Hostel one Prague is by far the best hostel you will ever stay in. The staff are more like friends than employees. The kitchen, courtyard and TV room are always full of really cool people to meet and talk to but the rooms are quiet if you need to relax. They have an activity wall filled with fun stuff to do every day but it's not mandatory so you can do your own thing if you want. The reception has endless recommendations for anything you feel like doing. The rooms are really cool! The beds are made when you get there and the bathrooms have bathtubs and showers. I think it's great that the employees are all volunteers so they really want to be there. Lastly, they have a free home cooked meal every night which is really awesome if you've been travelling for a while. It really makes you feel like home.

(Translated by Google) I stayed there for 5 nights in a 6-woman bed room. The beds are metal and the room has been big. Every day a cleaner came. - The staff is made up of young people who also look for the conversation and ask you what you are up to or how you are doing. At the beginning I had a very nice instruction in all the rooms that were available to everyone. A kitchen with a large dining table, "living room" with a couch and TV incl. Netflix, trunk (if you want to store your suitcase after checkout) etc. - I had to leave money as a deposit for my room key. Every day the staff undertakes an action e.g. Going out for a party or a city tour, where you can participate for free. Notices available. - Every evening at 8 pm the staff cook for the guests without you having to pay for it. There was even a vegan dish once. - the kitchen could be cleaner (Original) Ich habe dort 5 Nächte in einem 6er Frauen Bettzimmer übernachtet.

Best hostel I've stayed in across Europe. Free dinner each night and the staff are amazing. Massive shoutout to the Italian Leo who was exceptional in showing us around the town and being as friendly as he was. The hostel had the room prepped early so we were able to check in early (we were so tired so this was perfect). The bar is very cool as well and the vibe of the hostel means that everyone becomes friends very quickly. If you want to actually meet people easily I would highly recommend going to Hostel One Prague! It is number 1 in Europe.

Such a great experience staying here. Traveling alone I was not sure what to expect, but from from the moment I walked in I knew I was going to have a great time with how awesome the staff seemed. The facilities are great offering many room options, common area with computers and the availability to print. The rooms had a small kitchenette and downstairs had a kitchen that was available to guests. There is also a large lounge with a TV and couch if you need a day of relaxing and chilling out. The large back patio which almost always has people in it was a great place to hangout before going down to the in house bar/club. The Hostel organizes events and outings that I highly recommend taking part in. Overall great experience and will stay here again if/when I return.

Honestly the best hostel I've ever stayed at. The atmosphere is so laid back and welcoming, with a big family meal each evening with all the staff and the hostel-goers plus nights out every night of the week. I had so much fun I booked an extra two nights here. Massive thank you to the fantastic staff that made my time there so enjoyable: Tommy, Rob, Laura, Emma, Lewis, Tom & Joal! You're all legends and super helpful! Great place for a solo traveler or a group, can't recommend enough

I stayed here in December and absolutely loved it. Hostel One Home is very close to the biggest Christmas market in Prague and close to everything. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and in good order. If you are solo travelling and want to interact with other people, then this is the hostel to do it. They have a nightly homecooked dinner made by the staff and always had an accommodating vegetarian dish. The staff know their way around Prague and bring guests to city sites during the day and a bar & club every night. I had some of the best nights of my life. I specifically want to acknowledge Alejandra, Amanda, Anna, Dianna, Estabon, Rita, and Zach for being friendly, inclusive, and welcoming.

Awesome hostel! Staff are great, knowledgeable about the city & fun to hang out with. Take you on nights out & make free family dinner every night. Lots of areas to hang out depending on your mood, bar, lounge, etc. Beds are comfy and bathrooms are clean. Had a great stay, would definitely recommend staying here.

Recently stayed here for two nights with four of my friends and we absolutely loved it. Very welcoming and friendly staff, rooms were of a great standard, as well as a spacious kitchen and plenty of common areas. The hostel was also very social with different events on each night. We played some drinking games down in the hostel's bar before heading out to a local club, which was extremely good fun and also allowed us to socialise with other groups, as well as the hostel staff. I was also able to print out boarding passes free of charge, which was really helpful. On top of this, I was emailed immediately after our departure by some of the guys from the hostel, thanking us for our stay and wishing us well - a lovely gesture that no other hostel made over the course of our 2-week trip. Highly recommend!

Had so much fun! Everyone staying here (staff and travellers) were very friendly and welcoming. We travelled as a couple and stayed in the private room. It was basically our own apartment. We were able to meet people very easy. The hotel's staff have daily activities you can do. Such as walking tours and going out to bars in the evening. Would highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my time here because the staff was really nice/chill. The bar (cave) is fun to pre game and drink. They have a great organized system for bar crawls and events. There’s a free dinner every night. Shoutout to Tom for making me feel at home right off the bat. Love you all! - Etienne

Brilliant atmosphere, all the staff are really friendly particularly Kirby who is an absolute legend!

  • 5/5 Tiffany D. 4 years ago on Google
Staff was superb and friendly! Kirby offered me her winter jacket when I was surprised on how cold it got first of November! Very nice of her and the home cook meals for dinner, was homely and delicious! The space in each communal room was enjoyable. My bed pillow was more like a sofa pillow and the shower smelled like sewer water that’s been sitting. It didn’t help that it’s the only bathroom shared among potentially 8 other people in a room. There’s no window to air it out either. Location could have been more central. I had to take a metro or walk a good 20 minutes to get central. The electricity in my room blacked out one night so it was inconvenient.

The staff i meet became such good friends of mine, shout out to Mariah, Carolyn, Lewis, Max and Miguel ❤️❤️ We met such amazing travellers there too, some even travelled with us after that! Normally I don't bother writing a review, since in my opinion a lot of different things can influence a certain experience, whether you are having dinner in a shabby restaurant or spending the night in the best rated hotel in the city. However, the experience I've had in this hostel confused me so much that, after a lot of thinking, I would like to share my ideas so it won't happen to other backpackers. First of all, I'd like to compliment the staff. They were great, friendly, interactive with their guests and overall I have no complaints about them. The person I do have a problem with is the guy that I am going to assume is the manager. Me and a friend slept at the hostel for 1 night, and wanted to extend. Everything was fine, until the manager shows up and he says he can't extend our stay. Apparently people complained about us being loud during the night, even though I barely spend the night in my own bed and the hostel profiles itself like a party hostel. So we asked who complained, so we could apologise. He did not exactly know, he said. Then someone from our dorm comes in, we ask him whether we bothered him, he replied that he didn't even notice we were there. This goes on for a while, and no real explanation is given for the fact that we can't stay. All we could think of is that we were chilling in the common room at that moment, drinking vodka at a disputable hour of the day, and my bro was falling asleep on my shoulder. And then it hit us. We think the owner threw us out because he thought we were in a relationship together, and he did not want that in his hostel. Now I have no actual proof of this, it is the only plausible explanation I have come up with so far. Never before have I been treated this doubtfully in a hostel. Again, the staff is great, the rooms are fine, and the people who are staying there are nice. I just would not recommend gay couples going there. 'Cause I don't think they accept that over there.

Hostel one prague has been the best hostel I've ever stayed at. They had an amazing free vegetarian dinner, great day and night activities, as well as the renowned Rave Cave. Ophelie definitely made me feel welcome by answering all my questions, getting drunk with me and taking me to Royal Kebab every night I was there.

I will never stay at this hostel again even if they paid me. If you want to remember your frat party college days, you might love this hostel. Also if you want to get weed in Prague, you're sure to find some of the staff who can help (not first hand experience, heard from another guest). While the rooms were clean enough, the kitchen was a mess and the downstairs bar is grossly misrepresented - it's a dark and dank cave where people smoke. Regarding their parties it seems like a gamble - on different nights we had a terrible experience (staff got the entire group lost on the way to the bar and a participant was not given a voucher), and then had a great experience. The hostel staff is there for a good time and it's the most lax work environment you'll find. Some people like that, I don't. If you want a professional experience don't expect it. I had an issue and the hostel manager responded very aggressively: I left a night early because (due to the above) I felt uncomfortable and that the hostel was unorganized, dirty in common areas, and misrepresented online. I requested a refund for my third night, and was declined because it was not 48 hrs before check in. Not that I could have known what it was like 48 hrs before. But this wasn't even the issue - when I asked that they reconsider (via email) and that the resolution of this issue would impact my review, I was BLACKLISTED from the hostel for BLACKMAIL 😂🤣. I've met some unprofessional managers in my life but this beats all. This manager (Lewis) even threatened via email that if I posted the review I would be reported to the authorities for blackmail 😂🤣😆. I found the response so aggressive that I escalated to corporate but they just gave a generic "we follow the policies and won't change them due to your review." Go figure. Well, party animals, party on! Everyone else who wants a decent service on every other front - just steer clear.

Traveled most of Europe in hostels, this hostel was by far number one for me. The dinners prepared by Mot were fantastic and provided for all diets. From the get go the staff went above and beyond, Seamie and Ophelia were unreal taking us to the local bars and ensuring that we had an amazing time. Would definitely recommend to people keen for a night out.

Stayed here for 4 nights over Christmas, and it felt like home after a single night. Welcoming staff, chill and eclectic common areas. Daily activities like tours and walks were a great way to meet fellow hostel peeps (shout out to Andrea #2 and Ofelie for showing us around!) and free dinners every evening were nice. The bar downstairs was a good amount of grungy and the nightly bar outings get you into some cool bars and pubs. The staff is hella chill — kudos to Delaney for being amiable and fun from the get-go and Tommy for a sick dnb set! Accommodation-wise, the beds were classic hostel (not too comfy) and the showers were just alright. Wifi was a little spotty in my room on the top floor. But a hostel ain't a hotel so can I really complain? Location was a bit far from the hotspots in town (10-15 min tram rides bookended by 5-15 minute walks).

  • 1/5 신재원 4 years ago on Google
From the tram station to the hostel, the street is uphill and then downhill, paved by stone (not asphalt), full of dog excretions. Big problem if you are with a luggage with wheels. The wheels will step on dog fecal material, and can go broken because the road is not flat. The staffs are very kind and nice. But the manager guy (maybe he is the owner, white guy with beard) is emotional, arrogant, rude. I Would never stay there.

Check your vibe!! This hostel is really amazing and the staff and people there are so friendly. I would however say check your vibe before booking!! We thought it was going to be a little more low key. If you are looking for a classic Europe hostel experience complete with star wars murals on the walls and a rave cave and endless people to party with, definitely book here! If you’re looking for cute and jazzy and and social I would look towards bourdnik hostel right down the road!

  • 5/5 Jamie H. 5 years ago on Google • 2 reviews
This was by far the most amazing hostel I've ever stayed in! The staff was exceptionally friendly and genuinely excited to share their city recommendations with you. The organised activities and tours were awesome and gave you every opportunity to see and do everything you needed to in one visit (without having to shop around for a good deal on drinks & tours on your own). By the end of our weekend, it felt like we had created our own little family in Prague. I have to do a particular shoutout to Rob & Mon - who went from great hosts to lifelong friends in a matter of days. I can't wait to go back!!
