Such a pleasant experience. I unfortunately and currently don't know any other language than English but was able to communicate well with the lovely woman who served my food. I loved the atmosphere and decor of the place instantly, it felt warm and inviting and the next time I'm in Prague I'll be going straight there for another slice of cake.

The prizes are really fair. The food lovely. Can't argue with anyrhing. Nice kind of living room in the back. Comfortable seats and pictures from the golden 20s. Also the music is from that time and even in czech. Keep doing that great job, guys.

Beautiful, classy place for breakfast. Great vibe and service. Portions are big, coffee is really good. Prices on website need to be updated though.

If you like travelling in time, come to Šlágr. Beautiful cafe with an atmosphere of Prague 100 years ago. The selection of food is not great, so don't expect any hipster trends here. But I guess that goes hand in hand with the theme. Cakes are good, and above all HUGE.

There are many gluten free options! I'm coeliac and I tried the Harlequin cake and it was delicious. The atmosphere is very picturesque, with lovely music playing - like travelling back in time.

Very nice place for breakfast/brunch, and a great selection of cakes too. My visit was only slightly spoiled when we were wanting to order a piece of cake to-go from the Czech-speaking waitress, who after hearing my non-native Czech just went ahead and served a local who was standing next to me instead. I guess there's still a bit of work to be done on her customer service skills.

I had the breakfast which was amazing. The eggs, sausage, and carrot cake were a very memorable delight. The host was also really kind and ensured I was taken care of.

If you're seeking an unforgettable breakfast experience in Prague that transports you back to the glamour of the 1920s, look no further! This establishment not only offers exceptional cuisine but also provides top-notch service.

Great place for traditional Czech pastries. I wouldn't really recommend the place to somebody that likes really sweet pastries, though. Theirs just are not quite hitting the spot in terms of the sweetness. Coffee is OK but nothing special. Not a fan of their omelets.

I tried several different types of their sweets. Some of them was good (but, not special). I didn't like their carrot cake at all even if I am a carrot cake fan. Also their special dessert which was like chocolate ball was very bad taste for me.

Good amount for a fair price. Tasty 50's vibes, nice service, interesting seating's (comfortable to sit, uncomfortable to eat) Regular good coffee

They serve Turkish coffee with džezva. You can have with cardamom (spice) it makes coffee heavier. You can have breakfast here. Lots of different desert, cake options. Cafe is well decorated too.

A pretty much perfect patisserie / cafe with a very nice 1920s vibe. The cakes are amazing and the portions are quite large, so I highly recommend to come in hungry (alternatively they can pack it up for you to take away)!

Very nice place with interesting history. Coffee and cakes were big and tasty. Good service, beautiful interior. I really loved this place ❤️

The place has a very cozy "good old times" vibe. Walls are covered with witty signs from various places. The staff is very polite, even dressed a bit like in the 1920s. If you want some good breakfast, coffee, tea or a cake, it's a great option. The cakes they serve are proper sized - and by that I mean huge. Reminder of Prague's Austro-Hungarian / first Czechoslovakian cousine. Big selection of flavours.

Literally one of the best coffee and cake places in Prague and not a tourist like but very local with special service , ambience , warm cozy lovely & somewhat romantic. Bottle of sparkling wine is 330czk/13€ ☺️ Everything is great here, 60th style, not a loud place. Personal is one of the best worldwide. They are caring & lovely people. Often quite busy but upper and really recommend place. Dekuju moooooc🙌

The best place! They're serving so delicious and amazing desserts in Prague! Lots of choice!

It’s a nice place with an atmosphere of 70-80s in CZ. We had omelette with veggies which was like 6 out of 10. It has a lot of cheese hence the breakfast was quite heavy. But the sausage and bacon breakfast was really delicious. For bacon lovers it is a perfect one. I would give it 9 out of 10 just because there was not enough veggies as from my pov. Coffee is not the best though. However I would recommend to try it :)

I love this place, I come here every time I'm in Prague, it's like a time machine that takes you to the 30's or somewhere around that, the environment, the music, everything cooperates help you escape. They have an excellent breakfast menu, with delicious options! Also, don't hesitate to try their cakes, they are amazing!

One of Prague's best cafes and pastry shops, traditional cakes in a traditional atmosphere. The staff and iwner are always welcoming. If you are fond of a traditional and hearthy eggs and bacon breakfast this place is ideal!

Cool atmosphere of prewar Czechoslovakia, Songs from the era quaitly playing. Very big pieces of cake. One is enough for two.

Such a cool place with unique retro vibe and the kindest staff! Also, they have probably the biggest cake portions, I was not able to finish it, yummy! Have their 'párecky', little sausages, very delicious in deed. Last but not least, for being a bistro in a heart of Vinohrady, the prices are very reasonable!

Adorable art-niveau style café. Good food, nice coffee, fair prices and very friendly staff. Ate my breakfast here every morning when I was in Prague.

The best place we have visited in Prague. Tasty breakfasts, big variety of delicious traditional cakes and affordable prices. We'd rate 10 stars if we could.

This is one of the most beautiful cafes I have seen in Prague. Excellent service combined with an awesome selection of deserts and amazing coffee.

This place is such a hidden gem! We stayed at the hostel down the street and walked up to get a coffee and ended up having one of the best meals that we have had. Fun vintage atmosphere all the way from the decor to the music! Highly recommend stopping in.

This place is Incredible. Every item is justifiably priced. They probably have some of the best cakes in Prague and they definitely have an incredible ambiance and decor. It makes you feel like you are somewhere in Europe before the second world war

👍👍 The selection of unique flavors can tell from the start that you are in the right place. They choose an excellent name to describe their product. My large cup had a deep dark cherry chocolate, an apricot, and a lavender-blueberry scoop. The artisan ice-cream here is served by awesome staff that kind...
