The bartender working on October 11, 2023 at 21:30 is a cheater. He tried to charge me more for a drink than it actually costs. I believe it is a great way for him to steal money from the business as they accept cash only for payments under 100czk. When I noticed it and pointed it out, the level of his rudeness was out of this world. Of course, no cheater wouldn't like being caught. I would advise the management to remove this cash only policy as it causes cheating of guests and very unpleasant experience

BAD EXPERIENCE JUST AT THE ENTRANCE: The guys from the entrance (security) were terribly rude, at the point that they ruined the place for me! They were extremely rude from the beginning, they were annoyed because we were deciding if we will get in (they said in their language they wanted to quick us out). After we pay, I was carrying a bag becuase I was just arriving to Prague and they told me that I couldn't get inside with it (which is completely understandable)... the issue started when I complained about a fee that I had to pay for them to save my bag, I requested an explanation because it was absurd for me (they were asking money to save my bag when they were the ones not allowing me to bring it in). The guy just yelled at me "WHAT IS THE PROBLEM with the fee?" and he started to be aggressive because I was not convinced about the fee (he was a huge guy, I am just an average-size woman) ... My husband from behind reclaimed to the guy that he was yelling and that it was not necessary. The guy just pushed me to the side and ran towards him aggressively and yelling super loudly that what was the problem. We tought he was about to hit my husband 😣😖😱 The guy acted like a complete bully and was completely unreasonable. At the end, a customer tried to calm him down and we just decided to not escalate more to issue because we were in group 😔. We didn't left because we had paid already the entrance fee (and they spoke conveniently little English for us to think about requesting our money back) and we were a big group, we didn't want to destroy everyone's night but it was a terrible and shocking situation... The place itself was ok, really small but with nice music! Good for dancing... But I wouldn't recommend it just for the experience at the entrance. It's not worthy enough to just ignore that!

I visited the bar on Wednesday night this week, but I was so disappointed by the rude behavior of the bartender. I found his behavior completely unacceptable and intolerable. It is essential for people working in hospitality to be polite, he was way too far from being at least polite. I believe that it's not that difficult to be a decent human being. I hope the management takes necessary actions to prevent such a terrible experience for customers in the future.

The security staff (bold older guy) is sooooo arrogant that it's unbelievable. I would never came back to this place. You should not have such people in the front door. If I could give a "0" score - I would definitely do.

Absolutely true to its name. The place has a very beautiful vibe, very nice people and amazing staff at the bar. The music is 3/5 but you can absolutely have a fun time. The bar is not touristy and only people who love Latino music and really want to smile and dance come here! And that's what makes this very special, recommended anyday for those who really love Latino music and love dancing, no tourists shoving phones in your faces to shoot your dance video

Great atmosphere though the music they played was only salsa and bachata. I would have liked more reggaeton and other latin music.

Nice place with latin music, but very small. It is one of the most popular latino bars in Prague with salsa and bachata nights. I would recommend to go there during weekdays as weekends are packed and not enough space to dance. During weekends there is entrance fee, don’t remember how much , probably 100 Kc, but you will get a voucher for a free drink. During the weekdays entrance is free, so no free drink. It also has locker in case if a bag needs to be locked or other valuables. The key can be gotten from a bartender for 200kc deposit.

    1. We don’t want Salsa and Reggaeton music on weekends. 2. We don’t want group dance show on weekends. 3. We don’t want announcements during the party on weekends. 4. We don’t feel comfortable from too much staring on people in the club. if you have other agenda go and solve it in Latin America. 5. Air condition must work on cold temperature because we don’t want to sweat for 2 hours in the party. 6. You shouldn’t be staring on people you don’t know every 5 minutes in the club, if you have other agenda, visit the nearest mental hospital . 7. You shouldn’t make comments on people in the club as if they owe you something. If you don’t like something there just go home without disturbing others. 9. If you are ugly old woman you should be quiet. 10. You should hire 3 girls behind the bar to serve drinks.

Nice little place for a quick salsa fix. Ladies be ready to dance plenty of great dancers on the floor. Not a place for the first timers. The area looks abit dangerous at night through. You get a free drink with your entry fee. Beware the guy at the door is a super rude, no customer service at all. But the rest of the staff are fine. Not a must go, but if you have an extra night it's not the worst place to go.

My second home :). If you like cuban or carribean rhytms this place is definitelly for you. For hardcore dancers the best events are during the ordinary week (specially on Monday), when local casineros, timberos, soneros, salseros, bachateros and kizomberos are on the floor. Weekend events are more focused on the tourists, so more reagaeton and pop song are played specially arround midnight.

Great latin music and atmosphere! Very good place to dance salsa and latin dances... Google maps took us to a spot nearby... So we had to find the exact location by ourselves....

Bar is amazing, drinks and bartenders are totally professional. I used to go there but today it was the last. Security guy is definitely rude and antipathetic as hell. I’ve lost my number at the dance floor for my coat and stuffs and he told me that he couldn’t give my coat back until the place is closed and its not their problem. I AM THE CUSTOMER. Your job is to ease my job not make it harder. Worst experience ever. Never ever go because of him.

Lovely music which animates for dancing. With many couples practicing their dance skills but also singles that are available for dancing. Small entrance fee which includes a free drink.

Not knowing the local language made me a little apprehensive but there were no issues. Great music and a place to watch people. Some very good dancers. Easy to get to by Uber.

I was here on Monday. Very good salsa music, I really liked it. 4-5 Cuban-Salsa, 3-4 Bachata and 1-2 Kizomba. There was enough place to dance. A little bit more guys than girs. 2 days later I was there on Wednesday. Much less people and line-Salsa. Much more men than women...

Great salsa club. We went on Friday and because we read the reviews ahead, we knew the entrance was 200kr and cloakroom 30kr for each piece of item. Music was fantastic, just the right amount of people, good atmosphere but not packed. Lovely decor and was air-conditioned.

so disappointed from that club, i saw in Facebook that they play Salsa, Bachat, Kizomba and Merengue, 90% was Salsa and one song only all the night of Kizomba the dj plays Bachata like 2 Times in one hour ... i think it will be great to play e songs of 4 songs each music style.

Mby it deserves better score. But I did just one visit so far. If you can dance and you have a partner, this is very nice place for you. Looks like pairs has been set mostly. Nice interior.

Amazing vibe there. Surprised to find such a place all the way in Prague. It is however very small, and on weekends its packed with real hardcore Salsa heads, who are looking strictly for dancing. Sort of like the New York Copacabana back in 90s. If thats your thing, great. But if you were looking for a more contemporary and inclusive crowd, it wont be for you.

It was ok. The place was nice but there were few people.

We always enjoy a good evening at La Macumba! Very nice Cuban atmosphere, drinks, and good latino music. We love to go there for Bachata and Salsa evenings mostly during the week :) 100% recommended!

Best place to dance Latin music in Prague, but two things to be aware, they will take you drink away while you are dancing so you buy a new one and they never had paper to dry the hands in the toilet :)

The guy at the door was rude. A younger guy at the coat check was excellent and he explained in a friendly way the cover charge fee. The bartenders are super nice and their attentiveness to customers is excellent. The music 🎶 is mainly from the 90s, with very few in between new songs. The space is very small but tonight’s crowd was lively. Overall this place is Ooook! I will not consider it a true Latin Bar.

There not so many places in Prague where you really can feel the hot of the Latino Musik. La Macumba belongs to the top 5... wait there is actually not that much that you can count on it. You will not believe that even the Monday is one of the best days to go there. Let you be inspire from the rhythm of salsa, bachata and the not so Latin but trendy kizomba. Rey the barman, Mario the Dj and Mandy the Boss will trait you as king of the dance floor. ENJOY...

Most cozy place in Prague for a night out to dance Salsa and Bachata. There are also great lessons happening there. If you are a dancer you should try it. The club is after a corridor and some stairs.

An awful body shaming experience for my wife. Guys abusing women. Definitely not a safe place if you are a woman.

👍👍 For me, the best place to eat in Prague. Not only drinks, but also foods arrive at your table on trains. On some tables, trains return to even take empty plates! On top of that - the food is delicious, same goes for drink. The staff is very kind and polite. I definitely recommend this place.
