Only one day before arrival they tell you you cannot pay by card because the system is broken and only with cash. When you check out they are not at the reception because they took their break earlier then 11 AM and they canceled my booking because they received payment by cash and because of this trick they don't have to pay BOOKING.COM a fee. Beds and sheets are not so clean. To finish on a good note. The location in the city is perfect tho.

We stayed 3 nights in a private room at Bunker Factory Hostel. The room itself was dirty, very badly furnished and without towels. It was impossible to close the shutters because they were broken. Fortunately, shared bathrooms were clean enough when we were there. The receptionist was very cold with us and clearly lacked sympathy. Rooms open only with a 8-number code, which is pretty complicated to remember. So you could hear everyone in the corridor knocking on the doors in the middle of the night... Especially because sound isolation between the corridor and the rooms was pretty bad. Ok so the PROS: central location and walking distance to all important things. Place is inside a mall and right over a metro station so well connected too. They use codes instead of keys to enter all the diff doors. Has a main entrance that can be tricky to find at first and then at night you have to enter through a diff door with a security code. The not so great: rooms def look better in pictures than in real life. Because it’s a youth hostel, some of these kiddos must smoke inside the rooms so our room was pretty stinky. They did offer to clean the room better or give us an apartment for extra €. There really is no ambiance inside of the hostel… the main lobby has a pool table and some couches but nobody really hangs out there. They do have options for bar crawls and what not. But over all not very social. Also, if you are the type that likes to use the kitchen and fridge… like I said… youth hostel… these kids don’t really know or want to clean after themselves so the kitchen gets pretty messy. Bathroom were okay…. Showers flood at times …

Pretty disappointed with this hostel. Location is amazing and that’s the only good thing I have to say. Rooms look way better online than in person, they don’t even provide you a fitted sheet so your sheet doesn’t stay covering the mattress, we stayed in a double bed private room where the room was so small the beds couldn’t even be next to eachother, and only one of the beds had a box spring the other was without. Leading to super uncomfortable sleeping for the person without the box spring. The kitchen was gross, bathrooms often times without toilet paper. No ambiance which doesn’t make or break my stay, but just something to note.

The only good thing I can say about this hostel is the location. The staff aren’t helpful and there is no atmosphere whatsoever. The beer crawl doesn’t exist, tried to join one evening and was told it had been moved to another hostel but wouldn’t tell me where. Instead the staff told me that this isn’t a cozy hostel and people just come here to go out and get drunk. Didn’t see it take place any other night. As a female traveller I felt a bit uncomfortable in a mixed room where I was the only girl with 7 boys. Tried to speak to staff about this but they told me that their main clientele is groups of men who go out and get drunk and so they couldn’t do anything about it. Super reassuring!!

Great location and private rooms for 3 people costing £75 each felt like good value. The shared toilets could do with having some distance between the urinals and cubicles. The service we received when we reported the door not working was fantastic - the lady was quick to resolve the issue.

I spent almost an hour trying to find it. Not even google displays the address. Very grumpy / entitled / rude girl in the reception. This hostel have a lot of potential but we’re lacking in several areas in my opinion. The first impression of the hostel was very good with nice decor and interior, the rooms were very modern and designed properly with curtains on each bed which is a plus. The hallways and common rooms were also cleaned regularly. There is also a shared fridge in the common room which is another plus. It is also extremely central in Prague which is great. Some of the cons; there are bugs and flies in the men’s showers, some of the showers did not have frosted glass, there are holes in the walls in the bathrooms and the service could’ve been better. When I came down to get my laundry the day after I was told they didn’t wash me clothes because they didn’t have time. The kitchen closes at 9pm though so that is super weird. Great lock boxes under beds but are loud. The beds are nice but the metal is pretty loud as well. The place seems nice when you arrive but it feels really uncared for. On the upside, it is very central and the facilities appear to be relatively new. We booked a private room but had window cleaners burst in at 9am while we were sleeping demanding to clean the room and shouting at us in Czech. The lights next to most of the beds don’t work, there is random broken bits of furniture in the hallway and the showers have no privacy whatsoever - just a glass door. There isn’t a lot of soul to the place and people barely look you in the eye in the corridor. Wouldn’t go back.
