Absolutely good looking, many will agree the most beautiful old fashion bridge ever. Every single sculpture, statutes on the bridge are individual piece of art. When near sunset, the rivers with some boats, pigeons, view is absolutely stunning. Unfortunately the crowd is insane, rough estimate there are thousands of tourist on the bridge at the same time ALL the day time.

This bridge has nice views of the city and it's a great spot for pictures but it's so overwhelming crowded it makes it hard to enjoy the experience. It took us almost 40 minutes to reach it despite being a 5 min walk. The bridge is cool and all but the upkeep is not great and all statue are blackened and not really take care of except for the parts that people touch which are shiny as gold.

Located in the heart of Prague is this beautiful Bridge known as Charles Bridge. It connects one part of the city with the another but it has more significance than merely connecting the two parts of the city. It is a major tourist attraction and every day thousands of tourists flock to get a view of the city from this bridge. The views are quite beautiful in the evening or at night as well. In the evening and night the bridge is illuminated by a number of mechanical lamps from old time and it gives a representation of a story book tale. I recommend visiting this place at around 5 pm so that you can enjoy night and day view. Spend some time around as well as there are number of good coffee and candy shops.

Charles Bridge is not just a bridge but a historical monument. There are historical monuments on both side of the bridge and it connects the city to the Prague Castle. You can go up in the side bridge building and enjoy the view the aerial view but you have to pay a small fee. There is a small Museum as well inside the bridge. if you want to take good pictures, I would recommend you to go there early morning.

Charles Bridge is beautiful, unique, with many beautiful statues. With a good guide, you will learn everything about the history of the bridge. Just being on the bridge takes you back to some past times, you get some special energy. Many tourists visit it, so it gets very crowded, but it is really worth visiting. I recommend it as well as the city itself, which is impossible not to adore.

Certainly a historic spot to visit in the city. We couldn’t be more enthralled with the architecture of the bridge and the surrounding region. The old town leading to the bridge is pretty majestic lined with some rare arts.

This is one of the most famous bridges in Prague, and it is also the oldest bridge in the city. The sights are beautiful, whether it's dark or light outside. No matter what season. It is a good idea to be on the bridge early in the morning because there won't be many people, and the view is incredibly beautiful. At night, it’s also crowded but quite beautiful too

The Charles Bridge is one of the major attractions in Prague. It is a pedestrian only bridge that crosses the river Vltava providing a link between Prague Castle and the city's Old Town. The bridge is of stone construction and is home to over 30 statues. We visited Prague in 2018, and the bridge and its location seemed to act as a magnet for tourists. Well worth a visit.

One of the best places for pictures in Prague bit please do it justice nas read about it before you go because this is one of the most important landmarks of Prague. Also, if you are going to ask for a wish from St John, do do with your left hand and DO NOT touch the dog as it is suppose to give bad luck! Enjoy it. Here is a collection of pictures of some of the statues in the bridge.

Charles Bridge is one of the top highlights and attractions in Prague. Tremendous views of the Prague Castle, Vltava River, National Theatre and many other beautiful sights. In normal tourist times (non Covid), this bridge is packed with people. Best time to visit is very early in the morning.

Great location, one of my favourite places in Prague. In a sunny day a view over the river is simply stunning 🤩 Despite the years passing by, one thing never change - the bridge it's always fully packed with tourists! 😅 I think I'm yet to witness it empty... perhaps during a romantic night 😌🐻

Initially I thought that going to the Charles Bridge would just be another old bridge, packed with lots of tourists. I ended up going back to the bridge four times, each time I went back I had new and interesting experiences. Go early in the morning if you want "people free" pictures. The performers on the bridge are entertaining. The bridge is also a nice spot to just hang out and visit with people.

Very cool spot in Prague. You get a great view of The Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral. Plenty of places to take pictures. Artisans are selling their work on the bridge and a few musicians are playing. You can spend about 10 minutes to an hour walking up and down the bridge.

Gorgeous bridge, has live musicians, amazing views of the city, the castles, and river... magical during sunset and when the lamps turn on at dusk.

Beautiful and the history is great but it is filled with tourists which makes it difficult to enjoy fully and take nice pictures. Best would be to go very early morning and beat the crowds. Evenings are also extremely busy in Prague. We also went to Legion bridge instead and took pictures of Charles Bridge as it gives you a beautiful view which is not as crowded

A Majestic Stroll Through History. Visiting Prague is like stepping into a fairytale, and Charles Bridge is undoubtedly one of the most enchanting chapters in this storybook city. With its cobblestone path and breathtaking views of the Vltava River, feels like a timeless link between the past and the present. Whether you're a history buff, a romantic soul, or simply a traveler in search of beauty, Charles Bridge is a must-visit. Crowds are inevitable, especially during peak tourist hours, but the lively energy adds to the experience. To avoid the hustle and bustle, consider visiting during the quieter hours, allowing for a more intimate connection with the bridge and its surroundings.

Charles Bridge is a medieval stone arch bridge that crosses the Vltava River in Prague. It consists of 16 arches. The original bridge built in the 12th century was badly destroyed by flood, and replaced by the present bridge. It has been referred to as "Charles Bridge" since 1870, after King Charles IV. The bridge is about 516 metres (1,700 ft) long and nearly 10 metres (33 ft) wide. 30 predominantly Baroque statues of saints, were carved to decorate the bridge. All the statues were carved from sandstone, except the statue of St. John of Nepomuk, the oldest statue on the bridge, was cast in bronze. Over time due to pollution in the air, acid rain and constant contact with tourists, sandstone deteriorates and turned black. Our travel group walked along the Vltava River bank to the bridge, and caught a view of the bridge from the distance. We were surprised that the bridge was not packed with tourists yet, otherwise it would be very difficult to take photos of the statues in the presence of the tourists next to them. There were buskers, portrait artists and souvenir vendors on the bridge eager to grab your attention. and your financial contribution. Once reaching almost halfway of the length of the bridge, the views of both sides of the river under the bridge were magnificent. We returned to the bridge in the evening when the lights were turned on. There were hardly any tourists around. The atmosphere was entirely different. Put it rather bluntly, I would not like to walk on the bridge in a misty night. The statues did not really excite me positively.

Místo spojující 2 břehy, zde stával románský most Juditin.

One of the most famous places of the city of Prague! This beautiful bridge offers a very nice view over the river and has some very nice pieces of old art/statues on it. The street artists on the bridge are friendly and completes the picture of a nice touristic place. Definitely worth visiting!

Beautiful bridge. Looks really nice during the day and even better in the night. You can buy some handmade Jewellery, meet local artists etc. The only not nice thing on the bridge (and in Prague) are homeless people asking for money and using dogs to make people feel more sorry for them. Dogs are mostly loose and aggressive to other dogs. I think city should do something about it!

If you have short city break, in Prague don't try to squeeze as many or as much.... just go for a walk in Old Town and enjoy your time there. Walk slowly over the Charles Bridge and spend your time studying every detail in the armaments. You will want to come back again, believe me.

I loved being able to walk across the bridge! There were so many great views of Prague, and the bridge was full of local artists and musicians showcasing their work. They are in the process of revitalizing the statues, which was incredible to see when comparing the older ones to the newer ones. Like the rest of the city, my only regret was not being able to spend more time exploring! If I am ever able to return to Prague, I plan to return ❤️

Like the old town square, this is a bit of a “must visit” when in Prague. Read up on the history of the bridge a little bit before going to walk over it and you’ll understand a bit more of it’s significance. Not too many days of the year when it is not packed full of tourists, but it is still worth a crossing. Nice to see the artists and other local hands selling their wares here still. I crossed this bridge first time back in 2008 and it’s still got it! Be sure to stop and take in the views of the gates and the river as it is easy to get swept up in the wandering crowds.

One of the great bridges in the world. Stunning views of the city in all directions including the castle and cathedral. The bridge is loaded with statues and beautiful sculptures made of striking stone that pops out against the rest of the landscape. The bridge links the two historic sides of the river and is a medieval gem. It is one of the m oh at atmospheric locations anywhere. Even the large crowds barely dim the experience. Make sure to go at sunset for even more stunning views.

Very beautiful bridge, connecting old town with new town. The gates at the entrance are decorated beautifully and on both sides of the bridge there are statues. On the bridge you can find a lot of street artists and small markets. Unfortunately the bridge is often very crowded and it takes you a long time to get to the other side. Would recommend to go there early in the morning or late in the evening. Definitely a sight you should not miss in Prague!

Exceptional bridge with lots of amazing statues on both sides and on its entrance telling much about the awesome art of this lovely city during the 18th century. The Times Square of Prague: very crowded but you’ve got to go. A 600+ years old medieval stone bridge at the heart of the city, is filled with visitors and portrait painters and trinket vendors. I’ve a dear friend named Norbert - so a photo with saint Norbert statue is a must for me. My first visit to the bridge was in 1993; old photo was taken in 1984

I congratulate Charles on what is a simply fantastic bridge. If you have ever heard the saying “build a bridge and get over it”, that is exactly what Charles and the people of Prague have done here. Some simply beautiful scenery, amazing statues, and also convenient from a transportation perspective. This is in my top 5 foot bridges of the world.

Charles Bridge is quite popular in Prague. It was built many years ago and represents one of the most direct ways to reach the old town within the city. It can be visited at any time, as long as there is daylight you can see the details, while at night with the street lighting it will create a romantic atmosphere.

What a magnificent bridge, full of statues, tourists and locals, artists playing their exotic instruments, very rhythmically, I must add, others drawing portraits and caricatures, some selling jewellery, definitely full of life and a wonderful vibe. We went to the bridge on 3 separate days, with very varied weather, very clear and calm on one day and fairly windy and cloudy and chilli on the others. The view either side of the bridge, on a clear day, is also breathtaking especially at sunset. The golden lights shimmering from the buildings onto the water. The ploution in general seemed very low and the air purer. We saw frequent flock of geese flying across the bridge, very nice indeed. The tourist steamers and boats were going to and fro endlessly. The only negative point: The free to use public toilets seem to be nonexistant, this definitely needs to be looked at as I am sure many of you who are going there will experience this dilemma. That said, you should definitely make it a point to visit the Charles Bridge.

Charles Bridge is an iconic gem in the heart of Prague, offering a picturesque stroll with breathtaking views of the Vltava River and Prague Castle. The bridge’s historic statues and the Old Town Tower add a touch of medieval charm. Whether during sunrise or sunset, the atmosphere is enchanting. Street performers and artists contribute to the lively ambiance. It’s a cultural and architectural masterpiece that captures the essence of Prague. A must-visit for anyone seeking a blend of history, beauty, and the vibrant spirit of the city.

During my recent visit to the iconic Charles Bridge, I had the pleasure of experiencing its timeless beauty both by day and night. The chilly January winds added a touch of winter magic, enhancing the already romantic atmosphere that permeates this historic masterpiece. By day, the bridge stood proud, showcasing its rich history and architectural grandeur. Built in the 14th century, Charles Bridge spans the Vltava River, connecting the historic Old Town with the Lesser Quarter. The impressive lineup of 30 statues adorning the bridge, featuring saints and historical figures, offered a glimpse into the cultural richness of Prague. As dusk settled in, the bridge underwent a breathtaking transformation. The soft glow of the street lamps cast a warm light on the cobblestone pathway, creating a captivating ambiance. The cityscape, with the illuminated Prague Castle in the distance, added to the enchantment of the evening. Despite the winter chill, the bridge buzzed with life. Musicians played melodic tunes, artists showcased their creations, and couples strolled hand in hand, enveloped in the bridge's romantic vibes. The panoramic views of the illuminated city from the bridge were nothing short of spectacular, making it a perfect spot for capturing unforgettable moments. One cannot overlook the fascinating legends associated with Charles Bridge. It is said that eggs were mixed into the mortar during its construction to make it more durable. Whether true or not, such tales contribute to the bridge's mystique, adding an extra layer of intrigue to an already captivating experience. Charles Bridge is a must-visit destination, offering a delightful blend of history, architecture, and romance. Whether admired under the gentle glow of the winter sun or bathed in the enchanting lights of the evening, this iconic bridge leaves an indelible mark on every visitor, making it a highlight of any trip to Prague.

Magnificent, magical, impressive and outstanding work of art. This bridge is hundreds of years old yet its charm, history and legends are still well intertwined and continue bewitching its visitors from around the word. The bridge looks as if it has been suspended in time and space and evokes so many emotions and feelings, mostly though those of bewilderment and owe. It's magic aura it's still clearly perceptible and adds to it's already solid charm. Please be sure to visit the bridge while educating yourself about its history which is rich and also gruesome at times. Incredible and unforgettable place I can't recommend enough and that I already miss. Will come back.

  • 5/5 Benedict U. 4 years ago on Google
At first, the bridge looked like any normal bridge except there are two towers on either end. The most interesting part of the bridge is that it is lined on either side with statues of Saints and other religious events such as the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The statues were really nice to look at and there were quite a few to compare. The views on the bridge were also quite nice, being able to look out over the river across Prague. The only issues were the large volumes of people and the buskers which hold up the droves of people trying to cross the bridge. Although there are plenty of bridges around, you should cross this one at least once to appreciate all the history carved into the bridge.

I loved the place. A walk along the long stretch of historic Charles Bridge on River Vltava is something to cherish for ever. There are sketchers, musicians, souvenir sellers scattered across the bridge. You can get your sketch/ cartoon drawn, buy souvenirs, listen to soulful, traditional music and enjoy each moment of your time there. You can feed seagulls too!! You can watch the diner ferries on River Vltava. All in all, it is a must have experience if you are in Prague

(Translated by Google) Admittedly: the bridge has style and has been for a very long time: it has had to carry crowds since the 14th century and that this has been increasing steadily in recent years can only be explained by the level of awareness and the historical significance, so much to see or to marvel at not it in itself. The statues of saints are getting on in years, but are apparently also gradually being renovated, the view of the Vltava is quite nice, but the countless people in one place do not really make you feel. There are certainly better places to look.

(Translated by Google) The Charles Bridge is the most famous landmark in Prague and connects the Old Town (Staré Město) with the Lesser Town (Malá Strana). At more than 500 meters long and 10 meters wide, the Charles Bridge once had 4 lanes for carriages. It is currently pedestrianized. The Charles Bridge gets its name from its creator, Charles IV, who laid the first stone in 1357 to replace the Judit Bridge, which was destroyed by a flood. Along the bridge are 30 statues located on both sides of it, many of which are copies as the originals are in the National Museum in Prague and in Vyšehrad and were built in the early 18th century. The first statue to be added in 1683 was that of Saint John Nepomuceno. Juan Nepomuceno was thrown into the river in 1393 by order of Wenceslao IV and in the 18th century he was sanctified.

Charles bridge has 30 Baroque statues and statuaries situated on the balustrade forms a unique connection of artistic harmony with the underlying Gothic bridge. Most sculptures were erected between 1683 and 1714. They represent various saints and patron saints worshipped at that time. The most prominent Bohemian sculptors of the time took part on decorating the bridge, such as: Matthias Braun, Jan Brokoff and his sons Michael Joseph and Ferdinand Maximilian. Among the most notable sculptures, one can find the statuaries of St. Luthgard, St. Crucifix or St. John of Nepomuk. It is said that touching the statue of St. John of Nepomuk will make one wish come true. That is why nowadays parts of the statue are polished and look shiny from countless hands that have touched then with hope along many years. Starting from 1965, all of the statues have been systematically replaced by replicas and the originals have been exhibited in the Lapidary of the National Museum.

It is one of the famous and best spot to visit if you ever travel to Prague . The bridge has a particular number which defines its construction date (135797531). There are many statues on the bridge and some of them are even considered to be lucky which can make your wish come true if someone touches them in a particular manner. Do visit the bridge and learn about it from the tourist guide.

Very nice pedestrian bridge connecting old and new town. On one side you are exiting near the main square where you have the famous astronomical clock. And on the other you are near the church where the infant Jesus is located. On the bridge and on its ends you have artisans and food shops and merchants. Along the bridge is nice Wal over the river. The statues along and the towers on the extremities are very beautiful and give you that gothic vibe you find in may places of Prague. Recommended to go during the day and night.

Great tourist attraction that we came to see. My girls loved it as I did also. We watched a few scenes from the movies filmed on the bridge then went to try to find the exact spot. People on the bridge selling things which take away from it but it’s ok. Enjoyed the experience and would love to see if again.

Prague indeed holds breath taking view. It's must visit place atleast once in a lifetime. I traveled from Bonn to Prague and the entire journey was marvelous indeed. I really don't have enough words to explain. Take a look at some of my pictures that I captured near charles bridge

Charles Bridge is a beautiful sight at day or night. It is located at the heart of the historic downtown and can be located by following the brown signs around the area. It is worth the trouble of walking up the stairs for a view from the top.

Beautiful pedestrian walk bridge Amazing statues and views of the city The bridge it's always very busy with people crossing

The most stunning bridge I've ever seen, in plus that it can be only used by pedestrians. Beautifully enlightened in the night. Recommend going there in the winter when there are less tourist, because in the summer it is very crowded. On the bridge you can pass by many artists.

It is amazing place to be ..whether its daytime or late evening. We had been lucky to have visited when there were no crowds. Try to visit it on a weekday. Take your time to stroll on the bridge and do go on top of old tower. It is worth the ticket price

Beautiful ancient bridge with a history. This is one of the best places which gives you the best view of the city Prague over river Vtlava, specifically during the new year eve. However, the bridge is only open for pedestrians.

A bridge that is popular with tourists and for a good reason. It offers great vantage views and has a lot of beautiful structures from which to take memorable photos. One for your to do list in Prague.

Oh wow, the Charles Bridge is amazing! I love the view, the statuarys are stunning. there are many spots to stop for a bite to eat or just dilly dally around. Definitely a must-have to visit!

Beautiful bridge near the center of town that is worth to cross even if it is out of your way. As I showed in the attached images, the bridge features breathtaking views and dozens of statues along the way, connecting to urban centers of the city that make the bridge useful and accessible. It will take 5 minutes of your time and I guarantee it will be worth it. Enjoy your time!

One of the most famous sights in Prague. It is a Gothic-style stone bridge where a few dozen statues depicting saints are placed. The bridge is currently only for pedestrian use, but quite crowded during the day, but also picturesque, especially in the lighting during the evening sun

Amazing landmark. Must visit for everyone on a trip to Prague. Early morning you will enjoy because very few people there but else it is super busy with many tourists. I really enjoyed the view.

Of course a very touristic place, however beautiful nonetheless. Make sure you visit it both during the day and night. It's a totally different experience. Also the banks on both sides are worth exploring.Lots of artists and live music all day long.

This city is so cool! Awesome vibe here. Cool hangouts/pubs/bars, great food, and the people are awesome! Everyone here seems to be cheerful and that is something I don’t usually find in such a touristy place. Charles Bridge is iconic and has so much to see and photograph. Lots and lots of history, and so we’ll maintained. You can’t help but love this place!

  • 4/5 Vignesh G. 8 months ago on Google
The view of the river and city from the bridge is amazing, but too many small shops make it a little crowded, street musicians add to the charm, but these small shops selling souvenirs just occupy space. Maybe they should reduce the numbers or not allow them in the centre part of the bridge. I know they are trying to make a living but the bridge isn't that wide.

Prague is an enchanting city, and its crown jewel, Charles Bridge, is an absolute marvel. Stepping foot on the bridge feels like entering a fairytale realm where history comes alive. The bridge's architectural splendor, adorned with captivating statues, stands as a testament to the city's rich heritage. Walking across it, you can't help but be mesmerized by the breathtaking panoramic views of Prague's stunning skyline. Charles Bridge truly embodies the essence of Prague's magic and is an unforgettable experience that will leave you in awe.

One of the oldest but still happening place. It’s very much crowded if you don’t do go very early. You can’t take photos without other people in it just to tell you how busy it is. Nice view from the bridge. Its connected to city center and astronomical clock. In night as well you can get nice view and atmosphere is amazing. Do day and night visit anytime is good.

Very historical bridge in Prague offering beautiful views of both sides of the Vlatva River. It’s a nice stroll but just a bit busy so if you have little ones, be sure to keep them close as I almost lost mine!

Charles Bridge in Prague was a great spot to visit. We visited it on a fine morning and it was pretty crowded by that time. There were musicians and singers performing and painters making quick art. We really liked it.

It's a beautiful bridge that lured us to walk through it twice in our 3 days stay here in Prague. There are many nice statues along the bridge and we enjoy the scenery along the river. It was very pleasant walking along this bridge although there are plenty of tourists along the bridge.

The most famous Monument in Prague! What i came here to see from all the guides i read! It's more than 700 years old, a great piece of art! During the day, i enjoyed the river and castle views of it, during night the scene changed dramatically, seeing fewer things yet with great lights on them. It was really crowded most of the day.

Great views and a variety of statues, very picturesque and buzzing with life! Beautiful!!! An increasing problem with wasps though… Having all the sugar from the traditional sweet delicacy has turned every bin into a wasp treasure. You can also see some tourists running around to avoid them…

The Charles Bridge is absolutely stunning, and it's a perfect spot for taking photos. However, if you plan to visit after 8am, be prepared for huge crowds that can make it difficult to capture good pictures. The bridge's beauty is truly amazing, but timing your visit is important to avoid the heavy crowds. It's definitely a must-see attraction with a bit of crowd strategy.

  • 4/5 Jeremy R. 6 months ago on Google
One of the must-see Prague landmarks with incredible gothic architecture and amazing statues lining the wide, pedestrian-only bridge. Be ready for crowds though as this is a very popular spot. The bridge leads to Prague's beautiful Lesser City with lots of small shops and traders. You can climb the towers and get a great view of the bridge and surround too.

I think most people go to the #ClarlesBridge before anywhere else in #Prague . It used to be the bridge connecting the 2 sides and one of the primary bridges. Now no vehicles are allowed. Only people by foot. However the vibe of the place is amazing ! You can see the amazing Prague Castle from here.

Charles Bridge in Prague is an architectural masterpiece that embodies the beauty and history of the city. Its statues, Gothic design, and the panoramic view of the Vltava River make it an unforgettable experience for visitors. It's a must-visit that truly captures the essence of Prague.

Got there early morning and finally left the car in the blue line area quickly. Streets around was confusing with Trams and other cross lines. However, bridge located on the wide river that different parts of city were visible. Many religious statues along the bridge which made it unique. Nice scenery for memorial photos.

  • 5/5 Hanka J. 6 months ago on Google
Loved exploring the Charles bridge. It has go nice views on the Vltava river and parts of Prague. There are street merchants all along the bridge selling different things such as drawn portraits, souvenirs and some even making music. When we went there it was around 8pm on Saturday and still living and very busy. It’s also just a short walk from the city centre which is great as there’s many hotels and places to go to eat in.

A beautiful pedestrian bridge that deserves it's reputation. Good for sunsets, bad for midnight as the lights go off, best for mornings before the crowds gather. And there's almost always a crowd. A bit too expensive a visit to the towers in my views but I understand - there's enough people to pay the price, so why not. The view is worth it I guess. The short movie you can see in the basement is totally not worth it and a waste of time, unless you're there with kids.

A wonderful historical bridge that you'll find absolutely thronging with people all day. If you want to see it a little quieter, go late in the evening or early in the morning. There are many interesting historical statues along the bridge. Pictures are available at Picfair. com under my name.

Charles Bridge is timeless and elegant and has so much history attached to it. It is iconic and special. To walk over the bridge and see and feel everything about it is amazing. It is romantic both in summer and winter. There are lots of little stalls selling jewellery, photos and artists drawing portraits. There is always some sort of music going on too. It can be very very busy, especially on a weekend, but never any trouble or anything like that. It is a place that you would never get tired of visiting.

  • 4/5 Rina G. 6 months ago on Google
Stunning iconic historical bridge. Best to visit before 8am in the morning for a peaceful walk before the tourist crowds. Some of the statues need upkeep and cleaning but are very beautiful. Ensure to put rubbish in the bins to avoid potential river pollution. Respect the native wildlife along the river banks such as the Eurasian Beavers and many ducks and aquatic animals. 🙏🩷🌿 Note: INXS filmed the video for their classic song "Never Tear us Apart" at Charles Bridge and other locations nearby.

Beautiful place. If you want photos without crowds , visit early in the morning. We went during afternoon hours , the weather was clear..hence the photos came amazing. There is an old ice cream shop at the end of the bridge. Enjoy an ice cream cone while walking the bridge.

Very crowded at anytime of the day. Should visit there early in the morning. No matter the weather or what time you visit, expect lots of group tourists. It would be much better if you look up what to check on the bridge or history and meaning of each statue and stuff in advance. It would be much more enjoyable.

The view from these bridge are awesome 🤩 I have only problem with the street lights. They are not so well places and not add beauty to the bridge. You can feel the fresh air and see both the sides of the city. There are many old structures and good shops where you can enjoy shopping

  • 5/5 Peter A. 5 months ago on Google
The place where something interesting is always happening. Not to mention the vista... Beautifully built & has fantastic statues / figures both side. Avoid the rush hours - early morning is fine for "intimacy" and pondering ...

Iconic Prague bridge with deep historical meaning. A must-see while in Prague - it’s only a short walk from most other attractions. Recommend going early morning or late evening if you’re trying to beat the crowds.

Absolutely stunning. The bridge is laid with beautiful statues and a beautiful view of the Prague Castle. You can see various street artist on the bridge. One of the must visit places in Prague.

This bridge is definitely worth a visit. The bridge is only for pedestrians and the bridge connects 2 exciting districts to each other. If you visit Prague, this bridge is a must-see. Here is beautiful architecture, well maintained and clean. There are many street vendors who sell exciting things, but they only accept cash. 5 stars from me. ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

Probably the most known place in Prague. Each statue has a story. Beauty from any angle. On the bridge there are several stands for souvenir or handmade products. The down side is way too many tourists and pockets pickers. Stay alert when you have fun.

One of the oldest and original stone bridge in the world. Just beautiful and historic. The construction started on 9 July 1357 at 5:31am as Charles the IV believed in numerology (1357-97-531). It survived World War II also.

Prague's charm is further accentuated by the Charles Bridge especially when you walk from the old town towards the lesser town (on your way to the Prague castle on the other bank of the Vltava). If you're a morning bird, then you'll have one of the best times experiencing the views, the calm and soak it all in before it's completely crowded. Sunrise is from the "old town" side, so to have the best position, start from the lesser town (Malostranská) towards the old town. And night owls get a bonus seeing the entire castle hill with its illuminated churches, palaces and cathedral.

A must see when visiting the city! Beautiful statues with a colorful history. Beautiful views. Careful for pick-pocketing and it is a VERY busy place, but worth it! Get a guided tour to learn about all the statues.

The Charles Bridge in Prague is very beautiful. During Christmas time, there are many visitors, but the view can still be enjoyed. Only pedestrians were around, which was very pleasant. The surrounding city is also very worth seeing. There are cobblestones and a long incline, making it challenging for wheelchair users.

The King Charles Bridge in Prague is truly a mesmerizing sight, especially when experienced at night. As you step onto the bridge, you are immediately transported to a different era, surrounded by the rich history and architectural beauty of Prague. The bridge itself is a masterpiece, with its Gothic towers and intricate statues lining the sides. Walking along the cobblestone path, you can’t help but feel a sense of awe and wonder. The views from the bridge are simply breathtaking, with the Vltava River flowing beneath and the city illuminated in a soft, golden glow. At night, the bridge takes on a whole new level of enchantment. The warm lights that illuminate the statues and the towers create a magical atmosphere. As you stroll along, you can admire the stunning reflections of the lights on the water, creating a picture-perfect scene. One of the highlights of visiting the King Charles Bridge at night is the opportunity to witness the city’s skyline. The Prague Castle, perched on top of the hill, is illuminated and stands majestically in the distance. It’s a sight that will leave you in awe and make you appreciate the beauty of Prague even more. In addition to the visual spectacle, the bridge also offers a unique experience for art enthusiasts. The statues that line the bridge are not just decorative, but each has its own story and significance. Taking the time to admire and learn about these statues adds a layer of depth to the visit, making it more than just a walk across a bridge. Overall, visiting the King Charles Bridge at night is an unforgettable experience. The combination of its historical significance, architectural beauty, and the magical atmosphere created by the lights make it a must-see attraction in Prague. Whether you’re a history buff, an art lover, or simply someone who appreciates the beauty of a city, this bridge will captivate your heart and leave you with memories to cherish for a lifetime.

Nice historical spot to visit when in Prague. Avoid regular day times when it’s completely filled with tourists daily. Arrive 1 hour before sunrise, the bridge will be completely empty, you get the “night view” when all the lights are still on. Hang around and take pictures until sunrise, and enjoy the “day view” with minimum people before the tourists are awake!
