This museum is dedicated to Anton Dvorak, the great Czech composer known for employing aspects of Czech folk music of Bohemia and Moravia into his compositions. The museum is on two floors. The lower floor mainly documents his life, while the upper floor does the same, but is mostly taken up with presentation of his music and operas. There's a listening post that plays many of his most famous compositions such as Symphony No. 9, the Czech Suite, plus much more that I wasn't familiar with. The museum is great for fans and interesting even for non dedicated, but interested in classical music types.

(Translated by Google) Honorary Doctor of Cambridge University (this title was awarded as a sign of special merit in music world) deserved that visitors come here and recognize the environment in which he lived and created the great Czech composer ... Branch building The Prague Museum of Music, in the Baroque style and built at the end of the 19th century, is also interesting in itself to myself. The building is also called "Villa America." Here you can, to see firsthand the atmosphere of that era (looking at his trips around the world), in which the founder "worked" national symphony. And here, chamber music sounds, in a virtuoso performance.

(Translated by Google) The Summer House, more precisely Michna's Summer House or the House of Dwarves, was the first building designed by Kilián Ignác Dienzenhofer in Prague. It was built in the years 1716 - 1721 for Jan Václav Count Michna of Vacínov. A. Dvořák Museum has been here since 1932.

One of my favourite musician. There is one room there providing auditorium experiences too. They sell sheet music of Dvořák‘s but you have to pay Czech crown (I totally forgot about it and only had Euros on me, and this museum for some reason didn’t take cards). I also wish they sell other merchandise like busts & etc (like Bach house and Beethoven house). Plan your visit accordingly- the museum closes quite early and it takes ages to get a Uber because of its remote location.

It's a great little museum dedicated to one of the greatest composers of the 19th century It was an honor for me to be able to see the exhibits like Dvoraks' piano, violin, desk, wallet and other personal belongings. The curation is pretty good telling the life of a traveling composer who left an indelible mark not only in Czech music but in American music as well

Dvorak is one of my favourite composers. This was a fascinating look into the man's life, upbringing and all of his works. Did not know that he spent two and a half years in the US, for example, where he served as directory for the National Conservatory of Music in New York. The building itself is also wonderful to visit, however not maintained to the highest of standards.

The museum was a captivating experience that seamlessly blended history, art, and culture. The exhibits were thoughtfully curated, offering a rich and diverse collection that catered to all interests. The interactive displays and informative signage enhanced the learning journey. The museum staff were knowledgeable and passionate, adding depth to the visit. A must-see for anyone seeking intellectual stimulation and an appreciation for human creativity.

Wonderful little Museum! If you take your time, yoi'll need 30 minutes tops. BUT those 30 minutes are well spent in a outstandingly good curated exhibition.

(Translated by Google) It's a place where Dvorak fans can go. It is a facility that has a thin connection. It's small, so if you're not a mania, you'll end up in about 15 minutes. Facility information varies depending on the site, so please check the official website. We went during the Christmas season and wrote that we did not do it on the summary site, but when we went to the official site, we seemed to do so, so we opened it when we went to see it. As location is bad, we think that we do not have to go by force. The nearby horror shop is more thrilling. A nearby restaurant, U Kariha, is a restaurant listed in the guidebook, so it would be nice to add that.

It's a very small and simple, but cute museum of one of the most famous composers. It definitely helps that it's located in a beautiful historical building which makes it feel much more special. It's more old fashioned, but you can listen to much of his music, see a documentary or draw a picture of him.

Small museum dedicated to Dvorak and features lots of his original belongings donated from his wife and family when he passed. Not too many rooms but quite a long documentary upstairs to summarise his life. Spent about 45 mins here. Affordable tickets.

A smaller museum but very well done! Fantastic pieces with good descriptions. They even gave a history for the rear courtyard. They do close for thirty minutes for lunch, but sitting in the courtyard was very pleasant!

Small but insightful museum. I came 30-40 minutes after the opening on Sunday and there was only me as a visitor. The museum was calm and a bit interactive. The staffs are nice and very helpful, especially on the second floor. I was a bit confused with the audio session, and the staff was so kind to help and even moved the chair closer to me to sit while listening to the music. I really appreciated the hospitality at this museum. I bought the ticket online in advance and the while process was super easy. You will only need to present the e-ticket to the staff at the lobby and that's it.

Housed in a beautiful Baroque gem - villa "America" in Prague, Antonín Dvořák Museum is a place definitely worth a visit. Mostly recommended for music lovers, but architecture lovers will be satisfied as well. Inside you'll find some personal belongings of one of the greatest Czech composers, photos, his rewards, some documents etc. You'll learn about his life and work - there are some fascinating documentaries to be watched upstairs (in English and Czech). The staff is very helpful and the atmosphere is unforgettable. The villa is close to the Pavlova metro station (line C). The museum is not big, quite traditional and the entrance fee is pretty low (50 CZK). I enjoyed my visit there a lot!

The museum is small, but provides detailed information on Dvorak's life and works. The ceiling of the second floor is beautiful, and there is a room where you can select different compositions to listen to. For anyone remotely interested in the life of Dvorak, this museum is a must-visit destination.

Small but full of interesting tidbits. For those who don't know much about Dvorak there is some history. For those who know Dvorak, you'll get a kick out of seeing his possessions and see the contents of his past letters. Very affordable and cute little museum with a small but quality (no generic Czech travel trinkets) gift shop.

(Translated by Google) I'm not exactly a big fan of classical music, but it doesn't matter if I don't learn something new about the life and work of Antonín Dvořák. The museum in the baroque summer house Amerika is tucked away in Ke Karlovu Street and behind its building a beautiful piece of nature in the form of a recreation park, where you can't hide much from the sun. Yet a relaxing sitting. Visit as part of the event Up to 9 museums in 5 days for a ridiculous entrance fee of CZK 100. Small museum about the life of this great Czech composer. Museum is located in a beautiful villa in a quiet neighbourhood of Prague, off the beaten path. Entrance was rather cheap. Lower floor showcases some personal items and photos, upper floor is a small concert hall with a small temporary exhibition. Worth the detour when visiting Prague and in need for some rest far from the maddening crowd.
