The Prague Ghosts and Legends Museum was pretty cool. It does go underground with some eerie tails and displays that you can interact with. You will use you phone to listen to the legendary ghosts so make sure you are able to use it. The last thing you should know is the staircase you will have to go down is pretty steep and spiral so good shoes and hold on to the rail! But all in all it was fun and interesting to see.

Disgusting experience with the reception guy. Imagine coming as a Ukrainian to a museum and listening from this pro-putin drunk receptionist that your capital is encircled (it was not), the war is an outcome of American propaganda and those were Ukrainians fighting each other on the East for the past 8 years. Once we moved a few steps away he intentionally started watching russian news out loud. How come that he still holds this workplace?

I don’t usually bother leaving bad reviews online, but I felt rather upset and believe it might be useful for fellow travellers to know this; This museum does not allow service dogs. Now, before you go and think “no dogs means no dogs”, please know that my dog has the proper paperwork, the proper vest and I always carry my legal papers in case I meet any trouble. I was asked ‘what, are you blind?’ As a response to me explaining that my dog is a service animal and I’ll happily prove it if need be. Most of the time, people see the vest and know that 1) my dog is trained and will not cause trouble and 2) legally speaking, I cannot be expected to separate from my service animal unless incredibly necessary. Those situations are rare and close to impossible. I don’t know if there is a loophole where a business can refuse entrance (the man literally shut the door so I could not go) regardless of legal service animal paperwork… but I was very disappointed. Please note: I also had my dog in a carrier to facilitate people’s comfort. I do not need to do this, I purchased it entirely to make it easier for those with animal fears and/or allergies. I have PTSD and I am Autistic. Not all disabilities are visible, please do better. Thank you. I did not end up being able to go at all, the man did eventually give up and rudely said I could go— but at that point, I didn’t feel safe doing so and left the premises.

Some of the scenes are creepy. But an improvement must be done in order to make it more scary. Perhaps some sound effects. Not a big deal, but good enough to make out with your GF.

Near the entrance, there's a QR code to download an outdated audioguide app. Definitely get this app! The audioguide is fantastic, leading you through the museum with tons of backstory of the legends and ghosts exhibited here. It's a bit gimmicky and macabre, but if you like morbid things, you'll love this place! There are so many ghost stories and legends to explore here, it's so well done. And many of the exhibits are interactive as well, so you can get stuck in and get your scare on. What a great place.

Have to disagree with some negative reviews probably due that we visited the museum on late morning (4-6 people). Of course you may expect something similar to a "horror theme house", this is not a walking evening undeground tour of the city. The girl at the ticket desk really knows her job and gave an awesome explanation of how the museum "works". Very kind person. The first part is more based on reading legends / stories while the underground part is really enjoyable when there are no other people who bother during the "ghost research". As integration you can evaluate to purchase a combined ticket for this museum plus the Alchemy Museum.

Don't go in with any big expectations. Don't get me wrong, it's fun! But the walking tour audio didn't work, not sure we needed it though. It gets fun when you head down the stairs! It's fun for the wrong reasons!

Interesting tidbits of local history mixed with some interactive and suitably macabre sets. The vibe of the place is more quirky than horror. Keep that in mind and you’ll love it.

Absolutely inadequate and aggressive ticket seller at the entrance. Apparently, he did not hear that we greeted him, it infuriated him, he began to ask where we were from and how they greeted him in our country. I tried to find out what the problem was, he began to say something in Czech in a raised tone and aggressively, as a result, he brought my colleague, with whom we came together, to tears, and he simply kicked me out. I haven't come across this anywhere else. I strongly do not recommend visiting this place and coming into contact with this abnormal.

Super bad experience. I have bought a double ticket for this and was told it is open until 22:00. We came at 21:30 for the tour and there was one older fat guy there that told us super agresive that we can not visit because it is too late. I kindly asked him if we could maybe do a fast tour as we were leaving the city the following day and we would like to use the tickets we bought. The guy then got very aggresive and said “Do you speak english?” … I said this is BS since we bought the tickets and were not allowed to use it. He than slammed-opened the door and shouted: “Do you want to fight me?” 😒😒😒 I was not sure if I should call the police or not, but chose not to, however I strongly recomand you not to visit this place in order not to get your holiday vibe get ruinned as long as such behaviour is displayed as face of a touristic attraction.

I visited as along with the Museum of Alchemy and must say that although ut is interesting, I would not really call it a museum. It is more of exibition or similar. The clerk was very funny and helpful and the audio presentatiob was intersting

Audio guide not working! A lot to read so if you come with your kids be prepared to read to them since the height of the text is not fit for kids necessarily. It is connected to the alchemy museum, try to avoid that one. Also if you do not want to read the stories you only remain with a rooms full of props.

It is what it is! First part is lots of wellwritten information and display pieces of the Legends amd downstairs we meet them! Would be a five star if there was an enthusiastic guide instead of just walk through.

I brought my son, nephew and nieces here. The Museum is alright but it would have been a lot more fun if it was with sound effects. It was too quiet for a ghost museum. Otherwise everything was okay. We were here on a weekend and had not many people and the wait to get our tickets were super fast.

The museum itself is somewhat entertaining, it is not very special though. It does serve as a refreshing break from sightseeing and spending time in normal museums. The entire museum + audio guide take around 1 to 1.5 hour to complete.

Been to Prague twice, went to this museum every time. Before my second trip it took me a while to find out the name of this museum because I didn't remember it the first time around. I swore I would visit it once again, and I did! Creepy. Unsettling. Gothic. Amazing. A damp and cold cellar with much horrors in store. Recommended! If you dare...

Quite boring museum. Excibitions are old and made poorly. Might be interesting for small kids, but my kid could not have stopped laughing all the time she was there. As an example, attaching photo of a "scary golem", if we believe the audioguide 😬

The weird ticket seller intentionally insulted the nationality of both my spouse and me. He said I should escape the US. He said Ukraine will not be a country much longer. We only stayed because my kid was excited about the ghosts. The museum is like a bad Halloween store in quality of the exhibit and only of interest for little kids 10 and under as a cheap haunted house. Don't go.

Good museum which has a lot to read, I think an audio tour is available if you don’t want to read a lot. Lots of history to read about, lots of sounds and opportunities to interact in the museum. There is an upstairs and an underground area, lots of re-enactments of Prague history, learned a lot. Nice and quiet and can take yourself around at your own pace. Quite a short attraction but ok.

The museum is relatively small and will be more interesting for children than for adult persons. Still it is worth seeing as you can touch the exhibited objects. If you buy a combo-ticket, you get a discounted entrance to the museum of alchemists and wizards located nearby. Discounts on boat tours are also included in the price of the combo ticket, just ask for the number on the ticket and proceed to Vltava boat tours on the Charles bridge.

Do not go in with high expectations! This is a short, simple tour and the majority seems made up. However, if you don't take it seriously and go with friends/a date, it's a fun tour (very much fiction over real folklore) and the staff are super friendly. We also did the escape room which was cheap and really worth doing !!! All automated but spooky and fun.

Museum is nicely made. Unfortunately the complementary audioguide was a bit confusing as there were no clear separation between the exhibits (at least the german audioguide).

Not so scary but a great experience anyway! We found it out randomly but it was nice to spend some time there! We bought a combo ticket for the alchemist museum as well and we had a great time there too with the guide explaining us all the stories about famous alchemists in Prague!

Kinda short and not as good as the alchemy museum. The guy running the ticket counter kept making us listen to his conspiracy theories and weird political beliefs

If you visit the Alchemist Museum( definitely visit the pub across the alley! as well) you can get a discount for visiting the Ghosts museum, which is cute and educational. Receptionist very funny. Not a big museum, children friendly

I'm giving this 1 star because I cannot give it 0 stars. This exhibit seems like it may have been good at some point but now it's very gimmicky and kitschy. The exhibit is full of poorly maintained interactive pieces where half of them are broken and none of them look very appealing or realistic. Seems like cheap Halloween-style decor instead of actually trying. There's also no photos attached to this review because nothing was worth photographing.

Oh dear, saw us coming! Don’t bother, might have a been better when the attractions first opened but they’re tired and quite grubby really, the Museum of Alchemists and Magicians of Old Prague particular. Sadly, not worth it, at all.

The girl with pink hair on the reception is very nice and extremely helpful. This museum is good if you download the audioguide and actually listen to it. You must plan time for this. The audioguide however could be made better. I was often confused whether I stay infront of the correct object. But for the money you better book a ghost legends tour.

We were in & out within 15 minutes...a mish-mash of badly put together cheap looking exhibits. Waste of money. Doesn't even deserve 1 star to be honest.

  • 2/5 Sina “EdgeLordSupreme” P. 3 years ago on Google
The "interactive" parts of the museum were mostly just turning on a light here and there or something insignificant. It seems more like a place for kids. Lady at the desk was nice though :)

  • 1/5 Martyn W. 4 years ago on Google
I really wouldn't bother. Whilst a reasonable description of the various legends is provided, this is provided altogether towards the beginning of the museum, with little link with the various exhibits which make up the latter half of the first floor. Reading all this material in one big hit was beyond me and eventually I started skimming and not really taking it in. (The museum would be much improved if this information was provided next to the relevant exhibits.) The second level is a bit of an enigma, I guess it's supposed to be a bit spooky, but unfortunately it doesn't quite hit the mark.

Small but a nice 30 minute visit. Not for people looking for a scare, but rather children. I was there with my seven year old and he enjoyed it and even got a little scare.

Might be fun for kids. As a grown up tourist, it's not super attractive. If you have time and into magical stuff, maybe.

Very disappointing place. Finished our visit in about 15 minutes or less. Actually, nothing to see there :( And thats all for 35€ family ticket!!

  • 2/5 Alexandre C. 7 months ago on Google • 2 reviews
A lots of the exhibits are broken and not well made. It is all about reading numerous signs. You have to be motivated to read so many signs. It could be made a little more interactive with more digital content. Therefore, It is not made for children. I would only suggest to people really into legends and motivated to read.

The person that work there was extremily rude! He wanted us to pay a different price (much higher) that the museum advertises. When I said I didn't understand the different prices he said that it was his price. When explaning to my friend this (she doesn't speak english) he became worse. Asked as to shut up and to talk to him only. We left as he was screaming something in Czech.
