of everything! The only downside was they don’t share their wifi password on weekends and my egg in my eggs benedict was over cooked. Overall I’d definitely come back!

A modern cafe/ gallery situated in the heart of Prague with a stunning view of Petrin Hill, Prague Castle and Vltava River. They serve lighter modern breakfast options with avocado and salad, very well balanced. Most breakfast options come with one egg, so ask for extra if you are hungry 🙂 Btw, the cafe is temporarily on the second floor due to kitchen renovation, reservations on weekends are not accepted. We will definitely come back. 👌🏼 👉🏼 Check other breakfast places in Prague on IG: breakfast.in.prague

My lively people! We ordered the famous smetanaQ breakfast, which they never explained what it is and based on the menu an avocado bread with bacon, waffle and a coffee. It would be really nice to mention how they serve it. The next table received their plate and we saw the portion wasnt enough so ordered another avocado with poached egg(but was a mistake). The waffle is a second dish!! Doesnt make sense to someone who though it will be a salty breakfast and not mix but to un english speaker is hard…. The food is tasteless, its nice and big and creative but tasteless. And more dressing so people can advertise it(just a tip) the service isnt that much since we got our water after 20mins of waiting and then asking for it again, plus not free since its tap water… famous place but lacking with foreigns and tourist, keep this place for locals guys and check better places

This place was a great find! Breakfast and vibes were fantastic! They have filter coffee too if that’s important to you. Mine was slightly underextracted but still good

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Prague for three days. While I found the service sector in general to be a bit slow and some of the waiters across the city were extremely rude and unfriendly. My experience at this café was a refreshing exception. We're warmly welcomed by Monica, a waiter at the café. In a city that can sometimes feel a bit cold in terms of service, Monica was a beacon of warmth and hospitality. She was extremely polite, friendly, and welcoming, making my visit to the café a memorable one.

I do not know where to start 👌 Without reservation in dinner rush they were able to find us a seat. We were welcomed with a smile and explained what is "todays favourite" from the menu. Wine was on special offer so we were recommended more wines than it was on the menu and it was excellent. Really wanna praise the waiter who was serving us (didn't ask for his name) but he was smiling all the time and was so nice and helpful. I would give more stars if I could 👍. Food was delicious and they have vegetarian options too. I had a quinoa bowl with vegetables and sauce included is must try. Atmosphere was great and it is a place you should visit if you crave good food and wine. Thank you for the nice evening 😁

We had a great breakfast with avocado toast, hollandaise sauce and strawberry mascarpone waffles. Amazing!

The food is great and the service is very polite and welcoming. The atmosphere is very modern and young. Please however note that they are usually quite busy (we were there on a Sunday morning) and it takes the food a long time to arrive. It is worth it though in my opinion.

I tried out this bistro for a brunch with a friend recently and it was absolutely amazing. I recommend it to everyone and especially vegans, people with lactose intolerance and health food junkies, but make a reservation beforehand since it might be packed - at least during prime brunch time. Vegan waffles - They were one of the best I ever had. Bigger portion then expected with a lot of fruits on top. Avocado toast - It was pretty good, too. It had very tasty pesto on top, there was just too much avocado for my liking. Hot beverages - Jasmine tea and cappuccino were ok. They have milk alternatives for cappuccino/latté. Cold beverages - selection of tasty homemade lemonades and fresh juice.

Great place for breakfast and lunch. Wonderful coffee and waffles. Has a nice view and stylish interior. Make a reservation in advance to secure a table as it is quite popular and in demand. Would definitely come back.

Good coffee and nice breakfast. It was missing some elements to be 5 starts, as the acovado toast was spicy and avodaco was not ripe, service was slow (it was Saturday brunch time). Worth mentioning that initially we were sitting outside and the waitress was kind enough to move us inside when the chance occured.

Great place to have cake or food, but mostly the cakes :) If you like carrot cake, you should try here. I love it and there I had the best ever ! Food is good as well, but cakes stand out of crowd. I made a mistake and didnt try chai latte, so next time I will try :)

Loved the breakfast. We were a big group and had no reservation. Tried: egg Benedict, avo & egg, omelette, cheese croissant, whole wheat waffle, waffle with mascarpone cheese and strawberries, apricot pancakes, smetanaQ egg, chai latte, americano and pumpkin spice latte. The staff were generous and offered us another waffle with strawberries. Definitely worth visiting 💯

I personally love the views of the river from this bistro. The employees were very nice and they advised us correctly when ordering. The dishes are modern and innovative but always keeping in mind the traditional savoir-faire of their cooks and the quality of the local products. Would also recommend the desserts, specially the homemade strawberry waffles. Would come again in my next visits to Prague.

You can find great desserts, coffee, tea, lemonade, cocktails, and some food. Service was slightly slow, but ok. Menu were in Czech and English. Unfortunately, the view was not so great, on the road near Cafe.

Lovely little cafe on the water that has outstanding breakfasts. It had a line out the door but we got in quickly and it was def worth the wait. We had the avocado toast and scrambled eggs with mushroom on brioche toast. I typically only order poached eggs but wow did this dish change my mind. The eggs were perfect, not dry, full of flavor and the mushrooms were so flavorful. This along with the perfectly toasted brioche, I wish I could eat this more often! The avocado toast was also very good and both were beautifully presented. Highly rec!

High quality ingredients, very fulfilling. Loved the waffle with strawberries and coffee. A bit pricey for Prague, 2 can eat well of one breakfast menu.

The morning terrace is spacious and quiet. The staff is friendly, but sometimes it takes a while to get served even when it's not busy. The food remains consistently delicious☕️🥑

I love SmetanaQ. It’s good, they accept reservations, great collection of cakes, friendly staff, and the view is amazing. Appreciate the ability to add toppings as extras, like avocado, bacon or other stuff. Went there several times, was never disappointed. Good for groups ☺️

Smetanaq is very beautiful café with (nearly) always great specialty coffee (from DoubleShot). However, here all the advantages end. This time I only got the takeaway coffee, but is happened to me several times that the super-annoyed and ungenerous staff did not even stop by the table and let us order, so we had to left, after all. Yesterday, when I went to take a coffee, I even had to wait so long by the bar just for the employees to tell me that I'm standing at a wrong place and I need to go elsewhere to order... Very unkind, I think. However, the food might be good but definitely overpriced regarding the location and usually it is very crowded so you need to wait just for a place to sit. I definitely recommend rather to search for any other café on the other side of Vltava, for example ;)

Beautiful space with amazing brekkie and brunch selection and tasty Coffee. Special thanks goes to Anička, who took care of us and was absolutely professional, friendly and helpful. We ordered Farmer’s Breakfast and SmetanaQ Breakfast and even though we were waiting for about 35mins, these were worth it waiting. I have to mention amazing Waffles with Strawberries and Mascarpone. We definitely recommend this place!

I highly recommend the waffles here. Really big portion, fresh strawberries. When I ordered last summer, it was all sprinkled with flowers. Also the cakes that are on display in the window are delicious. The avocado salad is also very good. Very nice staff.

Was a bit of a disappointment overall for the price. I ordered the Smetanaq special, which comes with an eggs benedict, bacon, avocado toast, strawberry waffle and coffee of your choice. The egg was fine, but the sauce was super salty, the avocado toast was delicious but tiny, the bacon was drenched in the hollandaise sauce, the waffle was okay, and i got charged extra for the coffee, because apparently not all coffees are equal, but i wasnt informed about this when ordering. It was pricey, so i expected better overall. The fresh juice was nice, that i paid separately. My friend ordered the rhubarb pancakes. They were enormous! But not in a good, appetizing way. The dough was dense instead of fluffy and pretty raw at places. The pink chai latte was superb!

Great breakfast!!! Best place in my opinion to get breakfast. Great atmosphere, awesome staff, very friendly and attentive to every detail. I love the food. Great location and near historic places. Enjoy your meal outside watching the tram and bridge or in the back balcony where is as peaceful and secluded.
