This
place
was
on
my
‘recommended
places
to
eat’
list
while
visiting
Prague
for
the
first
time.
With
just
a
few
hours
left
before
leaving,
we
thought
it
would
be
great
place
for
lunch
to
round
off
our
trip.
The
venue
is
spectacular
and
it
seems
very
popular
as
we
had
to
wait
to
find
a
seat.
We
placed
an
order
for
a
beef
sandwich,
some
hummus
and
pitta
(which
seemed
a
bit
over-priced,
but
I
thought
it
might
be
worth
the
extra
expense).
While
we
waited
a
French
couple
joined
us,
just
as
our
coffees
arrived,
which
were
barely
warm.
Twenty
minutes
later
our
food
hadn’t
arrived
and
the
French
couple
were
being
ignored.
Our
food
arrived
after
40
minutes,
and
was
put
in
front
of
the
French
couple
who
had
yet
to
place
any
order.
They
tried
twice
to
get
drinks,
but
gave
up
and
left.
My
hummus
was
utterly
flavourless
and
after
such
a
long
wait,
while
watching
children
run
around
inside
the
kitchen,
coming
out
eating
sandwiches.
Time
was
running
out
but
I
felt
it
necessary
to
complain
as
my
hummus
was
just
an
inedible
slurry
for
which
I
wasn’t
prepared
to
pay
full
price.
The
staff
were
stressed,
apologetic
and
almost
in
tears
when
I
complained.
I
had
asked
to
see
a
manager
and
told
them
I
didn’t
think
they
were
to
blame
for
what
was
ultimately
a
severe
lack
of
management.
I
was
sympathetic
to
their
situation
and
I
felt
they
were
to
ready
too
to
absorb
the
blame
when
it
was
not
their
fault-
an
opinion
I
would
have
loved
to
share
with
the
manager/owner,
has
they
been
available.
If
you
decide
to
visit
this
place
and
receive
poor
service
and
food,
please
complain
and
ask
for
a
discount
(we
were
given
50%
off,
but
will
never
get
our
time
back).
Maybe
the
fall
in
profit
will
get
the
attention
of
the
manager/owner,
although
sadly,
judging
by
how
stressed
the
staff
were,
they
will
probably
blame
the
staff,
rather
than
their
lack
of
management.
There
are
many
good
places
to
eat
in
Prague,
but
this,
at
least
on
this
occasion,
was
not
one
of
them.
This
as
a
shame,
as
I
really
wanted
it
to
be
good.
