I've been to the gym only, not the swimming pool. The place has a variety of choices regarding equipment. A con for me is that the ventilation in the gym depends on open windows, rather than on the AC.

Pool is cool but need to find the time when it is not full. For man sauna it is not recommended to go...last time for example two guys started to play with each other manual and oral way while people were there who are not interested in that kind of resting...thank you but never again.

Negatives: dated, chaotically placed (and continuously relocated) equipment. Positives: Not crowded, absolute minimum of steroid narcissists/malnourished barbies. A gym for people that work out for the right reasons - have yet not seen anyone take selfies here...

I only visited for the swimming pool. The water is probably the coldest I've ever experienced - it's kinda like swimming in the Baltic sea in winter

great lap swim today. Front desk and swimming pool staff were super helpful. Close to my hotel and very reasonable. Visit the coffee roaster on your way out! And checkout the old school elevator(but dont ride)

Despite the gym's outdated decor and equipment, the facilities are well-maintained and offer a decent workout space. While it lacks modern amenities, the staff is friendly and helpful. If you can overlook the dated appearance, it still serves its purpose for a solid workout session

Super old equipment and old school environment, they do offer lots of group exercises but it's not a kind of gym I am attracted to. Specially if there is much better selection of gyms in Prague.

i go here often for swimming or aquaaerobic. the classes are great, although the facilities in the bathroom and changing room are the worst. basically no water pressure, impossible to take a shower, there is not a single proper hairdryer and when I brought mine the electricity in the plug was not working. classes are great though, to repeat, but it’s a pain afterwards.

Good swimming pool in the centre of the city. Not very busy usually.

I come here to use the pool w multisport card. Over all it s all a bit old and retro, but usually clean. I find the staff not very helpful, and the schedule confusing. I planned my swim two days in advance and checked the schedule to make sure to come when it is free for public. On the day of, they told me they actually changed it last minute and it will open an hour later...

Swimming pool was clean, not crowded, big enough. Water should be warmer.

Convenient location, swimming pool seems to be not overcrowded. Water in the pool has some specific flavor, not critical though.

Gym is old, but for the price its okish. But I have never seen such unwelcoming staff in any gym/place in whole of Prague. Expect a bad welcome, just ignore it and head towards the gym.

Rude, condescending front desk staff. Scammers, not welcoming and unkind. My husband and son come back from their workouts puzzled by why they have to be so rude! Do better YMCA it’s 2022!

Old rusty gym equipment but lots of space and nice staff. Also a clean gym (aside from the rust which is arguably unavoidable due to the age of the equipment). Thanks

Proper pool: 3 lanes, only a few people on weekends, clean water. 80czk for 50mins or 125 for 100 mins, in both cases plus 2 per minute for extra. Accepts credit but cash only for towel, 40k.

The Y is on the pricier side of gyms in Prague with old equipment and no frills. The one thing they have going for them is their Olympic swimming pool which although very cold, is included in their 1250 kc per month gym package. Many of the premium gyms in Prague offer packages that include sauna, pool, jacuzzi, classes (yoga, plates, Zuma, circuit) and a renovated 21st century gym for less money. The YMCA is generally a poor value unless you really need a gym and swim at Nam Republic for lunch workouts. I have enjoyed the service of the Young Mens Christian Association in other countries but in Prague they are a real let down.

Visiting only swimming pool. Dressing room is a pretty tight, showers are in very good condition. Water is warm, you can regulate water temperature. Pool is not too crowded usually. They offer hair dryers, is great. Place is clean, has great location, opening hours are very good. They accept Multisport card. Highly recommend

There are swimming pools, sauna, showers, lockers working out gym, spinning room, spaces for group lessons. Not the most modern gym but it is located at a very old building and the lift is a tourists attraction...

Easy to access swimming pool, many aqua aerobics lectures throughout the week, even manageable as a part of longer lunch break

I visited sauna today. Must say, that it is quite terrible place. The sauna is after recent reconstruction, but… The sauna itself is really small (6 people is enought), heated room is not ventilated, so it is wet and it stinks by the sweat of people. Rest room is small (only 6 deckchairs) which are situated directly next to the showers - no door, no walls, people on chairs watch other people taking the shower. The pool with cold water is as small as possible, only 50 cm deep and water doesn’t cicrulate at all - you bath in the same water as all people the same day before you. The locker room is the same story - as small as possible… Last, but not least, no music anywhere, so you can hear rumbling stomach of your neigbours ;-) I think there are many other much better places to visit there.

Honestly, it's spacious but the machines are old rubbish that only helps to damage your muscles as there are no fail-safes. Many are broken, too. Ruzova5 is much better and feels cozy..

Small indoor swimming pool in the city center. Three lanes only. Check availability of lanes online as the pool is often reserved for private swimmer lessons only (especially in the evenings).

  • 1/5 Simona S. 5 years ago on Google
It's really unhygienic that not only visitors but also personal trainers use the gym barefoot. The weights are always all over the place and not even paired. So it's really hard to find 2 of them so that I can start working out. And what was the worst experience recently. One of the barefoot trainers actually sat right next to me as I was doing crunches and he was watching me while eating. I'm really disgusted.

horrible smelly bathrooms and changing rooms. The reception it’s the worst! So much attitude from these girls and rudeness with 0 or any customer service. The only thing what’s keep me there it’s my trainer.

(Translated by Google) Classic fitko, older machines, sometimes non-functional, but otherwise fulfills its function, there is nice staff and a large selection of group lessons and also as one of the few to have a swimming pool in the center of Prague. and total boiling water, when the boiling water predominates, it's a pity, because otherwise the fitko is great (Original) Klasické fitko, stroje starší, občas nefunkční, ale jinak plní svou funkci, je tu milý personál a velký výběr skupinových lekcí a taky jako jedni z mála mají v centru Prahy bazén👌🏻 co musím ale vytknout jsou nefunkční sprchy - tzn.střídající se ledová a total vařící voda, kdy spíš převažuje ta vařící, je to škoda, protože jinak je fitko super

I have visited only the swimming pool not the gym or other rooms. The pool is not as big elsewhere but it didn’t really matter. There was not many people during my visit - an hour before closing. There was one track for sportsmen with a trainer and two more for other swimmers. The whole area - swimming pool, dressing rooms, showers - surprised me with it’s cleanness. There is also a rule: you have to wash your body before entering the swimming pool and it seems people really do. I was were happy to find this place. The staff was also very nice. They do a great job taking care of us - customers - and the whole sport centre.

Nice sport/gym center, offers all you need. A little bit crowded in the normal after-office time, but it is manageable. They got every machine you need. Maybe it is missing some space, but it does not matter. The pool is also nice to go for a swim instead of/after working out. Sadly the sauna is in reparation, but let's hope it gets repaired fast !
