The Magnificent and Stunning Church with an unexpected history 1. The Church was magnificent and it was built in Rococo and Baroque architecture. The church interior was so grand and gorgeous. I love it inside out. One of the best Prague Baroque architecture. 2. There is also a tower that requires you to walk hundreds steps. When you walk up, the scenery outweighs the price (You don't need to pay if you have Prague pass) The scenery is spectacular and overlooks the Charles Bridge. 3. I am not going to tell you about what exactly happened at the top of the Church while cold war. You can find out yourself and you would be stunned by the history. Enjoy :)

A spectacular Baroque church in Prague This is possibly the most ornate church in a city of ornate churches. If you have any interest in Baroque architecture, this should be on your list for visiting Prague. However, the sheer opulence of the church can become overwhelming at times. The upper stories of the church may be visited, and the tower can also be accessed from a separate entrance.

The most famous Baroque church in Prague is also one of the most valuable Baroque buildings north of the Alps. The dome has an impressive diameter of 20 m, and the interior height to the top of the lantern is over 49 m, making it the highest interior in Prague. It is also an outstanding example of high Baroque decoration. Concerts are held in the church year-round on the historic organ dating to the 18th century.

It's a really beautiful cathedral in a very busy tourist area. There were lots of small parking spots; it's about lucky to find a parking spot nearby. It's little bit on up hill and when you go more up its more of a residential area type with stores. If you go downwards it’s more tourist type you see lots of souvenir stores and restaurants. The architecture of the buildings around this cathedral is as beautiful as the cathedral. There were lots of homeless people and beggars. I felt uncomfortable even to buy food and eating out in the open. I ran out my coins to give out. The area is Very crowded. It was nice but too much of the crowd stressed me out.

This is a Baroque architectural church and is an elaborate style of architecture popular in the seventeenth and eighteen centuries. This church definitely impress me as the most beautiful church I have seen so far. The sculptures are so intricately done and also covered by gold either in part of in full which the interior of the church so breath taking. The roof is also beautifully painted and that makes me look in awe as I walked into the interior of the church building. For those who love beautiful works of architecture, a visit to this building is a must.

Like all architecture in Prague, it is a very beautiful church, both externally and externally. It is not as beautiful against the backdrop of Prague Castle, but it is also very cool.

A stunning church. Beautiful decoration. Stunning ceilings. It is 130CZK to enter. Worth it. You can also go up to the tower and that provides great views of the area in Prague. A must see when visiting Prague.

Eye-catching, and breath-taking. This is such a beautiful church with great art presented. The entrance fee is not much but the church is definitely worth visiting. On the upper floor you will have a closer view of the ceiling where they have amazing paintings. There is also a gallery for art and it is just magnificent!

This is probably the most flamboyant church in Prague with lots of ornaments, paintings and sculptures inside. Actually, there are three different St. Nicholas churches in Prague but I think this one is the most sublime one. Definitely worth a visit.

Well, it’s certainly ornate and very spectacular. Much of what you would expect of an Eastern European cathedral… My name is Nicholas and I was born on the date of Saint Nicholas coincidentally! So it was a fun experience definitely; although fairly brief, you can only stare up for so long, maybe sit for quiet time and reflection. Like most churches of this nature there is a small fee to enter. Very beautiful, unique…

Perhaps one of the most impressive cathedrals I’ve ever seen - beautiful art, marble, and a baroque exhibit on the top floor - one of our favorite spots we’ve seen the entire trip.

We thought it would be good to experience a concert while in Prague and were approached by ticket seller as we passed this Church, so it was a spontaneous decision to buy tickets with out much knowledge. The venue is stunning at night, there were comfortable cushions on the pews and we had a front row seat. There were 7 members of the chamber group, a soprano and an organist played. We were enthralled! The acoustics were excellent, the music was beautifully played with great skill and the program would be familiar to most people. It was super to hear the organ being played. A great memory of Prague.

What got my attention with this church was the dome. The green dome had traces of gold which was very eye-catching. The spires by the dome were also quite nice. The carving all along the side and front of the church are quite remarkable. We didn't get a chance to take a look inside but I would guess it would be as spectacular. The column of the Holy Trinity is outside of this church.

One of the most beautiful churches I’ve ever seen. A lot of colourful details on the walls as well as lots of different religious paintings. I definitely recommend to have a look at it. The entry costs somewhere around 2 euros.

It is so far the most impressive church i have visited in europe. There is some different atmosphere there that make you stay there couple of hours, following the lights coming from the windows, taking amazing pictures. Must see in Prague for me! Lighting inside the church is highly satisfying and amazing to take great photos!

I visited for the purposes of climbing the Lesser Town Belfry Tower which is connected to the church. The view from the top is great, making you feel close to the castle and also to Charles Bridge at the same time. There are tram lines right below the tower that are fun to watch people come and go from. And there’s a surprise element that no other tower - that I climbed - in Prague, has. It’s very challenging to climb at times [though it starts out so easy and makes you think it’s going to be the whole time!] even though it’s not the tallest tower in Prague, and yet it’s worth it when you do get to the top. Along the way there are decorated quarters for the people that used to call the tower home, with period-appropriate furniture and historical explanations. And when you get to the top, there are preserved World War-era elements because of the tower’s strategic importance that add a really interesting aspect to the visit and the views.

There is a sad history in this place whereas people were thrown from the windows in the name of God some decades ago. The decorations are very good, the paintings in the upper deck are looking very new and vivid. You have to pay 100 Sek to enter, but the place is really good.

One word: WOW. I have seen a lot of beautiful churches in my day, but this Jesuit cathedral is certainly is among the best have had the pleasure to visit. They do charge a small admission fee to get in and look at the church, walk around but I think it is worth the small amount they charge at the entrance fee. After walking the downstairs and observing the magnificence, you can go to the upstairs gallery on one of the sides, and see if used from higher up.

One of the most breathtaking churches I have ever seen. Regardless of whether Baroque architecture is your cup of tea, this church will amaze. Every square inch is a work of art from the architecture to the statues with every wall covered in painting. Gilded gold and marble covers the interior and the full view is accessible from the gallery for no extra cost! Tickets are affordable with concessions to students, children and elderly, and can be bought on the door.

It's not worth the entry ticket. There are hundreds of beautiful churches for free in Prague. By charging an entry fee this one becomes a tourist trap and loses its importance as a religious place. I encourage others not to support them

(Translated by Google) Church of St. Mikuláš in Malá Strana is one of the leading Baroque buildings in Europe and is often called the most beautiful building of the Czech Baroque. Its massive dome and slender tower are an integral part of the panorama of Prague Castle. Surprisingly, the bell tower does not belong to the church and has a separate entrance. We owe the construction of one of the symbols of Prague to the Jesuit order, who wanted to build their greatest work in Bohemia here. On the site of an early Gothic church from the beginning of the 13th century, the Baroque construction of the entire Jesuit complex, incl. parish buildings and schools lasted from 1673 to 1752. The construction was started by the builder P. Bos, who was soon replaced by Giovanni Domenico Orsi. The decisive phase of the construction began only after 1702 according to a new variant, the authorship of which is attributed to Kryštof Dienzehofer. After his death, the construction was completed by his son Kilián Ignác Dienzehofer, who designed a unique solution for the vault and a massive dome. In 1752, a tower with a bell tower was also completed, which was modified by Anselmo Lurago (Original) Kostel sv.

Just beautiful. I highly recommend to go to the tower. The view is just amazing. And it is really cheap as well. Quite long trip until the top of the tower as it is really high. I had my heavy filming tripod with me so it wasn't easy to go up and down. But anyway I took amazing photos and videos. When you enter a church you look for humility and tranquility ... I did not find it here. ..Otherwise impressive in size and ornamentation statues and interior ... Currently there is an entrance of 100 crowns. You can go up to the gallery of 60 wooden steps and see the 10 paintings on display. (Original) Ако сте любители на бароковия стил,това е вашето място.... Church is good, lots of gold plated statues, designs are intricate but the overall visit experience is far from being a church. I accidentally left my tumbler inside and explained to the guard and ticket custodian that i have already purchased a ticket a while ago, but i have to go back inside since i left my tumbler. Despite many attempts to explain my side, they insist that I have to purchase another ticket to go inside and get my tumbler. Dejected, I have no choice but to purchase another ticket. Not even a trace of empathy and understanding for both the ticket custodian and guard. Such an irony despite it being a "church".
