While the visit to the museum was always a pleasant experience in the past, my last visit was probably the last. I don't like leaving negative reviews but I cannot be quiet about this. This time the tour was held by a different guide who wasn't well educated in the matter. As a cultural historian concentrating on the victorian era, I was horrified by the misinformation given by the guide. Especially when it came to corsetry. Not only did many historians prove that these ideas are false, some were just plainly stupid. Claiming the Victorian ideal was 40cm waist (which is average for a newborn) without sharing any proof of such claims just creates a bizzare show for the visitors while sharing actual proven research would be much more interesting. While the collection shown is nice, I would expect much better from a Victorian museum.

Schade.

(Translated by Google) Visiting this picturesque place grabbed my heart and will stay in it for a long time. It is not only a beautiful collection, but also the engagement of Miss Guide, who has shown incredible knowledge and allowed us with its engaging narrative to go back in time and get carried away in the past, when women's fashion really made women women. It will be our honor and pleasure to return to other exhibitions. Thank you!!!

I had no idea this beautiful little museum existed, and it was quite by chance that I discovered it, tucked into a side street near the castle. I felt I'd stepped into a dream world. The artistry and grace of the layout is as exquisite as the costumes themselves. I would love to go back to Prague, and another visit to this unique and perfect gem is top of my list of places to re-visit. I gather there are special exhibitions there as well, and this will guide me in my travel plans.

I came to this museum twice on different days during working hours. The 1st day I came, it was closed, I called, the girl told me that they would be working the next day. The next day, I came to their place in the morning, it was closed again, I couldn't call at first, then after a few hours I called and it turned out that they were not working again, they told me again that they would be working tomorrow. At the same time, or in order to get to this museum, I missed another trip, and my tickets were burned. I don't recommend it very much.

(Translated by Google) A very nice guide who narrates in an engaging way, she can answer questions and thanks to her we spent a pleasant hour in the museum. She showed us various interesting facts and rarities, emphasized exceptional pieces among the exhibits on display. The exhibition itself is beautiful. Who likes this period will be thrilled. Thank you.

(Translated by Google) The tour took place in a very pleasant private environment, the guide told her engagingly and it was clear that she really understood the issue. The exhibits will certainly excite all lovers of fashion and history and if you are lucky enough to get a special tour - for tea at five - add to the magical experience and authentic party. I definitely recommend.

It deeply upset me that we traveled from Budapest to Prague almost exclusively to see this beautiful exhibition, but IT WAS CLOSED! On the way to the museum from our accommodation in Prague, we even checked the opening hours on the Internet at the last minute! It said it opens at 10 a.m. When we got there, we found locked doors and a handwritten phone number. We called the number, and then a lady told us that her colleague was sick... She clicked! We would be happy if you would give us another time, or we could read about the closure on the Internet (if this excellent fast, up-to-date information option was invented) before departure, or if He would open the museum... We don't know why He doesn't open it. . IT WAS A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! :( The other disappointment was that we couldn't find any signposts in the area, we had to ask! What an amazing museum! It's a little hard to find--the only sign is a small poster on the side of a large building. You have to ring the buzzer in order to be let in, but once you're in you'll be happy you made it! It's small but *packed* with beautiful antique dresses. The guide is very knowledgeable and kind, and has worked there for 10 years. We learned a lot when we visited and we are glad we went. I highly recommend this museum!

(Translated by Google) I am very enchanted by a visit to the museum. What you can see here is a truly breathtaking experience. The beauty of handmade honest work, a gem of materials that can no longer be produced in this quality today. What I appreciate most, however, is the distinctive interpretation of the exhibition, about the lifestyle of people from about 1880 to 1920. It is a glimpse into the society of the 19th century / 20th century, not only an exhibition of clothing, but a complex social, political context. I highly recommend and thank you for a beautiful afternoon and a personal lecture on the lifestyle of years past.

(Translated by Google) Wonderful small private museum. Many old clothes, exposure is more for ladies. My admiration lady guide who masterfully managed the onslaught of visitors, manage the interpretation of the visitors to the open door and still operate it from her purse my hat off. The museum is near the metro station Malostranska about 80 meters. Admission is 250 crowns. Můj obdiv má paní průvodkyně která nápor návštěvníku zvládala mistrovsky, zvládat výklad návštěvníkům do toho otevírat dveře a ještě obsluhovat kasu to před ní smekám klobouk.

Schade!

The place is closed temporarly. The paper that said that was not even written in English. Appear open in Google. The place is in an appartment building and even someone that live there doesn't know it or it's condition. Probably a small place that's more like a tourist trap...
