Amazing multiciltural museum with parties and comunities celebrating their heritage on some evenings. The exhibitions are usually beautiful, and "exotic".

The museum was spread across three floors. The first floor dedicated to honouring Czech women in the days before universal suffrage and female emancipation. The second floor was focused on Egyptology and had fine exhibits including a large collection of mummified animals, although the star of this second was probably the two coffins, one of which mummified remains of a man. There was a lot of English for these two exhibitions. The third floor was on native Australasian artefacts with stunningly good exhibits on some with separate display cases for different pacific islands, although there was little English. Sadly a bit far from the main tourist circuit and it was very quiet on the day I visited. Overall, it’s worth visiting if you have an interest in archaeology or anthropology. The exhibits are of a high quality and in the main, plenty of English to keep you interested. It was only the Australasian section that had no English.

I am particularly fascinated by their exhibition on the "Faces of War". As an African, it is beautiful to know that in the heart of Prague you can explore the world of African cultures.

One of the most underdeveloped museums I've ever seen Two stars for potential and exhibits, you should get zero for curation and organization

It's okay. Ground floor about Czech woman is interesting exhibit. The other two floors not so great. Nice outside space with some interesting displays but on the whole dont stress to include it on your must do's.

Two out of four floors were closed due to renovation works. Most of the texts were not available in English. No air conditioning, especially the top floor was way too hot. No cloak room to leave your bags. If you don't have the 9 musea ticket, I wouldn't go there.

This is a small museum in what appears to be a three story house tucked away on the edge of the old city. I got caught in the rain without an umbrella and just found this museum when I was looking for some shelter. The artefacts were primarily collected in the 18th century. The layout of the exhibits and the documentation certainly seem to reflect 19th or early 20th century views.

I wish they changed their Australia & Oceania exhibit. They have so many interesting objects, but they're crammed in glass boxes where you can't appreciate then properly and sadly information is only in Czech. But overall decent experience.

Really interesting items. Unfortunately, most of the explanations are in Czech only. The exhibition on the ground floor is really clever organized.

Small museum oriented on the era of the second half of the 19th century full of discoveries for instance in Asia, India or Africa. Not for ,,mainstream tourists,, but rather for tourists who really want to dive in very specific topics of the Czech history including two great Czechs - Emil Holub and Vojta Náprstek.

A small cute museum, everybody was very nice and helpful. There are 3 floors with the exhibitions - around the world in 80 days, the faces of war and the last one the culture of Australia and Oceania. It takes about one hour and something to finish. Recommend for kids too.

Outdated museum experience, loads of random facts with a couple of mumies and Russian clothings next to it. Zero effort paid to make it look good or be educational. Some only in Czech. Very nice staff.

(Translated by Google) It is unbelievable what Adalbert Fingerhut, with the assistance of Czech travelers and artists, was able to gather. There is a comprehensive insight into African, Asian and American cultures. It is necessary to set aside quite a lot of time for the tour. Sale of souvenirs, Refreshments in the adjacent cafe in the courtyard of the museum. Visit as part of the event Up to 9 museums in 5 days for a ridiculous entrance fee of CZK 100. (Original) Je až neskutečné co dokázal Adalbert Fingerhut za asistence českých cestovatelů i umělců, shromáždit. Je zde ucelený náhled do afrických, asijských i amerických kultur. Na prohlídku nutno vyčlenit poměrně dost času. Prodej suvenýrů, Občerstvení v přilehlé kavárně v nádvoří muzea. Návštěva v rámci akce Do 9 muzeí v 5 dnech za směšné vstupné 100,- Kč.

The courtyards are fine for the Dia de los Muertos events that takes place there once a year (end of Oct). It's a bit of a "commercial celebration" (mostly food and drinks plus face painting) but it's a change from the every day routine of Prague.

Tourists, this museum is worth your time. It isn't huge but there is a lot to see for this price (adult 120 CZK, discount 80 CZK). Four floors on various topics, items from different cultures. Also fun for school-age children. Three floors have all texts in Czech and English, the fourth one is only in Czech. All the employees are elderly Czech ladies but you will manage basic communication. We read most texts and spent nearly 2 hours here

(Translated by Google) Weakness, as a little boy, I really wanted to see the Indians and there was exceptionally none that could be exchanged for the natives of Australia, the rest of the terror rage, poor Siberia, the light to read the label lousy, just one of the biggest disappointments in Prague museums.

(Translated by Google) Nice, but it would like to liven it up a bit. Few exhibits that are in the old eruptions, which are difficult to see. And think more about children and juniors, because such a concept is not very fun.

A smaller museum, but the collection of Egyptology is impressive. Some of the exhibits are a bit old-school in nature. Plan sixty minutes to ninety minutes. Free with Prague Card as of Fall 2019.

(Translated by Google) I go here with my little daughter, for whom the exhibits are new, interesting. For me, as an adult, it's a strange panopticon. Very few exhibits overall. Given that we have an Egyptological team, the collection could be much larger and definitely more elaborate. After all, there is so much that can be presented from ancient Egypt. The Australian and Oceania Culture exhibits look like a larger collection of travel souvenirs. I lived in Australia and I was surprised at how many basic subjects that would belong here were not here at all. Some items have an incorrectly stated purpose of use. Exposures are obsolete. There is no air conditioning or any air exchange in the attic (yes, it can also be built in cultural monuments). Reconstruction of toilets would also be in place. For children, the exhibition Siberia is great. At least one floor made with an idea.

(Translated by Google) Right at the beginning, the saleswoman (elderly lady) erased a disproportionate number of points from the entry voucher by mishandling the computer. Then, right at the beginning of the exhibition, we were told that the exhibition of American Indian cultures, for which we went to the museum, is not taking place, it was last year. The exhibition of Siberia, Asian cultures and island indigenous tribes was quite interesting. But it would take a better level of cleaning.

(Translated by Google) I'm disappointed, the exposure is dimly lit, it's hard to see everywhere. The interactive corner for children is mainly for making a mess there and banging the pillows head on. It surprises me a little that there are exhibits in glass windows all around. I do not comment on the protection circling among visitors like vultures.

Serious negligence of the old woman who controls the entrance of the NAPRSTEK museum. Despite the fact that the visit was included with the cool pass, the lady refused us entry. The old lady didn't even know how to use the e-reader and denied us entry with the forms. We tried to talk to another museum worker but she was unable to find out either. He also denied us an official document to make a claim even though we told him in Czech. It is a shame that you cannot enter to visit something that you have previously paid for.
