We booked directly at the hotel at best rate Pro : × Friendly staff at the reception. x Parking located next to the hotel ... someone of the staff will guide you to the entrance of the parking (entrance not next door - this is the exit only) as you need a special key to enter (it is worth the extra cost) x Hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the Karly Most and next to Kampa park. x the deluxe rooms are nicely decorated x the cellar is nicely decorated Neutral x although deluxe room book we got first a standard room. After complaining at the reception this was corrected immediately with apologies. x unfortunately we could not the try out the restaurant (closed until 31.7.2021 due to technical reasons) x do not expect air condition so it can be hot in the summertime. x breakfast is standard with a variety of fresh products Will I come back ? Surely I will.

Really awesome hotel!!! Very cozy and quaint with unique medieval vibes. Love the armor and swords everywhere! Rooms are a good size. The breakfast buffet is out of this world!!! One of best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had. They also offer a welcome drink on arrival! Lovely touches. Highly recommend!

A pleasant experience in Prague.Very good hotel and services. But what impressed us was Arman's professionalism. He works in the hotel restaurant. A great guy. We're glad you exist. And he's very nice too. Congratulations! Best regards from us, Mihaela and Nicolae Dinu

Awesome cool medieval hotel with great breakfast, comfy beds, absolutely great location and lovely staff 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 I must also add: They have this super generous corner at the reception where you can have some snacks and water for free all day 💜

The rooms were big. Art decor. The bed linen could be improved. The dining hall is lovely. The breakfast items are quite good.. some items may finish early, and may not be replenished.. but plenty of other items on the menu. Staff is helpful. Location - very near the Charles Bridge and the Prague castle.

Nice place to stay. Good location to city by foot. Charles Bridge 5 minutes walk. Rooms are cosy and warm with a extra large comfortable bed. Very clean and staff friendly and helpful. Only thing I didn't like was the breakfast choice. There was not much choice for anyone who is gluten free but all round the place and atmosphere was great and I would go back again.

Located within 500 meters of most everything. The breakfast was the best I have found in Europe. The staff was not just friendly but willing to help all the time. Now for the best part, the grill. The guys that ran the outside grill are the best. We ate the spicy burger and I am willing to go back to visit just for that. That was the best burger i have eaten in a very long time. The fries were also spectacular. The only negative is that there is not air-conditioning in the room we stayed in. So if that keeps you away, you are missing out.

My friend and I had the most wonderful stay at the Pytloun. From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we were greeted with such friendly staff that made us feel instantly at home. Little touches, such as the welcome drink and tapas in the afternoon are such lovely touches to the hotel. The beds were so comfortable, the rooms were spacious and the breakfast was delicious. The location of this hotel is also perfect. Truly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.

I was misinformed about the room size, but there was no problem with switching it for bigger one (good they were available). Rooms of the same category have different sizes. Very nice breakfasts with fresh juices, hot and cold dishes - it was missing nothing. Fine staff (although I haven't received respond for my email before arrival which was important for me). Free snacks in the afternoon. Very good location, quiet and close to everything. Overall it was a good stay.

A lovely hotel that sits at the foot of petrin hill and very close to everything you need to see in prague. Breakfast was great each morning. The food and drink served is also really good. Service was brilliant and staff very friendly.

Drei tolle Tage in Prag = drei tolle Tage in diesem Hotel!! Super Lage! Super Zimmer! Super Frühstück! Super freundliches, aufmerksames Servicepersonal!!! Sehr sauber.

Conveniently located 10 mins walk away from the famous Charles bridge and 9 mins walk away from the National Theatre. It’s located next to a park which gives the feeling of tranquility even though the hotel is located next to the hustle and bustle. Rooms are adequate, nothing special but then the staff would make up for the lacking room standards. Staff is attentive, caring and patient with the guests. Room was cleaned throughly every day during my 6 night stay. Any toiletries that you may have forgotten to bring not to worry as the staff as gotten you covered. Breakfast was of a good standard, especially the scrammed eggs and the variety of breads. Hotel is decorated in a unique style which might not be of every ones cup of tea but I didn’t mind it as it was breathe of fresh air due to it being loud and over the top especially the breakfast hall. The night some guests started to play the piano in the big hall and it created a memorable experience. I’d definitely be returning back to Prague and will be staying at this restaurant. Staff deserves the high praise. Well done and thank you for looking after me so well.

Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of food to choose from during all time interval scheduled for breakfast they refilled the plates, even for people with food intolerance they had options. The first time I saw wine for breakfast  Everything was perfect. Great location, very warm room with traditional heating, comfortable bed, very, very clean, friendly and professional staff. Old style, medieval accommodation, we were visiting during cold season in November, we observed no mosquito nets or air conditioning, however for cold season the accommodation exceeded our expectations.

Super gelegen.

The worst stay ever. It was my very first travle to Prague with my husband and little kid age 6, and just after one night of stay, I doubt I would visit this place ever again. If you follow the map and arrive to the right address, the main entrance is somewhere far away from that spot. (One piece of paper attached on the backdoor is all they prepared.) We had to drive our car way around to get to the hotel. Only one staff was at the reception for late check-in guests (we felt sorry for him since he was kind but had to struggle doing everything by himself). The room was totally different and certainly not the one (royal deluxe double room) we have seen on the booking website. About 10m2 smaller than the room we paid for, spiders and webs above our heads, a water flooding refrigerator, and even fungus and stains in the bathroom.... We talked to the man at the reception, but he could't do anything because all rooms were fully booked. When we finally met the manager lady next morning, she just simply said room sizing can be varied and nothing became wrong (without any sign or look of feeling sorry, I felt she was rather rude). I still cannot understand for what we have willingly paid more if the room is randomly assigned and we have nothing to do as the lady insists.

So this hotel is conveniently located to city center and it's just a quick stroll across the bridge. Or if you want to take a street car you can get there even quicker. The location is pretty darn excellence. The ambiance is a little medieval kitchsy and somewhat bizarre. My room accommodations were just okay. It was a very small room. The bathroom was also probably a little too small for a larger guy like me. But it served as a nice space to decompress and sleep while I went out and explored during the day. So all in all I would say a pretty positive experience. The staff are all super friendly. Super on top of their stuff and whatever I needed They were attentive. Highly recommended.

TLDR; breakfast buffet is insane. Staff is super helpful and friendly. Location is perfect—close to everything yet super quiet. Restaurant, markets, sights, transit, etc. is 4-5 minutes walking. Well, the Charles bridge is farther. 10-15 minutes? Desk staff, dining room staff, cleaning staff, and beer garten(?) staff were super nice, friendly, and responsive.

Amazing hotel. Different than other luxury hotels, but very unique and special from the inside. The service is excellent, thank you Veronika! The breakfast buffet is very broad and big, the cars can safely be parked next to the hotel, it’s only a bit difficult to find. The location couldn’t be better, you can explore the city by foot. Just sometimes the cleaning ladies were a bit noisy in the morning. Overall a big recommendation!

We hade a nice staying in this hotel. The room & bathroom was specious and clean (thanks to Luba), it was all there we need. The bed was big (king size) and the mattresses we hard. Perfect for us to get a good night sleep! Location was in the city and walking distance the the old city and the Karlsbrücke. There is a park just by and parking posts are offered by extra payment. Overall we really liked the hotel a lot. It is kid and dog friendly. The knight are cool to see.

Superb hotel. Amazing breakfast with best cakes (every morning 6 different ones), pancakes, fruits and so on. Scrambeled eggs supreme! The staff is very friendly and international. Armors and weapons. Would recommend it to myself when I Alzheimers. Rooms are fine, but outside it is too awesome to stay there all the time.

The hotel looks very nice for the price and the room was well furnished. The staff was also nice and helpful. My biggest problem was the lack of air conditioning during above 30 degrees weather, meaning we had to open the windows. That's when the great location becomes a curse - because it's loud in the evening. At least they gave us a rickety old fan (available on request), which helped a bit. Besides that, the breakfast buffet was so-so and nobody in the hotel seemed to care whatsoever about the corona pandemic, which was pretty unsettling, but that seems to be true all over Prague... All in all, I would try another hotel next time. Air conditioning is a deal breaker in the summer. Sorry.

Beautiful place with medieval style, especially the restaurant is awesome. The boss, the staff are lovely, helpful. The breakfast is plenty, food is presented in nice style.Kampa Island is just a minute away, and almost so is Petrin Hill Funicular. But Charles Bridge, the castle,Strahov Mon. is also nearby.Perfect place, very close to the river.Highly recommended.

The location is great and within walking distance of the old town. The rooms are spacious, but there is no air-conditioning so it was really hot in our room, to the point that we could barely sleep at night. We got a ventilator, but that didn't help much. Their parking was full when we arrived, so we couldn't park our car there and were sent to a parking that was 15 min on foot from the hotel. We then switched to the closest Mr Parkit the next day. There are no pancakes for breakfast as mentioned in other reviews and the breakfast is average. There are gummy fried eggs, rice (?), sausages. There is one type of cake that was too sweet and underbaked, and bad mini chocolate croissants. No Chech guests were wearing masks anywhere in the hotel nor were they reminded to do so. If you saw someone with a mask, you knew they were a foreigner. Even at the reception the workers were sporadically wearing them, although by law they should have.

Stayed Aug 18. Pleasant room though room did not have a/c. A small fan was provided but was inefficient for hot days. The rooms became very hot during the day and the hot room did not cool down at night. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was very very good. A nice dining hall with piano played and fantastic breakfast choice. Location of hotel is perfect for a short walk to Charles bridge and the old town as well as other sites/views.

It's a historic old building that they should make more mention of. The lobby is small but serviceable. The elevator is really small, enough room for me and my suitcase, barely. The hotel in general was clean but it seems they store the vacuums in the hallway. The beds were extremely hard, but I did sleep well on them. The bathroom was also tiny, the shower about the same size as the elevator. The included breakfast buffet is served in a large medieval looking hall with live piano music and was quite good. The hotel is located on a quiet, small side road. It borders a park and is close to the river. If you don't mind walking it is close enough to the Charles bridge and old town to be almost convenient. About a 5 minute brisk walk to the bridge and 15-20 minutes to the old town square. I did the walk 3 times while I was there. There are plenty of good restaurants in the area around the hotel. Overall it's a great place to stay in Prague that's away from the crowds of the tourist areas so it's quiet. Yet it's close enough to be able to enjoy all Prague has to offer. If you want a modern hotel then look elsewhere, if you prefer a historic old hotel that is well maintained and clean then I do recommend this place.

Generally it's a nice hotel, rooms are small (and we had some luxury double bedroom), but cozy. Cannot say that their breakfast was particularly good.. Very average. No fresh juices, pancakes only before 9 a.m. and a bit strange life music, but it's a question of taste. Hotel location is very good, a nice and not too crowded area, close to Charles Bridge. So it was a nice experience with some small negative points. For example they took our small towels from yesterday and didn't replace them :D My résumé is that if you can get a room there for a cheap price - go for it.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise, not only because of its charm but the wonderfull staff. We had a welcoming reception by Filip despite being really early. We got a complimentary coffee and breakfast, which is the most complete I've ever seen. Lovely place.

  • 4/5 Ana S. 1 year ago on Google
Clean and cozy. The design of the hotel is ingenious in some old armory style. Good breakfast. The twin room is pretty small and the beds cannot be united. Entrance of the hotel is pretty hard to find as well as the parking because the entrance is on the other street not on the one where the GPS brings you. Take care and ask for directions by phone if possible if you come by car and you get for the first time to this hotel.

Very nice and clean rooms! The staff is very friendly and helpful. They give you a welcome free drink and even a present at the end! The breakfast was very rich and everything was very delicious! One of the best hotels we ve ever stayed!

The staff and service were amazing and Vasylyiva was especially helpful during breakfast. The breakfast had a large selection to choose from, both of food and beverages. Snacks were offered during the day and you receive a free beverage from the hotel bar. The rooms were cozy and the location was central and very walkable.

Absolutely fabulous hotel, definitely recommend. Lovely location, with private parking. The rooms are wonderful, extremely clean and incredibly spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is equally as perfect. The staff themselves are also brilliant. Incredibly friendly and helpful. Big shout out to Dmytro behind the bar - absolute star!!!

So many fun choices in Prague, but “the knights” of this all-Medieval armory deliver — not only in armor and armory relics and decor but in service. Very pleased! Fantastic location on the quiet side of the river (a 10-min walk to Old Town by crossing a delightful old mill footbridge and park directly outside of the hotel grounds, which are lovely). The hotel has four smallish floors with many cozy sitting areas inside and out. It includes an elevator; clean, quiet rooms; comfortable beds with loads of pillows; a small but mighty shower that doesn’t leak all over the floor (yes!); a delicious full breakfast; easy-to-use tram if your feet start talking back to you (which they will on Prague’s all-cobblestone pavement — leave your heels at home!); friendly, accommodating staff; and reasonable prices, given that it’s Prague. Recommend!

We had a wonderful stay here! The location was great, the staff super helpful and friendly, the place was clean, the room was big, the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast buffet that's included was the best we've had in Europe so far! We would definitely stay here again when in Prague. The place has so much character, we enjoyed checking out all the medieval decor.

  • 5/5 Clement N. 10 months ago on Google
The hotel staff especially at the reception was really kind and we overall loved our stay. Breakfast is very good, the location is close to almost everything you’d want to see in Prague while being near a nice and calm park near the river. The only complaint would be about the doors. The noise gets through quite easily. I didn’t mind it since I wanted to be awake early anyways, but it is what it is. Thanks for the free breakfast upon our arrival. We came to leave our luggage at 10am our day of checkin and we knew the room wasn’t ready, but they let us eat bra fast and have a coffee! We also had 2 welcome drinks for free at the bar (which includes a nice terrace outside when it isn’t winter). We realized how much effort and how many hours staff put into the well being of their guests. 🙏🏻
