TYPIKA Svatoslavova: A study in disappointment Brace yourselves, Nusle – TYPIKA isn't playing the brunch game right. Hey Nusle, there's a new spot in town – TYPIKA Svatoslavova. You'd think it’s a brunch paradise, right? Well, hold your horses, because this place is a masterclass in missed opportunities. The opening act: A prelude to confusion Here's the deal: they open at 9:00 AM, but brunch? That's a 9:30 AM story. What's up with that? You come in for a cozy morning meal, and what do you get? A waiting game. Beverage first, brunch second… the gap? Easy: like an hour. The meal act: A cold encounter Imagine this: a cold egg straight from the fridge plopped next to warm beans. Bread that feels like it's been chilling out in the cold too long. And the interior? Nice, sure, but it doesn't save the day. And the prices – oh, the prices. They're like a punchline without a joke. The food's okay, but at those rates, I'm expecting fireworks, not a sparkler. The middle-game act: The good, The Bad, and The Ugly Let's talk about what worked. The mimosa – a saving grace. Creative, delicious, it's what you want when you think of brunch. The Georgian tea? A nice touch, structure, the depth fitting the vibe. But then, there's the food. Pancakes were the solo success story – fluffy, tasty, with a hint of ‘chef’s magic.’ But the beans? A culinary catastrophe. A hodgepodge that can't decide if it's breakfast or a last-minute fridge raid. Service & ambiance act: Not quite hitting the mark The place buzzes like a beehive, but that's part of the problem. No room for coats, leading to a clumsy dance of dodging garments. Service? They're trying, but it's like they're juggling too many balls and dropping most of them. And the big wait for food – it’s like watching paint dry or ČD departments singht, but less exciting. The end–game act: Think twice before brunching here (yep) So, Nusle, if you're thinking about hitting up TYPIKA for brunch, maybe think again. It's a place of unfulfilled potential – like a symphony without a conductor. Great for a drink, but for an overal visit? You might want to explore other avenues. Give it another chance? Well, maybe in a next year or two.

Beautiful coffee full of plants and a very nice, calm vibe. The staff is really good, bringing water all the time and super friendly. The place itself is very nicely decorated and the food is amazing. More than recommended.

The staff were very friendly. She also explained desserts. Chocolate cake and avocado toast were great! We could also order drinks with ice. :)

I know the same coffee spot from Vršovice, so I came for a good cup of coffee. I was very happy to buy a great one. It took a little more time than I am used to wait, but the latte art was nice. The staff super nice. The room is modern, unique and clean. I like it!

The space is furnished with a beautiful minimalist design. Downtempo Jazzy music in the background enhances the chilled vibes. The Cappuccino was great, and even my basic banana-walnut cake tasted like heaven. I’m not even talking about the other cakes that look stellar. The service, though, is the best highlight of this place. Nice, chilled and attentive, e.g.: the guy came over 3x without me even asking to refill my cup of water while reading my book. Not only that, but he did that with a smile on his face. That’s a next-level experience, in my opinion. Kudos to TYPIKA team; you made my day! I’ll definitely come back again 😎☕️

The best breakfast I ever had!:) Very nice cafe with lots of plants and a great atmosphere. We ordered omelette and scrambled egg with bread which tasted amazing and we only paid 20€, coffee included. The staff was very friendly!! Would recommend this 100%!

I love, that there is seasonal menu, so you can always try new things. We were there this weekend and we tried two dishes and both are delicious! Very good mix of ingredients, it doesn't feel heavy but you are full:) Interior, coffee, cakes, everything great. Staff also nice, possible to do reservations, possible to pay by card. Only down we had was im the winter when we tried sweet dumplings and it was very dry... but maybe that's just about each personal prefrences.

Tasty and natural/ less sugarized dessert and fresh unique lemonade. Always busy, but always have a seat for everyone.

Amazing service, beautiful decor, peaceful atmosphere of a great cafe. We sat there, drank coffee and had a sweet snack. I had Míša desert and it just took me back to my childhood. Loved it so much and their coffee was not too bitter- just perfect! I recommend it. It's a great place for meetings, or just sitting and working on your laptop/ writing papers, studying or knitting :) The best part though: every customer gets a glass and the barista comes every now and then to fill you up with water- for free.

One of the best places to have a coffee & take a quick F2F meeting in Prague away from the busy centre. The staff is super friendly & helpful. They are always patient when I order in Czech. They use good quality oat milk & haven't changed to cheap brands like other well-known cafés here. Their range of cakes & Pastries is excellent. Love this place ❤️

Excellent service and very good coffee/ drinks. First time I came in I was welcomed instantly event though they were quite busy. I ordered an iced coffee which was very good but I definitely recommend the warm coffee too! They have brunch options and nice original drinks. They have pastries and snacks that looked delicious and homemade. They came to my table to give me my coffee and some water. They were always checking if I needed something and refilling my water. Very sweet service and awesome place. If you are looking for a coffee shop you can definitely visit this one.

I'm so happy I found this place. Best brunch I had this year, and also ranks very high in Prague. To drink, I had a Pear/Chili lemonade, very tasty; and a filtered coffee which was nicely done. Those roasted carrots were amazing. Lots of textures and different flavors that belonged together. Perfect choice! Omelette was also very good.

One of the best brunches we’ve had in a while. And the coffee! Fortunately was able to get a V60 drip and it was excellent. For something different but incredibly tasty, would highly recommend.

Smaller than I expected, completely packed on Saturday morning, some tables were even reserved, something to keep in mind. Place was very noisy, with music playing on top of everyone talking and dog barking loudly. Food was good, though a little pricy. There was cold water served for free with refills, which I liked. Cakes were tasty, the tea not so much, it was served lukewarm.

Nice, sweet coffee. With great food and water for free! Love it! Carrying lovely staff! If they would have decaf, then it would be my favorite place ever haha. They also have amazing vegan banana bread. ☕️ 🥧

🥞 food & beverages: as expected. we had Bramborové šišky with blueberry sauce and scream, and Japanese Yuzu Kukicha tea. 🧑‍🍳 Service: all staff are nice and friendly, but the food is slow to serve. we waited almost an hour. ⛳️ Location and place: close to tram station: nám. Bratří Synků. The interior design is quite cute and cozy, (also crowded during brunch time). 💰 Price: normal brunch price in Prague, 300-350 CZK per person.

Pet friendly coffee shop. The price is a bit higher than the other places that I have been to. The coffee was average to me, expected quality for such a coffee shop. They also offered several types of bakery and pastries. Love the interior decor of the place

Very impressed with Typika, the food is amazing, coffee is great, staff are friendly and interior is really cute! Great for a brunch date. I’ve tried the hazelnut pear french toast and apple spelt pancakes and highly recommend both. The pancakes were some of the best I’ve ever had anywhere.

Amazing artisan coffee, great selection of soft drinks. And really interesting brunch menu. I had a french toast with pears and hazelnuts and the portion was huuuuuuuuge. The atmosphere and design (scandinavian?) of the place was really relaxing. Recommended if you are in this area.

This is definitely one of my favourite brunch spots in Prague. Today we came without a reservation (on Saturday) and the staff were super nice and took extra effort in finding us a place to sit. I had the french toast, chai latte and lemonade and it was absolutely amazing.

This is a great place for coffee or brunch. In the weekend brunch is served between 10am-15.00pm, with prices for food between 125-200kc. The atmosphere is nice for both working and meeting with friends and the service is good, with English speaking staff. I would definitely recommend you to visit it and give it a try! This is a perfect stop for grabbing coffee and enjoying it on the go as well. Or buying farmers eggs and making your own tasty recipes 😃

Dear Typika, I lost my purse, seems like I forgot it at your place. Black small purse with my docs in it. Will wait for your reply! Best, Anna

It is a bit pricey (relatively speaking) but the food is really great, the dishes are large and the staff is exceptionally nice. Place itself is also quite pretty. We ended up eating the breakfast there twice

Good drinks, food, and vibes. - my only note would be that I would prefer a stronger chai latte.

It has the best creamy, fatty coffee taste. Also, interesting cake selection awaits the customers. Not so traditional Czech sweets, but more international and even German inspired cakes and sweets. 5 stars to the BONE!

Nice place, but your nitro cold brew is not a real nitro, but rather just a cold brew with foam on top. Disappointing. Edit: I appreciate your answer but I disagree as well. It's apparent that your machine is not a standard cold brew and anyone who googled "nitro cold brew" at least once would know that. There should be a really strong foam dissolving into the drink, exactly like in Guiness. Unfortunately, your coffee is nothing like it. If it's a nitro cold brew indeed, then it's a very poor and non-standard implementation, to put it mildly.

Nice coffee shop, tasty cakes, interesting cutlery and green interior and ambient. Also serving brunch. If you are in the hood, definitely worth visiting.

Maybe the best brunch I‘ve ever had. Compared to Germany the pricing is very fair.

One of the best brunch places in Nusle. Oftentimes it gets crowded so definitely do reservation if you plan brunch or breakfast but sometimes you might get lucky even withou it. Slightly more expensive than regular breakfast places but definitely worth every penny. Great coffee and really friendly staff. You can also get beer in can or prosecco with your breakfast if you prefer it over coffee.

Very cozy coffee! The food and staff was really nice. The environment is also good for working (if you don't have meetings) with a stable wifi for free. The prices are not so cheap but fair for what you get.

Very tasty brunch. Hand filter coffee is awesome. It would be perfect if they can provide multiple choices on the coffee bean for hand filter.

I guess its shrinkflation time. I was getting my morning summer cold brew from Typika and regardless the high price (82kc) it was worth it as it was quality coffee and the size was big comparing to other places. The photos are 1 week from each other and now Typika sells the 1/3 of the size of the cold brew for the exact same price. That's simply unacceptable.

Both coffee, tee and pancakes were amazing. Cosy interior and relaxing atmosphere.

👍👍 The selection of unique flavors can tell from the start that you are in the right place. They choose an excellent name to describe their product. My large cup had a deep dark cherry chocolate, an apricot, and a lavender-blueberry scoop. The artisan ice-cream here is served by awesome staff that kind...
