Interactive, interesting for all ages, and colourful! Great mix of art, photography, and history, all based around the theme of optical illusions. Spent some time here playing around the exhibits and then taking in the views from the top floors. It’s based just off a major tourist square in Prague and directly opposite the Astronomical Clock. You get a great view from the window of the clock striking the hour, and at the top there’s a “tower”! Lots for kids to do and you can read as much or as little as you like (descriptions in Czech and English). Well worth a visit!

We stopped by this museum as it was a nice quick fill of time before supper. I was quite surprised at the number and type of illusions they had. I really enjoyed the perspective illusions, where something seems like a jumbled mess until looking at it from a specific angle. This was done perfectly by having a viewing lens to bring each item into perfect view to create a picture. When you do go, there may be no lineup at the door, but be prepared to stand in several small lines to view a certain piece or capture a picture from the right angle. These are well worth it as some are a real good laugh. If there are a lot of people, some shots will be quite hard to get (on the floor). There is only a small bathroom area on the top floor (kid's area). Give yourself 30-60 minutes here, depending on the number in your group and how busy it is. It is a great time filler. Thanks.

Clever installations and artistic illusions. Lovely, friendly staff. Not a broad or intensive display but interesting and enjoyable. A little overpriced entry fee for the 25 minute experience but rent and wages cost money....

We really enjoyed our visit to the Illusion Art Museum. It's interactive and just so much fun. The exhibits are all really clever and quite amazing! Highly recommend a visit! Some of the photos I've posted have before and after versions.

This museum was really cool! I have to say one of the best aspects of my visit was the lovely young lady who noticed I was alone so helped out by taking quite a few pictures of me with the illusions. It really made my experience so much better ( so thank you very much ) You should definitely visit, it's very good fun and a great price 😊

Really enjoyed this illusion museum and there was more to see than I initially thought. Loved the 3D illusions that come to life on your cell phone camera. A special treat was being greeted by the museum director, who explained more about the exhibitions than first meet the eye. Tip: watch the video on the loft room. Some of the exhibits are explained by the artist that created them. This is also an ideal place to see the town hall clock ring in each hour from the museum Upper windows, whilst everyone else crowds in the square below

We were 2 adults and we had fun!! It's a small museum, it took us one hour and half to finish it in chill, and easy. There are workers there that helping you take the best pictures, and there are spots on the floor that tells you where to stand to get the best photos.

The museum is very interesting and definitely worth visiting. It's not very large, you can see all of it in less than an hour (depends on how much you want to analyze each item). There are some very interesting exhibits and you can take as many photos as you want (the staff even encourage and help you).

  • 4/5 Alex A. 4 years ago on Google
A very interesting experience where exhibits generally focus on perspective and angle to convey the intended illusion. Not too crowded, though the way certain exhibits are laid out might cause issues with other visitors getting in the way. Bring a camera or phone capable of taking photos, as the majority of the exhibits allow for visitor participation and the museum itself encourages taking pictures.

One of the best museums that I've ever visited. A student ticket costs 8€, normal 12. There are two floors of typical illusion elements and two more of elements of illusion and art. It's worth it to see it all and to take some fun pictures, it is permitted. The only thing is the illumination in the room with the broken floor in it, it is hard to take a good picture without shadow. The museum is close to the famous Prague Clock and from the windows of the museum you can take some great photos of it also. I hardly recommend it!

Some pieces of art (unique pieces by artists like Patrik Proško and Patrick Hughes) are interesting but some of them do not deserve much of attention. I have not seen the other 2 museums connected.

(Translated by Google) Definitely worth a visit, already because of the super VIP :-) view of the astronomical clock. It's a bit expensive, but in such a place one has to reckon with. Sometimes it's hard to take a nice photo for other visitors. (Original) Určitě stojí za návštěvu, už kvůli super VIP :-) výhledu na orloj. We visited in early July of 2018. The illusions were really cool and you have the chance to take some really fun photos while you are in there (which my 4 year old nephew loved!). We probably spent about 45 minutes in the museum which was ideal. It was a nice break from the crowds in Old Time Square. The museum is centrally located...right across from the clock. Definitely worth a visit. Bring your camera for fun Instagram pictures!

Worth every penny. The illusion art is so fascinating. It was not so crowded on Sunday. Nice chance to take a lot of fun pictures if you’re visiting with friends or family (not so fun alone). They’ve clear descriptions for each art piece and also spots are marked from where you can take a picture. Staff was very nice.

This was a bit of a random find for us, totally unplanned visit, but we loved it! Perhaps a tiny bit expensive for the size so may not be for you if you're on a budget as we did get around it fairly quickly. However, we really enjoyed it all.

A very intersting place. You will find a lot of great and interactive illusions. The museum is not very big, but it worth the money and the time.I recommand not to go alone, becouse there are illusions that you can interact with, and probably you will want photos. You will have a great view to the astronomical watch too. I added some photos, but you have to go to see with your own eyes.

The museum is quite small and the price is quite high for what you get. You should come to a time with low amount of visitors otherwise there are selfie queues in front of the illusions which negatively influence the experience. The illusions itself are cool but not mind-blowing.

My son and I enjoyed the place. It is not just an illusion museum but works of arts that make you think - how did the artist do that? The staff, especially Veronica, were so helpful and guided us and even took photos with perfect angles to capture the illusion.

Very interactive museum and a delightful way to spend your time in Prague with your family or friends. Is not really big but it's big enough to spend approximately an hour there . .

In my opinion, an obligatory stop in Prague is this museum. It's engaging, even the workers invite you to take photos with the various works. They are extremely available and always ready for any questions or doubts. The museum is very welcoming and as soon as you enter you see some works but the most beautiful ones are found at the end. I recommend anyone to go and visit it.

Museum is located opposite to Old Town Square with Astronomical Clock. Entry fee is 250 CZK which is pricy for area which museum covers. There some exhibits which you can take photo with such as 3d paintings on the wall creating pop out effect. Places where to take photo are marked on floor. I enjoy also char exhibit which create effect that person standing on it is small. If museum is crowded be ready to wait for picture on these exhibits. Windows provides a beautiful view of Astronomical Clock. I liked seemly randomly placed objects such as computers which creates picture of famous people such as Tesla from certain point of view. It was fun to visit museum and staff was really friendly and helpful

Had an extra day due to storm Ciara so decided to spend this at the museum. Positives: + Fun experience; + Great helpful staff; + Nice to visit if you have some extra time to fill; + Good they've put spots on the floor on where to stand and where to photograph to see the illusion the best. Negatives: - Quite pricey for the amount of illusions available; - Hard to photograph the illusions if you're visiting yourself.

(Translated by Google) The museum is great, even compared to similar ones abroad. Not only does it show visually illusory effects, but also the work of remarkable domestic artists. Appropriately refers to the Czech environment and personalities. Beautiful ceiling stucco and frescoes of the historic palace and a unique view of the Old Town Hall and its surroundings. I definitely recommend visiting with a camera. Jirka (Original) Muzeum je skvělé, i ve srovnání s podobnými v zahraničí. (Translated by Google) I visited on Saturday and I was thrilled. It's really interesting how the human eye and mind can be fooled. Some illusions were not so special, but for some I just shook my head. I was very surprised at how different it was to watch the installation with my eye and through the camera. Do not miss the view of the Old Town Square and the Astronomical Clock from the museum window. You will get an interesting overview. Finishing in a local cafe was also very nice. Prices higher than usual in the Old Town Square, but the service and taste perfect. In conclusion, I would like to thank the very nice and helpful staff. Závěrem bych chtěl poděkovat velmi milému a ochotnému personálu.

(Translated by Google) The first two floors are a great place for 2+ groups. The third is a bit boring and more of a 3D exhibition than an illusion (but a big plus for a room with light drawing). There is also a great view of the Astronomical Clock from the museum, so I always recommend staying at the windows. The museum includes a souvenir shop, which I would call my 'last exhibit', and also a café with delicious cakes! ☺️ I also recommend the event on dedicated portals, thus avoiding 'tourist' prices. 😉 At 4 * it's not and 3 * are few again ... Something in between, better average. 👍

Experience the unexpected. Discover new worlds at Prague's first interactive museum of illusions and trick art, conveniently located on Old Town Square, directly across from the iconic astronomical clock. IAM Prague’s exhibits bring to life historical techniques of creating illusions in art into the 21st century’s selfie and social media age, with a touch of local flair, and encourages guests to touch and interact with all of its exhibits. This museum is right in the centre of old town exactly opposite to astronomical clock and next to starbucks. First and Second floor are a good experience if you see the pictures from the camera points put in place on the floors, 3rd floor was a let down as i dint find anything out of ordinary there. Staff is very helpful and will even offer to click your pictures if you are a couple of single person. Price for 1 person is 300 CZK, all in all a new experience and you will get loads of cool pictures to show off. Had fun.

This is a very nice museum where you can experience things that will change the way you see perspective. The staff is very helpful and speaks English. They can help you take pictures and they also provide information about the art and Prague in general. Moreover, this is the perfect place to look at the astronomical clock of Prague without being in the crowd. You won't regret it!

I loved this museum. There are a lot of museums in Prague but I'm happy we got to see this one. I think my pictures say it all. This museum is Fun! You can get a subsidized ticket if you combine it with the selfie museum, unfortunately, the selfie museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Bad exhibitions and poorly maintained. Is also quite small and too expensive. We saw all in 40 minutes. The view from the windows to the clock are nice.

Really interesting and well-delivered experience, a lot of fun with friends. Staff were friendly and the exhibits were varied and interesting. Also great views of the astronomical clock. Those with additional mobility needs may not be able to access all parts easily.

We LOVED visiting this place. They tell you to take a ton of pictures and we did. The illusions really pop when you are using your camera. Just go - you'll enjoy it.

Very good museum to visit while you are in Prague. Suitable for children and the whole family. You get there in each part a nice guide from the museum who explains how things are working and about the history of those elements that they show there. Very nice experience. There is a cafe as well. Museum is located in the center, easy to reach. Check for special rates online or buy tickets on spot.

So glad we went to the Illusion Art museum as it was so fun, amusing, interactive and so much wow! Get your phones ready to explore and take mind boggling photos. It's set over 3 or 4 floors but there is a lift for those who can't use stairs. If you are there on the hour you can watch the famous clock do its thing from the second floor and get a good spot watching the clock. Toilets are located on each of the floors and a cafe is situated at the ground floor. entry for family of 4 was approx 200czk. Well worth the visit with young children and adults too of course!

Great place to spend the afternoon. I had fun during the visit and you can take photos as many as you want. It’s interactive and playful. I found the price a bit expensive.

A very interesting and pleasant experience. If you want to be amazed by how easily your brain can be tricked this is the right place😅 Some scupltures are absolutely amazing and others are just a print on a canvas. Not so special but still interesting to see. You won't regret it

Small exhibition of modern art illusion. Nice and cool but small for the fee they require. Interactive exponate and recycled materials compositions. We wanted to take a peak while waiting in line for the tickets but the girl from the entrance stoped us not in a very polite manner. It's nice to visit and took us no more than 15-20 minutes even if it was pretty crowded. You are allowed to take pictures and they mark on the floor the perfect spot for the maximum illusion effect.

This was a great place to visit while in Prague, and with interactive exhibits it's great for all ages. Make sure you have your camera ready, as a lot of the exhibits are based around being able to take your own illusion photos. It was great to walk around; we actually went around twice as we enjoyed it so much. The staff are on hand to help you take any pictures and are also very knowledgeable about the exhibits on display. It was fairly busy when we visited, so you may have to wait a short time before you can access each exhibit to take your own photo. All the exhibits were really good, with a huge amount of skill and artistic interpretation on show. If you like this sort of art, or you are looking for some great photo opportunities, then this is a must see during your time in Prague!

This place is truly mind-blowing, we were unsure whether to visit (even though a friend had recommended us to), how glad we were. At first we thought the entry price was a bit expensive, but after the visit would quite happily pay again. Art and illusions are tremendous, staff most helpful and will kindly take photos for you so you can be a part of tne illusions, all in all an absolute must see when visiting Prague 👌

Awesome!! Loved everything this museum had to offer. The owners were even there, repairing something, and took time to talk to us and interact. We live in Thailand, so one of the owners was showing us his work around our area. Very cool!

Fun museum with cool illusions and funny photo opportunities. The museum is not hat big so it's not a whole day activity. Nice little activity to fill a gap in your day. The staff is happy to help you understand the illusions and give you tips how to make the best pictures. They do have a student discount!

Big or small? Happy or small? Portrait or a big bunch of shoes? Illusion Art Museum Prague has it all - including augmented reality (AR) and 3D. Funny and highly recommended. A special thanks to Matej Hezina who guided us and also helped us with taking pictures 🙏🏻

It's not a big museum, but a fun experience. Its amazing how the artists have used simple products to create these peices. Worth the money overall. Location is perfect too.

Amazing exhibitions covering a wide variety of illusions. Amazing photos can be taken here and it’s incredible to see how some of this artwork is made. I’d recommend coming here 1-2 hours before it closes as it’s quieter and the staff are more than happy to follow you round explaining each of the illusions and taking photos for you so that you can really see the illusions in their best light. Amazing display and even better staff. Can’t recommend enough!

  • 4/5 Helen G. 8 months ago on Google
We came here to get out the heat today. Lovely experience, my little girl loved it. I thought the ticket price was quite high given that there are not actually that many exhibits and of course, when it gets busy it's hard to take photos which is the whole point as there are just people everywhere and it can spoil the illusion. I think we were in and out in under an hour.

  • 5/5 Stefano C. 8 months ago on Google
Fun and interesting place to visit. Some illusions are astonishing, the videos about the authors of some of the exhibits are very interesting and the staff is friendly, and ready to help and take pictures of you. Recommended!

It's not very big and get easily crowded as everyone wants to take photos. An interesting place to visit if you haven't been to this type of place before.

  • 5/5 Emily M. 6 months ago on Google
This museum is so much fun! It’s very small and if not super crowded you can get through in just under an hour. Our flight was delayed so we had time to stop by and it was well worth it. The collection of artists at the museum specialized in different types of illusions. Each was very interesting! I appreciated the variety. I found myself wishing there were more at the end, and would wholeheartedly support a larger space for more works.

This museum was short and fun. I do recommend coming with a least two people. All the staff were friendly but special thanks to Veronica for explaining the various artwork to me. She really did make the experience better.

This is a great date idea. There was so much to look at and interact with. The staff there were very friendly and helpful. They helped us take some pictures since it was only my husband and I. My favorite part was the 3D section. Would definitely come back again with some friends
