Stumbled across Café Platýz by chance and really glad we did. Homemade lemonade was a little different but definitely quenched your thirst. Pork tenderloin with mushroom sauce looked a little small when it arrived but with the potato gratin it made for a lovely meal. Finished off with a creme brulee with forest fruit which was gorgeous. 10/10 for the food, staff very welcoming and friendly throughout. Atmosphere was very quiet but that was fine as we were looked after.

I was visiting Prague and came around with this hidden gem. This turned out to be an amazing restaurant. Amazing veal schnitzel which comes with some potato salad with a soft and creamy sauce. Other dishes in the menu that I highly recommend are Caesar salad and apple strudel. Area is nice. Parking seems difficult but I don’t know because I didn’t have a car. Family friendly as I visited with my 4 year old son and 7 year old daughter and they loved it. No WiFi here but ambiance is great and I don’t think is needed.

Absolutely lovely place! We came here for dinner and both time it was a brilliant experience - the food was to a very high standard, filling and very reasonably priced. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly and answered any questions we had. The Café also had a lovely atmosphere, very pretty interior with candles and a Christmas Tree. Very easy to make a reservation on their website too! We walked here twice in the snow and rain for over 20 minutes just to visit (that’s how much we liked it) and would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone visiting Prague and looking for somewhere to either eat or go for drinks! 10/10

Their beef broth is delightful - you can choose to have it with meat and noodles or liver dumplings, or even try both if you want! They serve a nice small selection of cakes as well - of which the honey cake is my favourite. The location of the cafe is very convenient for tourists and I would definitely recommend you to come as a midway stop between attractions.

We made a reservation on a thursday and to our surprise, it was completely full. The restaurants surrounding this one weren’t and we found out why. I ordered pork and it was absolutely delicious and very soft. The tuna was flavourful and cooked right wich wasn’t the case at another restaurant. The homemade tagliatelle was just mouth-watering. But the homemade dessert topped it all. The blueberry pie absolutely amazed me. I have never ate such a flavourful exquisite pie like this.

Really glad to have come across this spot while in Prague. We were lucky it was close to our accommodation and tried pretty much everything on the menu, from breakfast, cakes, and dinner during our holiday....all were delicious and very affordable. I was cold and hungry and was given a nice coffee and a delicious fish curry which warmed me up very nicely.
